Hey there! We've got a couple of things going out that...probably a lot of you are going to want to pay attention to.
First and foremost: the Elemental Affinity System Rules have been heavily updated. The first new bullet isn't technically new, merely restored from the original rules, but the rest is. The additions are spoilered below.
Secondly, if you have previously gained an Advanced Element via a Major that was gained from a Minor from the ASP shop or a Kinjutsu + half of the base element's jutsu mastered, then you have two options.
1. You may have all of that Advanced Elements jutsu refunded in full, training points and yen. OR
2. You may Major that Base Element normally, via Mastering the rest of the jutsu in it. Until you do, you will not be able to use Advanced Elements with it as a Major.
If you wish to request the refund, please do it in your training thread.
Finally, there has been an update to the Element List. Non-Elemental has been added to the list of Base Elements, as there was some confusion over whether it counted as one fully, and a note has been added clarifying the status of ANBU and Medical jutsu. Specifically,
Meaning that you are capable of majoring and minoring Medical and ANBU on their own. This was previously true, but there was frequent confusion about it, so it has been added to the rules.
As usual with such things, councils, please update the Advanced Element Rules in your sections. That should be everything for now.
Cheers!

First and foremost: the Elemental Affinity System Rules have been heavily updated. The first new bullet isn't technically new, merely restored from the original rules, but the rest is. The additions are spoilered below.
- Upon unlocking an Advanced Element you automatically may use Minor Affinity Moves in it. Upon mastering half the Jutsu in that Adv. Element, you may use Major Affinity moves in that element. Affinity moves and their uses are listed here.
This does not apply to BL/CA free affinities such as Haku and Ice; they only gain access to their element and -cannot- use affinity moves until mastering half (For Minor Affinity moves), or fully (for Major Affinity moves).
-If you have a Minor in an element through some means such as the ASP shop or a Kinjutsu, mastering half of the jutsu in that element does not grant you a Major. The only free Minors that become a Major this way are the ones gained through unlocking an Advanced Element in your Dojo (as listed above), and the single free Minor received at C-Rank by every player.
-If you have gained an Advanced Element through a Bloodline, Core Ability, or Kinjutsu such as Ice for a Haku, and then drop that Bloodline, Core Ability, or Kinjutsu you lose the affinity. You can no longer use that Advanced Element's jutsu unless you gain access to the element by having the appropriate Major and Minor and unlocking it normally. For example, if you drop Haku you may no longer use Ice jutsu unless you Major Water, Minor Wind, and unlock it in your Dojo.
This does not apply to BL/CA free affinities such as Haku and Ice; they only gain access to their element and -cannot- use affinity moves until mastering half (For Minor Affinity moves), or fully (for Major Affinity moves).
Example said:Ryoma unlocks Crystal Element. He may use Minor Affinity moves with Crystal Jutsu, and once he masters half the Crystal Jutsu he may use Major Affinity moves.
- Ryoma has the Sunaku Bl. He automatically has access to the Sand Element. He cannot use Minor Affinity moves with Sand Jutsu until mastering half the Sand Jutsu. He cannot use Major Affinity moves until mastering -all- the Sand Jutsu.

Note: While Medical and ANBU jutsu do not factor into Advanced Elements, you may Minor them by mastering half of their jutsu (7) and Major them by mastering all of them (14), allowing you to perform the relevant Affinity Moves with them. Medical and ANBU are considered their own separate elements and are not part of Non-Elemental, despite their placement in the info section.
Meaning that you are capable of majoring and minoring Medical and ANBU on their own. This was previously true, but there was frequent confusion about it, so it has been added to the rules.
As usual with such things, councils, please update the Advanced Element Rules in your sections. That should be everything for now.
