Physical Description:
Ringo is a boy with a simple appearance that is adorned with a seemingly cheery demeanor. With spiky brown hair and eyes, he is the younger male copy of his mother. Also like his mother, his physical features are soft, and he has a thin stature. He is slightly above average height for his age; he stands exactly shoulder-to-shoulder with his eldest brother. He is often seen beaming a shining smile, which exposes a singular dimple on his left cheek.
His daily attire can be described as relaxed. When he’s in civilian clothing, he can be seen wearing a loose button-up shirt or a t-shirt accompanied with fitted bottoms. At the academy, he dresses himself up in gear that is a bit more form-fitting and with layers. His signature accessory is a pair of goggles that his older brother gifted to him when he joined the academy. Whether on the streets or undergoing combat training, you’ll never see Ringo without his coveted eyewear.
Personality:
Ringo is the youngest child in his immediate family, which paints the archetype of his persona quite well. He was very attached to his parents, specifically his mother, and he grew up coddled by them despite their militaristic rank. Due to this, Ringo can be described as carefree, optimistic, a bit naïve, and a tad sensitive. Contrary to his older brother, he does not possess an aggressive bone in his body. His interactions with other kids his age have always been both diplomatic and relaxed. In times of conflict, he is patient with others and tends to offer them the benefit of the doubt, but he is less forgiving with himself. Despite being cheery and lighthearted, his frustrations with his own inadequacies can sometimes get the best of him.
After this disappearance of his parents, Ringo has developed a strong motivation to become stronger so that he can one day find them alongside his brother. His newfound determination and his enrollment in Sunagakure’s shinobi academy have begun to stir something new within him.
Backstory:
Ringo was born into the Mugen family of Sunagakure. Within his immediate family are his parents, Saeri and Sanbi, and his older brother, Muu. He had a rather unremarkable upbringing for a child raised by shinobi parents. In fact, despite his parents being of Chuunin rank and active within their respective duties, he was coddled throughout his childhood, which resulted in his current soft demeanor. While his eldest sibling glorified and tried to emulate his parents’ ninja lifestyle, Ringo was completely content living peacefully. He was often found helping his mother cook in the kitchen, assisting her with trips to the markets, and lazing around with his acquaintances at the playground.
His relationship with his sibling was a bit more mixed. While he didn’t mix well with his brother’s aggressive playstyle, Ringo harbored a deep admiration for him. A notable moment in their kinship was when Muu defended Ringo against your everyday sandbox bullies that were chucking sand at him. After Muu beat the living sense out of them, he later gifted Ringo goggles to protect him from getting sand in his eyes. Ringo has kept those same goggles ever since and always adorns them.
More recently, the Mugen family faced a tragedy. Ringo and Mugen’s parents disappeared when embarking on a shinobi mission. With a newfound motivation to become stronger so that he can find his parents, the typically carefree Ringo began to take his studies in the academy seriously. This is the beginning of his first steps toward shinobihood.
