Name: Mouchou Haya
Age: 13
Gender: Male
General Description: Haya stands at 5'6" and has light skin and a thin physique. His hair is a medium shade of brown and it is prone to fall into a wavy mess.... partly because Haya does not care to keep it maintained, preferring to just quickly tie it back or let it fall where ever it may. His brown eyes accent his face which (with some exceptions) is always fixed into a warm and playful smile. He also has a birthmark which takes the form of a scar-like line that runs through his lip. Haya's dress tends to change frequently but his favorite outfit is a white hooded outfit which he received as a gift recently.
Under normal circumstances Haya is an easygoing, charming, slightly perverted punk. He'll have enough to worry about once the fighting starts, so he does his best to not take things too seriously. This can lead to him being misunderstood by some; which discourages him greatly. Joke-ish tendencies aside, he does try to live a somewhat honest life, and he has a great appreciation for loyalty; he will give his all to support his friends and allies, trusting that when the time comes they will do the same for him.
History: The day that Haya was born was perhaps the worst day of his life. His family, the Mouchou clan, ran a vigilante operation that spanned the entire Lightning Country. Their constant raids on local criminal organizations gave them no shortage of enemies, and yet they were able to survive by keeping themselves hidden and befriending commoners would would assist in their cause. But Haya's birth marked the end of the clan's good fortune, that same night a small army of mercenaries assaulted the clan's hideout.
The clan tried it's best to defend it's turf but the onslaught was relentless, eventually the complex was overrun. Facing the annihilation of his entire family the clan's master, Haya's father, ordered the group to disband and retreat.
The losses were severe; without their main safehouse the clan could no longer operate. Nearly the entire clan was wiped out, and the survivors were scattered across the country. The newborn Haya was almost killed himself, but the timely intervention of his father saved his life.
Haya's father left the ruins of his former home and traveled to a nearby monastery. The monks, who had always secretly supported the clan, were more than happy to give Haya a home. After the baby had settled in the clan master disappeared, knowing that his enemies might still be searching for him. Haya would grow up in the monastery, his rogue-ish attitude brought no end of grief to the monks, but the boy's perceptiveness and sense of justice were seen as a true blessing. Indeed, underneath the boy's insincere face was a truly kind and caring man... a man who his father could be proud of. Haya's life was mostly uneventful until his thirteenth birthday.
A messenger appeared at the monastery on the evening of Haya's thirteenth birthday. He bore a letter and a package addressed to Haya. A rather fateful birthday present.... the letter was addressed from his father, it's contents told Haya of the fate of his clan, and it's current state. It was saddening for the boy to read, what was left of the Mouchou was scattered to the four winds, those who were still alive were tired and no longer able to keep up the fight. But there was a ray of hope. Haya was still technically the clan's heir, if he could establish himself as an assassin he could revive his family's prestige!
The letter gave Haya one lead to start his new life; he was directed to go to Kumogakure, the village which trained the shadow warriors known as 'ninja'.
Haya left as soon as the monks would let him. They gave him a small cache of supplies, enough to last him until he reached the hidden village. They also sent the exorcist trainee, Ami, to watch over him. At first Haya was somewhat irritated at the temperament of his companion, but over time he learned to appreciate her company.
It was a long road to Kumogakure, but Haya was determined, and before long he had arrived at the village which could make his dream come true. Now it was up to him to make it happen!
