Physical Description: Ritsuro is a relatively tall boy for his age, considering his father's gigantism... Standing at 5'0", he towers over most other 9 year old children, and only hopes he wont grow too much more. Being seven feet tall is not ideal... Most often, his hair is a mess of black knots atop his head. He'd never been taught proper hair care, so there wasnt much he could do to help that. Ri's eyes are a brilliant shade of blue, the only feature he'd taken from his mother - thankfully considering her freakish skin tone. His attire is rather lazy, simply wearing a dirty jacket and black pants with a pair of sandals. His facial features are soft, and overall musculature is relatively defined due to Ri Sr's "training" sessions.
Mental Description: Ritsuro could be perfectly described by "do as I say not as I do." The boy will lecture others all day about the dangers of alcohol - or other similar activities - but will then actively participate while he does so. On top of this, he has no idea that he's contradicting himself with his actions, he simply thinks he's helping. His history brings a variety of issues and conflicts to the boys mind, making him quite moody. There will be days that he feels on top of the world, days that he blames himself for every misfortune he'd encountered in his past, and everything in between. His motivation to be a shinobi is near zero, but he knows he must to survive..
Character History: The easiest way to begin the story of Ritsuro’s… Unique past, is to begin with his father’s. Shita Rirakkusu… Those who knew this man, or at the time boy - before his disappearance - would describe him as irresponsible, lazy, dense, perverted, most likely nothing good. Temptations were often too much for him to resist, and he found himself in trouble far more often than he would’ve liked, one such issue even preventing him from ever indulging in rice’s sweet nectar ever again… Sake. Saying Ri had a drinking problem would have been an understatement, it had reached the point of being a lifestyle, and upon becoming a mass of demon worms with only his outer shell appearing human? He found himself unable to become drunk. All of his issues became intensified without his crutch, and inevitably he found himself fleeing from them. The village never pursued him, not that he helped it enough for them to notice anyways.
The once skilled and resilient - or perhaps stubborn - shinobi became relatively deranged. His only happiness in life was lost, and his bad habits only became worse. And then she came. A woman with green hair and oddly yellow skin found it quite simple to play with the broken shinobi. She convinced him to conceive a child, the man’s perverted nature making it impossible to refuse, as the man had lost any standards he might have once had. Little did either of them know, the worms within Ri’s body had always hoped such a day would come. Along with other necessary reproductive cells, came eggs of their own. With the child came the same evil worms that infected Ri, only these ones did not replace the child’s organs. Instead, they relied on the child. Feeding off its chakra and creating their own… Refined version. The two species were one entity, but in a different way from their father.
Rirakkusu’s ego was a part of his personality that remained, and he wanted his child to carry a similar name to the great man that helped birth him. Shita Ritsuro, the creepy love child of a mass of worms and flesh, and a woman who even he thought resembled a strange foreign fruit at times… Ri Sr, despite boasting about his parenting skills almost daily to his small circle of friends, was the worst parent a child could ask for. Beyond “training,” if you could call it that, the man would neglect his child. Ritsuro had to learn how to survive with the strange relationship he had with his worms, there would be no help from anyone else. Not that he wanted it.
Almost as thought it was hereditary, Ritsuro picked up on many bad habits quite early - primarily drinking. The child would often carry a flask on his person, he found it helped during stressful moments or times that the writhing just beneath his skin became unbearable. Besides, the worms seemed to enjoy it too… He thought. As the child’s potential as a shinobi began to show, Ri Sr. decided it was time to bring the boy to the village, where he could finally hope to redeem himself from his past mistakes - which he recognized after being sober for many years. Riko was his ticket back into the world of shinobi, and the two soon found themselves back at the gate to Kumogakure….
