Mifune doesn't believe in limits, in his eyes' a person can only GROW! His motto is that if you can imagine it, it CAN be done.. This often enough can fill those around him with confidence or nervousness. Nobody likes coming in last, but with Mifune there is no such thing as last. He denies failure as an option and pushes himself to accomplish any task. His mind doesn't work like a geniuses, infact he isn't as smart as he lets on. However, Mifune believes that a person can rise to any occasion and he sticks by this belief with pride. His core desire is to do things of enduring value and be remembered a legend. In that line of view, he is ignorant to the fact that rules exist. If he's too become a legend than he'll break rules if they need to be broken, in his opinion. "Rules are meant to be broken." Mifune isn't good or evil, respectively he just wants to be the best. If Mifune Ryujin, finds no importance in doing right then he may gladly break rules in order to accomplish a much greater task. Though naturally good-hearted, even at the young age of thirteen, the young shinobi does understand that sacrifices will be made and people will die. He longs to become a great legend, whether he becomes a shinobi or not. No... he wants to exceed what people call possible and create something that no one has ever seen. He wants to become the greatest living being to walk upon the world. Mifune often finds himself seeking to realize a more prominent vision of himself, though his future is clouded at every turn, and it disappoints him. The young ninja wishes he could see into the future and realize his meaning in this world. However that he wants to be great. He knows he's here for another reason, but just can't figure out what that is yet.
History:
Ryujin Mifune was never the kind of person to stress over things. If he thought he could do something he did it, if he didn't then he tried, and if he couldn't he kept trying. It was as simple as counting; determination was second nature to him all of his life. Mifune never had a powerful clan or family decent, he lived on a farm and lived with his grandfather. Long ago a powerful shinobi came from his family and that was the first of the Mifunes' and the founder of his bloodline. His entire clan knew the name and after he died, the name was retired, until eventually it was passed down to the current holder and the focus of this story. Though Mifune knew/heard this story from his grandfather a thousand times, it wasn't the reason he decided to become a ninja.
One day while carrying water from a nearby stream to feed the livestock, Mifune ran into three older kids. They were all much taller and stronger than him, but when they called and began teasing him he instinctively picked up a rock and charged. However these kids were all Acadamy students and had learned to channel chakra, easily outbesting him. Angry and filled with rage for the first time in his life he began training for all that he could muster. He would not be humilated like that again! After an entire year of excessive pain and training on his body he used all the allowance he could and bought a cheap sword. He then sought out his antagonists, challenging them this time with a glare that read death. The boys' had just became Genin and knew of the small child, who couldn't have been older than eight, would never defeat them without chakra. They defeated him this time, with a large amount of underestimation. Finally being defeated, he had gained much respect from his ex:bullies. They took him home and told him that he was wicked strong. Something about him was just different, they couldn't help but admit it. Finding a newfound confidence in himself he promised them that one day he would become the best ninja and it was all because of them!
Some years passed and Mifune kept to his statement, he trained everyday with his cheap sword. His entire body was fine-tuned with excessive amounts of hardworking. At this point Mifune thought nothing could stop him from becoming the greatest ninja to ever live now! The boy was ready for the Acadamy, he ran home to tell his grandfather who had supported his dreams since day one. Walking in he found his grandfather lying on the floor, a heart attack had taken him from this world. It wasn't a surprise, working on farms often made people extra liable for such occurances. Still it hurt the young child, he grieved for days, but like a phoenix from the ashes he made an oath that he would never forget his dream and how his grandfather had supported it. He began wearing a sedge hat in remembrance of the old-man who had meant so much to him. Now he attends the Acadamy, attempting to use his shinobi knowledge as a front to become the best fighter the world had ever seen.
