Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Koa had returned from her voyage across the sea, the meeting with numerous shinobi of whom did not have a home to call their own. She had met so many people that were above her, in every way a persona can be above another; they were superior and out-shined the dim little coroner that hid herself away in the cold, metallic coffin of the hospital's basement. The night was humid, for a change, it called for those who dared to stay out past midnight on a Tuesday night to dress as if it was summer. A little breeze came often enough for the village to feel not too stuffy, those wrapped up in blankets preparing for the new day would be able to sleep with relative comfort and maybe only one leg protruding from the sheets. Koa, following the trend, dressed herself in what she thought would be the final piece of fashionable garment for she may trade her white summer dress, with sandals, for an orange jumpsuit.

Koa stood on a rooftop just below the orbiting shrine, which overlooked the village like an attentive mother. She would raise one hand and concentrate her chakra, forming and moulding it into ice. The crystals and flakes of sub-zero standard danced around her finger tips, gentle pressing their frigidly cold bodies against Koa's flesh. After a few moments the ice would soar into the sky leaving but a trail of crystals behind - reaching astronomical heights - before combustion in a wonderful display of cold, that would then disperse into a cold mist. This mist would surely alert any on duty Anbu...

It would surely attract them to the creator; Koa.

Strictly business, that was Snow's priority and this investigation any disruptions within his perimeter, which in this case was the sudden expulsion of a jutsu upon the Shrine's roof. Always equipped with his full anbu gear, his body would suddenly blur from the spot in which it formerly rested before appearing in a crouching position a few yards in front of Koa. Fully bringing his body to a stand, his height and stature, which could be noticed even through his Anbu cloak and gear, were factors that kept his gauging his age relatively impossible. There was no lack of noticing fine detail from his perspective and as he took time to observe the intruder his voice accompanied by his visible breath spoke towards the woman.

"Unauthorized personal state your name and business", his voice was a deep bass and was something he inherited from his father. The cloak alone that he wore was enough to disguise his appearance but even so beneath that he had on anbu combat gear with fully body bandages up to his neckline. Snow's mask kept his facial features hidden and with the addition of the cloak's hood not a strand of his white hair could be presently seen. The only thing Koa was able to discern about him was that he easily topped over 6'0'' and his eyes were an icy blue. Within his mind however his chakra had already manipulated his brains memory processing and had turned a natural function of storing memories into something far more complex.

Koa wasn't surprised by the sudden appearance of an Anbu member, after all it's what she wanted. "Oh hey there." She would say quite plainly with a smile on her face as a sharp dust of wind brushed in-between the two parties. It whooshed past their ears, filling the silence that felt almost deafening - eh, did that make sense? "I think you should really take me out for a drink before you ask me for my name, porcelain." Koa referred to the stranger's mask, whom sounded to be like a man. "I'm Hakuryoku Koa, a former Iwagakure shinobi looking to return home..." She would nod her head before offering the man a smile.

Well, this was awkward... Koa was a missing-nin now and this man, by law, was to arrest her and detain her and while that sentiment guided the Anbu, it wouldn't be happening today. The former chief was here to decide, for herself, whether she should turn herself in or just not do it. Either way, information would be leaked on this day and it was the specifics that the village needed. "I'm here of my own free will, I want you to note that... I just want to know whether or not you Anbu are going to do your job and protect this village."

"You wanna hear me out?"

"Thats. . . none. . . of my business. . ."

Sipping tea staying away from the public eye until he would have the chance to move forward. He'd given the time and such as he managed to see things in a new light. There was alot of energies that was beginning to come across as anew. New spiritual energies that. . . seemed to be ushered into the new realm. This was the morning of the day he'd be headed to the Spire. Though any extra information would help right? ". . .Hm?", he'd see an eerie mist outside before hearing voices, and he'd stand to his feet wondering if he would stop and sit back down, 'Is this any of my business?' but there was chakra that had escaped him previously. He'd shake his head, "Well then. . . she's back. . .", shifting into his shadow and appearing next to the ANBU kid he'd seen before, and this was going to wind up interesting.

Responding to her speaking he'd smirk, "Koa. . .the fact that you question ANBU is laughable. ANBU -and- Guardians, will openly give their lives to protect this village. . . but what are you attempting to spout?", Souji didnt forget that she had avoided being arrested when Souji was going to bring this to the spire. Then more crap happened. This was bullcrap honestly, at least to the thinker like Souji. He was very calculated, very poised, and obviously well-dressed. Even when dressing down. He was getting alot more money these days. . . it wa enough to help pay for his father's shaman and medical procedures. Though his mother was now in need of the same thing. . . it sucked. but he'd manage of course.

"Anything new develop? Anymore people I need to watch out for and tell my superiors about?", looking to the kid. . . seemed he was still a trainee. . . oh well some were held back for periods of time to make sure and to ensure that they grew properly with the branch but some would ultimately be let go due to not meshing well with the duties of the branch which would this kid be? Honestly Souji didnt care. . . he was an ANBU brat. He didnt much like them to begin with but he worked with them because it was his duty to do so. He would never openly disrespect them. . . but he felt what he did and what they did were different in terms of heart.

His eyes shifted to the side, feeling the chakra disturbance of the lurking shade even in the night. Snow possessed very acute senses so when chakra suddenly linked onto the darkness overcast by the moon's light, his eyes naturally honed onto the disturbance. Appearing almost omnipresent and before he could have had a chance to respond to Koa's statement, Snow's cold stare met Souji's equally frosty gaze. The position of his head and focus returned to Koa's presence immediately while retaining verbal silence as the Guardian of Shadow communicated with her. The words exchanged towards her from him was pivotal because it told Snow a good deal of general information that he was not aware of while equally increasing a sense of distrust in the Guardian present. There were certain rules within Iwagakure shadow corps that criminals and people under suspicion were to be arrested, yet a prideful deserter of Iwagakure was standing here with first name basis ties to Souji. His pupils squinted as his mind began to process reasons as to why a missing shinobi from Iwagakure was allowed to freely traverse around, apparently to some people's knowledge.

"Continue, though make no mistake depending on the contents of your message and it's merits, it will decide how you are detained."

His voice did not falter at all in his statement as just as she had expressed before, he was an ANBU and this was his job. Regardless of the weight and content of the information or message she spoke, at the end of the day she was still guilty of abandoning the village. As a missing-ninja she was to be detained regardless, though in what manner was all up to the guilty party. Equally so, the information she carried with her could easily warrant pardoning of her crimes which was something even Snow knew was plausible. He did not return his gaze to Souji but only kept his eyes on Koa as he await her response.

This was not Souji's first interection with Snow so it was not out of character for the trainee to stick to business and disallow any outside influence from keeping him from following protocol.

The conversation between Anbu and Missing-nin was dull and basic, which was to be expected considering that they had only just seen each other - much excitement. However, the notion of this meeting becoming stagnant was washed away with the appearance of a familiar natural energy; something vaguely familiar, a person whom she had seen before. A man had shown his face, and then it hit her, "Oh, I remember you..." The former chief would shrug her shoulders before giving the Guardian a quirky wink, spiced up with a subtle smile. "Let's not forget, sweetheart, that the only thing laughable is this village's defenders; who we can't really trust, can we?" Koa would clearly be talking about Hissori and Kurayo, one of them being a member of the Guardian's own clan - not that she knew this information. "Spout?" She would scrunch up her face and raise her arms as if to say 'eh, wit', "A lady doesn't spout..." Shame Koa wasn't one... But never-the-less, the former chief would lower her arms and give the Guardian an honest smile as there was some deep comfort to be back home.

"I think the group I'm with is on the move... I've decided to leave them in favour of staying with my sister, Haruka, the true Earth Daimyo." The flutter of her white dress's tail beating against the wind would fill any momentary gaps of silence. Koa was here because of the letter that was sent to her while the sister resided in Moon. The letter spoke of treason against the Kage but was it really treason to kill such an unruly fellow? Nah, it was justice. "I know I'm name-dropping but does it really matter? I'm here to protect my country against an enemy that I created." And that much was true, obviously. The Missing-nin group was created by Onamuji and Koa, and that had now transpired into something much more vast that threatened her home and the people she always cared for.

Koa was ready to take up arms, pick a side, and fight till the last breath. She would then look over to the masked pup that sat on the sidelines with quite a bloodthirsty stare, "Don't threaten me, child. I hold more integrity in my pinkie than you do in your entire body... Treat me with respect and I'll do the same." There was a stark contrast between the Koa that used to be a med-nin in Iwa and the Missing-nin that she was now. The world had changed her, unmasked her from the lies of her own mind.

"Thats. . . none. . . of my business. . ."

Looking to snow, he's shake his head, sometimes you had to loosen up to do your job a bit more efficiently. Protocol would get him killed. Guardians were able to lay loose and give others a sense of fairness whilst getting the information needed to move forward in other areas. Sometimes the straight forward approach was not the way to go. However, Souji would stand strong only shaking his head at Koa as she spoke, so he would retort, "There are people we cannot trust all around us. You just have to weed out the nuisances and make sure they never get in the way of what is right. . . because at that moment, they will betray you or this country. . . So, what do you have in those cases. . . say what you want about us, but there are definitively more good than bad with this. . I mean unless you're saying I'm untrust worthy as well. . .", he'd return her wink with a wink of his own followed by a smirk.

"Pause, I've never known Haruka to have a sister. . . I've known her my whole life just about. And never once did she ever mention she had a sister let alone, yourself.", maybe it was a figurative thing. Like they were 'sisters' of the cloth or something. Who knew, but Souji was subtly staggered. But nevertheless, "Snow, stand down. You may do your job and watch, take in the information in case something it missing or conflicts with anything I may know.", More so Souji was saying, 'You're still a trainee. . . Its okay to not be an ANBU yet. . .' but this kid was very 'by the book'. While that was fine, you had to be flexible. Without that he would not be able to get alot done. . . he was too robotic.

"So you mean to tell me you broke away from your -husband- for Haruka? Are you two a thing? Not that it matters, hehe, I just find it alittle. . .", his eyes would gloss over green for a moment, covering those aqua hues, ". . .intriguing. . .", and then he'd shake his head alittle feeling himself come back. His voice a bit shaken but it was subjected to the amount of things he held in. Either way, "So please, do tell me as much as you can. . . I sincerely want to help you as much as I want to help the village. . . It is my life, and I will give my life if it means it could protect the future of this nation. . .", his eyes grew firm, his stance strong and passionate. . . he meant it with his body and his mind. It wasnt just a matter of speaking. Hell, Souji had changed alot over the last few months. His body was stronger, more efficient. His chakra becoming more prominent, his mind was solid, and his personality was more active out and about. . . He wasnt just the Shadow of the Shadows. . .

No.

He was attempting to make history. . .

To become something no one in the Yukata line had ever been. . . It was a dream that he didnt think possible, but it would happen. . . It would definitely happen.

Whoa.... look at that huge floating globe. He said as he was going through the village with his ANBU escort. Kane stopped on top of one of the taller buildings to look at the floating headquarters unknown to him. He waited a few seconds and that's when his escort caught up with him. He looked to the man and spoke to the plain bear masked ANBU " What's that place up there and why is there three people standing on top of it?" He knew one of them was Koa. With his Senjutsu chakra he could recognize hers from a mile a way, figuratively speaking and also, there was only one person he knew that would use ice to cause attention to themselves and that was her. Not to say others couldn't do so but it was his educated guess that it was her, being a Haku as she was.

"Don't go up there. Your only warning." The escort spoke to him. Kane raised an eye brow and spoke "You do realize sense I've been here that is the first thing you've said to me in a verbal sense at all? Not even when I offered to pay for food and drinks for you did you reply with words, which would have been customary and polite to boot. You are my escort after all.

The ANBU nearly shrugged at Kane's words falling silent again. Kane would heed the ANBU's warning for now. He wasn't trying to hide. He stood there in the middle of the flat roof of the building watching the three from afar. Two men had their back to Kane, Koa would be facing him. What the hell was going on up there?

[topic entered as a spectator from afar]

(OOC: I'm not up there with you guys. I'm on a really tall building looking up at you guys. If you notice me or not is up to you as it won't bother me any. I can't hear what is going on so don't worry about trying to whisper. I'm not that close to you guys haha)

"Maður sem lætur persónulega tilfinningar spila inn í starf eins og þetta ... er ekki að taka starf sitt alvarlega.", spoken in his native tongue, Kanki's head could be see shaking slightly although he did not bother to move physically from where he was standing. He had a tone of disappointment which truly expressed how he felt and was beginning to feel a lot in regards to how certain members were behaving and going about their jobs. His gaze tracked towards Souji with narrowed visage, almost distrusting of him as the seeds of professional distrust were already sown a while ago. Regardless of methodology, he already knew the suspected outcome of this encounter with someone who was a known traitor of the village, a trespasser in an area that was already known by her to be off limits considering she was a former shinobi of Iwagakure, and a member of some -group-. She was going to walk away free and the guardian of shadow's will come up with some scapegoated reason as to why taking her into custody would be quote on quote ineffective.

He was starting to see why some people chose to be Guardians now as some people couldn't help but allow their personal influences and relationships to affect their work. Only in Iwagakure was all he could think about to explain such a state of a village when it's black ops openly allowed traitors to freely mingle around on the thread of past relationships and information.

Shadow, if that was his correct codename, seemed to scold his partner for acting too rashly; following the rules too closely. It was a strange notion that caused her to like the Guardian somewhat, despite their current differences - which by this point were quite mute. However, at the mention of Haruka - Koa's sister, by heart, - the man seemed to spur more of a reaction. "We are of the same clan, our blood ties matter not. We are sisters, and that is all that matters to us both." She would nod her head and smile, confident in her answer and very sure of herself, but not in an arrogant and cocky way. Shadow would continue on, "I did..." She would say gently, "Haruka needs my support more than that group. She needs her family to stand by her side." Of course it was hard to talk about abandoning Onamuji but she had to, even if he didn't understand.

"I'm not going to hide anything from you because I simply lack the ability to care about the current government." Koa would give Shadow a strong, powerful stare as a smile draped over her face with malicious intent. "Your kage, Inu Endo, I want his head for what he did to my sister..." She would turn to Kanki and point, pouting her lips, "Did you get that?" And of course, the former chief was referring to how Haruka's daimyo status was ripped away from her like how a candy thief would steal a coin of chocolate from a baby's grasp. This country needed political reform, a shuffle of its cabinet and that's why the former chief was here.

"I'm under the suspicion that Endo isn't much liked in these parts? Hell, I barely knew who he was before I left the village - it's strange what living in a dungeon of dead bodies and autopsy can do to a mind." Of course, Koa wasn't alone, there was still Kane. She would shake her head for a moment before taking a deep breath. No, no, he had to make it out of here alive... He was within enemy territory and it was Koa's fault. "Anyway, guys, let's cut the tension with a knife already? I want my sister to become Kage of this little dump."

[Do you guys want to void this out? Me and Kanki were speaking and the topic now has zero merit. It's all thanks to the dud round but mistakes happen.]
