New Scenery[Entering Country]

[Nanjirou Soku]

Sand...a lot of sand. She had went from the lush greenery of the Fire Country to the scorching desert dunes of the Wind. Granted, her attire specifically suited for the moderate Konohagakure climates wasn't helping either. Her eyebrow shot up as she saw a scorpion scuttle across the sandy surfaces disappearing quickly. There were a lot of dangers and hidden surprises waiting in store for her here and she was keen not to encounter any of them. The harsh rays of the sun shone down upon her as a few beads of sweat trickled down her face. She had discarded her cloak rolling it up and stowing it in her back. Such a thick garment would have served no purpose in such heated conditions. For now, she wore the traditional battered old ANBU vest concealed by the green flak jacket as her boots trudged towards the great buildings that loomed out in the distance known as The Village HIdden in the Sand. She still hadn't reunited with her companions but had gotten a good sense of direction. At worst, she would sight them at the village gates which she would arrive in good time given she wasn't delayed by anything. Soku had heard nasty things about this part of the shinobi world and was keen to find civillazation as soon as possible.

”Pretty sure its this way.”

Maki walks along the dunes, his pack held over his head to provide some much needed shade from the blistering sun. It had been quite some time since his last trip to this land, he’d forgotten exactly how problematic the environment could be here. And as much as he hated to admit it, he wasn’t as powerful as he was the last time he came here. He’d gotten older, his body no longer able to tolerate the extremes it once could. But the trail was….muddy but there. She was ahead of them for now.

What she wouldn't give for a nice little cloud of snow above her. Too bad neither of them were of the Santaru bloodline, that would be great right about now. She had thankfully packed a wide-brimmed hat to help keep her fair skin from burning under the sun's intensity. Knowing her third traveling companion was just ahead of her, she took a small sip of her water flask and pressed forward, a lightness to her step despite the sand beneath her feet.

Here was to hoping they would catch up with Soku soon.
