Character's Physical Description: Clad in the standard Myakashi armour, there is little to see about Okuni figure that would suggest her gender. Piercing blue eyes are the only part of her visible whilst in this form.
Otherwise, if unarmoured she resembles an attractive woman in her early 20s, lithe and cat-like in her movements. Long black hair glistens in the sun, and her palid face looks cruel and harsh.
Character's Mental Description: Okuni has been through it all and survived. There is little warmth or affection from her towards even those close to her. Every interaction is a battle, be it of words or blades, and either way such battles are usually silent. A barely held sense of rage is felt by anyone around her.
Character History: It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child, but in this sense the child did not need a village - it only needed a family. Born five years before the great samurai war that saw her parents killed, Okuni was born into the Myakashi clan and trained in their secret ways from the moment she could carry a blade. Tested both physically and mentally, Okuni is, like her siblings, a weapon.
Raised in secret in one of the many Myakashi strongholds ‘off the map’, there are no records of her, or her abilities - just like the Myakashi have planned it to be. Forgoing the traditional teachings of the Academy, she has learnt at the feet of master med-nin and ANBU, learning their particular methods as well as that of the main branch without the pathetic restrictions imposed upon those in the hidden villages. The training regimen of the Mayakshi however are harsh, forcing their young to train to exhaustion, and for their minds to be plundered and moulded for the tasks they were going to be given were far more dangerous than any ‘village’. Okuni’s early life was no different, and her natural talents for Genjutsu were further developed by being constantly placed under the most powerful techniques, for understanding how they worked was fundamental in using them against others.
As a result, Okuni has learned complete emotional control, though at unguarded moments - few as they are - there is an unbridled hatred, though who that is focused towards is anyone's guess but her own.
With the ousting of the majority of the Myakashi from Konoha and the establishment of Yamigakure, she was summoned by ‘Grandfather’ Migoya for a mission of great importance. Whilst most would be nervous, that term is not in her vocabulary.
Though the title Grandfather and Grandmother are ceremonial amongst the Myakashi, the woman known as ‘Grandmother Myakashi’, is in fact the mother of her father, Hoshiku. Whilst not being particularly gifted with her Yamanaka heritage, Okuni showed a small talent for Genjutsu and her grandmother took it upon herself to train her further in the art form. She is quite skilled at intruding into peoples minds, and even more adept at instilling in them great fear and pain - she is her grandmother’s grandchild after all.
Her already formidable abilities have been somewhat… altered by the dark methods of Migoya. She now relishes in the increased powers her manipulated form has taken, and now is ready to undertake the will of the Myakashi with the fervor of a zealot.
