Personality:
Mamoru can be considered neutral good almost to the point of becoming lawful good. He has great sense of loyalty to his family, friends, tutors and village. His loyalty is strongest with the village and will only be challenged by the loyalties he holds towards his sister. His strong sense of loyalty is followed by a strong will to always learn new things and the will to improve his own skill, but also those of others, always keeping the village in mind in everything he does. If he wants to become better, it is because he feels that it will benefit the village and his comrades. Mamoru is not one to break and very very rarely bend the rules and laws which he lives under, though due to his eagerness to learn new things and help those around him, he often find himself in conflict between his loyalties and those he consider friends.
Mamoru learn things by doing things many times over, making him very ‘adapted’ towards the training and use of taijutsu. However, this has caused him to also lose interest in forming to many seals, making him favour taijutsu and the use of weapons rather than jutsus that would require him to form seals.
Story:
Mamoru’s parents were both highly loyal to Sunagakure, his father working as a taijitsu master and his mother working part time as a sort of field medic and law officer within the village. His upbringing was strict and he was almost always shielded from those children who would often be found at the heart of trouble. Having a strict sense of justice and often frowning upon those that did not respect their elders and the rules set by them, Mamoru would rarely hang out with many of those that he went to the academy with. He did have friends however, that was much like himself; loyal, just and detested those that broke the rules. Having had a safe and fairly good upbringing, Mamoru knows little of some of the hardships some families live under, he knows it exists and he knows that some of his classmates don’t have it as good as he have had it, this have also brought forward a sense of compassion with those that suffer, where he wants to help in any way he can, as long as it does not break the rules set by the teachers. Many times, he will find himself torn between slipping the answer to one of those struggling on a test or just moving on with it, trying to ignore those that are clearly struggling with it. Being the child of a taijutsu instructor and a law enforcer Mamoru have sort of created himself an image of what he wants to become when he grows up. He wants to become a ‘Sentinel of Sunagakure’ a person that protects it as well as the people within it, at any costs. But he realizes that in order to become this ‘Sentinel’ he will have to become stronger and he sees that his only way of becoming stronger is to do well in the academy and then move on and maybe get put in the care of an experienced instructor that can help him improve.
