Personality: Shira's mind is host to a demonic entity that has the ability to speak with her, but ultimately can do nothing more. The demon however has become dormant since Shira's coma and amnesia has set in. After recovering from a huge shock to her system, Shira was unable to recall many of her own memories or who she used to be. Shira had also seemed to have developed a sort of 'flat effect' where some emotions are harder to access than others, which even after her memories have returned has stuck. Shira remains to be sarcastic and witty, but also highly uncaring. She's a bit of a loner considering she hates people. Most would agree she is far better than when she was just a child, but she will just have to find out who she is as a person, now that the voice is gone for the time being. She finds it very difficult to control herself in the presence of blood though.

Shira was the first female child born into the Minohodo family line. This would have been a great day of celebration had the family not been extremely distraught over the child’s birth due to an ancient curse placed upon them from ages past. Long ago, the founder of the Minohodo bloodline made a pact with a demonic presence, uncaring of what the results would be. His wife was pregnant with their first child when she fell victim to an unknown illness. The illness caused her severe pain and each day she grew worse and worse. Eventually, the man grew fearful for both his wife and unborn child. He sought the highest of medical attention from anyone in the profession, but none could diagnose what ailed his precious wife. Then, as a last resort, he went on a journey to seek help from elsewhere. On his journey, he discovered an ancient tome that radiated a demonic aura and an unknown dark voice spoke from it. The book would give the holder his heart’s desire, though a grave price would be asked for in return. Desperate, the man accepted this fate. The book opened to a page that listed ingredients for a draught that would heal his wife and cause no harm to the child. The book went on to explain that in exchange for the potion that would save a life, another life would suffer. The first female born into the Minohodo line would be plagued with a curse. When Shira was 9 and her mind had grown a bit more stable, her mother believed this was a result of the doll being a venting source, she was introduced to a boy, Reito Ko, her mother had brought back from another one of her short trips. Shira ignored the boy, explaining to the doll how weird he was and never saying much else. Finally, at the age of 12, Shira was starting to feel more of a strange dark source feeding her thoughts, like it was trying to have a conversation with her. The thoughts caused something like a small numbing in her mind that drowned out all other thoughts and clear thought and she found it hard to push them way. It was becoming harder to ignore the voices, since she believed them to belong to the doll, though in truth they belonged to the demon that placed the curse simply changing it's voice to sound like others talking. Finally, during her Genin Exam, after she had successfully passed, Shira looked to find her doll only to find that it had been smashed to pieces. Shira's mind went into shock as she saw her only friend broken on the ground. She then felt a sudden overwhelming feeling within her head that felt like it was about to split open. Shira was rushed to get medical attention by her mother. Once she had partially stabalized enough, she was told the story of the demon and her family's history. She was told how the doll was just that, a doll, unable to speak or to move on it's own. The doll was only able to move by Shira's subconscious ability to use chakra strings on the puppet. The speaking was the demon using Shira as a sort of puppet of it's own. With all of this information being thrown at her at one time, especially after seeing her best friend, whom she just learned wasn't even real or her friend, get smashed to bit, the girl started to have a panic attack. Her body has taken too much shock to the system and her head was absolutely killing her with all the information and the demon yelling in her head.

She was almost unaware of the fact that she was wielding her blood as a weapon, attacking the doctors that tried to make a grab at her with it. She even managed to bite one of them, her fangs sinking in and his blood appealing to her. Her mother was the one that knew she had finally been able to access her Chigokai abilities. She had feared the day that happened. Akira had always hoped that Shira's inability to have her mind to herself would prevent her from learning of their family's bloodline and the abilities that came with it. Her mother knew she had to stop Shira or she could kill someone. Her mother grabbed her and held her. Still, her body was not ready to stop fighting. Shira's body went into a defensive mode and completely shut down not long after her mother had taken hold of her; she went into a coma not long after that. Shira had been in a coma for 4 years. Her memories were locked away from her repression, and she suffered with amnesia for months, and still partially does. Shira also had to relearn how to walk again.

The 'collar' works in special ways. It represses the demon, but Shira can never take it off by herself, regardless of the means. Also, every time Ko utters the word 'Nodearu', Shira is sent flying towards the ground. Ko may know more of what the seal does, but that is all Shira really knows.
