Then maru cloaks the entire area in darkness to make the area around him pitch black, leaving Maru to sneak around so he might will be able to pull off an sneak attack. The darkness was now Maru's but there was still one thing he needed for his darkness to be completed, improving his Karasu puppet was that next step. But for now it seemed that MARU was finished training, he needed to finish both himself and Karasu in order to be fully complete.
