Kusari is a fairly tall young adult, already five foot six at twelve, with a very lanky, lithe build and sharp, androgynous features. Their skin is fair, with olive undertones and their eyes are dark amber. They don't weigh a huge amount thanks to their fast metabolism, a total of 98 pounds. Their hair is an ashy grey-black colour, styled into a short mullet/mohawk, with the longer section at the back being ashier and paler than the rest. Their outfit consists of a mesh shirt, a cropped black utility jacket reaching his midriff, and dark grey cargo trousers. They completes the look with black sandals and often wears a light grey hooded poncho while travelling.
Personality
For the most part, Kusari is an immature and impulsive young adult who finds it difficult to focus and easily gets into trouble. This is due to their strange idea of fairness, where, in their mind ‘everyone is equally deserving of everything, including an ass beating.’ Despite this, when they run into someone who doesn’t get too annoyed at their jokes and behaviour, they prove themselves to be a loyal and caring ally; a strong-willed, helpful friend. Kusari was born to a weaponsmith mother and a Chunin father, Sachiko and Dan respectively, Kusari’s childhood goal was obvious; they were aiming to prove that any piece of steel, in the right hands, could be just as dangerous as Ninjutsu. They were enthralled by the rhythms of duels and the craft that went into weapons, both their smithing and maintenance, diving into helping his mother wherever they could. They began the academy at age eight, not really standing out in their class, though they did start to pull ahead of their class in Bukijutsu, thanks to always having a fresh supply of tools and weapons to train with. Their father always liked to help him when he could, mostly focusing on their workouts, nutrition, and chakra control, proclaiming that “a dune is but a million grains,” and insisting that a strong foundation was the key to success.
Further into their education, Kusari settled on their weapon of choice, the humble weighted chain. They later graduated in the top twenty per cent of their class, thanks to their parents' constant help.
