Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The night was dark and full of terrors.

Sixteen years confined to the same place had begun to draw hints of insanity on the boy. He was good at not being noticed… in fact, that was the only thing he was good at. Perhaps his gift would finally pay and aid him in his quest to see the wonders of the world. Kumori’s only dream was to make friends, but so far that dream had remained a dream. Perhaps though, just maybe in other places he would be able to find someone to talk to on equal grounds?

Tonight was the night. He had been the weirdest sixteen year old in Kumogakure, and tonight he would become the weirdest sixteen year old in Iwagakure.

He took his first step.
He took a second step.
So far… no one even looked at him.

He let out a deep breath. What’s the point of looking like a clown, full of tattoos, piercings, and a bunch of stitched patches all over his body, if no one was ever going to notice them?

“Bye-bye Kumogakure! Ill be back later.”

GOING MISSING --> Otsuki Kumori | B-Rank: 2 hours

"Going somewhere?" came a soft voice from atop the wall. It was Kitsune, a medical chief, called out to the gates to perform some basic healing on a guard that slipped and tumbled off the center guard tower. Surprisingly enough, he escaped with only minor injuries and a concussion. But the tattoed person sneaking about at the gate seemed to behave very unlike someone with a legit reason to leave. In fact, it could even be someone attempting to go AWOL.

Boido saw the shimmers of a boy running for gates. His body reacted in the most nature way possible. His figure stood at a massive eight feet in height. He could see the young ones muscles contract and constrict as he tries to flee from their humble gates. It was a dishonor. Boy. You best have a good explanation. It was a brash accusation, but you could never be to sure of young ones these days. Always trying to break procedure, always being stupid

Stepping into the moonlight, Junko held a rather blunt expression as he smoked an herbal cig. Noticing the rather odd kid attempting to leave, he decided to step in as kitsune and Kouin did as well. "Haru." Junko thought as he remembered his old friend from years ago. When he attempted to go missing, he was slaughtered at the gates. It would be a shame if something like that would happen again. So, maybe reason could be used instead.

“Are you an angel?”

Violet eyes wide open as he stares towards the top of the wall at the woman standing there. She was talking to him, there was no doubt about it seeing that there was no one else around. His heart was beating rapidly as his nerves began to rise. It had been a while since someone had spoken to him. He swallowed, the sound of saliva going down his throat almost drowning all the noise around him.

The crickets grew silent.

His heart beat faster... louder...

louder…
Louder…
LOUDER!

The wind, too, became silent.

“Boy. You best have a good explanation.” – said a second voice. It belonged to a massive man, the gravity of his gigantic frame began taking the air away from Kumori’s lungs as he tried to speak but couldn’t.

He waited.

Maybe if I don’t speak, he’ll leave. He was scared. So scared in fact, that it was taking all his strength of mind to stay still instead of darting away from the man.

Kitsune warped from the top of the wall, and in an instant, she stood before Kumori. ”Not in the least.” she replied and looked to the ANBU ”I’ve handled the injured guard, he might need to stay still for an hour or two, but after that he’ll be good to go.” Of course, after that status report had been made, Kitsunes attention shifted back to the little runner. ”Now then, boyo. You better have a good explanation for your attempted fleeing attempt. The outcome of this chat will determine your future status in Kumogakure. You better reply honestly.” she said in a tone that made it seem like the temperature dropped a few degrees.

It’s not that Kitsune was mad at Kumori for trying to go missing. She was just incredibly disappointed that someone would attempt to do that, rather than just go apply for a passport to travel. It wasn’t a difficult procedure, and just about anyone could get one. Within reason of course. If the purpose of travel made sense, it’d likely be approved. And yet this strange little person, had opted for skipping that whole process, and just trying to walk out. If Kitsune had jimmies, they’d be incredibly rustled. This was definitely not okay. ”Depending on your answer, you might be taken in for questioning, or who knows, full on interrogation.” she said, her icy blue eyes shooting a steely cold gaze at Kumori. ”Again. Honesty is your best shot at getting out of this situation without prosecution.”

The boy was terrified. The terror was written all over his face, he thought he was staring death in the eyes when he saw Kitsune. The medic chief had taken care of the injured guard, but that didn't really concern him; he wanted to know why his recruit was trying to go AWOL in the dead of night, at least have gal and attempt in broad daylight.; give yourself a challenge at least. Recruit Komori is it? Return to the inner sanctuary of the village now and face no consequence. He let out a low sigh, and he face grew very serious, Failure to do so will result in termination The words were cold and calculated, the boy had to understand what his options were at this point.

Termination?

The word felt dirty in his mouth as he tasted it, trying to determine its meaning. “I…” – he stuttered. “I just wanted to see what was outside the village… I’ve never been out.” – he lowered his head in submission, though in reality he was already getting prepared. He would not die. He would not die today, or ever. He was ready to lose limbs in order to stay alive. “I will go back…” – he said, offering a slight bow. Once they gave him leave, he would turn and run back towards the village.

Kitsune folded her arms. ”A bit harsh, isn’t it ANBU-san?” she asked the cold man, and ran a hand through her crimson hair. ”Regardless. Kumori-kun, you could just apply for a passport. That way you can legally see what’s outside the village walls.” she suggested, opting for a solution to this whole debacle that wouldn’t end in having one less shinobi in Kumogakure. ”You’d have to request one from a Sennin, or the Raikage, though... I’m not entirely sure why they haven’t just added that responsibility to the Legation already. Either way. Be on your way, and that’ll be the end of this unfortunate episode.”

"A passport?"

Kumori had no idea what that was, but if it got out outside the village, than he wanted it. Winter was about to start (i think?), and with it, the festivals would start... that would be the perfect reason to go out. Worst case scenario, he would just go out on a mission and never come back. He was nervous at the thought of speaking to the Raikage... it would be something to look forward to.

"Thank you. Ill be on my way."
