Name: Minami Rikuto
Age: 8
Physical Description: Petite for his age, Rikuto would make a more convincing six year old than the eight year old he really is, standing at 3’8”. He’s a healthy weight for his size, at 45 lbs, but that never stopped his parents from worrying. His light sandy blond hair is wavy, and goes past his shoulders. His eyes are a grayish blue. Despite frequent exposure to the sun, he doesn’t seem to tan, remaining pale. He physically resembles his father far more than his Inuzaka mother, but he still has the trademark fangs of an Inuzaka. He seems fond of white cloaks.
Isamu is only a small pale fuzzy puppy at the moment, with pointy ears, a fluffy tail, and a wet black nose.
Mental Description: His parents would have likely worried a great deal more about his petite size if it weren’t for how active he always has been. If there were any doubts about his Inuzaka heritage, those would be instantly dispelled just by watching him, since Rikuto is a perfect example of a classic wild child type behavior that Inuzakas are known for. Now that he is an active Fang Mark, he is actually quieter, though part of that might be due to his parents’ fighting. There is additionally an edge of feralness to his behavior that was not present before, and his actions are now calculated with predatory precision around other people. Around Isamu, his canine companion, his behavior is the same as ever, playful and wild.
Isamu is only a puppy, so his personality isn’t much developed yet. He’s a very loyal pup for sure, and he is incredibly playful. He’s very good at sensing his partner’s emotions, and oftentimes reacts to what Rikuto feels.
History:
His father was a merchant of Wind Country whose family had been in Wind Country for countless generations. On his travels, he met Rikuto’s mother, a lone Inuzaka. They ended up married, travelling together for a time, until Rikuto’s mother became pregnant. After Rikuto was born, they settled down. They loved their son, and he had a happy childhood. When he turned eight, his mother thought it only right to get him a puppy. Rikuto named the puppy Isamu. His parents were even considering adding another child to their family. A few months after his birthday, something happened that broke the family. It started with a yelp, which his parents investigated, assuming it was Isamu. Instead of one puppy, they found two. Isamu, and a dune wolf pup. They were playing with a dead snake, though that was the last thing in his father’s mind, for he knew the dune wolf was their son, transformed. His father was not unaware of the heritage of the Fang Mark which ran through his line of the family, but it had been many generations since anyone of his line had activated the Fang Mark. He realized immediately what had occurred, and explained it to his concerned wife who was wondering where their son had disappeared to. She was furious that he had kept his heritage a secret from her, and that was when he retorted that since it had been dormant for generations, it was her Inuzaka blood that had activated it. This was the start of the fighting, but not the end of it. Rikuto when he transformed back had to deal with the guilt of his parents fighting due to him, and there was no one to assure him that it was not his fault. When his parents finally paid him mind again, it was his father attempting to convince him to attend the academy of Sunagakure. Rikuto agreed, not because of any reasons that his father gave him, but because he hoped it would stop the fighting.
Bloodline: Like his mother, Rikuto is an Inuzaka. He doesn’t physically look much his mother, what with his small body and pale features, but he has the trademark fangs that mark the canine-like bloodline. It is not unlikely that as he grows older his appearance will grow more feral, but for now he looks almost like a normal child until he opens his mouth. While he might lack the appearance of an Inuzaka, he is far from lacking the rambunctious personality they are known for. He is the classic example of a wild child, always active and running about. By his side is his loyal companion Isamu, only a fluffy puppy at the moment, but treasured nevertheless. One day he will be a fierce fighter, but for now he is simply a ‘fierce’ piece of fluff. If Rikuto was only an Inuzaka, like his parents originally thought, his life would have been far simpler. As it is, he has a tendency to turn into a fuzzy thing with fangs himself. He has the Fang Mark, the curse that transforms him from a human child into a dune wolf. His father may be shipping him off to the academy because of it, but he still has Isamu by his side.
