Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A series of logs inputted by Higa/Shinrya Kahako during her tenure in the Sentou Henkan Division. This is only a few missions out of hundreds that Kahako went on during this time.

Mission 1

My first mission out was simple enough. It was a general routine guard duty 10 clicks outside the gates. There have been a sudden influx of refugees recently with the downfall of both Mist and Leaf. The reports are... less than hopeful. No one knows if the countries will ever be inhabitable again.

About halfway through our routine, Inago, his ANBU alias, had the unfortunate luck of stepping into a wire trap. It wasn’t too terrible, a laceration to his right shoulder, nothing a few stitches couldn’t fix. Unfortunately, one doesn’t have time to stitch someone up when the wire trap is immediately followed by the ambush that set it. Slapping medical chakra wasn’t that simple of a fix either. It requires intense amounts of concentration to knit muscles back together. This requires time and precision I didn’t have, as the fight was currently 3v2, and our attackers were clearly jounin level.

Thank Raiden for the fact that ANBU tend to take the best Chunin in the village, or else the situation would have gone downhill fast. While Kurage and Chitaa fended off the bandits, I set to decreasing the amount of blood leaving Inago’s body. Once he was properly padded, I set to seal the wound just enough that he wouldn’t bleed to death while I assisted in keeping his teammates alive for the rest of the battle.

As I said before, Medical Jutsu takes too much time and concentration for my preference. Additionally, it takes too much chakra. What makes it worse is that you tire the muscle cells when you heal someone repeatedly with medical chakra. I try to avoid it unless it is absolutely necessary. But there is one type of jutsu that doesn’t cost nearly as much of my stamina. At least, one base set of jutsu: Water.

Doctors call me an Adept. Any water-based jutsu not only punches harder when I cast it, but it also heals if I want it to. No one entirely knows why a water adept is capable of healing, just that they are. I conjure it has something to do with the fact that humans are more than 60 percent water, as it is the only logical conclusion I can come to without dissecting myself.

I quickly conjure a weak mist that sets around the wound. It takes a matter of seconds for the outer layer of flesh to seal itself. Between that and the makeshift bandage, he will be good until I can get to him again. I just gave myself ten minutes to fight before I have to get back to him. Added with a little ‘Kitsune Special’ (A blood pill that I have been taking to revitalize myself), he is back on his feet and able to, at the very least, defend himself.

Once back in the battle, the three of us are no match for the bandits. They may have been Jounin rank in fighting skill, but it seems they were weak when it came to their knowledge of jutsu. Once over, I urge the mist to set about healing Inago fully. No need to use stitches when I’ve healed the outside. There’s a huge bruise there now from where the blood had nowhere to go but under the skin. I’m going to have to research if something like that is bad or not. For now, we’re going to finish our patrols and head back to the village. From there, I will able to ensure the brusing will go away and not bother him further.

… The more I think about it, the more I worry his cut will need to be reopened and properly sewn shut with stitches.

Mission 26

You know what I hate more than impromptu lacerations in the middle of battle? Poison in the middle of battle. Mostly because AiT don’t realize that poison can KILL if it isn’t treated immediately. Even more so if they continue to fight while poisoned. Idiotic little shits.

What makes it even better is that those who are new to ANBU don’t really understand the ability of the Sentou. We’re not magical body readers. We can’t tell if a small kunai that nicked your arm was laced with a paralysis. At least, not until two hours after the battle, and you suddenly tell me you can’t feel your arm. Nor bend your fingers anymore. And you want to complain as to why I didn’t notice anything sooner? Stupid little shit.

Thank Raiden I just recently mastered my ability with System Restoration. This coupled with my training with Kitsune-sensei, I am able to quickly recognize what this poison might be and get to work. Tying a band around his arm to slow the effect of the poison, I get to work forcing water through his pores and out his cut. (Water Adept, remember?) For good measure I provide him a kitsune special. Coupled with System Restoration, he is able to feel his arm after about an hour of this ‘draining’ process. Of course, guess who gets blamed for giving our target an hour lead time. Stupid little shits. I could have fixed it in three seconds if he hadn’t told me he was uninjured after the mercenary skirmish. Lesson to teach to ANBU members: Report even the tiniest of scratches to their Sentou escorts. If could save their arm.

I’m reporting him to Kogami-san. I’ll wait until after the mission to let it be known that the AiT might lose a little control in his arm due to his big honcho behavior. Until then, I'll have to keep a special eye on him.

NEVER TELL YOUR SENTOU ESCORT YOU ARE OKAY EVEN FOR THE TINIEST OF CUTS!

Stupid little shits.

Mission 144

I am in very much deep trouble right now. Well, Chitaa is, I’m currently pretending to be a giant puddle of water. She’s currently bleeding out on the floor while her torturer is cleaning his tools. Inago and Kurage were able to create a distraction long enough for me to get into the interrogation room, but not long enough to quietly pick her lock and get her stable enough to drag her back out.

But I have to come up with something. I can maintain this form for about two minutes before I’m suddenly flesh again. In those two minutes, my biggest worries are Chitaa passing out from bloodloss and being stepped on. When I’m flesh again, Inago and Kurage will be in deep deep trouble.

Silently, I reformed into a humanoid form or water. Unfortunately, he noticed me when I entered the room. I realized too late that he was a Hyuuga. He must have picked up my chakra signal a mile away and waited for me to make my move. Now I am in deep trouble. I was able to dispatch the interrogator, but not before he called for help and tore me a new one. Summoning a medical clone to unlock Chitaa’s chains and get her concious, I have to perform medical jutsu on myself. The cut is too deep otherwise, and the enemy is coming.

Clone me curses while she sets to freeing Chitaa and proceeding with all the medical knowledge I can bestow on my clones. Mainly Mystic Hand and Coagulation to keep Chitaa's blood count high. I really need to work on refining my clone's personality, I honestly wouldn't say half the things she does. Using the little taijutsu I know (I really need to learn more), I remained mostly on the defensive while trying to cast small instances of Mystic Hand. I can’t maintain it and fight at the same time. A searing pain forces it way through my back. I’ve been stabbed by someone in stealth. I feel myself go down and my clone utters one last lengthy curse before popping out of existence. The enemy is going for Chitaa.

At least, that’s what they intended to do before I flooded the room with the water in the pipes. Chitaa’s now free body is caught in the torrent of my tidal wave, and the current isn’t kind to her. She was conscious long enough to feel her body slam against a wall with the other mercenaries. But she’ll be okay. Before each mission, I inscribe one medical ward on the ANBU I’m accompanying and myself before we leave the gates. It activates when the person falls unconscious from serious injuries, which is why I had to keep Chitaa awake. The enemy gave me the advantage when they thought they took me down. In reality, they just sealed their fates.

But I’m still bleeding, and Chitaa is still unconscious. I’ve already been radioed by Inago and Kurage that they’ve taken out the target, and are on the way to us. She will live. With the knowledge that backup is coming, I have enough chakra in my reservoir to apply healing water techniques.
