He had received a letter from the Groom of the wedding a day or two before venturing to the Dojo. It was a genuine letter stating that Kuro wanted to make sure Zenichi was being cared for. Zenichi had accomplished a lot in the few months he had been in Suna. He had accomplished a meeting with the Kazakage. He had spent some time in the Academy. And he had even made a few friends here and there. The last thing on his list was to fight someone from Suna and win. He had already fought one person in this very Dojo but that ended up being more of a draw than anything. He bound his enemy and then ran for fear of his life. A deep red scar would forever remind him of his cowardliness. He couldn’t leave Suna without a chance to right a personal wrong in his life.

Taking a cue from the letter, he decided to see if the master of the dojo would help him prove himself once again. If he couldn’t hold his own this time, he had made the decision to return to Konoha and admit his failure as a ninja. Maybe the Hokage would take pity and only force him to leave the village in shame. He hoped in all that he was that he could return to Leaf with a bit more confidence and ready to be trained by the Senju Overlord.

He walked into the main entrance and looked around. The Dojo must be bigger then he could imagine because while the decor is very similar, he couldn’t imagine that he was anywhere near the place the Wedding was held.

Kyojin Kuro emerged from the remnants of the former throne of brone now slowly being remodeled into a monument & elemental prison for the remnant of Djinn. The stone walkways were slightly cracked here and there and crimson sand flowed effortlessly through the rubble pulling it here and there, rearranging tiles, fixing benches and standing up racks of items and weapons. . Kyojin Kuro stood at seven feet and weighed in at four hundred and fifty pounds. He wore a sand camouflage pattern heavy armor made of Takahashi fire-forged steel with matte-black transformation seals allowing it to switch from desert colors to pitch black dependent on Kuro’s vocal command or four tap sonic patterned code along his right thigh plate. Kyojin Kuro wore a matching belt and sheath around his waist where he had sheathed a pair of blade attachments for his battle gauntlets. Kyojin Kuro wore his battle pouch atop the belt it was a simple lizard leather pouch but easily camouflaged by rubbing it with sand or crushed stone if ever necessary just above his right hip. Kyojin Kuro wore his leg sheath on the interior of his left armored thigh just atop his silk gi shorts. A convenient slot in the multi-folded steel of his left thigh armor allowed Kyojin Kuro full access to his items without showing exactly where it was till he motioned to grab it. Securing his Takahashi forged battle guards and lower leggings were Kyojin Kuro’s enhanced runic terran sealed leather wraps for his hands, forearms, shins and feet. Kyojin Kuro had wrapped his armored tail around his belt making it appear that Kuro wore a belt of armor resembling hand-sized reinforced double blades. Kyojin Kuro wore his mane of silver hair in tight war braids in ancient ceremonial fashion making his oxen horns much more pronounced but also making him look like a serious battle veteran, massive chakra gems implanted into his flesh and endoskeletal structure stood out on the back of his hands as well as one in the center of his forehead at the crest of his skull. The chakra gem in his left hand was emerald green with a spiral of a star in its center, if you looked at it closely and long enough one could see where it interfaced with the flesh and bone with tiny bio crystal circuits. The chakra gem in his right hand was ruby red with a six point star in its center, this one also interfaced with his flesh and bone with tiny bio crystal circuits. In the center of his forehead was a massive sunstone. This is an extremely rare chakra gem that is occasionally found in the deep deserts after being unearthed by the giant sandwyrms. Only the strongest of people could lift them due to their density and this body had one implanted in its skull and interfacing with his brain. It was a unique feeling to say the least but the interface with the sunstone allowed Kuro to dramatically pulse chakra throughout this body which was one of the keys to his transformational capabilities. It also allowed him to control his metabolic rate at a degree he had never believed was possible. His dark flesh was runed with runic terran seals and tattoos. His horns looked as if they were part of his armor along with his gems but the discerning eye would know that they were part of this giant's body. He smiled and greeted Zenichi. "Welcome to the Throne of Bone and the remnants of the Grand Hall of combat. How may the Toraono Clan assist you?"

Zenichi would never be able to get used to the look of Turo. While his mannerism seemed nice enough to charm the off a prude, and his style of clothes showed he had money to spare, his size and rugged looks were overpowering to the eyes. They would strike fear into the timid and Zenichi wasn't sure if that he didn't fall into that category too.

When I was here for your Wedding, I left something behind. My Honor.

I thought fights were fun and full of bravado. In the first few seconds of a fight, I was slashed across my chest so deeply, I thought my very sould would escape the cavity. Out of fear for my life, I put your Suna-nin in a sort-of mindbind and ran away. I was scared for my life and feel ashamed that I failed my first real test as a ninja.

So I return to the place of my shame in hopes of redemption. I'm not so honorable as to commit Seppuku but feel that if I can't face the fear of battle, I must admit my shame to the Hokage and be at his mercy.

Do you have anyone who can challenge me as an equal so I may learn my true colors?

Kyojin Kuro bowed and walked him out to a clear courtyard and called for a referee... "I can easily compensate you for your honor as it would be my honor to meet you in battle, we can fight till you are satisfied and I will hold myself back to make sure you have an even chance. I must warn you though I will not hold back in my techniques or abilities only in the amount of power I wield. If this is okay with you a referee from the village will adjucate this battle as I seal some of my power away in my chakra gems."<i></i>

Not waiting for an answer whether or not he would accept the terms Kyojin Kuro placed sixty percent of his actual strength inside of his own chakra gems to be released after his match. He then sealed them for the rest of the day.

Zenichi was oddly put off by the answer Kuro gave. Instead of finding a protege to have him spar with, he instead offered himself as an opponent. A slightly handicapped opponent, to make things equal. At first, he thought about rejecting the idea. Mostly due to fear of the man. But before he found the courage to voice such opposition, he realized that this could be to his advantage. If the gigantic man were to hinder his skills to that of a Chuunin, his size would become a hindrance. Zenichi was still small and spry. He could use his speed and agility to his advantage while the wall of a man struggled to keep up. It would be definitely bragging rights if he were to knock out the Dojo Master.

Two great warriors prepared themselves for honorable combat, the demonic Sennin capped his power and pulled himself into a fighting stance. Inside Zenichi a forsaken power brewed and he released the power of his Cursed Seal. In exchange for power it is said that cursed seals take from the end of one's lifespan. Would Zenichi live long enough to know the final consequences of the seal he bore? The visiting shinobi's body became covered in runic glyphs. Kuro took the initiative and hardened his body before he shot himself with great propellant force at Zenichi. Zenichi was prepared for this first attack, a clone met Kuro's critical fury and Zenichi was gone... While Kuro did not know where Zenichi was located but he somehow determined his young man's hidden location. He blindly attacked Zenichi's supposed location with another Orge Rage attack that sent him in the direction of Zenichi. Zenichi's evasive maneuvers caused the first attack to miss entirely and while his follow-up strike was a near hit that almost grazed the young Kohonan and the final strike hit him squarely with such a concussive impact that he was left momentarily dazed [suppressed]. Kuro's ShiShi no Ken had special properties, Zenichi's chakra energy was being drained and he was back in plain sight. Kuro followed up with an additional unarmed attack that Zenichi avoided but his finalattack struck him yet again. Zenichi attacked Kuro with -something-, whatever it was, it hurt.<i></i>

Kyojin Kuro laughed evilly as Zenichi unleashed his power, "That is a very strong seal, young one. I fear you may be overestimating the strength of your opponent. Allow me to show you what you should actually be doing when facing a larger opponent." Kyojin Kuro had already limited himself but he did not mind it was best to limit your self when training younger initiates. Zenichi's speed was good but his tactics were off, he did not analyze his opponents. Although he could simply be testing the waters, Kyojin Kuro did not plan to let this battle go on long enough for any real weaknesses in himself to be learned. He was going to impart his lesson and get back to his duties. "Your initial feint was very good, but you must follow up each feint with an attack."

Kuro uses specific handseals that Zenichi can see that he is using a 'Cancel' jutsu.
He grins at Zenichi as he opens his stance while summoning a massive amount of chakra.


"You will never face another opponent capable enough to manage this tactic, I hope you appreciate this."

Zenichi felt the power Overlord Kazuki had placed within him. It was a strange, yet wonderful feeling. He felt that he could become entangled with it's sultry whims of power, delicately spiking the chakra in his inner core. He felt something akin to the first (an only) time that he had tried coffee. He was almost about to be more confident than last time until Kuro said that he was using the wrong seal. His tactic worked out in his head, Speed vs Strength. He knew he couldn't match the giant man but he had a feeling that he could over maneuver him.

That may be so but your weakness is evident by your size. If I can move faster than you, you will spend more energy trying to land a hit.

To prove his point, Zenichi dodged Kuro's first attack. But Kuro showed that simple games of hide and seek won't win the match.

Time to take the big guy down.

<COLOR color="darkblue">Zenichi's two strikes hit Kuro squarely. His tendons and ligaments are painfully strained from the blunt force. He could feel his bone bow and crack. His leg was fractured. Despite the physical pains Kuro was experiencing, the Sennin was also aware that there was something infiltrating his mind, possibly clouding his judgement. He used a technique to dispel the effects of the mysterious illusionary attack. His leg was less painful now, but he felt debilitated still. Zenichi continues his assault on Kuro, damaging his legs and causing blood loss. Kuro grapples Zenichi and gets him into a hold but Zenichi was still somehow able to get off an attack of his own. A web of vines wrap around Kuro, attempting in incapacitate him as well. Kuro somehow musters the power to seal Zenichi with the Lunar Seal.

Taking note that he was bound Kyojin Kuro decided to wait till he was attacked at which time he would use a special taijutsu to escape. After wards Kuro would again attempt to alleviate the genjutsu upon him. Once he attempted to relieve the genjutsu upon him. He would attempt to heal his leg and then use the remainder of his strength to push Zenichi to the right path.
"Managing to break my leg is very impressive but I can manage without one, or I can simply heal it." Kyojin Kuro focused his chakra to remove the genjutsu he was under before focusing on healing his leg. Stretching his injury within the limits of the roots and vines binding him to assure he was ready to continue Kuro decided some simple attacks were in order. "I have placed the seal upon you to denote how you would best fare in a battle with one such as me. If you figure out what you should do, then I will declare you the winner of this match."<i></i>

Content that he had set Zenichi on the right path Kuro readied himself to punish the young warrior should he chose the wrong path.

Zenichi's confidence grew with each action. The tempo of the fight was an orchestra for him to direct as the conductor. As the strings lead in the harmony, he lays in the brass as a deeply rooted melody that creeps into your head. With each punch, he would lead with a crescendo that was escalated to the moment of impact, only to flow softly as the blood would trickle from open wounds. He was starting to enjoy it as an artist would reflect on their own work with marvel.

As his spirits reached an all time high, the unexpected arrived. As Zenichi danced around the giant, Kuro was able to use his size to his advantage and grabbed Zenichi into a bear hug type of maneuver. Zenichi was so thrown off by being quickly immobilized that he barely knew how to recover. Luckily, the Senju clan of Konoha was in tune with nature. Roots broke through the Dojo floor and grabbed at Kuro. The image inside the Dojo became one of war. Vines everywhere grabbed for anything that moved while the giant Suna-nin tightly held the Leaf-nin.

Just as Zenichi felt he had his opponent in Check, he was surprised that he was able to make one last move to place a seal on Zenichi

As soon as Kuro placed the seal, Zenichi fell to the floor. Sweet air filled his lungs, only then did he realize that he fear had frozen him enough that he wasn't even breathing. After a few breaths, he looked at Kuro and listened to his advice. Zenichi countered with his own.

I can feel the power of a new seal upon me. For that I thank you. But I won't be needing it to finish you. For now, you are bound in my coils as if a Snake to a Mouse. I have grown more in these past few seconds than in the past year. Let me show you my strength.

Kuro attempts to break free of his bindings. Kuro then attempted to fortify his body. His fractures began to mend, the pain subsides.

"Your binding skills are very impressive, despite using my taijutsu I am unable to break free at the moment, still I am reasonably certain that you will know what techniques would best win this battle now."<i></i> Kyojin Kuro readied himself to receive the attack he felt was certain to come since his opponent had spent time channeling his potential. He was bleeding internally despite mending his broken bone but that was an easy fix for him to pursue later. For now he needed to focus on his response to his opponent's tactics. They were effective they simply needed to be more direct and in Kyojin's mind explosive.

I feel that the battle is lost for me before we have even began. While I may be faster than you, your size makes my punches a lot less effective. I'll try it your way after I try one last time to break through your tough shell.

Zenichi was going to give it his all these last seconds. Fight or flight, this would determine what defined his abilities were and what kind of fighter he could be.

Zenichi ended his terrible genjutsu, ephemeral. Much of what Kuro had thought he had endured he had not and much of what Kuro thought he had done in turn to Zenichi had happened differently. The lunar seal was never burned into Zenichi's body and the vines that wrapped Kuro were no more as they never were. The true depths of Kuro's pain and disability were now apparent, he had suffered greater damages than he knew and Zenichi had exhausted a great deal of his own chakra energies, greater than what Kuro had realized. Poison also rushed through Kuro's veins, he was poisoned. The poison was not escaping his body through wounds he thought were inflicted upon the Sennin's frame, there was no blood loss any longer. Had he ever been cut? That is impossible to know. Despite the effects of Skeletal Fortification, his legs were still full of pain. The effects of his jutsu should have mended his bones but they still felt as if they were fractured.

Zenichi attacks Kuro with a barrage of attacks. They hit Kuro completely and one of them dazes him briefly (suppression). Kuro responds in kind with a counterattack where he almost grapples Zenichi into a hold. The fractures in his legs and the black lotus toxin that flowed through him and diminished his capacity to grab hold of Zenichi. But Kuro followed through with a barrage of additional attacks as did Zenichi. Zenichi's Shoryuken Master attack hit Kuro completely and he used this opportune moment to immediately follow-up his attack with Dragon Assault. Most of his attacks hit Kuro, but some grazed or completely missed but one of his attacks hit him harder than most and he was momentarily dazed (suppression). Kuro, on the other hand, was using basic attacks against Zenichi since his grapple attack was ineffective. Several of his attacks hit Zenichi.

Kuro smiled as he finally understood all of Zenichi's movements despite the fact Zenichi had not used ninjutsu which was really the only thing truly effective against a monster of his state he had in turn used genjutsu and treachery to almost reach the same state of damage. Though his lesson was not imparted he could live with the remnant of the lesson Zenichi did learn. 'Don't rush a giant with normal attacks' "I am impressed by your zeal and resolve to stick to what you know and while I had hoped to impart greater knowledge to you, you instead imparted your tenacity and patient skill to me. This is your match, feel free to challenge me at the Toraono dojo anytime you visit and I promise you will not be disappointed."<i></i> Kuro bowed in honor and happiness. He then stood up and gave Zenichi a firm handshake imparting the lunar seal he had meant to give originally.

Zenichi was giving his all. An ancient proverb once said asked that happens when the immovable object met the unstoppable force. The mammoth Sennin was true to form and Zenichi wondered if he could be considered and force at all. He gave his all for 2 solid rounds now. His hands hurt with each hit and he knew that it would take a few weeks for the full range of movement to return. He wondered if Ice was a luxury in the desert.

I thank you for the sparing match. I feel that we compliment each other because we are opposites. I can hit you but not damage you. You have trouble hitting me but whenever you make contact, I see stars. I'm not sure who would win in a fight between the two of us but I'm positive that we both would pretty badly wounded and needing medical attention.

Before I have to leave Suna on a stretcher, I think I'm going to end here while I still can. You have given me the confidence I needed to follow my destiny as a ninja. If you are ever in Leaf, you have to promise me a rematch.

Also, I will gladly take that Cursed Seal now.

With a handshake and a nod, Zenichi was off to a future of infinite possibilities.
