Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kumomi has decided that it was time for her to start using what she knew to teach others in her village. Her constant studying and duplication of information scrolls was finally going to pay off. She made her way to her first designated classroom two hours before her class. She was nervous. The brainiac has probably planned for too many possibilities and probably has too many resources for a single class. Nevertheless she was excited to see what would come forth for her. She placed a small scroll on each desk, each a different color. She smiled as they all were all sealed with a different element. Blue scrolls could only be opened if the user's chakra had traces of a water affinity, red for fire, green for wind, white for lightning, brown for earth, and grey for a lack of an element. She made her way back to her desk, which rested in front of the entire class, and pulled out her personal scroll. It was significantly larger than that of the students, being two or so feet long instead of eight or so inches. Standing up but leaning on her desk she felt like she was ready to go. She turned to the blackboard and grabbed a piece of chalk to write a message to her students.
Blackboard said:
Welcome Class
Instructor's Name: Kugutsu Kumomi

Rules:
  1. As you enter please take a seat, do not mess with the scrolls that are on the desks
  2. Be kind to one another; not everyone has the same experiences as you
  3. Ask for help if need be; this is a safe place to learn
  4. Enjoy yourself; shinobi training doesn't have to be boring

She smiled and returned to her desk. It had been some time since she herself were in any classes, and she wanted to make sure that her students had ample amount of support to develop what ever natural talent that dwells within. If it wasn't for her clan she may have never picked up puppetry and she wouldn't know where she would be today without it. She smiled to herself as she reminisced on her first days trying to string her chakra into a puppet's core system. Snapping back out of her day dream she sat at her desk and began to wait for her students. She was ready for this.

Ayame entered the classroom feeling slightly nervous. This was her first real class in the academy. Everything she learned in her books was finally going to be used. She saw the sensei at the front of the classroom. She looked beautiful but also slightly intimidating. Ayame's gaze flew to to the blackboard behind the female. The first rule mentioned scrolls.

"Well scrolls should be easy enough. Not like I haven't been reading in all of my spare time," she thought. Ayame picked her way through the desks and finally found one that felt like home. She noticed the scroll on the desk had a blue seal. Looking around, she noticed that the other scrolls had blue, but also different color seals. "Ah, this must be for element affinities" Ayame began to remember back to something she read about how most shinobi had different elemental affinites and that each one could be different to the next shinobi.

As Ayame sat waiting on the other students, she could feel the teacher's gaze resting on her. Still slightly intimidated, Ayame peaked out from under her eyelashes and met the emerald gaze of the teacher. Ayame shuttered a bit from nerves and the thought of being in a room alone with this person. There was something about her that made Ayame on edge. Was she dangerous or was it just because Ayame was very nervous? She hoped that it was just her nerves and maybe she would calm down once more students came into the classroom.

((OoC: My post is short, but I tried to keep it open for you so that you could start on character development ^^))

As her first student walked in Kumomi smiled at the girl. She would gesture towards the desks as she would allow her student to make her way to the seat of her choosing. Kumomi stood up from the desk and walked around it starting her introduction. "Hello, I'm Miss Kugutsu. What is your name? Along with that would you be able to tell me something about yourself? For example, I come from a long line of puppeteers and I am training to be a Mednin."</COLOR><i></i> She tried to keep a warm presence towards her student to try and not ruin her first day on the job. She would listen closely to her student as she introduced herself.

After she got to know the girl's name she would reach into her pocket and pull out a small Brown Scroll, and twiddled it in between her index finger and thumb. Kumomi would gesture towards her student to have her do the same. "I see you have chosen a Blue Scroll<COLOR color="purple">. Do you know what these multicolored scrolls might represent?"<i></i> Kumomi wanted to know what this girl knew. She personally hated when someone assumed that she wasn't knowledge because of her age so she wouldn't do the same to her students, not now not ever.

The teacher walked around her desk and it was then Ayame noticed that her dress had slight movement to it that was different then when she walked, almost like it had a mind of it's own. The teacher stood in front of her desk and asked Ayame to introduce herself. Miss Kugutsu seemed a lot nicer and more friendly than what Ayame felt when she first walked in the room. "Hello, Miss Kugutsu. My name is Yamamoto Ayame. I don't have a special bloodline that I know of but I love to read books and scrolls and I am hoping to put what I learned to practice. I have heavily considered becoming a Mednin myself or to even be Anbu."

Miss Kugutsu gave a hint of a smile once Ayame finished her introduction. She reached down on her desk and picked up a brown scroll. She gestured to Ayame to pick up her scroll on her desk. She reached for it tentatively. Ayame reached back in her mind to a scroll she read a few years ago. "The different colors mean different elements, such as this blue one here means water and red means fire. So today our lesson might be to figure out what elemental affinity our chakra has." She hoped that her answer wasn't too much like a definition out of a book. She didn't want to seem like a know-it-all on her first real academy class. Miss Kugutsu didn't seem fazed by her answer at all. Maybe she somehow already knew that Ayame knew a bit more than the next person.

Kumomi smiled at her student, she saw a lot of herself in this young girl already. "Those are both good options." <i></i>She was glad to see a student excited to become a shinobi. The brighter the student the more effective the shinobi, especially in cases like this young kunoichi before the MiT. Kumomi would listen as her student would guess what she believed to be the purpose of the scrolls to be. "Exactly right, looks like I won't have to dumb things down for you."<i></i> She chuckled slightly to herself before standing up and off of her desk.

Pulling it open, the scroll revealed to have symbols and lettering made out into a mathematical array. "This right here is a seal. As I am sure you know, seals are chakra systems used and stored in scrolls and/or on individuals to create a predetermined effect later on by the addition of new chakra." <i></i>She let the scroll hang from her left hand as she lifted her right raising a single finger to gesture step one. "First, you must combine and mold you chakra. You can do this by focusing in your body, feeling your physical energy that will grow with training. Next is your spiritual energy; this energy is more of a thought, a feeling. Once you combine them in your body you chakra will develop and begin to be malleable."<i></i> At this point Kumomi was creating more chakra in her own system, but at a larger scale than normal so that her student may be able to feel it's presence even if she didn't yet know how to detect more subtle chakras.

"This is all information that you probably already know, but just to be sure I want to make sure you can manifest your chakra correctly."<i></i> She exhaled lightly before continuing. She raised her second finger. "Second step is the actual manifestation of your own personal chakra. Try placing your hands together, palm to palm. In your mind picture passing your energy from one hand to the other."<i></i> This step was vital, summoning up chakra was the first hard step of any jutsu. The third finger was now erected. "The third and final step is the actual chakra emission. After you can physically feel the chakra surging in your hands pull them apart and you should see the chakra in between them. I want you to press this chakra onto the center part of your scroll. If your chakra reacts we will continue, but if not I want you to try this process over and over until a scroll reacts."<i></i> Kumomi smiled. The reaction would be obvious because these scrolls held the actual elements stored within them, so the Blue Scrolls if activated would summon a small puddle of water in the center of the seal.

Ayame, always thirsty for more information, drank in every word the teacher said. As Miss Kugutsu counted down the steps, Ayame couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie. It seemed she finally met someone like her, someone who loved to learn new things. Her compliment towards Ayame didn't go unnoticed. Most people call her a annoying because she always had her nose in a book and new almost every answer to any question asked.

Ayame wasn't surprised to hear about seals. Her brother, Yusuke, always liked to flaunt his chakra capabilities using his to open scrolls for Ayame. At this thought, Ayame felt the sibling rivalry begin to raise her irritation levels. She had to do this on the first try. After listening to Miss Kugutsu's explanation, Ayame began to amass her chakra. Closing her eyes, she started to imagine her chakra system. She could almost feel the chakra running through the channels. Ayame placed her hands together, palm to palm, as the teacher stated. She pictured her chakra shooting through both palms and creating an unbroken link to either hand. Her palms began to tingle as she continued to concentrate.

Feeling confident, Ayame opened her eyes and carefully pulled apart her hands. In the center, there was a dim light shining between her hands. She stared at it in disbelief for a moment. She never thought she would actually get it to work on the first try. Ayame started, almost like someone snapped their fingers in front of her face to get her attention. Before she could lose that light in her palms, she pressed it to the seal on her scroll. She stared wide-eyed at the puddle of water that began to form and run off her desk. The teacher beamed at her.

...Success...

Kumomi grinned at her student, so water. This wasn't an element that she could personally use, but it was something that she knew of. Walking over to be closer to her student, Kumomi would clasp her hands together on the scroll which she still had in her hands. "Congrats! Perfectly executed, and very well done for your first try." She stepped closer to the desk beside her student. She opened up the scroll and surged her chakra into it. Sand began to pour out of it in abundance. With a chuckle to her student she would explain the situation. "As you may have been able to tell I have an affinity to Earth, but that won't prevent me from being able to help you. As you may know, shinobi can gain the ability of mastering multiple elements. I have an affinity towards not only Earth, but also Wind and Sand. I am also currently learning Fire style."<i></i>

She took a step back and motioned for her student to follow her towards the front of the room for it was more open. "So I have something I want you to try."<i></i> Kumomi made two handseals. Ox. Tiger. And lowered her hand to have her palm facing the ceiling. A sphere of spinning air began to develop. "You see, a lot of jutsu have a similar base. Try using these two handseals, Ox and Tiger, and concentrate your chakra into your palm."<i></i> She would wait to see how her pupil would do for the first half of this jutsu before continuing.

As Ayame continued to stare at the water rushing over her desk, she heard her teacher walk towards her. Looking up, Miss Kugutsu clasped her hands together and praised Ayame on a job well done on the first try. Stepping to the desk next to her, she reached out and touched the scroll there. Sand rushed out of the scroll and began to build up and fall over the side of the desk. The sand and the water met on the floor, creating a mini ocean. The older kunoichi must have seen Ayame's surprised expression and told her that she had an affinity for many different elements. "I didn't know that sand was an element that could be controlled but I guess it's obvious now that it came out of a earth element scroll." Ayame said glancing back up to the teacher. She was slightly irritated with herself for not realizing that other elements can come from the basic elements.

Miss Kugutsu motioned for her to follow her to the front of the room. Careful to not slip on the mess on the floor, Ayame somewhat awkwardly stood up from her desk. Once there, the teacher wove signs in front of Ayame, Ox and Tiger, and a sphere of wind developed in her hands. After recieving her instructions, she held out her hands and began to focus back on her chakra. Once she had her chakra system pictured in her mind, she wove the signs that were taught to her. After several minutes, a small sphere of rapidly spinning air was in her palms, not as strong and graceful as Miss Kugutsu's but it was there nonetheless. Ayame looked up at her sensei, hopeful that her sphere met her expectations.

((OoC: awesome so far, now for this use your elements))

Kumomi was surprisingly proud of her young prodigy. The teacher watched as the student would focus her chakra and summon forth the spiraly of chakra. "Awesome Ayame, This is the first step of an effective jutsu. This is called the Change of Form. The second is the Change of Nature. I now need you to remember what it felt like to summon forth that water and do it now."<i></i> As she explained large gusts of wind began to develop from within her palm. "Because I use Wind, I will demonstrate the jutsu in the Wind Style."<i></i>

Kumomi turned to face the desks on the right side of the room. "I will be using the Wind Style: Pressure Burst, but your's will be Water Style: Water Gun."<i></i> With a smile on her face she turned her palm towards the desks and released the jutsu. A blast of wind shot forth and flipped a few rows of desks. Kumomi looked over to her student as if saying, "Did you see that?" "You're next. Don't be worried about how strong it is now for it will get stronger with practice."<i></i> She stepped back to get out of her student's way and gestured to let her know that it was now her turn.

Ayame was in awe of her sensei. This powerful kunoichi was able to scatter desks as if they were paper without even trying. Somehow, Ayame was able to keep her chakra sphere alive while watching the powerful performance. "So is it ok if I tear this room apart too? I'm only a student." Ayame was unsure that it was ok for a young academy student to destroy a classroom but the older kunoichi was unfazed by the devastation. She turned towards the side of the room with desks that haven't been thrown askew and recalled the feeling of opening the sealed scroll from earlier and at the sight of the water flowing out of it.

Looking back down at her hands she noticed that water had replaced the chakra that was in her hands. She glanced back up at the desks, took aim,

"Water Style: Water Gun!"

When the last syllable left her lips, a steady stream of water shot out from Ayame's palm. Not near as strong as Miss Kugutsu, her jutsu was only able to push a few desks a few feet from where they stood. With the room now covered in water, Ayame turned back to her sensei.

Kumomi nodded to her student as she asked if it was okay for her to attack the room. Of course it was, a little destruction of school property never really hurt anyone. She would watch her young student begin to quickly pick up the style of chakra manipulation into a Change of Nature. Kumomi could see the chakra reservoirs in the student's hands slowly turn to water before shooting out her Water Style attack. The current of water would do no damage to the likes of Kumomi, but if this was shot at a peer it would certainly knock the opposing student back a few feet. Kumomi let out a laugh of joy. She loved watching knowledge expand. Speaking of expanding knowledge, it was time for some of her own personal style of knowledge to develop.

"Excellent Ayame, keep up this pace and you'll be able to pick up all five elements in a matter of a few weeks."</COLOR><i></i> Kumomi chuckled lightly before pointing a finger at a Grey Scroll. A beam of blue chakra shot forth and connected to the scroll before glistening off into a near invisible width. Rolling her hand over and making the "come hither" motion the scroll would float through the air and land into Kumomi's hand. "So your affinity of Water Style is quite evident, but now I want you to try this one." She handed the scroll to her student. <COLOR color="purple">"This is a Non-Elemental Scroll. To make a reaction you will have to focus extra hard before you notice anything. Non-Elemental chakra is a base for many techniques including both Medical and ANBU style jutsus, along with Puppetry, some Taijutsu, and Genjutsu. Chakra works in numerous ways and the more way you learn to form your chakra the better off you will be."<i></i> She flicked all of her fingers out towards the desks, tiny spider like webs shot forth connecting to the desks and chairs before realigning the room back into the manner in which it was in originally. She looked over at Ayamu. "I for one, prefer to use my Change of Form more so than my Change of Nature which allows me to use different styles of Puppet Techniques."<i></i>

Walking over to her desk and reasserting herself to sit on top of it and crossing her legs, the Kunoichi raised a hand over her head and summoned forth three puppets the size of cats. The first one was a in the shape of a wasp. It's design was clearly built for attacking with blades, senbon, and kunai all visible waiting to be launched from it. The second was a large herculese beetle with an armored body made of layered metal, clearly for defense. The third, and final puppet was in the form of a mosquito, and this puppet shared some attributes of both. It would make the most sense to describe this puppet as a supportive type. The three puppets began to fly and a slow jog speed through the air within the room, seemingly making random turns. "The Non-Elemental Chakra can be considered homework. For now I want you to try and knock all three of these bad boys down with your Water Gun jutsu."<i></i> Kumomi would readjust herself on the desk to watch and see what her student had instore.

It was finally happening. For real this time, not just in a dream or in a book. Ken was actually at the academy! His eyes ran hungrily over his surroundings, he wanted to take it all in at once but it was just too much. He was finally going to learn how to be a ninja, like his awesome dad! First things first, though, he had to get to his class. As tall and frankly uninviting as the academy building was, it actually wasn't too difficult to find the correct room. Grinning ear to ear, he entered the room he had been assigned.

Ken could see the teacher was already working with another student. The teacher was all wrapped up in a cloak or something, which was weird because it wasn't that cold. The other student was a girl he recognized. Amy-something. He didn't really know her that well, but she liked to read, like him, so Ken deemed her cool enough for now. Attention shifting away from the other people in the room, Ken inspected the rest of the classroom. The desks that weren't knocked about had scrolls laying atop them. According the chalkboard in the front of the class, the scrolls were not to be disturbed, Ken guessed this was until the teacher explained their proper use. The chalkboard also introduced the teacher as "Kugutsu Kumomi," so Ken did his best to commit that name to memory. Everything else on the chalkboard was filler, and basically amounted to explaining what kind of teacher Kumomi was. Namely, she was sweet and helpful, but probably didn't have a lot of patience for rudeness or bullying.

From the looks of things he caught Kumomi and the girl at the end of an intense water balloon fight. Desks were strewn about and puddles of liquid decorated the floor. "Sick!" Ken exclaimed, excitedly hailing the attention of his teacher, "I didn't know we could have water fights in class! I'll bring my water gun next time." Following a momentary pause, Ken realized he should probably introduce himself, so he hastily added: "Oh, and I'm Ken by the way."

The sensei's compliment really hit home for Ayame. She was never called talented at home because she was in her brother's shadow constantly. A sense of pride welded up inside her and the sensation was new to her. Watching as the teacher called a Grey Scroll forward with her chakra, Ayame made a mental note that she could build her chakra up to do the same. When the scroll was within grasp, Miss Kugutsu handed it to Ayame, explaining that it could be used for Mednin and Anbu jutsus and she was relieved that she was able to take it home with her.

The older kunoichi made her way over to the desk at the head of the room after she set the disaster of a room back into place. She called forth three bug puppets of monstrous size, well, monstrous for bugs anyway. Ayame was sure that her face distorted into a look of disgust at the sight. Ayame got worried that Miss Kugutsu would be offended by her action. "Oh, sorry. It's not that they scare me. It's just that they're bugs... and they're huge." The puppets began to speed across the room and the teacher expected her to hit them with her jutsu that she just learned. How?

Before she even began she heard someone exclaim loudly at the door. Turning around, she saw a young boy standing in the doorway looking at the mess of puddles at the ground. She remembered that this boy just joined the academy. He introduced himself as Ken. "Uh, hello," Ayame said somewhat sheepishly, like she just got caught doing something she wasn't supposed to do. To make things even more awkward, she made a small wave towards Ken. Unsure whether to continue, she looked at her sensei.

((OoC Note: Ayame, If you complete your section of the class it is up to you to stay with Ken or you are allowed to head out of here. 100% up to you.))

Kumomi would laugh at the reaction of her young student. It wasn't uncommon for people to respond to her puppets in such a way. She would admit that it was rather unorthodox to have insectoids as marionettes. It never phased her though. The Puppets would slow down as Ayame would speak to Kumomi. "Yeah, normally I use thousands of coin sized puppets but I figured that you would probably do better with the larger ones."<i></i> As she spoke something unexpected happen.

Shifting her body to face the newcomer Kumomi would smile and wave. "Why hello there Ken, I am Miss Kugutsu. Make your way in please."<i></i> As she spoke the three puppets stopped flying over the newly rearranged room and landed on the front desk behind Kumomi. She turned towards Ayame and smiled. "Ayame, change of plans."<i></i> Kumomi hopped off of the desk and made her attention towards the newcomer. "Ayame is going to help you with what we are learning today. First I need you to choose a scroll. Ayame will be able to help you with the first step."<i></i>

The desks were rearranged back into their original position and the multicolored scrolls were also replaced on top of them. This would help prove whether or not Ayame had a true understanding of this matter. They say those who can, teach, and those who can't, make rules about teaching. This test would also help Kumomi realize what sort of element this Ken kid had inside of himself. She would smile and watch how the students would react.

The instructor and the girl (apparently named "Ayame") both greeted Ken warmly. Ayame seemed a bit skittish, it was possible she wasn't accustomed to meeting new people. Miss Kugutsu seemed to be using chakra-controlled puppets to to reorient the room as an opportunity for intruction and easier work. Very efficient. The little bug-like simulacra were cute to be sure, but with their small stature Ken had doubts about their combat effectiveness. The question would have to wait, however, because it seemed Miss Kugutsu had plans for the lesson. The instructor directed Ayame to walk Ken through the day's lesson. This teacher sure seemed fond of killing two birds with one stone. This time she was giving Ken instruction and testing Ayame's knowledge retention and leadership skills at the same time. Ken could certainly respect the concept of doing things smarter, not harder, so long as Miss Kugutsu was keeping an eye on things to make sure he was getting all the information.

Ken eyed the scrolls on the desks before him. He counted 6 scrolls, each with a different color. Blue, red, green, white, brown, and grey. While most of Ken's reading was done on fiction or ancient history, his family made sure he was at least familiar with the concepts of chakra. This exercise, if he were to hazard a guess, seemed indicative of chakra affinity. A confident grin moving over his face, Ken immediately picked up the green scroll. His dad had a wind affinity, so it was only natural that he too would share the same trait. "Let's try this one on for size!" the young boy quipped as took the roll of paper into his possession. Tossing the scroll playfully from hand to hand, Ken looked back up to his instructor and fellow student, awaiting further guidance. He was interested to actually see his own chakra affinity in action, this was the kind of thing he imagined when he was waiting to join the academy. "So what's the plan, boss?" He asked, directing his question at his fellow student-turned-tutor.

Ayame become anxious when Miss Kugutsu said that she would teach Ken how to use his chakra. She had only just learned the technique twenty minutes ago. The boy, however, looked unfazed. He eyed the scrolls around the room and chose the nearest green scroll. If she remembered correctly, green meant it was a seal for the wind affinity. Tossing the scroll in his grasp, he turned to Ayame expectantly.

"Ok so what you want to do is put your hands together, palm to palm, and imagine your chakra running through them to create an unbroken stream in your chakra system." Unsure if she explained correctly, she put her palms together and reenacted her actions from earlier. "What I did was I imagined my chakra system running through my body and I concentrated on the feeling. When I felt the chakra coursing through those channels, I then imagined that the chakra was running between my palms to create a path." After a minute or two, she was able to feel the chakra between her hands and she pulled them apart to show Ken as an example. Surprisingly, she felt more confident as she began to speak. Knowledge really did become power for her. "After you get to this point, you want to touch the chakra in your hands to your scroll and then we will see if your chakra reacts to the seal." Finished with her explanation, she hoped it was sufficient enough that Ken was able to follow along and she hoped it reached the sensei's expectations of her.

Kumomi would listen to her student as she would explain the chakra system and to see if this was in fact his elemental affinity. This instruction was rather spot on and Ayame was demonstrating her knowledge of this manner spot on. The teacher was rather impressed. She readjusted herself in the room and allowed the students to do their thing. She remembered her days at the academy and how she loved to do exactly what young Ayame was doing. For individual with high levels intelligence the ability to use their information in class can create a stronger sense of understanding in the applicable skills.

Kumomi would continue to sit back and watch until she felt the need to either intervene or correct any information. Until then, she would watch...

The young girl carefully explained how the exercise worked, even going so far as to demonstrate for him. Her instructions were clear and her demonstrations helpful, it seemed she had a knack for teaching. As she went through each step, Ken followed along, mimicking her actions to the best of his ability. At first, he didn't feel anything when placing his palms together, so he tried to recall whatever he could about the chakra pathway system from his readings, and used that mental image to picture the chakra flowing through his body. This didn't really help either, so he tried another tactic. Instead of thinking of the chakra in a spiritual way, he tried to imagine it more physically. He thought of the blood rushing through his veins, the muscles tying together his bones, the nerves and synapses all working together to keep his body running, and he tried to use that as as a guide. Soon enough he could feel the tingling sensation of life energy running through his palms.

"I... I think I did it..." Ken murmured, his brow furrowed with concentration, a tight smile playing across his lips. There was only one way to find out for sure. Carefully, he pulled his hands apart, exhaling slowly as he did so. Sitting there in between his palms was the warm glow of chakra. It was certainly a sensation he had never experienced before, yet somehow it felt vaguely familiar, as if it were an old friend he was seeing again after a long absence. "I did it! I did it!" He exclaimed, boundlessly excited to see his first successful manipulation of chakra. The ember of light between his palms pulsed with energy, syncing up with the excited and nervous pounding of Ken's heart. Ken swallowed and then continued. "Ok, so now... the seal?" he asked, directing his little chakra friend toward the wind scroll. As he touched the gathered energy against the seal, he braced himself for an onslought of wind, and...

...

...Nothing. The chakra dispersed into the scroll without so much as a whisper. Ken's smile dropped, and his eyebrows scrunched in confusion. "But I did everything right... Didn't I?" The boy asked himself in disbelief. "Why didn't it work?" He tried his best to come up with a solution, although in his heart he knew what it was. He must not have a wind affinity after all. The disappointment weighed heavily on Ken, but he shook his head and forced himself to smile. "Heh, I guess that wasn't my type, huh?" He replaced the wind scroll onto the desk, picking up the earth one instead. Earth was his grandfather's element of choice, the affinity must have skipped a generation. "Should I try again?" he asked his tutor, preparing his body for another molding of chakra.

Sora looked at the paper once more.. He had passed the hallway.. and then again past the classroom. 'dammit' For sora getting used to this thing with houses, and finding around in those illogical hallways, with random numbers for navigation. Sora missed the desert, altho the gigantic sandstorm last few years had made it more than hard to find your bearings. but he would much rather find his way there than here. this was just annoying. finally he found the right classroom. 2 younger students were already paying around inside. by the looks of it, the subject was chakra manipulation, well not Sora's strongest suit, but he definitely did know how to mold his chakra, he was born with an innate talent for the earth element, but in his training he had learned much much more.
from the angle where he stood, and this architectural design not leaving room for people of his size, he could not see the teacher from where he stood. he lowered his knees and head to be able to enter the doorway, as he grabbed for the handle, the little matchstick handle of course broke in his hand, it was not bigger than 3 fingers, and apparently made of paper. 'once again dammit, the first door I actually touch i end up breaking' he shuffled inside as he best could, closed the door, and turned around to apologize to the teacher for the broken door. his words did not immediately exit from his brain to his mouth, the teacher was none other that Kumomi, the girl that he had been sparring with not too long ago.. one who actually managed to get his blood pumping. she was around Sora's age and she was actually teaching.. just wonderfull.. Sora was so lacking behind..

"Sorry 'bout the door" he finally said with a nod towards Kumomi and a voice not quite in its place but tending toward the deep rumbling of rocks grinding in the deep, and mainly for the benefit of the two other students he introduced himself
"The name is Yamaryuu Sora here to learn" he then placed the disfigured door handle on the teacher's desk with an apologetic pull of his shoulders

Ayame watched as Ken struggled to get his chakra to manifest in his hands. After a few tries, she noticed the warm glow began to show through his palms. Ken noticed as well and was absolutely ecstatic. He reached towards his scroll with his chakra and everyone in the room held their breath. Nothing. There was no gust of wind, no bright light; nothing. She saw disappointment in the boy's eyes. She wasn't sure if she should console him or even if she could. She was able to get her affinity on the first try. Maybe it was just luck in her case. After several moments, Ken discarded the wind scroll and picked up a nearby earth scroll, ready to try again. Ayame was truly impressed. "Yes, please try again. You can try again as much as you want. If you need help with your chakra, I'll try to help to the best of my ability." She hoped that her actions weren't appearing to the sensei as taking over the class but Miss Kugutsu had found herself a place to watch quietly and out of sight.

A commotion at the door grabbed Ayame's attention. Turning, she saw a huge brute of a man hunched over in the room holding the door handle in his hand. He shuffled over to the teacher and placed the handle on her desk, introducing himself as Sora. Taken back by the sheer size of him, Ayame finally found her voice. "H-Hello. M-My name is Yamamoto Ayame." Unsure if the teacher meant for her to continue teaching everyone, she waited for further instruction.
