Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

[ a p p e a r a n c e ]:

  • Koroki has a lean build with mild muscular structure, one can tell that he works his body out consistently but not vigorously.
  • His skin is a few shades darker than Olive, more so a light Sienna.
  • Normally found wearing a vibrant array of clothing but normally if not doing anything special he will be wearing his own version of his Medical Garbs being all black with blue stitching as opposed to the normal white.
  • Always wearing an eye patch and anyone who dares to try and take it off will likely cause a ruckus. Normally he would allow those he trusts to see his dual pupiled eye but if he does not trust you... tough ish.
  • His body is cold to the touch for those he also does not like, only warming up (literally) to those he can trust and respect.
  • Also, under his eye patch, he has deep scars that cannot be healed from any medical means, it is... something of a secret that he says to people he doesnt know that 'Its a birth defect'.
  • Has two lip piercings, under his bottom lip, as well as two tongue rings placed on the left and right. They seem to vibrate his tongue at times as well.

[ p e r s o n a l i t y ]:

  • Smart - He's always reading or trying to learn more about people and the world around him. Hoping to discover something that will give him immortal fame as his 'god' gave him 'immortal' life.
  • Tenacious - Never willing to give up anything until there is no way out. He will give his 'life' to find something new or obtain information that he can use to his advantage.
  • Tranquility - His mind and body calm as the ocean without a breeze. Though, when his feathers are ruffled he will lash out and often be overly eccentric with it...
  • Free Spirit - He acts on his own accord as his 'deity' gave him free will to roam as he pleases, so he often feels as if no authority can hold him against anything he wishes to do.. however, he would be the first to give respect for an authoritative figure if they have shown they deserve their particular rank.
  • Tactful Evil - He lives. . . eats. . . breathes chaos. Simple. There is a way about going through with it.

[ h i s t o r y ]:
His mother and father being born within Mist, he has a standard of loyalty for his home... as a young child he was ridiculed for his birth defect, being born with two pupils within his left eye, however, they were apart of his powers. Much like the Uchiha, Hyuuga, and others that held their powers through their eyes, Koroki would be able to unlock his bloodline traits of his Ice Jutsu... Those were the days he had forgotten to wear his eye patch.

This motivated him to graduate from the academy as soon as he possibly could. And it was exactly what happened, not because he was a prodigy, but because he had the mind to know what it too to push himself to pass as he graduated only a year after entering. He is a deep martyr for knowledge, some would say a glutton. He craved it. To know and learn more, and as he would become an official Genin he would partake in the rituals that led him to gain the charka mark upon the inside of his right palm in the shape of a yin/yang symbol but only the black half.

His family... being related to that of Mist's very own Daiki clan, gave him family so-to-speak, and would lead him to seek a relationship with his cousin Hoshi. She seemed to be one of the very few that could understand him, aside from a couple of class mates he knew. Though through lifestyles a vast majority of them would go the route of ANBU. Leaving him to his science of the mind, as he would become a Medical Trainee at the age of ten, soon after when he turned thirteen he would become a Medical Ninja.

There are many dark things dealing with his past, and his religion as his family, more so on his father's side made a pact centuries prior to bestow upon them a child for sacrifice that would fulfill the duties of the Deity Yama-gami-Do. Some know him by the name Jashin, others by Lucifer, but the being is all one in the same. As his blessings have been past down from generation to generation he sought favor on a child that would give their life to worship this man.

Koroki is that child, for his family at least. . . Like mentioned before he is no prodigy. . . he earned every ounce of knowledge he has and wishes to continue learning as he praises his 'god' of choice. He will not step on your beliefs unless you step against his. Immortality is the best gift that Koroki could ask for... and if he could find someone else that has the same... he'll likely stick to them forever. . .

'Seal of Refined Wisdom'
[fontsize="11"]Placed over Koroki's left shoulder, he would find that he would have been bestowed a mark that simply looks like three black spots on the back of his shoulder, which are connected then to a five more outer black dots, that make up the seal. When he was eleven years old he was given this by his father to help him with his quest for enlightenment through knowledge.

Through this seal he becomes highly more perceptive to things around him within his direct vicinity. Hearing things from a whisper to a pindrop. Taking everything and marking it down within his mind for later safe keeping. Historically this would be something similar to the Hell seal that Shinobi and Dark sages use on people perceptive to Genjutsu or who would be lacking in that department as a way of unlocking that part of their mind they could not otherwise have used.

NOTE:<i></i> Dark Sages, People who are adept to chakra, (such as Chakra attuned, Abominations, Hyuuga, etc.) will be adept enough to know this seal is upon his person as it is always active to allow him perception to things around him.

Ripple Effect<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
The rate at which a jutsu is cast and dispelled is variable to a Strider, allowing them to have it break up and attack multiple targets over several rounds, or even the same target over time.
Effect: Any Ninjutsu can be split in damage in up to four pieces (multiple hit Ninjutsu can instead be split into however many hits there are.) Each piece can be set to strike a target up to three rounds in the future. Pieces set to strike during the next round or afterwards receive a +2 accuracy bonus. This cannot be done more than once per round, and no more than two jutsu can be aimed at a single target this way at a time. (Added jutsu can be cast at the same target once previously cast jutsu have reappeared.)

Delayed Action<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
Time being like so much liquid to a Strider, then can easily throw their chakra forwards in it to form into its essence later--even controlling where and when it appears.
Effect: Any Ninjutsu can be cast into the future by up to three rounds (1 Round minimum), gaining a +3 accuracy bonus. Ninjutsu cast in this manner are modded at the beginning of the round they are cast into. This cannot be done more than once per round, and no more than two jutsu can be aimed at a single target this way at a time. (Added jutsu can be cast at the same target once previously cast jutsu have reappeared.)

Wait Reaction<i></i> - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Restriction- Requires Body Switch
Every so often, a Strider's knowledge gives them the ability to predict their opponent's next action and formulate an effective counter to it. If they are successful, they could gain a significant advantage.
Effect: Auto-dodge opponent's next attack. With the next 1.5 AP, may make one action against the opponent at +3 accuracy. Cannot be used more than three times per battle. If the user chooses not to make an attack, the 1.5 AP is wasted. Incurs a -2 dodge debuff for the rest of the round after being used.

Threads of Fate<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
Restriction- Requires one binding jutsu
A Strider knows their incoming reactions better than anyone's, and can possess the ability to distort the perception of their opponent when they know what is coming. It is said that they move fate itself to temporarily alter their target's view of the world.
Effect: Warps the target's sight to make it look like the user is standing still before a binding jutsu is cast. Lasts for 2 AP before the bind is cast. During that time, the target has -3 dodge and -3 accuracy against the user, including versus the bind itself. Acts as a Visual Genjutsu. When tagged to the front of a bind, increases the cost by 1.5x.

Spellweave<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
To most, multi-hitting jutsu occur rapidly, but not simultaneously. To the Strider, however, such fragments of time are mutable, and subject to their whim, allowing them to weave such pieces together and make them appear to be fired all at once.
Effect: Converts a Multi-hit Jutsu into a single-hit one; all strikes would hit simultaneously using the same check. Any limits or restrictions apply normally (Such as only 'x' strikes being capable of hitting)

Temporal Step<i></i> - Independent Special Move (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
The Strider possesses the skills to not only look through time, but to temporarily step out of it as well, rendering them resistant to most normal forms of harm aimed at them and allowing them an unclouded perception on the battle they are in.
Effect: The user makes a step out of time for the duration of one round. During this round, the user cannot be affected by Genjutsu, and any Genjutsu which they are under are temporarily ignored for the duration, though are still active. They also gain 10% damage reduction against all Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, and cannot be KOed while out of time, though if they take sufficient damage they will be knocked out when they phase back into normal space-time. Genjutsu cannot be cast in this state, however, and any Ninjutsu and Taijutsu cast require an additional 10% CP cost. This is treated as a free action and may be done every other round.

Dimension Freeze<i></i> - Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Requires Time Freeze
Time can be a tricky thing to perceive for those not gifted with the power to see through it. The Strider can take advantage of this in order to manipulate the perception of their victim, who will see the world as standing still.
Effect: Victims do not gain Genjutsu Save bonuses after being inflicted with Time Freeze. The user is given two rounds to rest instead of one. When the target is unfrozen, the user gains +2 accuracy on their next attack to that target.

Secondary Echo<i></i> - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up.
A Strider dislikes wasted time more than perhaps anyone else. So when their own time is wasted by a jutsu missing when cast, they simply pull it out of the past rather than waste time casting it again.
Effect: User may pull any Ninjutsu they cast the previous round that missed entirely to be redirected at the same target again or a new target. Costs 15% of the CP the jutsu originally took to cast and the same AP initially used, but only does 80% the original damage it would have. May only be used once per round.

Haste<i></i> - Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Requires Burst of Speed.
The active Strider is always trying to use their time as efficiently as possible, and as such speeding themselves up has a greater effect--speeding up every aspect of their motion, rather than just their dodging.
Effect: User can choose 2 extra AP for one round instead of the speed boost. Any jutsu cast with this extra AP cost 30% extra chakra and double exhaustion. Can only be used every other round.

Walk the Aeons<i></i> - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times
A Strider has it within their power to comprehend time on many different levels, allowing them to move with precision that few can comprehend. Their movements through time can often be tricky for others to follow.
Effect: +1 dodge.

Renewal<i></i> - Independent Special Move (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up.
Sometimes, the Strider does not like what the last few seconds did to them. So they undo it, at least for themselves and whatever hit them. It can be quite the baffling sight to those unsure what just happened.
Effect: Negates the effects of the last jutsu to hit the user. This includes all damage, debuffs, bleed increase, chakra loss, bindings, poisoning, and sealing. Can only be used three times per battle.

Temporal Strike<i></i> - Passive (1 point)
A well-aimed hit from a Strider has the capacity to knock their opponent just slightly out of time. Not accustomed to this shift in perception, the target tends to suffer from it.
Effect: All the user's Ninjutsu have a 20% chance to inflict a -.5 accuracy/dodge penalty on those they hit, stacking up to four times on the same target. The effect lasts for two rounds. Does not effect other Temporal Striders.

Flow of Time<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
The smart Strider is able to regain control of their jutsu after they have been cast, as though they just used them. Upon a failure to hit, they are able to redirect the jutsu to come back for another shot--though if they don't prepare when casting the jutsu this chance is lost.
Effect: User can add 25% CP to a jutsu's cost in order to give it a second chance to hit the same target again. This may only be used once per round, up to three times per battle. This does not effect any activated auto dodge effects.

Reversion<i></i> - Jutsu (1 point, 1 to rank up)
Restriction- A-Rank and Up
The ultimate in control of time--the ability to turn back time, to make it so that the last few seconds never happened. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, the Strider does not possess the capability to cleanse the memory of the time from anyone's minds, making this perhaps a bit of a risky tactic, as their opponents will have themselves replenished as well.
Rank 1: The effects of the last round are negated for all present within the battle. 70% of all damage inflicted by and to all in the battle is also negated, as well as 70% expended chakra. All other effects are reset to as they were at the beginning of the round. This only applies to effects within the battle, those entering are not affected.
Rank 2: The effects of the last round are negated for all present within the battle. 90% of all damage inflicted by and to all in the battle is also negated, as well as 90% expended chakra. All other effects are reset to as they were at the beginning of the round. This only applies to effects within the battle, those entering are not affected.

Cost: 3.5 AP, 4500 CP

Notes:
- May only be used once per battle. Costs double the exhaust of a normal level 7 Ninjutsu. Cannot be used in the same round as Haste, Renewal, or Temporal Step. Does not change the reappearance of jutsu cast with Ripple Effect or Delayed Reaction, nor Delayed Shot if that jutsu has been used, unless they appeared within the negated round.[/fontsize]

The art of Ninjutsu is a fascinating one, seeming to stretch infinitely with limitless possibilities. Abilities, Elements, and even secret techniques earned only through Blood, there are those who become so obsessive over the Ninja arts, that they devote themselves mind and soul into the never ending quest to master every technique. Nothing can stop the ambition of these Shinobi, going so far to discover the secrets of the world that they find the most inhumane techniques regardless of whether it is forbidden to study. Those with such an obsession to more Dark Arts tend to take on a more sinister appearance, their skin turning a Deathly pale white. Though appearing sickly, one should never underestimate a Dark Sage, for their affinity to all kinds of Jutsu is powerful, and in their search for Jutsu they possess what many would consider other-worldly abilities.

Prerequisites: Kinjutsu Application, B Rank

Effects:
- Because of their incredible affinity and mastery over all types of Jutsu, All techniques cost -10% Cp.
- The Dark Sage possesses the knowledge of more darker seals and can further understand their capabilities, enabling them to master the Curse Sealing Jutsu, and no longer requiring them to sacrifice 1 weeks worth of training stats in order to scribe a seal upon others. However, they may only scribe one Curse Seal per week.
- All Curse Seals Scribed by the Dark Sage place less strain on the hosts upon scribing. Instead of losing a 2 weeks worth of training stats, the receiver only loses 1 weeks worth of training stats. This also applies if the Dark Sage scribes themselves.

A dark jutsu that imitates the effects of revival, using this jutsu, a person can temporarily reanimate a corpse, creating the illusion of a living person. This is achieved by infusing their chakra into a corpse, causing the heart to beat once more while simultaneously allowing the user to control the corpse. However, this technique merely animates the body to an imitation of life, without a soul or mind, it is essentially a mindless dummy that serves as a sort of puppet to be manipulated by the user. The reanimated corpse can serve as either a short-time ally or an effective decoy in the right hands, though because of atrophy, these Zombies will always be slower and weaker than their previous forms in life. These corpses are stored in summoning scrolls for use, as generally there are not corpses laying around for public use.

Rank 1: Reanimates a body at -6 of the User's Secondaries. Has 2970 Hp.
Mastered: Reanimates a body at -5 of the User's Secondaries. Has 3710 Hp.

Note:
- Corpses are stored in summoning scrolls, and are Treated as a "Medium" Slot.
- User can only summon one corpse at a time. This lasts until it is destroyed, or the user no longer maintains the jutsu.
- If used on the body of a Dead PC, they gain +3 Secondaries compared to normal rank due to the body not being decomposed. This only applies to the battle the PC died in.
- The corpse has 2 Ap, and may only do basic attacks, or E-Rank Taijutsu at Rank 1.
- The corpse may be summoned equipped with one Weapon with the user's choice of damage type, weapon accuracy and base damage bonus. Damage cannot be buffed in any way. This weapon does not have special effects, and is destroyed upon the end of this jutsu.

[fontsize="12"]Resurrection Technique: Corpse Soil - B-Rank Ninjutsu

A sinister jutsu that seemingly summons an endless amount of corpses from the ground, each one clawing its way to the surface were they begin to mindlessly attempt to surround an opponent. In all actuality, the user creates gruesome corpses out of minerals within the ground in a sort of reverse-decomposition, using their Dead Soul technique upon a large scale that essentially gives them an army at their command. However, due to being created freshly, each corpse is significantly weaker, slower, less agile and much more fragile than usual despite their more zombie-like appearance. Unlike before, they simply rise again once slain due to the minerals within the ground replenishing their wounds, trapping the user's victim's in a undead reality.

Rank 1: Creates 8 Corpses at the user's Command. Each has -6 of the user's secondaries, 690 Hp and 1 Ap. Attacks deal 200 damage per strike at .5 Ap. Only 13 Strikes may hit a single target per round.
Master Rank: Creates 10 Corpses at the user's Command. Each has -5 of the user's secondaries, 660 Hp and 1 Ap. Attacks deal 200 Damage per strike at .5 Ap. Only 15 strikes may hit a single target per round.

Note:
- Attacks use Melee Accuracy.
- When destroyed, corpses are revived at the start of the following round.
- Lasts until the user no longer maintains the jutsu, or if they take damage equal to 25% of their Max Hp in one round.
- Damage done by the corpses cannot be buffed.
- Corpses cannot use any jutsu, though may attempt to grab an opponent giving the victim -2 Dodge, with an additional -1 for each corpse after the first. Up to four corpses may hold a target at once.

A fearsome and forbidden technique that is said to have been forgotten through the age's, few are aware of the existence of this technique...and fewer possess the courage to perform this jutsu. This jutsu creates a seal which summons a shinigami to drag the target's soul to the depths of hell, where they are damned to an eternity of battle with the user. However, this jutsu is forbidden for a reason, for when one person is cursed, two people are damned, and the Shinigami will extract the same amount of lifeforce from the user as payment. As such, unless the user has a death wish, this technique is rarely used to it's full potential.

Rank 1: The user is able to link the seal to a target at -3 Melee Accuracy. During this time, both the user and the victim take -4 Dodge, their souls linked by a Shinigami. Both the user and the victim take 5800 Damage upon use, and at the start of every round.
Master Rank: The user is able to link the seal to a target at -2 Melee Accuracy. During this time, both the user and the victim take -5 Dodge, their soul's linked by a Shinigami. Both the user and the victim take 7260 Damage upon use, and at the start of every round.

Notes:
- After successfully being used, every round the victim must make a Nin Check against the user's Ninjutsu. For every 40 Stat average the user has over the target, they gain +1, up to +3. For every 40 the target has over the user, they gain +1, up to +3.
- Neither the user nor the victim may make any other action while this jutsu is maintained. Neither may recover Hp while this technique is in effect.
- This damage Cannot be reduced or increased in ANY way. All HP lost by this technique cannot be regained in ANY way for the remainder of the battle.
- Should the user take damage equal to 30% their Max HP during the round, not including damage one by this technique, this technique is dispersed.
- If the target is harmed while bound by this technique, the user take's damage as well, after which this technique is dispersed.
- This technique lasts up to two rounds and requires a one full round cooldown after the technique expires before it can be attempted again.

A forbidden technique that places a terrible seal on another or even the user. Often compared to the Curse Seals, these variants are by far much more dangerous and life threatening, the user's chakra merging with that of the victim, altering their bodies or Chakra system to forcibly release the limits on their physical body. These seals are fueled by rage and hate, and when active explode in a burst of sheer power that is seen as demonic. However, there is no turning back once either of these dark seals have been scribed; The afflicted will never again return to their normal life, their seal seeking it's roots deep within their body and slowly rotting their body away until their inevitable death.

Rank 1: Allows the Dark Sage to scribe the <i>Chaos Seal</i> upon a target at -4 Accuracy.

A forbidden Jutsu that is able to forcibly revive the dead for the user's own ambitions. Time consuming and costly, this kinjutsu is first prepared by the subject's essence being sealed within the user for an indefinite time until needed. This essence is believed to be part of the deceased's soul, forever binding them to the corrupted sage, however in actuality it is more closely linked to chakra. From that point on, the user is able to use this essence as a foundation for recreating or summoning the spirit and recreating it's physical body, complete with nearly every ability possessed by the original in life. However, the cost for such a technique is a significant part of the user's own life force, a price the user must pay in return for pulling the deceased's soul back into the world, and forcibly controlling their mind.

Master Rank: The user is able to absorb the energy of a target, linking their soul to the user and allowing them to later summon this spirit complete with a body. This can only be done through a 1,500 word rp. This Rp must have council approval, and the user chooses the body's Jutsu, abilities, class and BL/CA at the time of creation. This Rp may only be done once every OOC month. The user may only have up to three spirit's linked to them, though may only summon one per battle. When killed, the link between the user and the soul is dispersed, and the user must reuse this technique again to either reconnect the link or bind a new spirit to themselves.

Cost: 4.5 Ap, 4320 Cp, 2160 Hp

Notes:
- Can only summon one body per battle.
- The corpse cannot take any action the round it is summoned.
- This corpse can not have any Curse Seals in any shape or form.
- Can only retain three bodies at a time, and once one body dies (not KO'ed, but dies) it is destroyed.
- One the user is KO'ed, the body is removed from the field.
- The body possesses stats equal to 75% of the user's, and has 4 Ap.
- A body may have a full Bl or a CA with 20 points. Additionally, they have a class without any bonuses, with 1 secondary stat in High, and two in low. This class has 50 mod points to be distributed between Hp and Cp Mods, however neither can go below 20.
- The body has 7 ability slots. They cannot have Kinjutsu.
- A body may have up to 70 points worth of Jutsu. For each level a jutsu is scaling from levels E/D/C/B, it costs 1 point, while A level Jutsu cost 7 points. In addition, each rank costs an additional point. A mastered B level Jutsu would cost 7 points, while a mastered A Level would cost 8 for example. Chosen jutsu must be in the user's inventory, but do not have to be mastered by the user. Any "Mastered jutsu" prerequisites do not apply to the body.
- An IWR body may only access a single Advanced Element. The IWR body is considered to have a Major Affinity to this element's major element, and a minor affinity to its minor. Additionally, any "Mastered jutsu" prerequisites do not apply to the body.
- When using this Jutsu, the user loses -4 dodge (at the start of the jutsu) for the remainder of the round.
- If the user takes damage equal to 30% of their max HP during the summoning, the jutsu fails, however the user may try to use it again.
- This summon follows normal jutsu limits, and does not allow the user to bypass the Clone Limit, Stack multiple Barriers of the same jutsu, etc. This Summon may body switch independent of the user's limits, however.[/fontsize]
