Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Place Your Bets: Miroku Akkuma Vs Hoshi

((Clean 1000 yen intervals please))

All seemed well enough in the Hisashī Zenshōsen Arena, the stadium was packed with curious and excited onlookers looking forward to the spectacle. Some paid for luxurious box-seats, those had to cost more than a months wage for an active shinobi. Resting in most of them were the world's elite, drawn from their respective corners of the world to see the first tournament of its kind. Few truly appreciated how significant this demonstration would be for the victor -- every customer (and this is one of those rare cases where the businessman is the consumer) wants the 'best' product and in this case the commodity being bought and sold was human. Still, there were profits to be made, even here. That was what Ryou was here for, to make his fortune because there was more than one way to make his fortune in the flesh trade.

Part of the disbanded Midnight Crew, he was somewhat disenfranchised with the concept of shinobism as well as their crackdown on organized crime in Kurosawa these past few months. Cleaning the way for foreigner arrival they said. Bullshit. Still, an oppertunity is an oppertunity. This box seat cost him three months rent and change, the least they could do is let him smoke. He removed the No Smoking sign and left it in the trash can. the muscle at either side would be enough of a deterrence he reasoned as he lit the cancer stick set between his teeth. "Alright boys, time to make us some petty cash." he announced as he sat a lockbox on the table and a pad of paper to the side.

Was it truly loyalty to one’s comrades to show faith in such a low place?
Kaji Okada entered the gambling pit with the hood of his black cloak high, dressed down and like a shadow as he stepped into the room. This place was a smoke-filled cesspool of the rich throwing away spare yen and the poor spending their last coin, hoping for a bit of luck. From the sports club perspective, the gambling hall presented a perfect view of the action down below. But to stay in this place as a welcomed spectator you had to have a certain affluence and a willingness to spend big. More armed swordsmen standing in the doorway promised thorough enforcement if the losers in this place— the ones out of gold, were not kicked out the moment they went broke.

Kaji found a grubby-handed bookie who was taking coins and recording a ledger at the center of the hall. He had a patch replacing an eye, most-likely the product of another lost bet. Approaching the counter, Kaji didn’t inspire much of a reaction from the one-eyed miscreant and tugged on his hood in an attempt further disguise himself. It was as-if Kaji was invisible to the bookie until he reached for his belt and unclasped a pouch. That single eye wandered to Kaji once gold shimmered in his hand.
“Looking to place a bet I see” said the bookie with an eager tone. “Feeling lucky? The favorite is Akkuma Miroku by a long shot…” His voice trailed off into silence once Kaji began dropping golden yen with the seal of the Lightning Country on them. “Hmm, I’d wager you’re a fan of the underdog then.”
“I wouldn’t call Shouyu Hoshi an underdog, that’s just an underestimation” Kaji corrected the bookie with a hint of confidence. “I’ve seen him take down a behemoth made from bone as tall as an ice cap in one well-placed blow.”
“So it will be a good match then?”
“Your favored demon won’t be able to withstand those hands... I’m putting in sixty thousand yen for Shouyu Hoshi to win.
“And what name should I put down for this bet?”
“Call me, Yoake.”
