Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Clarity in service. She believed that. The only notion that kept her hanging on, even though it was clear she belonged elsewhere. To put it simply, she was never meant to be a ruler. A leader, yes. Raikage was a position altogether different and as the days passed, she realized she no longer desired such a life. She only wished to serve.

The sins of her past left Haruka undeserving. She'd never admit such a notion to anyone though. In the end she'd let them all believe she cracked under the pressure. The pressure of failing to save her Raikage. The guilt of slaying her only beloved. The sin of breaking her cousin's reputation for the sake of saving the village. In the end, the masses would believe what they want.

Shima Haruka, a champion of the people, was never meant to be. Not in this era. She was not unloved, but she certainly wasn't needed. The common people loved her for her sense of justice and charity to them, but it wasn't enough to carry her onward. Her political power lacked. Raikageship took her away from the service she desired. She didn't want any of this. She wanted it to go back to the way things were. She only wanted to serve.

Sadly, she knew the people who would take charge after her. It was hard to accept servitude under them. But all rule of men would pass. So long as men died, there was always hope. Humans, such fragile creatures, could not grip onto lasting power.

She decided to resign, as a fragile human would. To disappear for a while. To think on what would become of Shima Haruka next. She was rather young after all. She had a bright and quiet career ahead of her. She just was not meant to be their Raikage. Even if she wanted it with all of her heart. A misplaced piece of a puzzle couldn't be forced into the picture it didn't belong to. She had been forcing her way for far too long. It was time to step away and let herself be taken wherever.

Perhaps she'd return to Roenesia. Or maybe even serve in the Shogun's court for a time. She needed to go far away. Her home had become a nightmarish prison. The jounin never wanted to learn to hate her home. The best way to rediscover that love was to distance herself for a while. Scars needed to heal. Sadness would end. Then she would know home once more.

She thought of those she'd leave behind. One day they'd understand, even if she'd be the object of their resentment for years to come. One day she'd come home. Until then, Kumogakure moved forward. The torch passed to the next. An ember of hope, never to be extinguished by even the deadliest of colds.
