Uri's life had become something akin to the daily life of someone who had been stuck in a rut. Only since returning to Sunagakure had this become a problem. Everything was the same, nothing ever changed, the drab feeling of the cave was ever present and it only make Uri's skin crawl for natural sunlight once more. There were times he wished he hadn't returned at all, but something had driven him back home; maybe he wished to see his mother, maybe he had a delusional moment and became homesick. There was no knowing, but every once in awhile he was receive a chance to do something exciting, if even just a change of pace. The bear "cub" he had rescued some weeks ago, which was living on Toraono land had been reported missing and seen heading into the woods nearby.
While he wasn't responsible for the bear anymore, he did have a special place in his heart for the lovable oaf. They had sent word to Uri once they noticed it had left on its own accord; escaping from its habitat by dislodging a reinforced steel door. The chuunin had arrived in his beaten-up brown bomber jacket, noticing the obvious trail the bear had taken into the Elderwoods. Hands crammed into his pockets, a fruity sucker popped into his mouth, he followed into the depths of the murky woods with sharp eyes. Not for the bear, but for the numerous odd creatures that inhabited the trees. Not long ago he had found a shadow demon wishing to pray on the power of the Winter King, so he was always wary of these woods.
The eerie effect of this area was that something always seemed to be following you, or at least that's what it felt like even if nothing existed. They played mind games, like a playful being lived there to annoy and tease any who entered. The great wide world had many myths about such creatures and their propensity for being tricksters. Perhaps it was the place where their Tryckster resided when not running rampant amongst the village. As good a cover as any when trying to stay off the radar.
Still following the trail of the large cub, he finally entered a clearing where the large beast had set up its alleged picnic.
"Bubu-kun, what have I told you about wandering off on your own?"<i></i>
As he sat there, he raised up a plate of tea sandwiches in one of its large paws and Uri rolled his eyes.
"Might as well not let them go to waste, but as soon as we finish them, we're going straight back!"<i></i>
The massive child seemed disappointed as he was scolded by his savior, and bowed his head. Feeling a bit sorry about his reaction, he picked up the teapot from within the basket and a cup and filled it up for BuBu, "One lump or two?"<i></i>
There was a sudden change in the bear's demeanor, and what Uri could only describe as a razor-sharp smile of joy as they went on to have their pseudo tea party in the woods.
