Name: Murakami Mikizu
Age: 9
Gender: Female
Sex: Female
Rank or Occupation: Genin
Appearance: Mikizu has silver hair reaching down to her back. Standing at an unimpressive stature of 4’0” even, she isn’t turning any heads. She weighs around 50 pounds. Being a half-breed, half-oni half-human, she has a horn that will periodically show from time to time if she becomes angry enough for it to appear. Her bluish green eyes compliment her favored indigo dress that she always wears when not fighting. She will wear other clothes however if the occasion calls for something warmer or much classier than her favored dress. Not only does her dress and eyes compliment each other but, her shoes are quite silver as well matching her hair perfectly as if they were made of the girls own hair. She wasn’t much for jewelry but one thing she did have that was always worn at all times was a silver bracelet that was on her non dominant left wrist.
Mental Description: Mikizu is quite cheerful and can always be found with wide eyes and a wonderful smile on her face. She has always been one to treat others with respect. Not only does she respect others but goes out of her way to help others to the same extent a mother would go out of her way to help their child. Mikizu makes it a point to help all those she can sometimes forgetting about taking care of herself. Often times she will look as if she is a complete mess because she has been focusing on someone else’s health rather than her own. She doesn’t like to express her own emotions however to others rather help them with theirs. Even when asked about her own emotions she will dodge the question or do almost anything she can to avoid giving a truthful and full answer as she finds it very hard to talk to others about her feelings and emotions.
History: Mikizu was born in the leaf hospital to a “surrogate” mother. Her father didn’t have a woman of his own, so he went to the hospital for a donor and received one. The donor’s eggs that were used were that of a half-breed from a smaller country. Once Mikizu was born her father took her in and loved her as his own raising her on his own with no mother figure in her life. She was always taught at a very young age respect was a very important thing and that respecting your elders was simply something you should always do. Her early years were filled with love and admiration of her hard-working father as he was always a hard-working man. He ran one of the farms in the Leaf Village and was always working on the farm to make sure that Mikizu could have a wonderful and beautiful life filled with all her desires and dreams.
Noticing that she was always interested in his ceremonial weapons on the wall he let her play with a cheaply made sword that he had lying around in the barn. She seemed to really enjoy using it and smiled very brightly whenever she would be allowed to use the weapon. Once Mikizu turned 7 however her father took away the weapon without warning for a month or so. He also removed all the other ceremonial weapons around the house seemingly having hidden them all from her sight and reach. She was quite upset about this and complained to him daily about this wondering why he had to go and remove one of the greatest joys she had in her life.
He didn’t ever give her an answer however and brushed off the question. She eventually realized that he wasn’t ever going to give her a real answer about it and ceased all questions about it accepting the fact that he had removed them all. The rest of the year passed on for her as she did all the normal things that a seven-year-old would do like playing ball with friends outside and hanging out doing childish things around the village.
Mikizu’s eighth birthday passed as if nothing happened which was unusual as her father loved embarrassing her with fancy birthday parties inviting all her friends and doing funny little games. On her eighth birthday however, her father wasn’t even home which had never happened before. He was always there when she got home most days and he had never missed her birthday like this. Worried she looked all around for him on the farm not seeing a single trace for her to track him down with or even recognize he had been there all day. Giving up after having looked around for him all day she walked in her room tossing herself on her bed exhausted from running around the village and farm looking for her father. As she threw herself on her bed, she heard the sound of something hitting the floor. Hearing this she quickly jumped out of the bed and walked over to the opposite side of the bed. Laying on the floor in a beautifully black case was a katana with a small note on it written in her father’s hand writing. The note read “Sorry I couldn’t be here to give this to you myself as I have had some business to attend to in a nearby village. This katana has been passed down in our family for generations(spiritual). The reason I took away all the other weapons was so that you would not become too attached to them before I could give you this one. This is the weapon of our ancestors and it is passed down from generation to generation. I never found use for it when my father gave it to me however I believe you will have a lot of use for this. Happy birthday baby girl.” As she finished the note a tear fell down her face as she picked up the katana and held it close to her hugging it tightly. She stayed like this crying and hugging the katana until she passed out completely exhausted from the day’s events.
Mikizu from then on was never found without her katana. She slept with it and loved it as if it was her own little baby. She couldn’t stand to be away from it and loved learning more things about how she could wield it better and more effectively. She used it against the barn for practice which would often get her in trouble with her dad. Realizing she wasn’t going to stop her father suggested that she apply as an academy student.
Taking this offer she quickly surpassed the other students in the academy and was recommended for the Genin exam very early on. She practiced furiously day in and day out before the exam. On the day of the exam she was very nervous what she was going to have to do. Once she arrived for the exam it was explained that it was a two-part process and that both parts would have to be passed for the student to become a Genin. The first part was a written test which she did quite well on. She was towards the top of her class for that but not the absolute best either. The next part was sparring other classmates one on one. She was the first one to go as she volunteered to go first. Her opponent was also someone wielding a katana which made it a very interesting fight. They both fought very hard dodging and lunging at each other gracefully as they tried to best one another. Eventually they both tired however and each went for a final strike which ended the battle. Mikizu had finally beaten her opponent and passed the exam becoming a Genin.
