No Tolerance for Traitors [B-Rank ANBU Mission]

The briefing was fast and blunt, much like the ANBU themselves. Shin was to travel to Raiden's Eye in search of a Chuunin who hadn't returned from a mission. The mission itself had been to escort a merchant caravan to the capitol. Reports say that the young man was successful in his mission, so there are only two possible reasons for his failure to return. He either got kidnapped, or has gone missing. Whichever is the case, the turned to Kurogane Shin to retrieve the lad.

Unfortunately the picture of the young man was blurry for some reason, and no one had a Snapshot of the lad in question. But Shin could see the obvious traits of an Uchiha. The young man had black hair with a hint of a blue hue to it. His eyes were a bright red in the image, giving further proof of his bloodline. Lastly, Shin was given a name, and it sealed the deal, Uchiha Shinku.

With the information granted him, Shin would have but an hour to prepare before he would be sent off on his mission. He would have to make it to Raiden's Eye alone, and preferably unnoticed. As was the way of the ANBU. It would take him a few days travel. How would he go about it?

Shin's Actions:
Left Kumogakure Gates and activated [E-Rank] Transformation - Master Rank to hide his features. He still is wearing his mask, however it appears as someone else face for the transformation. Shin will attempt to avoid people on the road towards Raiden's Eye to the best of his ability and try to reach the capital as quick as possible.

One hour prior...​

Shin replayed the image within his head, his hands tightening his gloves as he prepared his self for his trip. His first mission, and thankful the Intel wasn't as bad as he was expecting. He knew the Chuunin's name and his general appearance, all he had to do was locate the boy and deliver justice. No...I have to at-least attempt to bring him in alive, AWOL or not, the village demands an explanation. For what was know the Chuunin's mission had been completed, so it was possible that he could have been injuried and captured, which would make this mission much harder than what he was expecting. However, even if that wasn't the case, Shin didn't want to scare over the Chuunin before he had all the details. After making sure he was prepared for the trip, his began placing on his armor on, making sure that his was secure under his clothing before pulling his mask down over his head. He had to have some subterfuge for this mission, but he would deal with that prior to his arrival to De Cevitate Attonbitus. It took him a few moments to reach Kumogakure's gates, making sure his authorization was clear, before exiting them. He made sure to walk briskly, keeping an eye out for the gate closing before he began casting a jutsu onto himself.

Within a few second his appearance had changed to a small degree, making sure that he keep his curly hair the same color, however he no longer had his mask placed onto his face and he appear slightly older with a rugged look to his face. As long as no one was looking at his face for a long time, the transformation would work. Now all was need was to find away to Raiden's Eye.

Though Shin's transformation worked, and no one was aware of who he really was, he made himself too damn sexy. As he traveled, he could not avoid the gaze of women and men alike. After a time, he found himself gathering a following of women and young girls, who found his scarred, rugged features to be the epitome of manly handsomeness. By the time he reached the capitol, he had quite the following. There were a total of five fangirls, two middle-aged women, two teens, and one elder woman who was probably too frisky for her own good. It was time for his mission to truly begin, but how would he go about it?

Apparently every girl goes crazy for a rugged, older man.

-Alright, time to pm what you wish to do. *Note that you may do multiple actions depending on the situation. Ex: If you'd like to attempt to ditch your entourage, you can do that, and then say how you want to find your target.

Shin's Actions:

So far the mission was going well, Shin had not meet any danger on the road and his transformation had lucky prevent anyone from learning his true identity. Unfortunately his appearance had drawn the attention of a small crowd of woman, something that he hadn't planned for. Most men would have found it both flattering and slightly awkward. To Shin, he found it was an opportunity. This Attraction they have to this transformation could be used in my favor, it would help to have extra eyes help locate Uchiha Shinku. If they not willing, I can easily give them the slip and locate him eventually. He would keep walking until he would be able to find a small enough crowd that would allow him to get away if need be. Once he reached that area he would turn and address the woman, making sure to put on the emotion of brotherly concern when speaking of Shinku.

"Could you ladies help me? I've searching for my sibling, Uchiha Shinku. I'm sure beautiful woman such as yourself are rather busy, but I would be very grateful to the one who could find him." Shin stopped for a moment flashing a charming smile. Depending on their help or not he was ready to escape on a moments noticed, several plans running through the young trainee's mind. Only time would tell of successful they would be.

Shin smile as the two teenagers, eager to help the charming man sprint off in search of the Uchiha. Looks like hormones are good for something I suppose. The three remaining woman however stayed behind, all of them looking at him. Before he could respond, one of them spoke, causing they other two to look at her each of them said their peace.

"I think we have a better chance at finding your brother if we stay together. Your the only who knows what he truly looks like, so it be best if we stuck by you."

"I agree, we have to best chance of finding him with you."

"Cutie, don't you think four sets of eyes are better than just one?"


The fact that the old lady was the one that responded with the cutie remark was all the hint Shin needed, as he offered a small smile before sprinting away from the shocked woman. He turned his head, slightly, noticing that the older woman was unable to keep up with his speed, the shock of the turn of events along with her age making it easy to escape her. They other two however seemed as if they were trying to keep, which Shin was prepared for. These woman had doubts about hte authenticity of his story, which he had already been planning for in the beginning. He used the small crowd of people to find a small statue to replace himself with before quickly running though hand-signs to create a Mud Clone of himself. The clone had would appear to look like his transformation and was made to run off in the opposite direction. He waited for a moment before he spotted the woman, however it seemed his gap in distance had caused them to spot his clone rather than him and they began pursuing it. What a shock they would have once they caught the clone.

Now that he could work without the distraction of would be fan girls, he began using his abilities as a tracker and sensors to work. Uchiha Shinku had to be in this city somewhere and he wanted to get this work done before having to deal with other person be attacked to his transformation. He closed his eyes as he activated his Demonic Aura, the presence of evil quickly covering him. It would allow him to not to worry about getting caught in a Genjutsu as well as causing people to back off while he searched. He began searching for a while, though the large city offered no clues to the targets locations. The paved roads and buildings provided no traces of a single person, making it difficult to know which marking belonged to who. It sensoring also turned up nothing, causing Shin to frown under his mask.

He's not outside, which could explain why I can't find his chakra. Looks like I have to wide my awareness. Shin closed his eyes age, his Third Eye activating as he attempted to find clues to the mans location. As he could searching with eyes back opened he found his Third Eye alerting him of the market place, causing the trainee to pause. He could see the crowds of people, along with the stalls, traders trying to making quick sell with a some of the tourist viewing their wares. He also spotted some stores that sold a plethora of things, cafes, restaurants, and two inns. He's in there, I don't know how I'm sure, but I am. Shin began walking towards to location however he stopped as he began noticing how long of a location the place was. Also there was the fact of his demonic aura causing people passing him to quicken their pace, trying to avoid the shinobi like the plague. I think I'll come back to this area once I gotten some information for my sources.

He didn't want Shinku to be on to him, and people that seemed to be avoiding a single entity would be a clear hint that something was off. He turned and began walking towards the hunting grounds, ignoring the why the people were avoiding him. It took him a few minutes but he was able to find the location, causing him to deactivate his aura and wait for the teenagers to find him.

Shin didn't have to wait long before the two teens returned. The girls trotted together, bright smiles on their faces. Now that he had them alone though, Shin could tell there was something off about them. He could sense it, they were using jutsu. Of course this would cause the ANBU to become more alert as they approached. One of the girls flung her arms up in the air. "We fouuuuund him!" The other one tilted her head. "He's just sipping coffee in a cafe." The hyper one spoke again, her head darting back and forth. "He was doing one of these. Like he was worried someone was going to jump him at any time." The calm girl frowned. "He may have caught sight of us, since he had those shiny red eyes. That's the trademark Sharingan of the Uchiha right? We were thinking of trying to bring him here..." The peppy girl chimed in. "But he looked like he'd bolt if anyone so much as blinked at him. What did you do? Kill your guys' clan but not tell him why and now he hates you and wants revenge and eventually he'll get it but find out too late that you actually did love him and he will want to kill other people for dumb reasons?" It was rather amazing that the girl pulled that off in one breath. The other girl nudged the hyper one. "No way. That would be a dumb plot. The only way it could be worse is if the younger brother had a girl that was devoted to him despite the fact he treats her like garbage." They giggled.

Realizing that they'd derailed the topic, the girls returned to the original subject matter. The overexcited girl jumped. "If you'd like, we can lead you to him." The other placed a finger to her chin. "Or I suppose we could just tell you the name of the cafe." They looked at Shin and spoke together. "It's up to you."

The moment he caught sight with them, Shin felt something was off. As he listened to them, he realized why. They were using jutsu, and he wasn't sure why, either way, that was something he wasn't expecting. Possible back up for the Uchiha? But why alert me of his location unless they plan on taking us both out. Could they be under some form of genjutsu? Though he was afraid of this new unknown alert he was began processing on how he could use this information. He was lucky he had stopped using his Demonic Aura, it could have tipped them off even more about himself realizing that fact they were using jutsu. Shin maintain a neutral expression though their entire conversation. He had to come to a decision soon, and he had to deal with these two if they were threats. While he wasn't against killing possible threats, he didn't need unnecessary causalities on his first mission. Better to have them with him and take them out if they were a problem to the mission.

"The name would won't help me much without a general idea of the location. Lead on ladies, I'll follow you. Faster we find my brother, the faster I we can do want you two want." Shin responded smiling warmly as he offer them to lead. He would make sure he was close enough so that they didn't believe he would be behind them, but father away that he could deal with them if required.

The girls gave enthusiastic nods. The calm one spoke. "Then off we go to Cafe LeBlanc." The girls chatted about insignificant things, mostly involving how cute the Uchiha had been and how hot the man behind them was. Shin would pick up on an interesting thing the hyper one said, that she attempted to say in a hushed tone. "Should we help out or not?" The other one shrugged in response.

Upon reaching their destination, they found that the Uchiha was simply standing outside the cafe, his Sharingan shining between his black bangs. He seemed a little shocked to see the three of them all approaching at once, but regained his composure quickly. The teenagers stopped a few feet away and looked to Shin to see how he planned to handle this. Without any doubt in his mind, Shin knew that this man before him was merely a clone. However, the clone spoke before action could be taken. "Meet me in the park. I'll be waiting." The clone disappeared, leaving a small cloud of smoke to billow away in the breeze.

The girls pointed in the direction of the park. "That way leads to the park." Following their fingers with his eyes, Shin's Sensor ability allowed him to confirm that the Uchiha had indeed made his way that direction. However, whether the young man was still there when he arrived could only be determined by heading that way himself. The teenage girls huddled together, as if they were discussing something. Shin wasn't ANBU for nothing, and he could hear snippets of their whispers. "Do... think...use the help?" "We have ...to do." "But...Sharingan...overpowered." "He...sent...reason." Finally the whispering ceased and the girls turned towards Shin. "Sorry, but we've got other things we have to do. If you have a headset, use frequency MZ-89 and give us a shout if you think you need us. We shinobi need to stick together, right?" With bright smiles and great waves, the girls trotted off, away from the park.

Now Shin was left to decide how he would proceed.

So the Uchiha had been expect a someone, just not the trainee. Shin keep a calm face as he nod towards the clone prior to it vanishing in a puff of smoke. The AWOL chuunin wasn't the only thing that caught his attention. His training as an ANBU had allowed him to pick up on some of girls whispers, clear indicating that they weren't regular civilians at all. Seems like we're both after the same person, I wonder what else the boy did to caught the eerie of another group of shinobi. He waited for the hushed whispers to stop before the hyper one addressed him. They were both apparently leaving to do something else, but request that he use a specific frequency to contact them if he needed help. He didn't and wouldn't. This was someone from his village, and until he knew where their allegiances lied, he wasn't getting any more help from foreign shinobi.

"If it comes to that."

Watching as the left, Shin began turning in the direction of the park, his hands cracking slightly as he revealed the tension from them. Uchiha Shinku had better have a dam good explanation of missing his check-in, because if the trainee wasn't satisfied he would be dragging the former shinobi by his ankles back to the village. He could still be loyal to the village, and not assaulting the group when he saw them was one point in his favor. It would take a while before he got to his location, so he made sure to keep his eyes out on the way. He didn't need the man disappearing on him again.

Shin made his way to the park, keeping his eyes and ears peeled for any traps the Uchiha may have set. He ran across none, which meant either the Uchiha was sincere in wanting to meet Shin, or that the lad was inexperienced in traps. The ANBU-in-Training stepped upon the grass, and finally reached his target. Shinku was in front of a tree, his back turned to Shin. He was mumbling to himself, but the two were too far away for Shin to make anything out. The Uchiha turned and looked at his tracker, and he gave a smile. "Brother is it? I heard some old woman say something like that. Though the hair looks pretty close, those eyes aren't quite right, are they?" His red eyes appeared to sheen, but Shin felt nothing, so he remained passive. The tracker asked the Uchiha why he had not returned, and the boy's smile broadened. However, it wasn't the smile that would catch Shin's eye, but the way the lad's eyes seemed to flash with crazy. "Why, because the voice told me not to."

He held up his arms to the sky. "I've been hearing it for so long now. A voice telling me what a horrible place that shitty village is. You get it too, right? They pay us peanuts as a way to keep our leashes tight. They force us to rely on them so even if we want to get away, we can't. If they could, they'd probably just rip out my eyes and throw me to the curb. Give 'em to some other worthless kid who thinks he's hot stuff 'cause he can blow fire out of his mouth. We are forced to maim, to kill, to pacify people we don't even know, just so we can survive." His arms fell parallel with the ground and he spread them out, looking back and forth. "And look was happens if you don't return for a few days? They send out their masked puppets to take us back or kill us." He stared into Shin's eyes. "Do you hear the voice now? Do you hear it tugging at your heart? It will tell you the truth, it will set you free, like me."

Shin did hear something, and despite his attempts to suppress his emotions, he felt a rise of passion in his heart. It was like something was urging him to understand the Uchiha before him. A quiet whisper, on the edge of his hearing, echoed in his mind. "They will break you." Shin focused on his target, running through all the possible jutsu the boy could be using to cause this effect. However, it was obvious that this wasn't coming from Shinku. It didn't seem to be coming from anywhere except himself. The black-haired youth held out his hand to Shin. "You hear it now, yes? Come with me. Let's get out of here. They can't stop us both. We'll take up different identities, make something of ourselves. We can do so much more than fight you know. Without the village and its corrupt leaders holding us down, the sky's the limit." Shin would have to decide.

Shin looked at the Uchiha for a moment, his eye glances down at the offered hand. He had heard the voice, same as the boy, and maybe a part of him felt that way. The part of him that had been a boy whose heart was steel by his father training. Giving up even the since of family to join the ANBU, losing an identify and becoming a shadow. How..cliche. Regards if this was a jutsu or not, Shin had made his decisions, he knew where his loyalty lied. He was a walking corpse, the blood of demons in his vein and ice in his heart. His eyes betrayed no disgust at the boy decision, they were simply empty of anything. No...that not true. He no longer saw Shinku as anything more than a threat that need to be taken down. He would not kill him..no that was not what traitors such as he would received. The transformation ended, and the masked trainee stood looking at the fallen chuunin. This would not be ending well for the boy.

"No."

Before the words even begun to leave his lips, he was already casting his jutsu.[C-Rank] Mental Infiltration - Mastered] No hand signs were made nor movement, because his assault would not be a physical one, but one of the mind. If this was the true Uchiha Shinku, then his attack should hit. Regards if it did or did not, he would attempt to make distance before planning his next attack, which meant he need to disappear for a few moments.[C-Rank] Active Cameo - Mastered]. He would not kill the boy, but his punishment would not be a light one.

The Uchiha frowned at Shin's quick decline. The lad became fully aware of his situation when Shin dropped out of his transformation. This was going to escalate into a fight. He watched the ANBU closely, knowing that sneaky people do sneaky things to start. He would not be taken off guard. Shinku saw his opponent's body shift, if only in the very slightest. The red-eyed boy only caught it because they were both so still. He wasn't sure what Shin was doing, but he dodged to his left after Shin's body tensed. The Uchiha's face grew grave. "I knew it. If I had not brought us to this park, you would have been perfectly fine attacking within the crowds of innocents. I will not let a monster like you live!"

Here are some quick comments and rules before we begin:

-I have asked Tama to assist me. She will be posting as soon as she can asking for information and your first round of actions.

-Battles commonly start fresh, which is exactly what I'm doing. Your Mental Infiltration was dodged, and if you want Combat Armor to be active, you will have to include it in your actions.

-The rules for Mental Infiltration state that you can only use it once a round. I am going to allow you to use it again if you wish since it went off before the battle started (and I just auto-dodged it like a jerk)

-I'm not sure if you've ever read through a battle, but here is how this will go:
1) Tama will post asking for information and your first actions. (I'm not sure if people are supposed to do the "Actions Sent" post on the first round, but I'm going to skip it this time)
2) Tama will post the battle results of our first round.
3) Write out a post giving your own rp flair on how things went. Before you post, send your actions to Tama, then at the bottom of the rp, say something like "Actions Sent" and post it. (I will do the same either before or after you)
4) Rinse and repeat until someone dies/goes unconscious/runs away.

And their battle had began, the Uchiha having been the one to make the first move. Shin felted his demonic aura flare up, yet it seemed to cause one problem for his adversary. He looked as the boy cast a jutsu, though his Ancient Order should to reduce it no problem. He saw the boys eyes shifting, giving him a clear sign that he was doing something with his sharrigan. This might be a problem. He raise his hand towards the boy, feeling a surge of dark energy forming at the area he was point. However, it seemed that his Gravition was too slow, or the boy was to fast. Either way the attack missed. He clicked his teeth underneath his mask as he allowed his chakra to heat his skin. The trainee knees lowered slightly as he moved forward, attempting to close the distance between the two.

However, it seemed as though this would be a ranged battle, as the Uchiha wasted no time in releasing three embers at him. He began moving his body accordingly, but he was slow against the final ember, the flames striking his skin. It was rather a rather weak attack, so at most it caused him a slight irritation. Getting the first hit off would be a confidence boost to traitor, something that could either work with or against him. He began casting another jutsu, causing water to form at the feet of his opponent. But yet again, his attack failed to land a single hit on him. He didn't get a chance to land another blow, as the boy close the distance between them to release some a blast of heat directly at him. Shin gaze at this point was not longer mild irritation but fully lethal. He raised his hand, charging his chakra into a bolt of lighting before he strike the boy with it. Though his opponent hadn't done much damage towards him, the fact that he had manage but a single attack to land caused him to momentarily forget about bring the boy back alive. He said nothing as he next assault was already being planned.

Shinku's eyes gleamed, his crimson sharingan ready to see all. However, the lad knew all too well what the ANBU were known for, and he decided to take a precaution. With a few quick seals, the Uchiha summoned a Crystal Eye. However, he felt like the attack was weaker. It was probably something that damn ANBU did. Pushing the thought away, Shinku drew his attention back to the battle. With this eyes honed in on Shin, it was going to be difficult for the ANBU to land much. The Uchiha saw his opponent summoning some sort of dark power, and he dodged away. Whatever that was, Shinku wanted nothing to do with it.

Shinku stared intently at Shin before doing hand seals for a simple Infernal Ember. Even the weakest of jutsu can help a shinobi prevail, at least that's what a teacher said to him once...or maybe it was the voice, he wasn't really sure. Either way, it was Shinku who claimed the first hit of their battle, and he smirked in response. "So much for that ANBU training, huh? Is the voice laughing at you? I bet it's laughing at you. Things were looking go for either of them at this point it seemed. Yes the Uchiha had managed to land more hits on Shin, however it mattered very little we both were starting to bleed. Form the blows of fire and shuirken that had strike him, Shin blood had cooled itself. The boy eyes seemed to be the biggest advantage that Shinku had over the trainee, something that was quickly becoming apparent to him. Though Shin health was currently lower than expected, he wasn't feeling threaten by the prospect of death, seem the longer this fight dragged out, he was becoming more adjusted to his opponent style. He just had to figure out what attack would bring the battle more into his favor.</COLOR>

Shin eyes narrowed a the hint of whispering from the voice. He knew he was psychological fine, yet it seemed that whatever voice the boy was hearing was beginning to be heard by him. A distraction that he could not avoid at such a crucial moment.

Shin paused for a moment. That was the problem, Shin wasn't attacking with someone with a plan, someone would assault was calculated and critical. He was treating Shinku like any regular foreign threat, rather than utilizing abilities that were designed against him. Shin hand hands brushed against his headset as he began turning to frequency MZ-89. It was time to level the playing field. His Clone noticed his actions and stepped up front of him.

He didn't have the luxury of explaining his plan, but know he knew what he need to do. Through his mask, he looked at Shinku before speaking two words.

Shinku glared at the ANBU, his eyes seeming to pierce the man's mask and seep into his soul. In a single blink, his eyes awakened further. His Mangekyou Sharingan would make Shin's life even more difficult. He spewed flames from his mouth again, but this time successfully burned his target. He smirked upon the victory before pulling out his large shuriken. It was the size of his torso, yet the young man was able to wield it with little effort. He produced a clone in hopes of confusing Shin, but the ANBU's eyes were too sharp. However, the Uchiha's eyes were just as keen, and Shin's clone was made obvious to him too. There was a slight pause before a burst of water shot from Shin's mouth. It hit the Uchiha with great force and sliced his arm and torso. He could feel his blood oozing from the wounds, and he grabbed his side with his hand. If it had made been focused on his arm, it might have been severed.

This distraction was not enough to stop the boy as he hopped away from clone's punch. He gave a huff. "Like I'd fall for that." His words came too soon and Shin took this opportunity to strike. Shinku's balance was a bit off from the clone's attempted assault, and Shin landed a blow to the lad's chest. The ANBU continued to strike in a chain, though he was only able to land a few kicks and punches. Howver, they were enough to get the Uchiha breathing heavy. He spit on the ground and snarled. "Oh yeah? My turn." He whipped his large shuriken into the air and it burst into seven. They rained down on Shin, and all but two hit their mark. Seeing that his opponent was bleeding along with him, Shinku gave a cackle. "Ahahaha! Having any regrets now?" He scoffed lightly as the man fiddled with his headset. "Realizing you can't take me alone? Like anyone will come to help you. You're nothing but a mindless puppet. You had your chance to be my friend, but you declined. Now you have no one. NO ONE!" His body shook, and he lowered his head. Shin had the feeling that that the Uchiha wasn't just referencing Shin. It was likely the boy had these feeling about himself as well.

Static came from Shin's headset before a familiar voice rang in his ear. "Roger that good buddy! We just finished up here, so we'll be there in a jiffy!" Though it had to be the hyperactive girl from earlier, her voice sounded deeper for some reason. Shin's reinforcements were coming, but he'd have to hold out a little longer before they got there. Regaining a hint of his composure, the Uchiha raised his head. His face was looking to be more and more sadistic as the battle proceeded. "Time to turn up the heat!"
