She isn’t as strong as her sister at her age, though she tries to keep up, she knows her abilities are more mental than physical. She wears dark, practical clothes; knee-high boots, cargo shorts, and a purple shirt with her family crest on it (3 birds in a tree).
Personality: Mitsu is a quiet girl around people she doesn’t know, but is easily humored with those she lets in. She is sometimes seen smiling, as if laughing at a private joke. She has a very discreet presence, and most people don’t notice when she is there. She comes across as aloof and daydreaming, but she is very aware of her surroundings, despite having poor eyesight. While she prefers to observe others rather than participate, she is the first person to stand up for a friend in need. She has a fiery temper when tested, and will tell you exactly what she thinks. She can be a bit overly defensive, especially when it comes to her family. Because of her observant nature, she is excellent at obtaining information and forming strategies. She keeps a sketchbook with her at all times to mark things of note or sketch a figure.
History: The Kimoto clan has a proud heritage of strong soldiers/messengers. They use birds to communicate across the world, and are often seen with a bird companion/summon.
Her father Hiroki was a scientist with unpopular opinions and radical ideas, which were rejected by the rest of the clan. Word spread quickly about his exploits. Her mother Sayuri is a artist with strong gentjutsu and herbalist skills. Mitsu's older sister Akiko is a renowned soldier, famous for her strength and beauty, and is the pride of the clan. Mitsu looks up to her, though at the same time is frustrated by being in her shadow.
Her father believed he could use his bloodline traits to help cure ailments in their country. He experimented on himself. He was driven mad after a horrible accident during an experiment, when Mitsu was in the wrong place at the wrong time. In his rage, he cut Mitsu’s eye, nearly blinding her. The rage came in spasms which forced him to be exiled from the village. Mitsu’s mother now controls his rage with her genjutsu and medicines she creates in a recluse stone cabin. Every now and then, Hiroki makes a short recovery, having lucid conversations in which he remembers to some extent what happened. They remain hopeful that his mind will return, but in the meantime they are cut off financially. To support the family, Akiko signed up for a task force, doing special S class missions for the village. She is gone most of the time, so Mitsu is left with her aunt Chie. While Mitsu loves her aunt, she often disappears from home to go exploring.
