Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Tora looked around after finding an area that looked like it had nothing to damage as he waited for Chi to show up. She’d be able to try things out with Fire Ninjutsu and ‘play for a bit’. Tora was mostly there to answer questions she might have and make sure she didn’t burn anything down or get herself hurt.

[legend="Ninjutsu 101"]Chi followed the teacher to the proving grounds. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do exactly. She held the marker, feeling the warmth in her hands and she wrapped them around it. She decided just to give something a try, and with a few hand seals she created a huge flame which began to take shape in front of her eyes. She would gasp as it finished forming and stood in front of her. She had inadvertently used the marker's power to use the Abysmal Harbinger jutsu… And she couldn't be happier.
"Wowie! That's super neat!" Then she just stood there staring at it. Unaware that she could control it. "Tora-Sensei, are there any jutsu that would allow me to be engulfed in flames? Safely of course.[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC:129"]I'm guessing that's how the marker is suppose to work, if not just let me know and I can change it. I'm also posting straight from the last topic since you and the other student got in a few good posts before I could get mine in and it felt odd to be posting after that all happened. -shrugs-[/legend]

(OoC: No worries)
Tora watched and smiled as the young girl was excited by the Abysmal Harbringer jutsu she performed and the look of wonder in her eyes. He could see although he complained a lot why Tonbo still did this. The question directed at him had him thinking though as he explained things.

”Well if you want fire around you there is the Ring of Fire, and Flame Shield techniques but if you wanted to ‘wear fire’ there is an armor jutsu called Immolation Armor for such occasions.” he explained as he went through hand seals and his clothes and body exploded in fire underneath a blackish red lacquered set of armor and scorpion like helm. ”This technique can hurt you though if you choose to causing it to happen but this will help you escape being bound if you’re in that kind of situation. How does Sensei look?” he explained pantomiming a kata in his flaming armor.

Upon arrival, the small golem disappeared out of Kurai's vision. He had no explanation as to where it went, it just simply vanished.

Hmm... another sensei and another student... she has the red marker. No doubt for fire

Kurai glanced over at the young kunoichi in training and then back to the man no doubtly running the "outdoor" portion of the class. He walked over to the man and bowed respectfully, keeping his distance as the man was engulfed in flame.

"Greetings sir, Tonbu-Sensei had me follow a small golem he created and it led me here". Kurai said as he finished showing his respect to he who would be observing the two students.

Kurai firmly gripped the marker in hand. He could feel a small surge of chakra being dispersed throughout his entire body.

His eyes glanced over at the other student while he was bowing to his new master. Kurai cracked a small smile, showing no teeth.

My belly feels so pushed back... Kurai had butterflies.

I wonder what her name is. She's so pretty. Oh god, what if she says hi to me?? What will I do?! I have to keep my composure. But man she's so pretty. I can't! I just can't! I am training to become a shinobi! What are these feelings I'm getting. I have to focus on the task at hand... but man... she's so pretty.

"My name is Fushichou Kurai. I guess you are my new sensei sir", Kurai stated to the man, awaiting an introduction from him.

I hope the Five bring her this way so she talks to me.. but what will I say. I've never had a funny feeling like this before. It's like sliding down the side of the mountain Iwagakure is located in. All my insides feel like they are shriveling up, but the hair on my body is standing. Come talk to me!! I surely cannot talk to her first. I'd die. Kurai chuckled to himself and stopped it abruptly.

I hope my new sensei doesn't think I am laughing at him!! He is on fire after all, that looks serious.

Kurai's face turned very serious in a matter of seconds.

"I am awaiting your instruction sensei. What would you have me do sir"?

[legend="Ninjutsu 101"]Chi listened to Tora as he answered her query. She watched him perform the jutsu which created a pseudo armor of flame on his person. He looked silly to Chi so she giggled, covering her mouth with her hands. The fire creation she had made mimicked her. She wanted to try it out, but at that moment a boy appeared. He was covered in the color red and Chi could have died she was so happy. She had never met someone with so much red on their person: Hair, eyes, and even clothes. She didn't share the feelings that she didn't know he was feeling for him, but you could say she was feeling those feelings for all the red on him.
"Hey there buddy!" she would yell as he approached. She was feeling particularly energetic at the moment. "Look at this guy, isn't he beautiful?" She turned around and looked at the fire beast, noticing that it was moving now. She forgot all about the teacher and the boy and began making the creature dance. She was enjoying herself for a few seconds, but then she realized she didn't know what to do next.
"Tora-sensei, what now? What's next? I can't wait 'til I'm a big strong Shinobi, able to do these kinds of jutsu by myself. She would smile and look up at Tora waiting for a reply on what was left in the class.[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC:129"][/legend]

Tora sighed a bit as he canceled the jutsu, it was stereotypical not to understand the minds of students as the young girl covered her mouth to stifle her giggling fit. It didn’t bother him too much until he noticed the Absymal Harbringer was following or mimicking its creator. His eye twitched slightly but his thoughts were moved elsewhere as a young boy showed up and introduced himself straight forwardly and seemed to be waiting for instruction.

I wonder if Tonbo is just dumping everything on me. Tora thought to himself as the young girl asked what she should be doing as well.

”Hello Kurai-kun you can call Tora-sensei. Since Tonbu-sempai sent you out here to me I figure you have a marker of some sort. There are several earth based jutsu techniques to try out using the marker. You can think of which one’s you’d like to try out or I can tell you about various one’s that might interest you if you have a general idea only of what you’d like to do. As for Miss Chi…” he explained to the young boy Kurai before turning to Chi. Going through a few hand seals Wooden growths jutted from the ground a jumble of roots with a few leaves. Some almost looked human in fighting positions with the odd one kinda looking like someone shaking their rear at the trio if they had a hand on their hip. ”How about you try some target practice and figure out which techniques are good at long range, short range, and which ones are good for multiple targets versus a single target. Once you’re up to sped Kurai-kun we’ll add a few more targets for you as well. That way you can see how your attacks with your current element work and compare to the other to spot the differences of how your attacks work and how they vary in style and tactics.”

(OoC: @Kurai: Feel free to ask about which jutsu you’d like to try out from the shop or just ask general questions such as ‘Which earth jutsu are good for melee attacks?’ @Chi You’ll have about 25 targets in various formations, some are in small groups while others are farther away and singular in the area.)

Hmm twenty five targets, I wonder if she's pretty and skillful? What a woman

Kurai dropped the marker to the ground. He looked at Chi then back at Tora.

"Sensei with all due respect, I do not need an item in hand to perform jutsu. I plan on becoming raw power and having all my strength come from within".

Kurai stood in an offensive stance. He began to gather chakra into the palm of his left hand. A small gust of wind formed around Kurai's hand as he completed the necessary hand seals to perform his Pressure Burst jutsu. The three were standing somewhat of a distance away from a few of the targets. Kurai would lock eyes with one of the targets standing in an offensive position.

Your soul is mine wood

Before Chi could react towards the newly formed targets; "Ahhhh!!!!!!!!", he yelled.

With all of his might, Kurai lifted then threw his hind foot in front of him as he threw the small blast of wind from out of his palm like a baseball. His hind leg landed on it's heel, bounced up once, then landed flat footed. The speedy wind chakra ball flew through the air. It was pitched somewhat low. Kurai had practiced this jutsu before and learned it's effects on the human body.

Plckshhh! Shhhll!

The ball had met the center of the belly of the wooden target Kurai had aimed for. The accuracy behind his throw would've, if in real combat, knocked the air out of the enemy target. It did not completely break the wooden target in half but was a direct on hit. The ball swiveled and swaveled, digging further and further into the target. Then after what must've been a second or two of the jutsu making contact with it's target, the ball exploded. It released a small gust of wind as it did so. The explosion left an imprint of a small impact crater in the wooden target.

"If you look under the hit target, there should be loosened ground where it's feet would be", Kurai stated, breathing somewhat heavily, now once again standing in an offensive formation.

That was so cool! I can't believe it worked out so well. My accuracy has really improved greatly!

Kurai let go of his offensive stance and stood normally.

"What can you do without help", he said to his peer as he turned and faced Chi.

[legend="Ninjutsu 101"]The boy was definitely trying to show off to Chi, even she could tell that. The sensei created wooden targets for her and, in order for him to show off what he already knew, he used one of them for a jutsu of his own. She was not very happy about it either, meaning that it had the opposite effect on her that he had probably intended. She could only watch as he made his move, not having even enough time to say a word to him.
"You doof!" She would yell after he had finished with his little stunt. "Didn't you listen to Tora-sensei? He created them for me to use while you tried out your marker a bit. This is a class, you're supposed to be learning. You're not here to show off, the whole point of the markers is to try out jutsu that we'll be able to use one day and learn about them." She would walk over to his dropped marker and toss it through the air for him to catch it.
"Watch." She had gotten slightly serious, but that faded when she started preparing her first jutsu for the targets. Once the handseals were finished she took a deep breath and let loose a Dragon Flame Bomb jutsu, and she watched the dragon blast towards a target. The dragon hit it dead on and then came around to hit another one before she had to end the jutsu so she could take a breathe. Next she quickly let loose the Scalding Ash Cloud jutsu to hit two targets at the same time, she didn't give it much time on the field before she ignited it and laughed as it exploded. Then she looked at the boy with a smile that quickly turned into a frown when she remembered that she wasn't happy with him.
"Now, take the marker and try out some jutsu and let Tora-sensei teach you... Ya doof"[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC:326|MFT"][/legend]

Tora nodded to Kurai’s response to wanting to use his own power to do things. Although he was teaching the basics how one used the knowledge they learned and why was really up to the students. As the boy targeted a wood clone and attacked Tora was about to comment when Chi seemed to get agitated by the whole ordeal.

He jerked back a hand he was about to put between the two when she called him a name before going into a scolding of the boy.

She did seem to understand the point of having a marker since it let people attempt jutsu far outside their range currently.

She attempted several jutsu in succession before picking up the marker and tossing it to the boy and recommending to the boy to do as she was doing.

”Now now, Miss Chi while I thank you for the enthusiasm everyone learns differently while this class currently is to show you the depths of how far one can take the basic elements doing things one can do repeatedly to make it second nature is another way to learn as well. We learn the little things differently and it affects the big picture that we see.” Tora stated trying to keep the peace. He’d look toward Kurai and shrugged a goofy smile on his face, ”Maybe you can help him Miss Chi, this is all new to him as well so maybe he’s a bit nervous on what he should be doing and how…” he offered.

He’d hope the two would get along and he hadn’t just suggested in Chi’s mind to start bossing the boy around.

Meanwhile in the classroom Tonbo poured himself a cup of iced green tea and wiped his brow, seemed someone was cutting loose out there.

Kurai extended his left hand into the air and snatched the marker from the sky.

Show off!!! Grrr.... ahhh!!!!

Kurai made a face of disgust as he brought the marker down close to his body.

You want to see show off darling, watch

Kurai closed his eyes and faced his targets. He envisioned a group of five of the remaining targets that were clumped closer together. In his head he saw a way to utterly destroy five enemies who were in front of him. He would trap them inside of a volcano and melt his pretend problems away. Kurai, with his eyes closed, took a deep breath and took an offensive formation. As his body was sculpted into fighting form, he opened his eyes. They were burning a much hotter red than normal and his pupils had gotten much bigger. Kurai firmly held the marker in his left hand which he joined with his right hand. His began to form hand seals. Kurai had never done these hand seals before, they seemed to flow fluently and without flaw. As he firmly held the marker, he could feel a large amount of chakra coming from it merging with his own and streaming through his body.

Bedrock Coffin!!!!!

Kurai without speak had raised his right hand in the air. Large slabs of the earth had raised up around the five clustered targets. The raised ground began a few feet outside the perimeter of the five targets and it converged together towards a single meeting point at the top of the wall. There was neither an entry nor an exit to the raised ground in the shape of a cone.

Kurai brought his right arm back to his front with haste. He quickly formed a few more hand seals that once again, he did not really know he even knew. Seconds later, the top of the cone exploded and a large pile of magma shot into the sky. The magma was a slight bit different from the sight of regular magma, it was a bright, light, hot colored red and orange. The sight was quite extravagant.

Bedrock Coffin and Magma Strike Jutsus.. what a lovely combination

As the magma fell back to the ground it began to slowly dissipate back into the earth and the raised ground sunk back into place, Kurai once again closed his eyes in his offensive stance. He slowly changed his form back into standing straight up. He opened his eyes and took a deep breath.

As the Bedrock Coffin Jutsu had faded away, so had the wooden targets. Kurai's volcanic trap had reduced the five targets to ash and they no longer were existent.

"A man-made volcano. That's me showing off", he stated happily with a smile on his face as he turned and faced Chi.

Hmph, hardly. When I get where I want. Every action I make will be considered "showing off" by everybody. Nobody will have ever seen what I am getting ready to bring to the table

Kurai firmly gripped the marker in hand and looked back at his sensei.

"This marker is quite amazing Tora-Sama".

He turned back to Chi.

"Your turn", he stated with a small scent of laughter in his voice.

OoC: All though unable to perform these Jutsu on his own, one of Kurai's passions is reading, he spends time in the library, and he has basic knowledge of the name of some earth styled jutsu and what they can do along with a few of the hand seals.

[legend="Ninjutsu 101"]Though Kurai was upset by Chi's actions, she had no feelings towards his. In fact, she wasn't paying attention to his attempt at 1-uping her. She was more focused on Tora, trying to ignore Kurai either on purpose or just because she gets distracted easily. Her bi-polarity got the best of her with Kurai, but he didn't make the best first impression on her. He acted completely different than she had expected from seeing all the red on him. Even with that she couldn't make the connection to there being no connection between colors and a person's personality.
"Tora-sensei," Chi would begin, once he was finished talking of course. "I think he needs professional help that I can't give him." It was ironic because she was the one who needed professional help, she just didn't know it. Her parents thought they were giving her professional help by sending her to the academy early, but they weren't helping her in any way or form. Just giving her more of a chance to make bad judgment calls on people based on the color of their clothes. "What else do you have to teach me? I think I've showed my… Uh, proficient skills!" She turned quickly and shot the Big bang shot jutsu at a group of targets and watched it explode.
"That was cool." She smiled at the explosion. She's going to grow up to be a destructive woman…[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC:237"][/legend]

Tora watched as the two didn’t seem to warm up to each other as students but they didn’t seem to be squabbling as much. Tora smirked slightly about the comment about the marker, ”I guess but I should probably let you two know you’ll sleep like the dead tonight and be somewhat sore in the morning probably since you’re chakra systems are not use to this kind of output yet. Nothing permanent though.” he’s explain before Kurai put out a challenge to Chi.

Tora thought about Chi’s demonstration as the dust settle from the backblow of the attack and thoughts on what else she could learn, ”Well first let me know what you’ve learned from using the fire release jutsu? After that if you like I can tell you abit about some advance elements that have some of the attributes of Fire such as Lava, Explosion, Plasma, and the Scorch Element.” he’d ask her before looking to Kurai, ”You can try out a few more if you like or figure out what you can tell me about Earth based techniques from using them just now.”

[legend="Ninjutsu 101"]She listened as Tora explained that they would be sore in the morning, not having thought of that beforehand. She thought it was a good idea to stop using the jutsu from the marker so not to wipe herself out too much. She was ignoring the other boy, not necessarily intentionally but she was really focused on finishing the class so she could go home and practice by herself (maybe show her parents).
"Fire is a beautiful element, and is very destructive. My buddy told me that when I first realized I wanted to use fire jutsu, which was actually when I first met him." She told Tora as the start of what she had learned. "I imagine fire jutsu can be used to hit multiple targets more often, and it definitely burns. If you burn someone wouldn't jutsus hurt them more for a little longer?" She put a finger on her bottom lip and looked down at the ground. "The more advanced elements are jutsu I'll be able to use as I grow stronger in certain elements, those examples being for fire. My father uses Lava Jutsu, while my mom is a user of poison jutsu. There a lot of different advanced elements, though, from what my parents say… I think I'll save the advanced elements for later, my buddy Iori is going to teach me more about them!" Chi would grow another smile and clasp her hands behind her back.
"So, is that all, Sensei? I need to go meet some people in a little bit, but I don't want to leave if there's something important that I'll need."[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC:271"][/legend]

Tora nodded and smiled at the young girl. ”Well for a young lady new to the academy you seem to have a pretty good grasp on what you’d like to learn and how it all works for Fire based ninjutsu. You’ve got a pass from me, go back to the class and let Tonbo-sempai know you’re done out here. He’ll want the marker back so he can encode it for the next class probably. Nice meeting you Miss Chi, I hope to hear good news that you’re ready to graduating soon. But if you like you can stop by the Teacher’s lounge if you’d like to talk for a bit about anything ninjutsu related. Have a good afternoon.” he’s explain with a slight nod of his head. With a few hand signs Chi would see the man create a miniature version of the Abysmal Habringer a small blackened ball on fire about the size of a grapefruit that floated along with unblinking eyes. ”Follow him back to class if you don’t know the way.”

”Now as for Kurai-kun.” he would say once she left rolling up his sleeves, "Lets see what you got."

With one student left he’d focus on seeing to the boy's lesson solely.

Her friend.. him... he will... ughh!!! That sucks

Kurai felt somewhat down on the inside but did not emit any negative energy from his body language. He watched as his peer took her leave.

Hmm... what I've got?? Is he challenging me to a sparring match? That'd be so much fun!!

"Jsem připraven na jakékoliv Tora-sensei. Jsem si dobře vědom Advanced Elements. Použil jsem Lava jutsu právě smíchané se základním země stylu jutsu vytvořit svůj sopku. Mimochodem sensei, mluvíte staročeských, jako jsem já?", Kurai stated in Ancient Bohemian. "Můžeš mi dát živé cíle nebo alespoň pohyblivých cílů do praxe na mistra?"

Kurai held the marker tightly in his left hand and then raised it in the air. A large, stone slab raised itself out of the ground and in front of Kurai.

"If you didn't understand me, I'd like moving targets. Targets that will fight back. Let's kick things up a notch!", the boy exclaimed to Tora-Sensei.

[legend="Ninjutsu 101"]Chi was glad to hear Tora's words of encouragement. She was happy to hear it because she knew she wouldn't do as well in her other classes. She knew a lot about Ninjutsu but only the basics of Taijutsu and Genjutsu. Her family was primarily comprised of Ninjutsu users, as she planned to become. She would give a nod as Tora finished speaking and watched him created the dark ball of fire. She would be filled with glee, following the ball back to the class whether she could get there on her own or not.
"Thank you sensei, I'll make you proud! Oh, and bye doof!" She would yell as she chased after the ball.[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC:115|Topic left"][/legend]

Tora waved at Chi as she left and sighed a bit, it seemed these two just wouldn't seem to get along anytime soon.

Tora blinked a few times as he looked at the boy as he first spoke.

Well he’s young I guess a bit is lost in translation. he thought to himself.

Tora thought for a bit and shrugs looking at the remaining wooden targets. Performing several seals those still in a state that they could take an attack floated a bit before slowly moving on set patterns it seemed. As he exhaled his breath took on the shape of a copy of himself gliding down to stand next to him. His copy’s clothes seem to be in a constant state of being pushed around.

”Although the marker allows you to attempt jutsu that are a bit over your limit I think me pulling out multiple copies to attack you is a bit overkill. So I’ll use one and he’s going to try and steal your marker through the wooden statues moving around which will remain moving for five minutes. That’s the clone’s time limit to get the marker, you just have to get one hit on him in or defend till the time runs out. I’d suggest both, he might be a copy but it’s not going to be easy.” Tora explained to see he clone looking at him a half frown on his face. Tora just shrugged as the wooden statues started to pick up speed a bit.

”Whenever you’re ready.” he explained to look at his clone who was already moving through the statues and circling the boy. Tora found a place to watch from.

I can see why Tonbo does things this way he thought to himself as he eased himself down to the ground to watch.

(OoC: Wooden targets moving through Gravity techniques, one Wind Elemental Clone type is looking to pick pocket.)
