Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kamatazi Shinen walks into the empty academy. Was he too late for class? No, it couldn't be possible, for it was still too early in the morning, the sun has barely risen. Perhaps the class hasn't started yet. Instead, Shinen walks over to a desk and sits down and waits to see if a sensei appears for class. He looks forward to his first class, his new life as a shinobi. He especially looks forward to when classes reach practice for the three styles: Genjutsu, Ninjutsu, and Taijutsu. He already has his favorites chosen, but he knows he'd be better off with where he specialized in. He wondered though, if there was more to it than what he saw from sparing ninjas a few days ago, with chakra and the three ninja styles. He would learn, of course, and he sat there, waiting, wondering what will happen, and who else will attend the class, who is his sensei.

Things go wrong all of the time. There were no classes in progress today. In the aftermath of the devastation there was little left for the youth. Those the least protected by society and the hierarchical structures of the shinobi populous. However, despite there being no class in session. No educational plan anticipated someone did enter the academy. Someone did enter the classroom. She was a small woman, not nearly the size and the stature one would expect from a shinobi. She stood just over five feet in height, her heels making her slightly taller but the attempt was obvious. She walked with a slow, limping gait and said not a word as she sat down at the desk at the front of the classroom. There were no papers to rifle through as she looked across the empty space to where a young man sat.

"I assume you are here to become a shinobi, so let's get started," she announced simply. A small kunai was pulled from a hidden strap on her thigh and with a flick of the wrist it was sent in the direction of the youth. It would not hit him, not because she was a bad shot but because she was aiming for the desk. The three inch razor-sharp blade cut through the particle-board desk surface with ease. "Then survive," Shiori announced as a second kunai was shot into the desk, closer to the young man's actual body. She stood up from behind the desk and made her way for the door, if the boy started to flee for the exit a blast of wind would slam the door closed.

"An unexpected assault by your better. Armed with the refuse left in our opponent's wake, what do you do?" The woman queried as another assault of shining knives were released in the direction of the young man. He, the boy that is was in a classroom. Faced with what can only be assumed a madwoman. The only exit was now closed and she, potentially unlike him was heavily armed. From the looks of her and her pallid flesh she was a Sunan, living in this hole for the last few decades hiding from the maelstrom. Her ankles and thighs scared, as was her face. At one time she was likely quite pretty but today was not such a day. Her attire stood out, that of a vain woman despite her maiming injuries. It was strange but not something the shinobi-hopeful would have time to ponder with the hailstorm of projectiles were sent his way. "Survival... you can not fight back if you are dead, how will you survive?"

What Happened?
  • Yay, you have someone in your classroom. Not sure that is a good thing.
  • You are trapped in the classroom, the door is shut (locked).
  • A woman is throwing kunais at you, she is not trying hard to hit you but something will likely graze you if you are not careful.
  • The clever use of jutsus, skills, and the environment (you are in a classroom so there would be desks and chairs like any other classrom).

Shinen Instantly flipped his desk and hid behind the desk, with the kunai's on the desk facing to him. As he grabbed the kunai's, he heard the flying kunai's hit the desk, and noticed a few fly by him. As he glanced over the desk toward this seemingly insane madwoman, he was filled with an odd, yet comfortable, excitement. Quickly looking around him, Shinen noticed the usable objects he can use to block her kunai's or at least to distract her. "You want me to survive through a random attack, then let us spar!" Shinen shouted as he made his move.

Shinen held a kunai in each hand, and threw the table toward the woman. As the table flew toward her, he ran as fast as he can toward her, behind the table in an attempt to sneak on her.

what happened:
* Instinctively flipped table, with kunai's in table near Shinen, to block incoming Kunai's
*Threw table then ran behind table, attempting a sneak attack with kunai's in hands.

The kunais were assumedly plucked from the worn desktop before it was hurled into the air. A kunai was sent through the opening this had left, handle-first rather than blade-first. Once... twice... thrice. If any hit, they would not leave a scar, although there would be a bruise lasting easily the week if any made their mark.

Use of the environment to one's advantage -- check.

Resource acquisition -- check.
<i>
</i>

The table flipped through the air, spinning over itself thrice before it came crashing down. It narrowly missed the 'sensei' and only because she was standing behind a much larger desk of her own as she made no attempt to evade. The boy tried to flank her, a welcome sight. If he tried to cut her, she would twist and writhe so that it did not slice but rather plunged into her arm, leg or gut. If he succeeded , it would not be in his best interest as she said something simple but also terrifying "now I have disarmed you, the knife is mine." Her voice raspy and despite being pained, victorious as her hand rested over the ring of the kunai handle and she attempted to headbutt the young man.

If the boy made no attack, perhaps too fearful to try, then the woman would pull something from her pocket. It was small, about the size of a small ball one would get from a vending machine. Not just any ball, but the 'expensive ones' that cost two quarters rather than one. She would throw it on the ground ad a cloud of smoke would fill the room obscuring the boy's vision. Unable to see, he would hear the sound of rapid steps all around him as she closed in for the attack.

What Happened?<i></i>
  • - Table was flipped.
  • - If she is attacked with a kunai, rather than be cut she attempts to have the knife stab into her body as a way of disarming her opponent.
  • - If she is not attacked, she throws a smoke bomb.

Shinen started to slice with a Kunai. Noticing the woman wasn't moving, but instead grinning, he instead spun in midair and attempted to knee her in the head with his right knee. If the woman is hit, it would knock her down, where Shinen would use the recovered Kunai's to pin her to the ground through her arm's, causing her to be unable to recover any ninja tools, or be able to grab the kunai's he used on her to use against Shinen.

If the woman dodged his attack, he would recover and immediately throw one of the kunai's to rip the sensei's bag, causing her tools to fall out, and charge her again. When he would reach her the second time, he would use taijutsu, in attempt to wear her down.

What happened:
*Shinen spun his body to do a knee to the head move (instead of slice when "Sensei" didn't try to dodge but grinned
*Would "Sensei" dodge, or would she have been taken by surprise

Heads are sometimes harder than knees and for a reckless fighter this is most of all true. A knee to the face was a knee to the face, which one of them it hurt more -- hard to say. Her face barely felt anything from the whisp of a youth, however it would feel like he kicked a brick wall. "Your opponent is stronger than you," she stated with astonishing calm. "You may even feel more pain than they do," she added. "What do you do? Do you flee? You will have a knife in your back before you ever reach the door!"</B><i></i> She warned as she slammed her palm forward, potentially kncoking the child across the room mostly harmlessly if it were not for the desks and chairs he had to crash through before he finally came to a halt. <B>"How do you survive? She let the question linger in the air, but not for long. There was never much time in the heat of battle. Instinct and reaction is not something someone learns but rather an instinct that people have.

This might be his first lesson, but it might prove to be his hardest. How do you live when you are weak?

"Damn! she is definitely a lot stronger...How do I survive huh?" Shinen said quietly. Shinen tossed a new desk over and hid behind it. He attempted to use a clone technique he read in a scroll he found on his way to the academy, "Sand clone Jutsu!" there were two clones, not perfect, but good enough to help him. He used them to distract the woman as he gathered the scattered kunai's around the back of the class room and in any desks. Once he gathered the Kunai's, he ducked again behind the desk and resummoned a few sand clones, same as before, not perfect. Then he charged the woman again, only this time, he attempted to trip her then pin her on the ground with the gathered Kunai's.

Exactly!

Multiplicative targets: difficult enough to discern.

Wasted attacks: the use of barriers to ensure that he is not hit even if targeted.

The scattered sands on the floor congregated and formed a man, or rather a boy. Close enough for some to not be able to tell the difference, she not being one of those people but this was not a fair fight. "Excellent," she announced as the boy broke formation and lurked for her, scavenged kunais in hand. She could have avoided, but against a lone juvenile opponent it would be unnecessary and she knew it. Her legs knocked from under her, she pulled a kunai from her thigh and pressed it along his inguinal crease as she, they came crashing down. She did not cut or stab the youth, this was that dramatic ending where there was likely a kunai to her cheat of throat and a prematurely victorious youth stared down from above. That would be until he realized how close her kunai was to the family jewels.

"You will make a good shinobi... one day," the woman announced as she turned the bladed weapon in he hand around so that the flat, un-sharpened end tapped the young man. "But your classroom is actually the room adjacent. Was fun of course seeing my cousin's future force."</B><i></i> Yes, it was her, fighting in a manner contradictory to her class. Still maimed and scared. She was referring to the fact that the boy erroneously walked into the wrong classroom. She was not a teacher, well... not today or better said not anymore. It would likely not be long before she was incarcerated - be it a physical or a metaphorical one was still up in the air.

OC: Good job, I love active people. <B>Harupia is starting up a class and I am giving you a class bonus for this thread as well calling it a 'complete class.'

Reward for class is the following: 500 Yen and +5 to any stat of the students choosing. I have added the yen, you can gain the +5 to a single stat with your next training, just link it to here. Remember to train every week to get strong.
