ϟ Arashi has fairly chocolate toned skin and naturally as a shinobi she has a few scars from various sources.
ϟ He doesn't wear a headband anymore like he did in his youth, preferring to forgo sporting one however he does still carry it with him.
ϟ Though he had an incredible sweet tooth when he was younger, much about him matured more than he expected as he doesn't to much enjoy candy. Chalking it up to over doing it as a youth, the thought of eating candy gives him a sickly feeling.
ϟ His blade Hari, which once stayed on his person has since been retired. He now weilds a broader blade though unlike Hari he has yet to find a name to represent it.
Mental Description
ϟ Extremely Loyal: Like the majority of his clan, Arashi has a bred sense of loyalty to Kumogakure. This has remained unchanged over time.
ϟ Down to earth: Arashi cannot be bought or swayed simply because he lacks the drive to truly want or desire anything in life. He lives rather to simply serve as a shinobi with no aspirations of anything else.
ϟ Processed Mind but Equally Vocal: Although he rarely speaks out his personal opinions of various matters, Arashi is constantly calculating things within his head. Something learned through maturity however is that one should not be afraid to speak up and it is something he does a lot more of.
Background History
Arashi was born the youngest of three siblings and is naturally close to his sister Ejji due to their closeness in age. Having been born merely eleven months after Ejji the two were raised almost like twins and acted as such. Like every other member of the Raitoningu Clan, Arashi was given the lightning kanji sealed onto his chest. It was apparent however from an early age that although the two were fated for shinobi-hood each had very different personalities and natural talents. While his sister was easily well versed in learning the clan's secret kenjutsu arts, Arashi's potential in this category did not mature as easily. Furthermore while his sister also inherited strongly the clan's affinity for controlling lightning, Arashi had become the inheritor of something that widely shocked the clan. It was a known fact for the Raitoningu that their clan had been void of any bloodline traits since they became a clan so many generations ago, as no documented proof or evidence of any member of the clan developing abilities related to genetics had existed. However this understanding was shattered when Arashi while undergoing the routine chakra control skills taught to the children of the clan unknowingly and accidentally tapped into something that had been hidden well in the clans previous generations, the Byakugan. Speculation and surprise rippled through the clan as word got out about this incident and nothing within the clan archives gave any hint as to how these genes had gone unnoticed and recessive up until Arashi. While no big fuss was made of the spectacle, the clan did garner a sense of self pride which they kept to themselves in knowing that somewhere in all their genes was the link to the famed Hyuuga clan. Regardless of knowing this, to date Arashi has been the only Raitoningu member to physically show any signs of being able to tap into the recessive genes.
Because there was no precedent for training such an ability within the clan, Arashi had to learn how to utilize his byakugan on his own while also learning the clan's NinTaijutsu and Kenjutsu skills. Because of this he developed his own hybrid style that combined his clan teachings with his blood's ability and for this the clan coined him with the title "Raiden's Prodigy" among themselves. He himself didn't really think much of the name and neither did he openly live up to it as his sister Ejji quickly rose to become the obviously more skilled child between the two of them. This did not cause any rifts in their brother/sister relationship but instead seemed to concrete it as their personalities reflected in this understanding as well. While he was intensely unmotivated to go beyond mere skill and perfect the art his sister was the complete opposite and it was something he internally respected highly. His academy days were normal as most children's were. He made average marks in a majority of his classes however like many others who came from clans with natural affinities for certain arts, classes which revolved around taijutsu were where he earned higher marks than others. Having become a genin at the same time as his sister, he has sense been training and honing his byakugan's abilities in private if only to heed the advice of his sibling. He was going to become stronger solely to protect the village and his family better than he currently could and to this the two had made a pact to always have each others back.
Arashi just recently returned to actively being a shinobi of Cloud, having spent some time recovering from an illness. Though he doesn't yet participate in missions, he is an has been training to build his body and skills back up.
