Masquerade Fashion Show (Side-event)

Hakuren was more than just a bookworm. After finding his mother’s book he has started to become quite the tinkerer. Often he would try to use things in unusual ways. He rarely buys poisons, tools, traps or even gear and instead he creates his own. Before leaving to Leaf Hakuren created many outfits made from an unusual material. Hakuren’s godmother was a Yamanaka quite skilled in possessing creatures and critters. In a took few days but Hakuren was able to farm spider silk to create various sets of clothes. Spider silk strength and toughness is comparable to steel, while still being flexible like cloth. Each outfit is a set of armor that would protect the wearer without hindering mobility.

Within the village of Sand the Journeymen are a trade order that specializes in armors and weapons. It is said that a Journeymen is an expert in every form of armed combat and that their weapons which often bear their family name and sigil are the strongest, sharpest, and best weapons produced. In the present day Journeymen are not only unrivaled in their weapon martial skill but also skilled in armors and in some cases technology. Some Journeymen are tinkerers capable of making proficient EMP grenades, the creation and manipulation of mannequins or even the creation of armored suits capable of serving as more than a protective shell.

This was Hakuren’s goal in life and he sought after it even at a young age. Within one class he created a makeshift smoke bomb with sand, gunpowder and Chakra Induction Paper. Today however he is going to show off his abilities in armor making with a fashion show. It took a little bit of convincing with the Leaf officials running the event, but he manages to get there approval. Hakuren was allowed to set up stage within the academy, which had an event that went well with his own.

All models would be volunteers that participated in the mask making event. After one finishes making their mask they would be welcomed to walk the runway in one of Hakuren’s many outfit should they choose to do so. Hakuren would even allow volunteers to keep the outfit free of charge. The first person to walk the stage was a Shinobi from Cloud. She made a simple mask just covering the area around the eyes and she was wearing a musketeer type outfit.
