There was a moment in everyone's lives where they evaluated their purpose; what were they here for? Koa, often, reflected on this and never found any solace in the quietness of her mind. She didn't know what her purpose was, and well, nobody could tell her what it was either - it was something that had to be discovered by one's self. The former chief had returned to the village, armed with her words, and a heavy weight on her shoulders that had not ceased to vacate. The woman stood at the gates, leaning against the wall, with her eyes just staring at the horizon of clouds, storms and hefty breezes that battered her frame; strands of her brunette hair flapped wildly against the breeze, often it had to be adjusted and located behind her ear only to disobey that order and continue to flap.
Beside the former chief rested a wooden cage, shaped somewhat like a cylinder, made from wicker and bark. She would smile as the animal inside squeaked and squealed to be free, a lively creature that couldn't be tamed for too long. Koa reached down in her white dress, ushered comfort in her voice, as her hands opened the basket and cupped the feathered breast - it attempted to fly away but was unsuccessful due to her grim, but gentle, grip. A small white wrapped was attached to the bird's foot, paw, thing. It didn't matter. The message was attached, written by Koa, to be sent to her husband and their band of misfits.
"Be swift and safe." The former chief would add, planting a kiss on the bird's feathered head, which probably gave her a diseases but yolo and all that. Immediately, upon releasing her grasp over the bird, it flew away to the desired location with haste.
