Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

  • > PHYSIQUE
        • Just like your archetypal Minamoto, Ue body’s structural integrity was made for the callous vigor’s of tangible battle. His musculature among his peers and elders is scrutinized as impressive even in terms for a combatant that primarily utilizes Taijutsu. It furthermore doesn’t hurt that Ue’s framework is naturally athletic with, wide shoulders and chest, and thick bones that provide him with an authentic melee advantage. Now the muscles that cling to his bones aren't wiry, but nor are they too bulky. Somehow the Nanjirou can be measured as somewhere in-between with a subtle muscle tone. Sitting at the apex of Ue’s head, is spiky black hair that naturally is more akin to the mane on a savage lion. It currently is approximately a tad beyond shoulder-length with bangs that hang at identical length, framing the sides of his with the exception of the hair that completely covers his right eye. According to the opposite sex Ue is striking, a good-looking male with strong admirable features that warrants, more times than not positive attention. His external shell is coarse to the touch, making his epidermis reminiscent of sand paper. This is due to the crude conditioning his skin had to weather from all those years of training. The way Ue is built is very befitting for the life and path he chooses to journey.

        • Ue attire is strictly kept traditional. You will never catch the Minamoto’s form occupying your more modern clothing such as a nice jacket, t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. It’s just not in his blood, but what you will see wrapped around his appearance are your customary kimono’s with split hakama trousers or kobakama (short trousers) amid Tabi socks or jika-tabi (tabi boots). Along with that he’ll usually adorn a nice sleeveless Haori with the Minamoto crest arrogantly emblazoned on the back located in the center, for all to see. His obi will be worn as a belt over his trousers wrapped thrice around his midsection, his wakizashi, or short sword is thrust sideways through the innermost and middle layers of the obi. The katana is thrust through the second and third layers of the obi near the left hip. As for footwear depending on the seasons or his mood, Ue will either wear geta, but most of the time his feet will be dressed in waraji, a woven sandal. Unlike most shinobi that carry swords freely like toys, Ue’s uncle is strict and as a results requires the young Nanjirou to keep his sword sealed with a string when in public. This is because his uncle believes if a swordsman draws there sword it is only in times of killing and defending, or missions. So until he feels Ue has properly grasped this concept he prohibits the youth from walking around with a unsealed katana.

        • <COLOR color="#B8860B">Ue is yet another Minamoto product of priceless tradition. A teen embedded with great honor, treasured family values, and a loyal son to both Kirigakure and its inhabitants. In particular Ue takes exalted pride in the crimson legacy that pumps and circulates throughout his very veins. For the Nanjirou he was taught being a Minamoto is an honored privilege and is the chief engine behind not only the love he has for his fellow family members, past or present. Additionally it is his principal mental analysis to why his life is secondary to the protection and life of the Minamoto name. He was further educated to respect the very founders of this village and that is why all the other great clans are heralded in high regard through his eyes.

          Now Ue does differ from most of his peers, why? Because he is not all ninja. Firstly if you are not Nanjirou then you can’t be devoted to Bushido. Why? Because bushido has nothing to do with being a swordsmen or how great you can follow some core virtues you attempt to live by. It is a commodity that is intangible, something that is ingrained and reaches far beyond than just the physical form, or the mind. This <B>’bushido’ or ’way of the warriors’ is not even at the forefront of a Nanjirou’s mind. It is an ideal that is as easy as humans breathing air. These nucleus of codes were a bond transferred from father to son, unrecorded. For many others it is a conscious effort or which we can define as a lifestyle. However for a Nanjirou it is an organic thought grown and cultivated from the many seeds of lessons life has to offer us as tribute to self-fulfilling enlightenment. So the ‘Seven Virtues’ that so many imitate and believe are laws, for Ue he witnessed it case by case and it means nothing more than an un-named code of conduct.

          Funny thing is, is that many look towards the mainstream definition of what it is to be a samurai and think that these codes cannot be broken. Depending on a situation Ue may act out the norm of his character just like any other rational being capable of human error. Intellectually, Ue is not a genius or some miracle prodigy, but he is a mortal that can be considered smarter than he looks as opposed to him being indicated as being smarter than you are. One of the prime reasons why Ue, is not your characteristic fleshbag, is his harsh training he has had to endure since the age of 5. From the unforgiving bruising of sumo training to standing naked waist high in snow, the extreme preparation has created a functioning steeled weapon that just so happens to be covered in flesh. Ue, can be thought-about as a very spiritual individual, a large part because of his teachings in the form of Shinto and Buddhism. He strongly believes in his ancestral connection to the many Minamoto predecessors before him and every couple weeks he pays his respects to them. He seriously sees his katana as a living extension of who he is, and for those who wielded his katana prior to his grasp, his belief is that their very essence lives within the cutting edge used to spill blood.

          Similar to majority of the shinobi community, the Nanjirou has a iron will and a high mental toughness, still his specified capacity is reserved for only the individuals whose perspective is that of an elitist. Trained to handle any ballgame, Ue is keenly attuned with his environments and views the multitude of situations a shinobi can be in. With the sense that every plight has its variables, and these variables can be manipulated to fit a algorithm which differs from equation to equation. Nonetheless in his mind there can be a solution if an individual correctly uses the fluctuating inconstant's and exploits one's situational awareness properly.

          Socially, Minamoto Ue can be described as an interesting being and can’t be characterized as some rigid awkwardly unsociable stiff, seeing that he is still just a teen and is obliviously curious about life and understanding it all. Although what many fail to comprehend is that underneath the hard stoned combatant, is a fun loving individual who can let loose once in awhile and is only at the tip of his potential not only as shinobi, but as a personality as well.
