The truth will set you free, but first it will turn you inside out.

'Maki Hieress'
A letter had been delivered by courier to the Mission Dispatch Center. It was a plea for help, that of a young woman seeking protection during her brief stay in Sunagakure. Claiming to be the heiress of Maki fish empire. Considering her alleged age, one would possibly be pleasantly surprised to have such attractive companion. Striking blue eyes and porcelain-like skin, she had an otherworldly beauty to her. The job simple, an escort to accompany her and ensure her safety. The shift went without incident, some shopping and a show, it was astonishing in fact that there were any shops or theaters considering the attacks recently suffered. Her 'guard' was more a package transporter than a sentinel, the young 'heiress' seemed to burn money as if she won a shopping spree. In fact, one could say that the day thus far had been dull unless her watcher enjoyed shopping for accessories. There was one thing she was strict on, that being the time. She needed to be at Mao's Place at 2030.
That is where the evening ended, at a restaurant in the Desert Crown at 2030 at a table was reserved under the name Merchant Maki.

Mao's Place was a nightclub located in The Desert Crown. A sanitary place, however, is no less seedy. It was an exclusive club, the kind only the most wealthy men and women in Sunagakure frequent. Music, lights, good drinks, well better than what could be found in other clubs. The club was also a den for illegal activity although for the most part officials looked the other way, white-collar crime just seemed to lack the bloody-knuckle appeal street crime possessed. Insider trading, accounting and spreadsheet 'errors' were the most dire crimes this club ever had to deal with, weapons and questionable substances (be it recreational or otherwise) were to be left at the door. For the most part, those who came here complied, although there has been a rare incident otherwise security was more than 'capable' of disarming the problem.[/legend]
The shift was to end at 2100, apparently the body guard's relief was supposed to be there for a shift change. The young woman took a seat at the back of the nightclub restaurant and waved the waiter away when he offered the house wine, announcing softly "I brought my own but I would like an appetizer please. Anything but fish -- no one in my family can stand the smell."<i></i> She confided but she seemed troubled, nervous even as she drummed her freshly manicured fingers on the tablecloth. From an over-sized purse she pulled out a rather expensive bottle of wine, in fact pricier than anything this establishment offered. "Eight thirty five, almost the end of your shift. Would you share a drink before your shift ends?" Before he could answer, she popped the cork with her teeth and poured him a glass. It was more than a normal serving, treating the glass more like a goblet than a glass and slid it over to the interesting man.
