Megu had always been prone to little accidents, but it was these little accidents that finally revealed his bloodline. Not only did it make his bones harder than usual, but he also found that it made his injuries heal that little bit quicker. Every little scratch he had was almot gone by morning, and sometimes if he held really still he swore he could see his skin knitting together. He couldn't of course, none of this was really true. The fact was he was in his springtime of youth and healed as such. But to him he had magical healing powers like some kinda of super healing nin, which came in handy with how clumbsy he could be sometimes. He first noticed this when he grazed his knee. His brother had told him that if he ran as fast as he could down the hill he'd unlock his full running potential and his speed would increase almost twice as much. This wasn't true either. At first he'd felt like he was flying as his gravity assisted spring took him way over the speed he'dmanaged before, but then he found his legs couldn't keep up and he'd landed knee first onto the hill. He couldn't decide what hurt most, the friction burn from the grass or his brothers laugh as he realised that once again he'd fallen for his tricks. The next morning his knee had improved significantly, and within two the graze was almost gone.

One odd thing that Megu had noticed about working in a restaurant was that after years of chopping vegetables and meat, his knife skills were incredible. Whilst he'd always been the first to finish chopping and peeling it wasn't until he picked up an actual blade did he realise how transitional this skill really was. It wasn't just that he was really great at not chopping his fingers off, and he did still have ten so he was clearly great at, but it was his speed and precision that really set him apart.
When he was younger he used to hate chopping, so much so he'd create a little game for himself. He'd get a pile of vegetables and put his knife on the side, with a little cooking clock to keep count, and see how many he could chop in a minute. After that he'd set it again and try and beat the high score.
Within time his dexterity had improved to the point where the knife almost appeared in his hand the second he pressed the timer, a skill that he'd now adapted to draw his weapon in the blink of an eye.

Some say that Megu had been playing ninja from before he was even born, the way he was kicking when his mother had been preggers with him. Truth be told though his fascination had started at a much older age when like most young boys he'd been fascinated by his fathers weapons that he'd used when he was a mercenary. He remembered finding his father's sword hidden in the back of a cupboard, and how he'd nearly chopped his brothers ear off with it when they'd been sparring. His own ear was the one that got bruised by his father after that little debacle.
His fascination with weapons had continued as he grew. On joining the Academy one of the first things he'd done was to head to the armory to try and find a sword of his own. He'd tried out many different types, to the point that it became second nature for him to wield different types of weapon with ease and soon forgot he was even holding a sword his combos flowed so smoothly.

When Megu was younger his brother had liked to play this game called dodgeball, apart from they could really afford a ball so they used rocks. And it wasn't really so much about his brother meaning Megu to dodge them at all. Infact when Megu had thought about this game laer in life he realised his brother actually just threw rocks at him. What his brother didn't realise though was his efforts were making Megu's reactions that much better with every stone. Before long stones that once would have left a nasty bruise on his arm merely glanced off of him now and did less damage, and ones that at one point would have glances off of him would now miss completely. The thought of the game made him laugh, but worried him about the resentment his brother had shown towards him. Luckily for him the resentment his brother had shown when Megu was first accepted to the academy abated over time, and even luckier still so had the game.

Description:
After becoming fed up with swapping swords every session Megu worked overtime at Suo's every weekend for a month to save up for one of his very own. The handle was plain with an off white cloth covering the hard handle underneath. Every time he looked at it he tried to figure out if it was meant to be off white or had just been discoloured from years of use. Either way he was in no rush to find out just in case it was the latter. He'd tried a number of swords at the shop, but with his small stature a regular sword was more like a great sword, a greatsword might as well have been a building for all he could do with it. He'd settled on a shorter blade giving him extra speed instead as well as ensuring it was something he'd be able to still swing one handed. The blade was a highly polished silver and held a jagged, serrated edge on one side. He wasn't exactly sure why it was serrated until the owner of the shop had showed him the cuts it left on the opponent. The thought of all that blood made him shudder a little, but he thought if he didn't like it for battle he could always just use it to chop oversized veg.
