Age: 10
Gender: Male
Personality:
His demeanor usually boasts a reticent calm but beneath his default exterior expressions he is brash and extremely competitive. Often times the one to 'jump the gun' and rush head long into situations with little forethought of danger and consequence. Despite this he is never delusional about his own abilities, but his incessant urge to push his limits blurs the lines of recklessness and exposes his naivety. Can be a bit of jokester and poke fun at those who deny his competitive pleasures or opt out of situations due to fear and heavy caution. He is quick to make friends and accumulate a group of others to compete and gauge himself against. He would love nothing more than to stumble upon a rival to continually stimulate his competitive flare.
With a relative height of four-feet nine inches he stands above the average height for his age range. His body type is slender with hardly any excess body fat, and as such, proves to retain highly visible definitions of muscle no matter how miniscule. He weighs just under eighty pounds but his finely sculpted physique would seem to indicate at least a couple dozen more pounds to the eye. His dark brown hair is naturally affixed in a downward spikey fashion with a slanting part flowing to his left. His pale skin is flavorfully accented by the bright hue of his amber eyes, truly the only interesting feature of his otherwise plain appearance. In terms of apparel, he often adorns a a long black three quarter sleeved shirt that is tightly fitted to his frame underneath a thin fitted light burgundy long sleeved gi wrapped at the waist with a silk dark burgundy sash. He wears slim fitted grey sweat pants and black padded shinobi sandals. His headband is affixed to his forehead underneath the downward sloping part of his hair. Strapped to his shins and forearms are light metal guards and commonly found coiled around his neck is a light brown cloth that is often used as a makeshift scarf for various purposes.
Toru was born directly into the military-state of Kumogakure, conceived by shinobi paramours Oginu, Yosuke and Sawanobori, Aikura around the time of Prince Shiro's first capture and the Shogun appointment of Amakusa Ryuu. His parents had fallen in love after being among the select few shinobi that survived the first demon invasion. With both of his parents being main branch ninja, his earliest memories of their deployments stemmed around the attacks of the then Raikage, Kagetsu Kiyo. He was often left in the care of his grandparents, where as a child, he would often rummage through old taijutsu specific gear left behind by his parents that were loosely stashed in an unlocked wooden chest. His fascination for hand to hand combat grew once he was old enough to sit in on his parents training sessions where they would heavily display their predominance of taijutsu among the other arts.
Having been born into the military-state his path was predetrmined. Although not ignorant to their sons mandatory service to the village, Yosuke and Aikura never failed to express their disconeten for his soon to be life as a ninja and consistently verbalized their concern for his safety. Toru, as a result, was trained mildly to defend himself as a shinobi as it was the next best thing to peace of mind for his parents knowing that they themselves would soon be unable to look after him. His training however was halted after a few years once the civil war had broken out, leaving his parents on call around the clock and forcing them to relinquish full custody of Toru to his grandparents. He saw their faces once every blue moon thereafter, and only for the first time seeing them among their contemporaries when publicly honored as a pair of the many heroes from the battle of Port Cirrus.
Though after the princes second capture shortly thereafter his parents were held away again for combat purposes, and as a direct result the village quickly began enlisting and he was soon summoned to begin his path as shinobi to be enrolled promplty by the end of the year into the Kumogakure Academy. Now a year later, Toru finds himself poised to enter the ranks of the shinobi as an Academy student. Which as time would have it, proves to be the most ideal instance to start his journey during the villages first stability of peace in two years. But with murmurs of a figure head Shogun and perhaps a secret interior organization suspected of recent noble assassinations, will the pillars of successful wars and battles accomplished by his parents and other past/current shinobi alike be enough to maintain the peace? Or will treachery loom once again and prove to fall upon the shoulders of Toru and the next generation of Kumogakure shinobi?
