Ability Request

Combo Master - WC:140
For a shinobi to be truly effective in combat, they must be able to follow up with another attack of equal or greater power than the previous one. Shin understood this during training with his father that in combat that you have to be quick on your feet and be able to beat an opponent down into submission. By focusing on one getting multiply hits in, he would increase not only the speed on his blows, but also the agility to match his movements. Granted this did that him quite a while to be able to accomplish this feet, especially with constant impact to a wooden target he used for training causing bruising on his hands. But he felt the improvements, as the days became weeks and before long, he was able to effectively hit his target with relative ease.

Fearless - WC: 130
Shin lost any reason to fear anything around the age of twelve, his father strict training regiments and constant pressure in his youth to push the limits of Shin tolerance to pain, both physical and psychological. Shin doesn’t see any reason to fear pain, it is simply weakness that is leaving his body, and it alerts him when he is in danger. Why should he fear something to would save his life? On the aspect of death, Shin finds is rather anti-climactic if anything. Everyone bits to bucket eventually and even in his youth he understand nothing could change that. We either cowered to it or accept what will come. Shin choose the latter and it what allowed to survive his training to become a genin and currently as a chuunin.

Human Anatomy - WC: 193
Shin always had a certain fascination about the human body, specificity it ability to continue to find ways to surprise previous limits and overcome newer ones. However Shin also was interested on the points on people body’s that has natural prebuild weakness. For a shinobi, the ability to understand an opponent’s body language, and how much effort one needed to apply to certain points of their anatomy to make them break was any important aspect that he wished to acquire. It also would help to know what points of his body to protect, especially with his father understanding where to hit Shin to quickly incapacitate his son before he could gain any ground during their sparing matches. However there was another reason why he wanted to understand his anatomy, the demoniac ancestor that was deep in his genealogy. Did have demon blood make his body different? Could he have extra organs or bones that regular humans didn’t have? While he didn’t have a defiant answers to these questions, he does understand the human body, ensure that he can cover his basis and be able to know how he can takeout his opponents quickly.

Sensor - WC: 126
Shin has found the ability to feel chakra using only his basic sense as a good boon that has been gifted to him. He realized this talent during his days in the academy, when they as students were required to locate their classmates as sort of a ninja hide and go. Most of the time he would be able to finding where they were hiding, as he had a dousing ring pointing towards their locations. Early on he who sometimes mistake animals of students, as mistake that earned his a few starches for the local wildlife. He has further worked on this ability since said incidents, choosing to walk among crowds and see if he can pick out anyone with tracker while remaining nonchalantly about it.

Tracker - WC: 154
Shin felt that being able to find someone using only the minimal amount of clues could not only save his life but his teammates if they got separated during a mission. However he would have to start small, using regular wildlife and attempting to learn about their whereabouts through the markings on signs of their feeding habits though left over bones or fecal matter. However people where not animals, and Shin understood that while being able to locate animals would only slightly be effective on enemy shinobi. While attempting this with other academy student, during class he found that humans did leave slightly bigger clues, however it can become confusing to pinpoint their true area. It took him many years before he could tack a regular genin and even now he still is working on building up his skills on being able to effectively track other shinobi, even with the smallest amount of information.

Nimble Hands - WC: 138
Shin quickly found out that that using his gloves for Taijutsu skills made it increasingly difficult to form his hand seals correctly, often times screwing up the movements in such a way that barely any of his jutsu seemed to work and those that would work were weaker than intended. Understanding that this was a problem that he could not have, Shin continued to practice his hand seals without attempting to using any ninjutsu, just so that his hands could eventually get use to feel of the gloves. It took almost five months before he could he able to do low level jutus and another two years before he could masters a few upper tier jutsu without causing them to discharge accidently. The gloves eventually felt like a second skin, and any restriction he did have had faded.

Advance Affinity Request
Gravity [Major Affinity - Lightning | Minor Affinity - Earth]

WC:
622
As Shin stood looking at books in the library, a single subject caught his eye. Advance Affinities. He had often wondered after meeting a fellow shinobi if there was a way to create a new set of ninjutsu by combining the elements, resulting in something incredible. He understood that he did have a strong affinity for lightening, however he didn’t see how he could combine that his other affinity for earth. The two elements didn’t seem to contain any compatibility, and rather than just attempting something foolish and causing himself self-injury, he decided it would be best to look up these advance affinities himself. At first he couldn’t find anything that truthfully made sense, most of these books seemed to be long winded theories, and while provided him a summary of knowledge, it didn’t help much. Turning a page he stopped for a second, he eyes glancing over the sub-levels of his lightening affinity.
Major Lightning Affinity wrote:
Magnetic [Major Lightning + Minor Non-elemental] - By controlling the polarity of ions in the earth, the user can manipulate the magnetic forces around them. This allows them to control electromagnetic waves and use this in a vast variety of ways.

Gravity [Major Lightning + Minor Earth] - Gravity happens to be another particularly unique element; it takes the force around us and alters it with chakra. This allows gravity users to multiply this power or shift its focus, crushing or outright tossing around their enemies.

Storm [Major Lightning + Minor Water] - The Storm element deals with the combination of water and lightning chakra into a singular form of jutsu; appearing essentially as arcing beams of electric energy. The laser-like energy created from this release retains the speed of the lightning element and flexibility of water, making this element both accurate and precise.

Radiation [Major Lightning + Minor Fire] - A particularly interesting element, the chakra nature of Radiation enables the user to break down their chakra into a sub-atomic energy. Techniques of this nature are known for the unique ability to destroy the chakra within ones body, as well as other particularly dangerous effects.

Ink [Major Lightning + Minor Wind] - A unique form of ninjutsu that involves converting chakra directly into an Inky substance, capable of being scribed and manipulated in a variety of forms. Techniques of this nature have the trait of being particularly creative and flexible during any situation.

His smile slightly, reading over the statement about the gravity, making sure that he hadn’t misread what the book at said. To create learned this Gravity Affinity, it appeared that he couldn’t simply just slap together rock and lightening and hope for the best. Shin would have to someone learned had to use the force of lightening and the manipulation of earth to affect the area around him. Closing the book, Shin knew that this would require a rather long and intense trial and error on his part. A few days after his visit to the library, he attempted to begin said trial.

His first tried to memorize the chakra required to bring forth and release lightening jutsu. Next he made sure he understand the basic on utilizing his chakra to manipulate the earth, so that it could cause the ground in front of him to turn into pebbles. Focusing on this he attempted to expand the chakra around the area he made. He focused on the stones, trying to use the chakra to move them upward. For a few minutes nothing happened, before small burst of lighting started popping around the area. Ignoring them, he continue to try to manipulate the stones, not noticing the burst seem to becoming more frequently, with a small shake of a few stones. Shin pushed harder, his eyes forced on the pebbles as the burst seemed to die down. A single stone seemed to start raising from the pile, causing Shin to give internally smile. Okay, now-

A single large burst of lighting blew up the area in front of him, causing him a few stones to fly at him, striking his body. Shin clenched his teeth, stopping his manipulation of chakra, a single knee dropping to the ground. He proceed to wait the next few minutes to calm himself, least he started launching GigaVolts at the pebbles. The attempt had be a failure, though it didn’t dishearten Shin. He had made progress, he just need to work on stopping electricity from forming.

Shin would begin practicing again, using similar process, and making slight altercations to his hand signs. Some days, nothing would happen, and he would spend hours trying to figure out with altercations he need to make to cause a reactions. Other days he would get similar instances like day one, causing him to stop and make adjustments to his formula. This routine would continue for weeks until one day, Shin had made the right adjustment, causing the pebbles to raise before crushing them. Shin grinned in the moment, planning on using this adjustment for a few more weeks. Eventually once he was certain that he had truly learned gravity, he would stop using the pebbles and focus on developing the affinity. Until then, he would continue his practice.

Ability Request

Sixth Sense - WC:179
One thing Shin had appreciated during his training with his father, was the development of a sixth sense. His father would sometimes surprise his son prior to their training sessions, either making it so that he was handicapped or had some other disability that would make his son have to push himself in order to succeed. It got to a point that Shin would get an off vibe whenever he would go to certain locations to train; it would seem that he could spot something wasn't right on certain occasions, making him slightly more paranoid and rather tense when he received these feelings. This was prior to him developing his ability to sense chakra from people, so it would often be either a hit or miss with his ability. Once he had got into the practice of developing his sensor ability, more times than none he would know something was off the moment he would enter locations. It still wasn’t that most accurate reading, but his ability in detecting this things are far surpassed the alertness in his youth..

Advance Affinity Request(s)
Radiation [Major Lightning + Minor Fire]
WC: 696

Shin realized a few weeks after he had gotten back to the village that he need to something differently to change up the playing fielding against his targets. He had sorely underestimated an Uchiha and receive a constant reminder for it whenever he was dressing. While both his masters of lighting and somewhat understanding of water had kept him in the fight, he need something else to gain an advantage, especially considering who his next target was, he need to make sure that he could cause damage to his opponent chakra, while keeping them…mostly alive. As he laid down in the Sileo with his notebook, he crossed the small scribbles he made a few months prior.

Successful mastery of gravity. Next element = Radiation? Destruction of chakra and other possible mutation could allow for weakening of individual and ability of easy capture. High chance of harm to self if adequate mastery of lightening and fire not achieved.

He remembered this entry now. The trainee had been cautious about this element due to it unpredictable nature; the required focus break down the energies of fire and lighting to an atomic level was something that he truly wasn’t looking for. The risk of self-harm was high and he had just began his career. He didn’t want to make a stupid mistake that would end up maiming himself from the program.

Now however, especially with the control of gravity that he had gained, he felt himself ready for the task. Taking the book with him, he decided to leave the Sileo, preparing himself for what would be a long three months.
***

The first month, he hadn’t even focused only trying to combine fire or lightening chakra like he had done in the past to learn gravity. Rather, Shin had be training to use to elements in almost no existence size, spending chakra to make them as small as possible, yet with the same strength as a regular size jutsu. He didn’t dare attempt blending his chakra until this was learned, leaving him with many days of falling asleep days later from pure exhaustion. By the end of the month, he had manage to make his lighting chakra the size of piano wire, while the fire chakra was somewhat larger but not by much.

During the second month, he attempted to practice with clones, having them use low level jutsu against him as he would attempt to focus changeling the chakra into one element. The distraction did cause him to make small mistakes, but rather not to himself but the clones. A small spark striking him could cause him to stop changing the chakra correctly, causing a small explosion of chakra to dispel them. It was two weeks before he could manage without the distractions, even causing his body to get a feel for what was successful and what was night. Using this new elements, he found that the Radiation would give have a small glow green when he would fire it off; as well as cause small burns to appear on the clones he managed to hit. Sometimes he would stop the training with the clone so that he could right done what they were experiencing. Some would feel as their skin was burning underneath, while others would have felt as if their chakra was burning them from the inside. Something that Shin was hoping to hear. This wasn’t always the same for the clones he used, sometimes the green energy would not happen and he’d just have to update notes to see why.

The third month was the hardest, in the fact that he had to not use level of jutsu and rather just feel the effects of radiation though his body. He made sure that his was low enough that he wouldn’t be taking trips to the hospital, but high enough that he could get an understanding of controlling if through his body. He only did this with no distractions, finding the forest an easy location for him to control the raw energy coursing through his veins. It would take more practice with this aspect, but he was sure he would have it down soon enough.

Photon [Major Wind + Minor Lightning]
WC: 305
Shin found himself in the library yet again, however rather than focusing on jutsu to maim another chakra, he was focusing on elements with speed similar to lightening, but with less flashiness of it. Finding the same book that had helped him during his training for gravity, he found a section that he was looking for. However rather that lightening being the main element, it seemed that this ‘Photon’ element required a strong knowledge of the wind element. It was an interesting read, it seemed if he could pull this element off correctly, he would be changing the power of light itself. Being partial demonic he could help but think of the irony in learning this element. It was logical though for a shinobi such as himself to use techniques unexpected of him, and while it would be a bright element to use in an assault, the speed of it would make up for it in the long run. Closing the book, he began learning more about lights itself, wanting to get a better feel of how to use the living embodiment of the visible spectrum.

Many days a shift latter, he found himself practicing in a rather dark part of the forest, wanting to make sure that he would catch the sight of the element, as well as not to accidentally blind anyone wondering out in the open. To do this, he began practicing with the wind element, especially considering how it recent gain mastery of it, yet hardly used it. Focusing on how to convert the energy from wind and lighting to Photon would be something he was sure that he would have to practice long and hard for. Lucky since most of his time was spent underground with faculties to meet his needs, he had nothing but time to achieve this element.

Kinesis [Major Fire + Minor Wind]
WC: 322
The practicing with the Radiation Element had caused Shin to think about how he could change up his arsenal for the future. The greatest threat that the Uchiha had against him was the ability to see his jutsu and react accordingly. However…what if he couldn’t? This thought had come to him while Shin was messing around with the wind element, testing the visibility of the jutsu’s he had learned in the element. He had already manage to use fire chakra on an almost invisible level, why not attempt to mix its power with wind and see the results? Before testing this, Shin make sure to do some research at the library to see if what he was attempting was even possible? Having gone accustomed to going to the library when he was stuck on something that he couldn’t solve, he had found what he was looking for rather easily.

Apparently the library held books detailing the process that he was attempting, called the kinesis Element, as well as small describes of what the element could do. Well as described as an invisible jutsu can be. Gaining this new knowledge he began training once again, going through the similar motions that he done for his attempt to learn gravity. Specifically in learning how to emulate the Shinra Tensei, focusing on the aspect that it essential a large invisible force that rebelled opposition when used. Getting a feeling for that he began practicing with the manipulate of the wind elements, trying to picture in his mind what an invisible force would feel like; focusing on how much chakra was need to blend together to make such a thing. He would continue working through visualization as well as practicing with the element until Shin found himself comfortable with the Kinesis to the point that he was able to create a slightly visible barrier. Yes, Shin still need work, but at least he was getting there.

Ability Request

Swapping these abilities….

Combo Master - WC: 132

The ability to follow up attacks with devastating combos was something that the trainee had hoped that would aid him in his shinobi career. However, with the recent techniques he learned, the need for combos was becoming no existence. Most of his attacks were not been to be delivered one after another, the delay time between made it difficult to consider them combinations of each other. While his mastery of the elements had increased in a way that he could delivery attacks back to back with a high level of skills, there was always a moment that could break one of these attacks, leaving him vulnerable for assault. He would have to learn something new to increase his skills, something that would provide a better boon to him in the long run.

Sensor - WC: 127
The skill to search for someone based on their chakra alone was a skills that Shin had appreciated it worth for. That down side that this ability require near perfect concentration and in the middle of a combat situation this was a luxury that he was allowed. This along with his initiate into his new program, he discovered that there were jutsu capability of allowing him to track in a fraction of the time it took his sensor training to kick in. Shin was a logical being, and if something didn’t provide better benefits, he was better off spend learning something to replace it. Though he would still have a high chance of locating someone, the sensor skills were for the most part out of his mind.

Tracker - WC: 114
Shin felt that his abilities as a tracker, had taken a back burn in his pursuit to acquire more knowledge. He felt that while the ability was useful in a forest environment, it made it difficult to locate target within urban areas. Something that his a few of his jutsu could do with relative ease. Not to say that he did test himself self still during his journeys through the ancient forest, it was just that he was finding the skills to be less useful in the combat situations that he would be finding himself in. Maybe one the skill will help him once again, but for now it would be out of mind.

Nimble Hands - WC: 114
Shin pondered the usefulness of his gloves during battle, the items while useful, had never truly be his go to weapon of choice. Sure, he had no problem with getting up close and personal against an enemy, however that was mostly just to put them in firing range for a jutsu or a quick blow to the head. While it was a boon to be able to multitask going through hand signs, without having to remove the gloves, it didn’t truly give him that much of a combat advantage. If his fight with Shinku showed, he need something more than nimble hands to provide him with an advantage, something that he planned to pursue.

…for these ones.

0. Sentinel – ANBU Branch

1. Duelist – WC: 232
If you know others and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles. This saying was something that Shin truly believed when he had begun done the path of a shinobi. With all the training he had gone through, even to be at death doorstep, he had yet to truly understand what he was as a person. In the past, when he still contain the coldness in his heart, he would have disagree and past off this notions as illogical. Now, he had to think about this, the some fraction that his shell had been broken caused him to question things. Shin could need to learn to have faith restored back in his abilities, to understand these new ideals and believe that regardless of the small change in his personality; that his faith in himself would not be changed. So he practiced, working through his mission and trying to see how it had gone wrong. It was truth these soul searching that he his confidence began returning, and with it, a bigger understanding on those who would be his enemies. Without the hassle to know that he would pull through, he could focus on his opponent, full focused and understand what made them took. To face them in combat, he would know have a clear knowledge of what made them who they were and how he could end them.
2. Healing Factor - WC: 132
Shin felt the strain of his muscles as he continued to go over his abilities, he jutsu becoming more precise and focused, while his natural talents more refined, if not increase more lethal. It was days like these that he would find himself pushing his body more and more, the fear of breaking it not a factor, as the young trainee sought to seek to heights of his skills. Sometimes he would have to take small breaks to recover his stamina and chakra, while other times he would take a short nap and be back up with new found energy. Yes, the trainee was surpassing his body’s limits, though it still made him train harder for new goals. He had to always be ready, not matter what state his homes was in.
3. Initiative – WC: 112
A major problem that the trainee had discovered during his practice, was that his movements always seemed to have carried of a second delay, especially went casting large jutsu to end things quickly. Most battles could be over in a blink of eye, especially if the ones a person had to face contain unnatural abilities due to their genetics. It was something he knew all too clearly, the burns on his chest still reminding him for his failures. So he continued to train, the delay his movements once head, slowly but surely disappearing. Soon he would need to go hunting again, only these time he would be the one with the advantage.
4. Bloody Mess – WC: 129
Shin found himself staring down at the dead bear, the beast blood dripping from his hands at a unnatural level. He had gone off training near the ancient forest, and had been so engrossed in it that he had hadn’t noticed the bear until he struck. Granted the blow hadn’t so much as injured him as much as it had irritated the former chuunin. Granted his rage at the bear had properly been over the top, however he did not expect his hands to be covered in the blood. Given his dark nature, the blood hadn’t bother Shin in the slightest, it just confused him. His blows had been to end the bear, sure but not cause such a gruesome death. Perhaps, he had done enough training for today.

Shin looked down from the roof top he was standing at to stare at the gates of the village. It was habit he found himself learning whenever he was on duty, his eyes always checking to see if anything that could cause a potential threat came knocking at those gates. Now, bare in mind, it wasn't that he didn't trust those on duty at the gates. Rather, he always felt that he might see something they missed, his years as learning to track still causing him to point out the details. Perhaps his vigil did nothing aid in his home protections. But regardless, the trainee would always remain vigilant.
