Name: Okura Toyoko
Age: 8 years old
Hair Color: Jet Black
Eyes: Violet
Height: 3' 7"
Weight: 35 lbs
Physical Description: Toyoko has violet eyes, often unblinking in the midst of the desert heat, that seem to pierce right through to the soul of whomever she is looking at. Underneath her eyes are what appears to be an odd sort of birthmark, looking like black tears that have begun to roll down her face, stopping just below her cheekbones. She keeps her jet black hair cut closely to her head, so that it doesn't get in the way. Despite living in the desert, her skin is like porcelain; not a single mark mars her smooth pale body, aside from the dark smudges under her eyes.
Mental Description: Toyoko is generally a very curious child. She likes to understand how things work, whether this be through study or taking them apart and teaching herself the intricacies of whatever it is she is obsessed with at the moment. Normally she prefers to observe rather than speak, leading others to think that she is shy or creepy. These opinions mean little to her, as she doesn't care to build meaningless bonds with the faceless masses. She is fiercely protective of her possessions, willing to fight anyone trying to touch anything that belongs to her. She is often found talking to her array of stuffed animals, furthering the belief among the other children that she is unusual.
History and Hawkeye Application:
Toyoko grew up in Sunagakure with her parents, living in the residential area. They were of the lower middle class, her parents both working in a restaurant that they owned. Dealing in local delicacies, the restaurant was very popular among tourists and those seeking a home cooked meal without having to go through the efforts of making it at home. As a result, their daughter was often left at home to entertain herself. So they bought her many toys and games to keep her stimulated while they were busy at work.
One day, the store was the target of a robbery and both of her parents were killed in the process. Toyoko was only 5 years old when this happened, and had no other family to go to. As a result, she was moved to an orphanage where one of her neighbors quickly swooped in and adopted her. This woman, Okura Hiyoko, took in this poor child and raised her as best she could. A retired shinobi of the Village Hidden in the Sand, she shared her skills with the young girl so that she would be able to defend herself should the need arise in her future.
Toyoko quickly grew very fond of weapons training, preferring to use kunai and shuriken to strike her targets from a distance. As the years went by, she honed her skills and accuracy to a deadly level. Hiyoko accredited this to the analytical mind of the girl, as she would sit and map out the variables to attain a more accurate strike on the dummies that they had set up in the backyard. As her skills grew, Toyoko learned how to manipulate her favorite teddy bear to become a deadly weapon as well, hiding within it various blades so that she was able to shred the targets rather than just bludgeon them with a padded toy.
Hiyoko quickly realized that she had bitten off more than she could chew with taking in Toyoko, and hid her away from the general populace of Suna. As such, the girl never really learned how to socialize and make friends. Instead, she spent her time reading and studying, improving her techniques and preparing herself for a future as a shinobi.
