Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Character's Physical Description:
Lightly shaded mud colored hair rests just barely past the shoulder blades of this young man. Looking at him gives you a sense of relaxation, a calmness that simply is undeniable. It's as though his presence in general could instill the peace and ambiance of what he feels inside of you. A tender age, nineteen, grants him a height of a flat six feet tall and his build is not one muscular at all. In fact, limbs sturdy but small, his frame is not impressive at all. By no means is Meiji flat around the edges but he's nowhere near beefy. His eyes are an ocean blue color and have a keen edge behind them despite his aloof countenance.

A usual attire for the man would be a maroon colored shirt that cuts to just above the chest area with a low dipping circle. Above that rests a dark blue jacket that just looks very cool. It fits his style and he likes it; alright? Standard dark colored pants go with the outfit and sandaru remain the same. His headband rests around his neck if you look.

Character's Mental Description:
He's healthy if that's what you're asking. Nothing really out of the ordinary save for the fact that while children drempt of being the hero of the stories, Meiji always thought of how it would be to fair as the villain. There was no 'good' side for him only the side that wins. Whether or not you wish to write this down in a report of some sort is your own volition. Terms such a Justice and Evil hold no meaning to him. 'Get what I want how I want' is a better way to describe It, I suppose. More so the type to enter a situation simply to do so if it benefits him is what Meiji is all about.

Character History:
Is it always a thing to ask any and everythig about someone? Are we not Ninja and, as such, be allowed to keep a few things to ourselves as secrets? No? Very well then. His story is one simple and plain. The tale begins in a village of Mist and continues into one with stones. There is a woman there, a man as well, and perhaps a baby? Ah, yes, a child is right along with the pair as a young, adorable and pinchy cheeked baby. The three could say that they were happy, granted the baby didn't have much of a choice in the matter. So long as those two remained around he was perfectly fine and happy.

The man and woman, however? They needed other things to make them happy. It wasn't so simple as something coming into existance for them to help sustain them and, as such, they had to go and put in a bit of effort to manage a life. Now it just so happens that mommy woman and daddy man were in a specific profession that allowed for them to do things known as 'missions' for money. Whether it was simply going out for a few hours and then coming back or going for a few days to weeks to coming back; mommy and daddy weren't really home much. They didn't abandon the baby, of course, but work -did- come first in order to keep life moving on.

The child was never alone though. Upon an age old enough to speak and think for his own self[Five] the child discovered a liking to specific people. These specific people were mommy, daddy, and care-taker. It sucks though when it all comes crashing down around you at a young age. Everything you know kind of loses meaning when you lose the only things that really keep you happy and going. Eh...an odd life but one that has to be lived out.

Fifteen years later? Yeah, he's still living it. In the very same profession as mommy and daddy. His views are a bit different from a child because whatever makes him happy varies far and few in between. Whenever it comes up though he does fight to hold onto it.

For every great person there is an equally great tale behind them. Whether they truly wish to spread this tale of greatness is left decided for them to tell or not to tell, not because they are afraid of what people would say when learning what had to be gone through in order to obtain such greatness; but because once you actually pull through and understand just how much you've sacrificed and taken just to get to where you got, you question if they deserve to hear your story. It's a loathsome feeling when someone cannot possibly understand your struggles yet try.

In clear continuiation one can assume that this began around his eleventh birthday or so. Meiji, as he know refered to himself instead of the name given him by his late parents, hadn't really done much with his life. What could he do? He was no prodigy for sure, there was nothing ultra special about him; nothing that could topple the leagues of shinobi ahead of him in one fell swoop of a blade or, in his case, bow. Yes bow. It hadn't been too long ago he had discovered a knack for the art of archery. Perhaps a trait passed down by his mother and father or one of them, the main point was that he could use a bow and arrow and he was 'good' at it.

Nothing too fancy really, just being able to cap an apple into a tree with a notched arrow if he focused enough time and patience. Practice had to be perfect, aim had to be flawless, nothing could go wrong. The situation, the ambiance, the surrounding atmosphere could not be disturbed in order for the archer to focus on the task at hand. The first time he'd done it perfectly was when he'd heard the voice. It was soothing, comforting to him and in a way he couldn't deny that he needed to hear it. For his sake, for his sanity's sake. Being alone and without -something- just drove him into a solitude unlike any other and...it really felt like a void constantly sucking from him all life until decomposition.

Sweaty, so very sweaty. Droplets of water splashed over the face of an eleven year old Meiji bled down as if boiling hot and rushing to find solace along the ground. The bow, he'd had as a leftover item from his mother and father, was raised and an arrow was notched almost perfectly with no movement save for the slight jitter and every now and again twitch from the kid himself. His target was simply a tree before his sights and there was no obstacle at all left before him to try and hinder this action.

No excuse....None at all.

A blink, a tilt, the wind whistling and finally the sound of bark flying from one end of the tree before clattering against the ground with a soft noise revealed that the arrow had sailed right along the side of the tree, completely missing his mark and taking pieces of tree-bark with it. Now while this wouldn't be such a huge deal for some people, Meiji couldn't shake the stare and stirring annoyance at having missed so blatantly. The bow should have been lined perfectly, arrow notched the very same, yet he missed?

It wasn't uncommon for the shape of the bow to be messed up and thus, the way it fired thrown off, but Meiji simply scooted those thoughts under the rug of 'it doesn't matter'. This was a gift from his parents, a treasure no matter how much he hated it at the moment. If anything throwing a tantrum over missing a few times would be dishonorable in their name because..in a way, the bow was like his father and the arrow like his mother. The line much like the caretaker he had as well.

The Bow, sturdy, strong and somewhat bendable, just like his father. The arrow was graceful in appearance, sharp-tipped and deadly when used right, otherwise it wouldn't hurt a fly; his mother. The line held it all together, brought the two together, brought him to be able to -use- it no matter how badly. Just like his caretaker.

By the time the thought finished Meiji hadn't noticed that he'd retreived the very same arrow with trembling fingers and had moved back to his very same spot. Still trembling, the arrow was notched back once more and the bow raised, the string flexing to accomodate his will. Like this, it felt natural. It felt....right, in a way. His father, his mother, his caretaker and him, all together once more whether in spirit or in person. They were all gathered and it gave him the warm feeling of 'wholeness'.

He hadn't noticed his fingers stopped tembling as his eyes closed and he simply took in the moment and reveled in them all being together once more. The string flexed once more, this time eased in pressure, the bow stayed perfectly still and the arrow sung through the air with a musical sound as a thunk bit back and the arrow punctured the dead center of the tree. It was very odd though, despite having landed such a perfect shot. He didn't feel anything until retrieving the arrow, with great effort. It was -then- that he'd felt the wonderful embrace of warmth around him suddenly and a whisper in his ear.

Magnificent. Such a shot of perfection.

The words did not linger nor did they sway, it simply was as though it were the truth and absolutely nothing would prevent such a thing from being the truth. Although Meiji did not speak he had a question as to whether that was him or not, though on the inside he'd known quite well that it was not -him-. The warm feeling had not faded but the voice hadn't spoken up again.

From that point on Meiji's resolve to master the weapon had only grown, not for him, but for the sake of his entire family. In this bow and arrow, through him, he would carry his parents legacy. Each and every moment of becoming better, every advancement of skill in the usage of his bow garnished him a word or phrase of approval from the guardian spirit that watched over him. It had to be a culmination of his parents and guardian all in one. That was the only solution he'd thought of when at first coming to terms with everything around him.

The truth? He had just latched onto the first thing that felt like home and ran with it. Meiji had become aware down the later years of his life, through training and what not, that the bow and arrow hadn't been his 'parents' but an entity all on its own.

To feel as though all of your troubles are simply on the tip of your arrow. You wish to guide them -away- from you, to project them into even your enemy if you must so that they may understand exactly who it is that they come against. This is your goal as well as my very own. I am no parents of yours nor shall I pretend to be. I have watched you grow, I have been by your side through the entirety of your life thus far and I shall continue to reside here. You may address me as Ninlil.<i></i>

The entrance didn't hold much power behind it but to Meiji he listened to every word like the nectar of life. His fingers held the bow and while he didn't feel the need to openly kneel and thank the spirit for keeping him warm for the years they had been together, the archer did feel the want to ask a question, ''Your goal is my very own?'' and so he did. He was not a man of many words and for him to speak at all told Ninlil that he trusted her enough.

It is your ambition to become something and I, too, wish to see you flourish as the warrior you seek to become. We are but an extension of one another in a way and I seek only success, thus I know you are very much the same. Come, embrace me as you have done many times before and I shall hold to you and carry you. Have faith.<i></i>

He did.

Yet not a day goes by that he regrets such faith. Ninlil reached out and pulled him up when no one else bothered. His gratefulness to the weapon spans over a thousand miles long and the only way for him to repay her is to become what it is they both wished for. Could he do it? Most definitely. Would he do it? Meiji would give his everything to make the dream come true. No matter how unfair the world is, if he could get to where he had to get in order to make his dream come true, nothing would stand in his way.

As per that topic Kakeru swapped Canine to Fox. Did you at any point swap back?

Oh, actually I had forgotten that I switched. I think I just put the last one I remembered having. I apologize for that. It's still Fox then.

The issue being that Kakeru earned his contract due to reclamation from Takumi. Contract reclamation are a one time only thing, so unfortunately, until stated otherwise, that contract has to stay with Kakeru and may not be transferred over.
