Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The summons for the young Sashine was a small raven carrying a small scroll. The bird would come to her the day before her examination.</COLOR>
[spoilername="Sacred Scroll"]Ueno Sashine, you have been judged worthy of advancement within the ranks of the proud shinobi of Kumogakure no Sato. If you choose to accept, you will need to promptly report to your exam grounds at the provided location.

Good Luck,
Praise Raiden
[/spoilername]<COLOR color="grey">

The directions were a simple coordinate location somewhere deep within the ancient forest. Sashine would have to traverse the dangers of the forest, only to come upon a large clearing deep within the bowels of the forest. Standing in the center of the forest would be a large monolith, a stone structure that was a simple, cylindrical and flat building. On the front of the monolith there is an opening leading to within the structure.

Overhead, a single bolt of lightning would ring out, a summons from Raiden himself, and so begins the trial of Ueno Sashine.

OoC: I want to see some good roleplaying here, solid wordcounts, but don’t fluff it, give me everything you have! Get to the building, and get inside!

Half assedly smacking a wooden practice dummy, the brightest shinobi around (if only in color) was trying to see if she could use this stupid kunai with a large cloth bow efficiently. To her, it seemed like a stupid weapon that barely did much of anything unless it was being thrown and for her to hit it, it'd have to be a stationary target. In the distance, Sashine saw a small raven flying as she tightly held the stupid weapon which she hadn't even picked out for herself. Honestly, she wasn't sure why she had been putting time into using it. That stupid bird flew closer as she drew her right arm back, over her head, throwing it at the damn bird. It dodged away from the weapon easily, the bow probably ruining a lot of the aerodynamics on it as well as her lack of practice with weapons in general affecting the throw. A small scroll fell from the bird's mouth as it flew in the direction it had come from. Obviously, Sashine had to pick it up and read it. She could be intercepting a spy message and get some reward but the contents were almost as exciting, at least to her. She walked to where the kunai had fallen after that bird had defied her and held the kunai over her shoulder as she threw it back toward the wooden dummy, skimming the side of its head. She smirked despite the failure. It had been a lot closer than she expected.

She tied up her hair. She knew that the coordinates were somewhere in the forest but who even went there enough to know where anything was? Sure, she had gone into the forest before but not far enough that she'd ever encounter an animal that wasn't wearing clothing. There was nothing wrong with wildlife really but something about getting dirty bothered her more than getting killed or poisoned. Then again, the fact that she wasn't wearing bright clothing would help her from being distracted by the dirt and pests she would face simply by walking into the forest. Who knew what would come after that.

She sighed and got up from the jewelry cabinet where she usually fixed herself up. It was still early in the morning but by the time she got there, she estimated it'd be close to noon and the sun would likely consume her by overheating the black lace. If she had to do something in the outdoors, she'd need to be there before the sun hit its high point. With another sigh, she decided it'd be best to jog to her destination. It'd also look less awkward than if she was running straight down the forest as well as helping her from tripping.

It had been a monotonous jog through the forest so far. That was probably a huge reason why Sashine found no comfort in it. She cared little if the plant with pointy leaves was deadly and the circular one healed wounds. It seemed like information that wasn't necessary. She could always pay or ask someone to filter out which one she might need at whatever moment in her life it might come up. Beyond the bland information about the forest, there was little stimulation here. What would you do for fun? Watch the plants grow? Find a large mushroom to jump on? Wait until animals found your food stash and killed you for it?

Sashine had come to a downward slope that any ordinary shinobi would have just slid down, to cut the time short but Sashine stood there for a moment completely cutting that option out of the list of possibilities. It seemed that she could walk around and take twice as long to get to what she could see was the clearing she needed to get down to, she could try to back up and jump, hopefully landing 20 feet from where she stood but something told her that would end in failure. Alternatively, she could try to catapult herself using a tree and hope that wings grew out of her miraculously.

The pink headed girl shook her head as nonsensical ideas started to pour out and started her walk around the slope, smacking every tree she walked next to as a sort of revenge to mother nature for not creating stairs. "Green is such an ugly color to match anyway. That's why they put you next to browns, the mushiest of colors.", she complained as she hit every branch that her hand could reach as she walked past it. A small creature poked its head out of a tree, it's claws scratching against the tree's wood as it stared down the pink child as she continued walking along and mumbling insults to the decor in the forest.

"This place is so overcrowded. You know too many decorations is just tacky. Get a fa- Ah!!!", Sashine felt something tug at her hair, stuck in it and moving, she squirmed as she attempted to run away, unable to shake the creature from her hair as the animal slowly tangled itself further into the pinkness. "Get OUT!", she said, disorienting herself by shaking her head, Sashine took a step without proper vision, getting her foot stuck on a bush's branches, quickly moving her body to the opposite side to stop her foot from being poked as her body reactively moved and fell down the slope. Her body began to go down the slope quickly at first, the rocks and twigs scratching against her skin and getting caught in her dress, her body heading head-first towards the bottom of the slope. She closed her eyes to brace for impact, her hands covering the sides of her head.

She opened her eyes to find... she was alive and... well, not badly hurt. the young girl stayed on the ground for a few seconds, making sure to inspect herself before making any sudden moves. Her right hand reached to the back of her head where she was sure to impact the ground. There was a warm moisture in her hair and when she moved her hand in front of her vision, she saw it, the red liquid that was actively pouring. "Fuck.", she wasn't one to use bad language but if there was ever a time, it was now. Despite the blood, Sashine felt no pain on her upper half, only the pain of the scratches against her skin. She reached to the back of her head again to inspect and surely, there was no pain or bruise there, not even a wound but when she lifted her head from the ground, she realized what it was. The body of the small woodland creature lay in her hands, twitching as she undid the bows in her hair to allow the creature to untangle.

It was still alive but it wouldn't last long. In a way, the creature had caused this but also saved her from taking the damage and in another way, she had caused the trouble and the creature had paid for reacting. Sashine sat on the ground and though it was noon already, she could see the clearing ahead of her. The, now, pink and red-haired girl took a moment to look at the furry thing in her hand. It seemed like a chipmunk but she wasn't sure at this point. Sashine didn't feel strong enough to end its misery but she would stay with it until it died at least. She stood up completely, walking toward the clearing, her two hands cupped under the creature as she walked toward the large stone structure. With the strike of the lightning, Sashine felt it, the last breath as her hands fell to her sides, the chipmunk hitting the ground. She rubbed her hands against the sides of her dress to remove excess blood as she got her bows, did her hair and readied herself. With a pause to take a long breath, she exhaled it all in a deep sigh and patting the dust out of her dress. She stepped into the building.

As Sashine crossed the threshold of the monolith and into its belly, the stone behind the young girl would close behind her, plunging the entire place into complete darkness. The mood within was somber, a cold, silent grave. Not a single noise penetrated the walls of the monolith, and the darkness was absolute; not a single shred of light was anywhere to be found. In all, Sashine was completely alone with her thoughts.

Upon inspection, Sashine would not be able to discern any doorways to escape, or be able to find anything obvious in order to alleviate her current situation. Truly, it was a round room that was dark and silent. Or was it? Some say the girl had the abilities to feel emotions. The very building itself had malicious intent; it wanted nothing more than to see Sashine’s life force blotted out, once again returning to Raiden’s grasp. Would she be able to feel that? Would she feel fear?

What would the girl do after an unknown amount of time stuck in a dark place? No longer would she know if she was where started, or somewhere else. Was this room bigger than she thought? Or was that just the darkness playing tricks on her? How would the young Pink Power Ra… Shinobi handle the situation?

OoC: Very good start. Okay, imagine being trapped in a small, maybe large, you have no idea, room. What is she going to do? Write it out, then we will continue!

Her body turned to look at the rock as it slid over the opening. she was sure she was in the right location. It was odd enough to find a clearing in the middle of a forest, much less of with a giant stone building and even less likely to hear a thunderbolt which was often used as a signal in Kumogakure. She thought she'd see someone around here but there was no sound, no sight and no sense of anyone in the room with her. The darkness on its own was worrying. It was logical to fear the darkness, the lack of information. When you knew nothing, anything could happen and even with the best reactions, it'd be like giving your safety over to a stranger. There was a sense of distrust about the action. She stood where she was, facing the direction opposite from the entrance yet, she had turned to look at the door closing and the light vanishing. It had all happened so quickly as well that she could have been facing toward an angle that walked her straight into danger. That was the scary thing about darkness. Danger could be lurking anywhere.

It wasn't simply a fact, she could feel it. The feeling was heavy and dark. There was something off about the building but she had been ready to look at the face of evil. Sometimes when looking at her own reflection, she had sensed it as well, a sort of evil that crossed the line of self-preservation and into the territory of sin for entertainment's sake. She wondered where the feeling came from and realized that many must feel the same thing, every day when they close their eyes and see that darkness inside their skull, every time a doctor held a scalpel, he chose just how to control that feeling, every time a teacher impacted a student's mind, there was a choice, a conscious choice of where they wanted to head. Thus, this feeling wasn't new but it was threatening, surely. She wasn't as weak as she had been when she first walked into the academy but she surely wasn't at a level where she felt comfortable with her power. She had a long way to go to feel comfortable, safe. And it would probably be a feeling that would never leave, the feeling of not being strong enough. Was she strong enough to face the unknown?

Sashine had been in a similar situation before at The Academy, unable to use her power to protect herself, to make a move, overwhelmed by power yet at first, she struggled and fought, she kicked and screamed as best as she could. The girl started to walk back toward where she thought the door was. The feeling was cold as she touched the stone and she felt the curve of the wall she touched. For the first few seconds that she saw light, she hadn't noted anything strange on the wall and so, it was her best bet to follow the wall to where the room lead. She continued walking with the wall, the same curve on the wall continued, it was a consistent shape and there were no points or corners in the bottom of the room. With every step she took, she slid her foot on the ground, careful to not talk steps as lifting her foot would mean putting it back down somewhere that she had no information on. If she slid her foot slowly as she slowly walked, letting the wall guide her, she could be able to feel any bumps, objects, traps and dips on the ground even without vision. She had met a blind man before and this was how she imagined he had learned to walk before he was able to more quickly gather information on his surroundings.

Sashine did two full turns around the room unknowingly before she came to a halt. Sashine had to use her best abilities to get out of this situation, it seemed. She stood in place as she thought this through. A strong man would break the walls out, Sashine could not do that. A quick man would scout and hopefully dig his way out, Sashine did not have the stamina for that. A gifted man would use their jutsu to overcome their obstacles but Sashine did not have this knowledge. The young girl felt she had brains, if not at least logic and that was why she stood here thinking. There was something else Sashine considered she was good at but she wasn't sure it would work without humans around. Then again, she had no way of knowing if she was truly alone or if she could use her abilities beyond humans.

Sashine walked a few feet toward the middle of where she felt the room was. She wasn't sure what direction she was facing now but that didn't matter, this energy was all around her anyway. She stretched her body upwards and then downwards, her hands locked together as she stretched. She rubbed the skin on her legs to warm them up from the cold, dead air in the room, rubbing up to her thighs, where she used the cover of her dress to make a hand seal. With the hand seal done and her chakra focused on her throat, she started to take a step forward, her voice finally sounding off in the room as a small purring came from her chest "hmmmm", that slowly built up to a chuckle, "heh... heh ", then a laugh "Haha Hahah", the voice echoed through the walls and boomed in a way that made Sashine's location indiscernible of where exactly she was despite it being a small room. The echoes booming off one wall and onto another, various pitches of the same voice at once at varying volumes, even the soft footsteps echoed in different spots of the room. Sashine could feel herself mimic the emotion, taking in the emotion of the room and reflecting it through herself. If she couldn't beat them, she wouldn't sit still and take it, she'd join them because anything they could feel, she would feel better. If something was intimidating, despite the pink dress and frills, she would be a nightmare. Who said cute packages couldn't be a threat? She would often be dismissed but Sashine was not a puppy, rolling over for praise, she was a hare with the heart of a whale.

Fear. Sashine was a duality to herself. On the one hand, she was giving into Fear by not lifting a foot in fear of the unknown, a constant of the shinobi life. However, her resolve rose and she actively fought against the fear surrounding her. In life, you have to pick one or the other, a shinobi who walks the line between many paths will be led astray by everything. The room could sense this duality of her personality, and in kind, it responded with malice. The air surrounding her thickened. Any thought of light in the absolute blackness was destroyed. Even the roof and walls seemed to be closing in. As Sashine hummed along to herself, the sound of her own voice would seek to strangle her, leaving but a puny corpse behind.

This pressure of malice would only heighten before a single whisper would be heard by the young girl. It was a sound familiar to her. Her father’s voice. It was as loud as a whisper, but with the presence of a full-bodied yell. “Useless piece of trash. You can’t even lift your feet. Are you so frightened of the dark that you can’t even walk?” A figure appeared before her, or was it always there, in the shape of her father. His face was twisted in rage and bloodlust. In his hands he held a long-bladed kunai, and Sashine could see herself reflected in it, dead.

Beside the father figure, the whole family showed up. Her siblings and mother, their bodies mangled and disgusting, stood hunched over beside her father. Instead of hands, the family had claws dripping with liquid that could have been blood, Sashine’s blood. They cackled maliciously, and their whole will was a pressure against Sashine, a will to see her amount to nothing, to see Sashine dead before she accomplished anything. “Fade into nothingness little pink.” Her father’s voice again, the walls closing in around the young girl. “You can’t lift a foot, how can you ever become a shinobi? Lay down and die, cur!” In her mind’s eye, her family in front of her would become gigantic, blotting out her very vision. How would Ueno Sashine react to her own failures rising to smite her?

The feeling in the room thickened and she felt the pressure push her down but she had to fight back against it, it was all she could do. She wasn't sure what was going on or what her objective was and there was an indecision to sit and wait the storm over or continue her efforts in looking for information or a way out. The tension in the air closed her throat and she felt like she was choking herself from the inside. Her body stiffened despite the attempts to scare the evil away and she could feel the high cool down. The voice that made her back arch with a cool shiver completely killed any adrenaline from the act. She felt her instincts kicking in as she walked backwards, away from the voice, the man, the people.

They were her family with her blood in their hands, her death as their goal. She could see the hatred and her body took another step. She stood in place now, frozen solid by the gaze. She thought of them, had they always wanted her blood on their hands? Had this always been her life? Every word, every sound, the feeling in the air, it pounded against her chest and hurt like a lashing.

She shook herself back to reality, she had been through this before. The fear, the slow reaction, the images. She felt the bubbling feeling of anger mingle with the fear. She didn't want to get near any of this, in fact, she simply wanted to lay down and close her eyes but she had to fight the feeling. This wouldn't be a repeat of the past. Her fists balled up as she let out a shriek, the tension only adding onto the vibrations in her throat as the bright bubble of emotional aura encompassed Sashine. She ran straight into the man who stood before her, readying a fist to land a punch and using it as a feint to instead, slide her body on the ground, using the momentum to hopefully throw her father off his feet. using the punch to aim for the gut if he fell down with her slide or his groin if he moved to the sides. If he fell on top of her, she'd use her small size to limit his movement as use her teeth to continue the damage, biting the man's skin hoping to deal as much damage as possible. With her emotional shield activated, she was free to focus on dealing damage and caring about little else.

As soon as the girl had decided to lash out at the ethereal phantasms, they all disappeared from her vision. Her ferocity, though, was felt throughout the building. It could sense her determination, her raw need to break from her fear. The building responded, once again, in kind to her emotions. This time it overloaded with rage and anger. How could one so small not be overloaded by such anger? The specters may have gone away, but the wash of emotion was a constant barrage for an untrackable amount of time. The emotion would eventually die away till once again the young child was alone in a dark room. How would she feel coming off a high of anger. Would she even be able to stand up again?

No matter how she reacted, once she looked up again, Sashine would see herself. It was a perfect representation of her in every single way. However, she was not weighed down by any emotional barrage as Sashine-Alpha had been. She stood there, sickeningly perfect in every way. “Hello there Sashine. Or am I Sashine? Are you going crazy? Are we? HA!” From behind her skirt, Sashine the Second produced a single, long-bladed knife. “Now, will you lay down and die so that I can get on with my own life?” With those simple words, the second Sashine lunged, preparing for a final attack.
OoC: Okay, I was going to have a real battle, but that can wait until later. Just roleplay a fight with yourself, hopefully with you as the victor ;) We are getting close to the end!

The figures in the air vanished soon enough. She had seen this kind of Genjutsu before. Whoever was doing this just wanted to rile her up but Sashine was also aware that illusions could do damage, cause pain and not just internally. She grimaced as she huffed air from the sudden adrenaline high. What kind of tease was that? She was ready to destroy and it had all suddenly stopped. Of course, this seemed like a much better situation since now, she would have reserved energy for what was to come. Sometime along the way, she had realized that this was a test of her willpower and ability to detach herself from normal things that would be impossible to attain by any good Shinobi. Peace, stability, family. These could all be used against you, bringing you down, harboring you in place. Sashine had heard about tests where students would have to kill their own family members to prove their worth and that seemed too extreme and almost contradictory to its purpose. Breaking bonds so easily was a clear indication of breaking loyalty and family was supposed to be the unit with the strongest ties. She applied the situation to herself and she wondered whether she could even damage one of her siblings at this point, rather than whether it was something she'd go through with.

The emotional barrage in the room continued, it varied in emotions but Sashine tried to keep her composure. This building was stupid, wasn't it? It was probably a boy cave. Women always battled with emotions, this was a less than normal emotional barrage but still, it was up her alley and if there was anything she could do, it was spit venom much more vile. All she needed was some inspiration and this building just wanted to inspire. At one point, Sashine stopped thinking about who was behind it all because she had no way of tracking who it was. Her senses weren't that defined and it was a waste of effort, really. All she had to do is wear it out. It seemed it was working because soon enough, the emotional barrage stopped and everything was silent and dead once more, almost peaceful.

Her body cooled down and she wiped the sweat off of her forehead, swept the dirt off of her dress and her breathing soon enough went back to a calm pace. There was still a sense of tension in the room but she wasn't as worried by it as she had been before. So far, it had rehashed things she had already dealt with or were only scary because of the lack of information. She was sure if the setting was anywhere but inside a dark cave, she could even smile at the situation. Sashine looked around the room again, her eyes now used to the darkness yet she still couldn't see what was ahead of her, where the wall was or the roof for that matter. She looked up to find that the roof seemed like a lake, its surface reflecting perfectly her movements yet they were not her own. The reflection of her moved down the walls of the cave, stepping in front of her. Every single spec of dirt, every stitch of her dress and every mannerism, she saw. Anywhere else, she would have found a quip to joke about the situation but she had already gone through enough emotional maneuvering that right now was simply not the time for it. she felt herself be fed up with this test. and was ready to put out her frustrations on anything, even if it was something as precious and perfect as herself.

Sashine pushed her shoulders back, the muscles cracking as she began to warm up her body for the movement that would come. Her head was tilted a third of the way up, her eyes angled up to look at her own reflection. Sashine let the emotions that had manifested in who knows how long she had been here, resurface in a rush. She sighed heavily, letting out all the tension in her body. The pink girl's stance was loose, calm and almost puppet-like as she waited for her mind to give the order as she scrambled together the emotions into one giant force. The reflection taunted Sashine but there was no response on her part, she remained focused, eyes narrowed and energy building up, even the weapon didn't scare her off. That reflection, it wasn't her and she could prove it.

The clone ran toward Sashine and she remained in her limp position, the knife angled at her chest. The original dodged to the left, taking advantage of the fact that her left hand and her left side were the weaker halves. It seemed that the same thought was on the other's mind as the knife had aimed to slash from the left, making a cut on her right arm as Sashine moved her body to the left. Sashine grimaced in pain, keeping focus on the illusion enough to step on the illusion's foot and use the position to hook her arms around the illusion's arms, holding her back from making movements and making the illusion's weapon drop.

The reflection pushed her head back reactively, smacking Sashine on the face and punishing her position. The illusion turned and Sashine used the few seconds to aim a punch into the reflection's eye. The fake pinkness used the momentum of her turn to hit Sashine in the close proximity with her elbow, utilizing the speed of the turn with the sharpness of the bone to hit the cut made by the knife. Sashine stumbled backwards and both girls ran towards each other, the fake one having the best reaction time from not having to stumble as much and landing Sashine on the ground, her back against the cave floor, the fake Sashine sitting on Sashine's waist to try to hold her down. The two struggled in an arm battle for dominance with Sashine losing out as she was rolled to the side, the ground rubbing against the cut that was now aching.

The reflection pushed her hands down completely, Sashine unable to do much of anything other than kick. The reflection moved her face down, ready to taunt her, the wicked grin opening to speak when Sashine decided to spit up into the air and onto the reflection, utilizing the surprise to push her off. The reflection wiped her eye quickly as Sashine ran in once more, reaching her target in time to scratch at the reflection's eyes, unfortunately, Sashine got grabbed by the shoulders and thrown behind the reflection where there seemed to be a wall, the curve of the building putting Sashine in an uncomfortable position where her head took most of the damage of the impact. Sashine reached out to where she knew the reflection would be, eyes closed and pulled on the dress of her opponent. She had been told many times that this clothing wasn't the best to have for fighting scenarios and she would use that to her advantage now, keeping a hold of the edge of the dress, running away from the wall and using the dress to spin the reflection around easily and fling her toward the wall. She used the information of her own landing on the wall to guess where the reflection's head would be and aimed a punch at its face once more.

The reflection fell on the ground and Sashine jumped up into the air and bending her legs, aimed to land her knees right on the reflection's gut using all of her weight. With a hard thud, Sashine landed as she began to claw at the reflection's face, eyes closed and clawing continuously like an animal. She could feel herself screaming but she didn't hear it.

Moments passed and Sashine's arms continued to swing into the ground of the cave viciously as her senses slowly came back. The first was smell and she could smell blood, her own. Illusion's didn't bleed out like this. Next came touch. she could feel her hands swinging back and forth, much slower than before, her nails clawing at her target and the sensation of wetness, her blood most likely. She also realized that there was nothing under her hands anymore as her nails hit the cold hard ground, only making a splash as her fingers continued to smack the blood on the ground. Her throat ached and felt dry and as she continued to claw the ground unable to stop herself now from the adrenaline, came her hearing.

"DIE. DIE DIE DIE. DIE. DIE DIE."

Sashine stopped, her eyes finally opening yet she couldn't see much of anything and she didn't need to. She was slightly aware of her surroundings by now. Her breathing was heavy and it hurt to breath, any saliva in her mouth seemed to fade instantly to ease her throat and there was a sense of numbing that was slowly leaving her body as she began to feel the small achings of pain. She sat there, waiting, letting the emotions pour over once more as the blood continued.

When all was said and done, Sashine would be able to feel the approval radiating from the room around her. She had overcome dread, her own fears, and even her own self. How much more, then, would she do for the village? Finally, the room seemed to lighten a little, the heavy feeling of fear and death lifting. The blood was gone from the floor, and the specter that little Sashine had so thoroughly butchered was nowhere to be found. However, there was a still a slick line of blood covering the floor, and the injury that Sashine sustained during her venture still persisted. What she knew about Genjutsu would not be able to rest her mind that these things were wholly non-real. Would that really matter? She had conquered her opponent.

After the girl had settled down, if she chose to stand up she would see the outline of a door on the side of a smooth wall. The ceiling was still shrouded with shadows, and if she looked closely, Sashine would see something like a pair of eyes looking back at her. You know what they say about staring into an abyss… Once the girl would get up to leave through the exit that was presented, she would see another ghostly figure before her. What now? The figure was neither male nor female, and within its hands it held a singular headband brandishing the symbol of the shinobi of Kumogakure.

The figure hands the headband to Sashine. “You who has conquered fear itself have proven yourself worthy to be counted among the ranks of the shinobi of Kumogakure no Sato. May Raiden grace you with a bountiful career. Remember, everything you do now, you do it for your village.” With those words barely gone, the ghostly figure was gone. Sashine was free, and now stronger than ever.

She didn't give one flying, pink and white, glittered damn about the resonance of approval. That certainly wouldn't lighten her mood right now. What did they think? She was surely emotionally sensitive to other but she wasn't a freaking mood mimic. That simply wasn't how emotions worked. The negative feelings left in the air but remained in the pink body. She continued to sit, unable to move coherently as she caught her breath, her body giving small shakes as it tried to wind down the excess energy boost. Her panting slowly came to a quiet huffed breath, like heavy sighs. The numbing feeling was leaving and she could feel only pain, pain that started at her wasted fingertips and traveled through her body. She didn't want to look down at them but she was sure she would need to regrow some of the nails and wait a long while as she healed before she could give a punch of make a handseal.

She stood up shakily, her knee joints feeling like they would snap off just by standing up but the pain being drowned out by the rest. If pains were physical manifestations, her body would be screaming all over, the skin opening to create a mouth opening that would scream and shout, asking for rest, attention, death, anything that would stop the pain. Sashine showed a grimace, her furrows browed, her eyes looking three-fourths of the way down. Her face seemed focused and yet, her mind was elsewhere at the moment, it was looking at her body from a distance. This was the only way to remove herself from the emotions when it was needed, from the feelings. She watched as the light came into the cave finally and her sense of sight was useful once more, her eyes straining to see through the brightness. She looked up at the ceiling, expecting to see the culprit but all she saw were eyes. She stared back at them, her expression turning into anger indicated by her quivering lip. She was afraid if she opened her mouth, she'd cry or scream so she looked back down and took her last few steps as a student.

The ghostly figure made her sickened. She want to center rage into it as well but she was worn out yet the emotional hole seemed endless like she could continue in rage and it would fuel itself in a loop. It made her body feel weak and useless in comparison. It made her feel like if she had a longer lasting body, she could go on forever, take the rage out on any moving object and continue until it wore out yet it would never wear out and even in best body, the body she occupied would end first. Sashine grabbed the headband with her wrists, her face flinching by the movement as she lifted the headband up to her face and held it with her teeth. She didn't care about what the illusion would say, she walked away and back to the forest as it spoke. She didn't see it vanish, she didn't need to see it vanish because she could feel it leave. She didn't want to look back, she felt she'd be stuck here forever if she did. All she could do was keep on walking.
