Name: Nakano Karasu
Age: 10
Gender: Female
Rank: Academy Student
Physical Description: Karasu is a fair skinned girl with big bright blue eyes. She stands at four feet ten inches tall. With the exception of her bangs she has long flowing white hair that goes down to her waist. Her clothes were made from her own hand which she learned from her mother. A purple and black shirt that has her father’s clan symbol on it. It is a circle surrounding two double bladed spears crossing. She has solid black tight pants that go to her ankles. There is a white stripe on each side of the pant legs. She also carries a sword that her father made her. The hilt is silver and black and in the middle is a purple gem that her mother gave her. The gem is not too particularly large and has no significant value other than it is a family heirloom.
Mental Description: Karasu is quiet and shy but very observant of her surroundings. She doesn’t trust many people because of the trauma of her past. Therefore making friends is very hard for her. She never had the chance to really bond with anyone. She doesn’t feel she really belongs because she has traveled so many places that she never truly belonged anywhere. She is always questioning herself, wondering if she is making the right decision. It makes her hesitant and too cautious in situations. Sometimes she gets flashbacks of certain events of her past that make her falter at times. She has been laughed at when that happens. This only makes her feel embarrassed, shunned and not welcomed wherever she is. Thus making her lack confidence in herself. One thing Karasu is good at is being resourceful. Though she may hesitate at the beginning there is an inner strength in her that comes out when she least expects it. Usually when she isn’t thinking about her faults. It’s what gives her the potential to one day overcome her own personal obstacles.
History: Nakano Karasu was born to Nakano Hiro and Nakano (Santaru) Sakura in a small village outside of the Hidden Cloud Village where her mother was from. Sakura had some ninja training but she was not an elite ninja. She never made it past Genin. She had a kekkei genkei called Storm Element. It was passed down through her bloodline. Though she knew some techniques she was far from the strongest of her clan. Sakura just really wanted a normal life and felt being a ninja was not what she wanted to do. She really wanted to settle down and have a family. Karasu's father Hiro was a ninja from the Hidden Sand Village. Hiro’s clan were weapon’s specialists. Hiro had an affinity with Wind chakra and was able to infuse it with weapons. He was at Chuunin level. One day on a mission, he met Sakura and fell in love. He decided to leave his village and marry Sakura. It was a hard life, they didn’t have much money to their name but they had plenty of love all around. When Karasu was little she used to play all the time with both her parents. Her father even made a special sword for Karasu which he added a beautiful purple gem on the hilt. Her mother realized that Karasu had the ability to use Storm Element during one of their playing sessions. Karasu was able to create some static though not yet to be able to perform a technique just yet. Her mother worked with her often to enhance her skills. It was the happiest time of Karasu’s life. She was four years old then and now it only seems like a dream. Karasu’s mother was training her while her father was looking on. The day seemed like any other day, but this day turned out different. Her mother was showing her daughter a technique she knew. What her mother and father didn’t know at the time was that one of the older villagers, who pretty much bullied the whole village saw the technique. He was so angry that he told the other villagers and gathered some men to push the family out. They set fire to the house with the family inside. Karasu and her father were able to get out, but her mother didn’t make it. Karasu and her father had to run for their lives before the villagers caught them.
They went from village to village in different countries never settling down. They had always ran into some sort of trouble. People didn’t like strangers and thought they were up to no good. They were attacked a few times from villagers who feared new people and also were attacked by bandits on the road. There seemed to be no end in sight in settling anywhere. When some Missing-Nin attacked and severely hurt her father, Karasu had to tend to him. They walked a long way when they finally reached the Land of Fire. Her father who was crippled from his encounter with some Missing-Nin collapsed in the forest. Karasu tried to help him but there was nothing she could do. Luckily some Leaf shinobi found them and took Karasu and her father to the Leaf Village to get aid. The Leaf medical staff saved her father but it came at a cost. He was unable to walk on his own and had to be on crutches or in a wheelchair. Although they had sad news on her father’s condition, they had some good news, with the permission from the Hokage they were able to finally settle down and have a home here.
