Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Age| Event
1| Yoshimitsu is born a year after The Great Demon War. Saito Hanzo is exiled from Cloud to go abroad to the Fire Country and marry a Hyuugan woman.

2-3|Hanzo leaves but stays within the Lightning Country. Rei brings Yoshi out to the country and the three frequently stay for weeks at a time together.

4|Hanzo proposes to Rei and the two get married. He forgoes the name Saito and takes Masaru moving back into the village since he is now a part of a new clan.

5-9|Yoshimitsu is trained for the next 5 years under many mentors within his clan. His father taught him how to use unarmed combat. While Yoshi did not show signs of the Byakugan they did develop intertwining techniques from the Hyuuga Clan. He learned how to Hunt and use weapons from Rei and the Hunts Master. Basic shinobi lessons happened frequently in the clan, such as stealth and chakra control. There were also physical regimes to build sturdier bodies in the Masaru. Lessons of creatures and vital points were crucial for battle.

10-11|Yoshimitsu attends the Academy and completes his basic year of instruction to become a genin. However at the age of 11 his father got very ill and the doctors said that he only had a year at best.

12| The family left the village to travel for a year taking time off from being shinobi and spending time together as a family. They traveled to the other shinobi nations and spent 3 months in the Wind Country meeting the Ikoji clan and learning a bit about the northern sands culture. Shortly after a year had passed Hanzo’s condition became critical and they went back to Lightning where he spent his final days surrounded by loved ones.

13-14| Yoshimitsu was slightly growing distant since Hanzo’s death but one day he overhead his mother and the Clan Council having a meeting. Apparently his mother and some of the kinsmen took it upon themselves to hunt down any demon as payback for some of the clan’s losses during the Great Demon Invasion. They ended up slaughtering a clan of half demons who lived in the obscure mountains of Kumogakure but had missed the patriarch. This Halfling was far more ancient than the rest and it came at the Masaru with full strength. Apparently his mother and some of the other hunters did battle with the creature. They sustained three casualties from the group of twelve. They were finally able to kill the demon but in it’s dying moments it exploded and rained down a dark taint on them. Four out of the remaining nine were cursed at that moment but did not realize they were carrying a plague. Three of the plague infected Masaru died on the trek back but Rei survived somehow. However the taint passed on to Hanzo likely during intercourse. This would also explain another tragedy that Yoshi had not known, but apparently his mother had miscarried twice ever since being infected.

He would later confront Rei on these secrets and in an emotional confrontation he blamed her for the death of three in their immediate family. Yoshimitsu would then on communicate with his mother very little. She was stubborn as well but inside it tore at her to know her son hated her but he didn’t care. The wayward boy would spend a lot of time mixing it up with the wrong crowd and not paying much attention to his shinobi duties, he even allowed a few illegal acts to go “unnoticed” with some of the local criminals.

15| His rebellious nature would come to a halt when his mother soon contracted the illness of the taint as well. She fell into a coma, bedridden and diagnosed to die in a few years, which is more than Hanzo ever had. At this moment a tearful Yoshimitsu took to the monastery lost and confused without a way in the world. It was then that he was greeted with the warm winds of the country as a soft rain fell at the Temple of Raiden.

It’s possible that he was hallucinating, but apparently a wind spirit, a fae messenger of the younger god Fuujin sought him out. They answered his cries suggesting a different path that the young boy could follow one that would be hard but would prosper. The fae told him that his path would unfold when accepted the universe’s blessings and allowed the wounds in his hear to heal. Yoshimitsu reflected, tearful once more yelling out that he did not want to lose his mother. The fae told him to absolve himself of his sins and the Gods Raiden (Raijin) and Fuujin would provide a way, while it would not be a solution upfront he would be able to find one if he trusted.

After repenting for his sins the young shinobi left the temple and went back to the village. Yoshimitu began to make a life change slowly leaving the rebellious attitude and taking his job more seriously. He worked himself tirelessly night and day training and striving to become a better warrior and a better man. During the next year many things began to change in his life.

16| After his 16th birthday Yoshi’s vision began to waver as if he was going blind. The medical division did not have answers for why this was happening but they were able to craft him contact lenses in the meantime. This vision problem did not hinder him, in fact it made him stronger as he began to make his fighting style more flexible following the slight motions he could see and the noises around him.

With this intense work ethic he was able to make it to the Chuunin Exams, passing with flying colors. It was there he was scouted out by the upper echelon of the Main Branch taking note of his tremendous willpower. Yoshimitsu was sent on higher ranked missions and given more responsibility within the Main Branch such as training students and undertaking the Gate Guard position.

Close to the end of the year Yoshimitsu found his calling in the form of a black letter. He was being given an offer within OGRE’s Special Forces. The intelligence agency of the Main Branch a place he could make some serious pay if he survived and completed his missions. These missions would entail him to go behind enemy lines and gather information. Sometimes he was meant to create chaos in the enemy’s homefront, and the darkest of missions would come in the form of pure assassination. Regardless his job had gotten heavier but with the amount of money he was going to make it was possible to find and pay an expensive medical expert to cure his mother before her time ended.

17| The work within Ogre was not exactly what he expected but it was good pay none the less. After five months on the squad he was able to use their connections to find a noble and well referred to medical guru, named Fujiwara, who examined his mother’s condition (not without being paid some money upfront). His examination was one of bewilderment but he claimed that it acted much like a virus that attacked every cell of the body. Fujiwara said that he would take a month to research this strain to find anything similar and would begin treatment immediately, until then he had Rei suspended in a stasis like jutsu until his return. Also during this time Yoshimitsu had Fujiwara check his eyes. The stern medical expert agreed for a sum of course.

The examination itself was course and thorough. He was rough but doctor did know his craft. After two grueling hours the doctor chuckled at Yoshi. He began by telling the nervous shinobi that he was not going blind and if anything those contacts would make it worse.

-By now the young one had been swapping out the lens every month prescribing a stronger pair than the last. When he took them off there was a brief moment of clarity followed by utter pain.-

So the doctor began to explain what was going on. Yoshimitsu was a late bloomer, and thanks to his muddled blood lineage he would not have realized it until later in life. In short the Byakugan, a coveted right to most Hyuugan was finally activating. The graying pigment his eyes were taking was not a sign of blindness but rather one of growth. The first step was getting rid of the contact lens as they were doing nothing but holding him back at this point.

The first three days were painful as hell. Yoshimitsu did not wish to move and his entire frame ached. The worst of it was the burning sensation in his eyes, and the constant blacking out was "fun" too. Once the first three days had gone by the next week or so was like a healing process. Little by little his vision was regaining its normal composure and growing. Within a month his eyes were nearly at 20/20 range and they were gray like his fathers. One of the best parts of waking up in the morning was looking at himself in the mirror. He had come far and changed his path entirely. These eyes were a testament of the man he was going to become and surpass. Even though his Hyuugan eyes were healing the Byakugan had yet to flourish.

18| Rei (his mother) was receiving Fujiwara’s treatment becoming healthier with each passing week. While she was being cured of her taint, Yoshi was learning how to control his Byakugan. Getting the Saito Clan to teach him would have never ended well and so instead of going through that shame and ridicule he decided to seek out another clan. The Uchiha were cousin to the Hyuuga in terms of origin and the two Doujutsu were coveted as some of the strongest in the entire world. While the application of the Byakugan was completely different Yoshi needed instruction on activating and controlling the flow of chakra within doujutsu.

The Uchiha were kind enough to oblige feeling for the child’s predicament. The key lesson in controlling a doujutsu was to learn your chakra flow. He had to experiment with his chakra numerous times until he could figure out the flow of it. Energy was like water, it flowed, it could be willed, and it spiked erratically whenever it felt like it. Chakra was much like a current and the body was the conduit. When you learned that simple lesson the next steps got easier.

Activating the Byakugan was overwhelming at first. He could see everything around him at once; the near 360 degree vision was a killer pain but it was exhilarating and scary all at once. He was only able to hold this state for about 20 minutes and then it cut off abruptly.

Everyday Yoshimitsu would train his Byakugan until it was that of an intermediate user. Once the rehabilitation of his eyes had been completed he was able to utilize the new doujutsu easily and while he was no expert (yet) there was more usage here than ever before.

19-25| The next series of years to come held importance for Yoshi’s future. For one his mother was healing well and though they had issues in the past, it seemed that things had smoothed over. He was tentative to her care but still responsible in Kumogakure. Ogre was becoming a forefront of his positions as he worked diligently but took many missions away from the village. Out of the next six years he was only in the village for two.

From the ages of 20-24 Yoshimitsu left the village under a new identity “Yon Kotimitsu” which required him to cut his hair and dye it black. After some general trouble making and mercenary requests, he found his way into the syndicate “Karmatic Fox”. They were a bunch of extremist trying to destroy the capital of Lightning and bring down the Shogun and while they meant well they were going to do more harm than help. The first year was proving that he was a rough and tough fighter beating down fifteen of their men in succession (while hiding the Byakugan of course). Yoshimitsu was made an enforcer, helped the grunts run raids and they would pressure farmers who supported the capital. It was somewhat tough to be the “oppressor” but it was a necessary evil.

The next two were promotions for Yoshimitsu. He rose through their ranks as a general and was soon on the front line of the resistance fights. These were harsh battles as Yoshimitsu was supposed to try his hardest not to kill the empire soldiers, but some deaths were unavoidable. Things got even worse when he had to do battle with his Cloud brethren, he would refuse to kill them but thanks to his Byakugan he knew how hard to hit them and where to knock them out and make them appear dead. The tougher part was hiding his eyes during these years but with color changing lens (not like medicated ones to mess with his vision) he just came off as having cloudy colored eyes. During battle he'd just be solo so no one would see the veins around his eyes if he had to use the Byakugan.

The mission reached the height of its climax near his 24th Birthday. The Karmatic Fox had been spent that year before raiding specific facilities for weapons, medicine, and captured an engineer the one responsible for creating the palace of the Shogun. On the night of their attack Yoshimitsu hung behind while the main battalion went forward to the Capital. He sent word to both the empire and Cloud so they knew what routed Karmatic Fox was going to be taking. Before now they had been secretive using underground tunnels to get around and take out their targets or stage attacks. This would be the first time where a large chunk of the group would be above ground heading out together although it would be in the dead of night.

Yoshimitsu went back to their base and took down some of the stragglers who were about to execute the engineer. Yoshimitsu freed the estranged man and had him give his advice on the most effective way to cave in the tunnels of Karmatic Fox. After setting up paper notes in the most effective support areas, they left the tunnels and waited ten minutes before blowing the foxhole. Once his task was done he could finally head home back to Cloud and back to his family. Cloud and Empire would ambush Karmatic Fox taking them by surprise and overwhelming them. It was reported that anyone in that march died, at least two of the leaders were now dead. It is not known where the rest may have ran off too but they would not have the means to attack any time soon and were wanted at large. Now that Kumogakure and the Shogun's forces had their identities pegged the hunt would be able to take place. This was the mission that brought him to Jounin level, taking a risk for four years behind the enemy lines and living to tell the tale would get anyone to that status.

25| He was now back at home and still working for the intelligence division and giving his general hand to the village. Many unfortunate things had happened to the Clan. Yuuto's pact with a demon and revealing the source of their shadows. The schism he caused when he left, their home being raided to ensure that no one else was apart of his one man platoon against the government of Cloud. However things weren't all bad, this brought them together more as a Clan reinforcing the need to trust in each-other and his relationship with his mother Rei was stronger than ever. Currently he is looking into the rise of Frost giants outside of Kumo's territory planning an assault on their matriarch.

A clan of fierce Taijutsu practitioners known far and wide for their unique style of fighting, the Gentle Fist. The clan's Taijutsu prowess is acknowledged throughout the ninja world, and the Hyuuga are acknowledged as Geniuses in the Ninja arts. However, more popular than their Taijutsu skills are their most unique and noticeable trait; the Byakugan, commonly referred to as "The All-seeing Eye". <B> Byakugan - Activated Passive<i></i>
The most basic, yet also the key to the rest of the bloodline, the Byakugan is the famous Doujutsu of the Hyuuga clan. This ability is only able to be used by the Hyuuga due to the number of chakra lines in their eyes region. Pouring chakra into these chakra lines enhances their visions, allowing them to see for hundreds, sometimes thousands of meters around, and grants them the ability to see all forms of chakra, and the chakra system of those around them.

Rank 1: +1 Accuracy/Dodge, 500 meter visual range.
Rank 2: +2 Accuracy/Dodge, 1000 meter visual range.
Rank 3: +3 Accuracy/Dodge, 2000 meter visual range.

Gentle Fist - Passive<i></i>
The taijutsu style used by the Hyuuga is an odd one, and through their training they have incorporated their skill into all sorts of Taijutsu, the Hyuuga learning to not so much use brute strength, but instead rely on the softest touch, accuracy over power. Though one should be wary, the strength of their attacks does not come from their pokes and jabs, but the strength comes in the form of chakra blasts. Â Due to this the Hyuuga minimize the expenditure on any and all taijutsu, both physical and chakra based.

360 Degree Vision - Passive<i></i>
The Byakugan grants the user vision to such a large area and grants them clarity those outside of the clan can hardly imagine. Because of their Extraordinary Eye's, they are constantly watching all around them, and capable of seeing anything coming from literally a mile away. Because of this, the Hyuuga are able to avoid attacks far more efficiently than others, and have been said to be untouchable in melee combat, the true geniuses of Taijutsu.

Rank 1: 6% Auto dodge to all attacks.
Rank 2: 8% Auto dodge to all attacks.
Rank 3: 10% Auto dodge to all attacks.

Jyuuken Stance - Hyuuga Special Style<i></i>
The centerpiece of the Hyuuga fighting style. The Jyuuken stance opens the chakra points, allowing the Hyuuga to funnel their chakra infused taps through their hands and feet, creating the power that their style physically lacks. It is this lethal combination formed by their speed and accuracy that makes the Hyuuga the feared and renowned bloodline that it is, living up to the legend of them defeating the most skilled opponents with the slightest of touches.

Rank 1: The user's unarmed attacks only deal 80% Damage, but they gain +1 Accuracy and +1 Critical, and have a 40% chance to cause internal bleeding. Unarmed Called Shots gain a +4% Chance of success.
Rank 2: The user's unarmed attacks only deal 85% Damage, but they gain +1.5 Accuracy and +1 Critical, and have a 55% chance to cause internal bleeding. Unarmed Called Shots gain a +6% Chance of success.
Rank 3: The user's unarmed attacks only deal 90% Damage, but they gain +2 Accuracy and +1 Critical, and have a 70% chance to cause internal bleeding. Unarmed Called Shots gain a +8% Chance of success.

Notes:
- This style can only be used while unarmed.
- All CP costs are increased by 10% while active
- The initial chance to cause Internal Bleeding is only to see if the attack has the chance to cause bleeding. The normal Bleeding chance must still be successful to cause bleeding.
- Internal Bleeding has the same effects as normal Bleeding, though take's twice as long to heal. (ie: The user must heal each rank twice before reducing their Bleed Level)

Gentle Step Twin Lion Fist - Secret Clan Taijutsu<i></i>
A Technique able to be performed only by the Hyuuga, the Hyuuga performs this technique by gathering chakra into their fists. The Hyuuga then gracefully spins towards their target to strike them in their chest, sending a burst of chakra into them in the shape of Spectral lion heads around their fists. The sudden jolt of chakra impacting upon the Target's center line is often enough to stun their reflexes and cause most opponents to flinch.

Rank 1: The Hyuuga spins, striking their opponent and dealing 620 Damage at +2 Accuracy. This has a 40% chance to cause -1 Accuracy/Dodge.
Rank 2: The Hyuuga spins, striking their opponent and dealing 910 Damage at +2 Accuracy. This has a 55% chance to cause -1 Accuracy/Dodge.
Rank 3: The Hyuuga spins, striking their opponent and dealing 1,110 Damage at +3 Accuracy. This has a 70% chance to cause -1 Accuracy/Dodge.

Eight Trigrams Tenketsu Strikes - Chakra Circulatory Assault<i></i>
The most famous technique of the Hyuuga and their signature skill, these strikes are Somewhat of an offensive/defensive move that sends an electromagnetic blast of chakra outwards to damage and push back enemies. With each strike, the Hyuuga targets tiny chakra points in the target's body, and with each precise strike seals more and more of the victim's chakra. The Hyuuga are able to tap these tiny targets with such precision that the target may not even now what hit them should they not be on the top of their game, and end up with their chakra sealed.


Rank 1: The user Strikes four times, starting with 30 Physical Damage, 0.25% Chakra Damage, this amount is doubled for each successful attack.
Rank 2: The user Strikes six times, starting with 30 Physical Damage, 0.25% Chakra Damage, this amount is doubled for each successful attack.
Rank 3: The user Strikes eight times, starting with 30 Physical Damage, 0.25% Chakra Damage, this amount is doubled for each successful attack.

Cost: 1.5 AP, 80 Chakra * number of attack per attack (so 160 for the second strike 240 for the third so on and so on)

Notes:
- Partial hits are treated as full hits.
- The user cannot attack points which have already been sealed.
- Chakra damage reduces the victim's Max Cp for the remainder of the battle.
- If the attack misses, that level of the attack must be performed again to move on to the next. The user starts from the point where they missed previously.
- Each attack represents the tenketsu palm strikes, the first being 2, then 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256. 8 attacks, each doubling the previous ones damages.

Kaiten - Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation<i></i>
The ultimate defense of the Hyuuga clan, the Kaiten is a technique in which the Hyuuga spins around at high speed denying any opponent to trace the blind spot in their defence. This technique shows the true control the Hyuuga have over their chakra, and with each rotation, the Hyuuga releases chakra from all points in their body, creating a repulsive barrier. This jutsu takes a high toll on the user however and though it's highly regarded for its defensive abilities the Hyuuga hold back on its use.

Rank 1: User autoblocks 40% of incoming physical damage, while attacking up to two targets with two Basic Strikes at +1 Accuracy. The user receives a -3 dodge debuff for a full round after use.
Rank 2: User autoblocks 55% of incoming physical damage, while attacking up to two targets with two Basic Strikes at +1.5 Accuracy. The user receives a -2 dodge debuff for a full round after use.
Rank 3: User autoblocks 65% of incoming physical damage, while attacking up to two targets with two Basic Strikes at +2 Accuracy. The user receives a -1 dodge debuff for a full round after use.

Air Palm - Eight Trigrams Ranged Taijutsu<i></i>
Another technique showing the Hyuuga's adept chakra control, this technique is used by the advanced Hyuuga, Taking their control of chakra to the next level. Using their hand speed and control of their chakra pores, The Hyuuga are able to release a large quantity of chakra quickly from the pores in their hands and then in a movement just as graceful as their Jyuuken stances, shoot it towards their opponent.

Rank 1: Releases a burst of chakra that deals 1,350 Damage at +2 Accuracy that pushes the target 14 feet away.
Rank 2: Releases a burst of chakra that deals 1,650 Damage at +3 Accuracy that pushes the target 17 feet away.
Rank 3: Releases a burst of chakra that deals 1,950 Damage at +4 Accuracy that pushes the target 20 feet away.

Jyuuketsu Combo - Hyuuga Unarmed Combo<i></i>
One of the most skilled techniques in the Hyuuga's arsenal, this is a fluid combination technique that enables the Hyuuga to strike using the speed of the Tenketsu strikes, and combining it with the attacking power of the Jyuuken. The outcome is lethal, and if it does not bring the opponent down normally, it surely will leave them in aches and pains...and without energy.

Rank 1: The Hyuuga Assaults a target with a barrage of Jyuuken strikes, attacking them 5 times each dealing 330 Damage at -2 Accuracy.
Rank 2: The Hyuuga Assaults a target with a barrage of Jyuuken strikes, attacking them 5 times each dealing 390 Damage at -1 Accuracy.

Eight Gates Assault - Chakra Circulatory Shock Technique<i></i>
Perhaps one of the deadliest techniques available to the Hyuuga, this technique fully utilizes their knowledge of the chakra system to utterly destroy the target from the inside out. Through skilled Jyuuken use, the Hyuuga are able to manipulate and strike the many tenketsu within the body. This skill involves the Hyuuga directly striking large bundles of tenketsu valves which regulate the flow of chakra; The Eight Gates. Striking these valves with their Jyuuken, the Hyuuga releases a burst of chakra which forcibly shocks the victim's Chakra system into releasing their flow of chakra within their body. Normally this would not do much more harm than an average tenketsu strike...But when used on a target that has had their Tenketsu Sealed, this sudden flow of chakra creates a dangerous backfire that harms the user from the inside.

Rank 1: The user palm strikes the chakra system of the target, sending a burst of chakra that shocks the system and deals 2,475 Damage to the target at -3 Accuracy. The victim takes Cp damage equal to 15% of the total damage dealt.
Rank 2: The user palm strikes the chakra system of the target, sending a burst of chakra that shocks the system and deals 3,795 Damage to the target at -3 Accuracy. The victim takes Cp damage equal to 20% of the total damage dealt.
Rank 3: The user palm strikes the chakra system of the target, sending a burst of chakra that shocks the system and deals 4,620 Damage to the target at -3 Accuracy. The victim takes Cp damage equal to 25% of the total damage dealt.
