Character's Physical Description:
Kaguya Daigo is a tall, toned, dark brown man with a slim yet muscular physique. While naturally shaggy and matted, he now rocks a jet black wavy style caesar haircut with a chin strap beard, 5 O’clock shadow on his cheeks, and a neatly trimmed tuft tip goatee. Being the son of both an inuzuka as while as a kaguya much like his cousin, Daigo takes after both his parents. From his mother’s side of the family, he developed feral facial features like pricked ears, razor sharp claws in place of frail nails, enhanced senses, an affinity towards canines, and rather sharp cuspids. From his father’s side of the family, Daigo gained advanced natural healing, a very strong skeletal structure, decent muscle mass, enhanced strength, enhanced reflexes, enhanced flexibility, among many other traits.
He possesses crimson red eyes, small cheek dimples when he smirks, a small thin diagonal scar through his right eyebrow, and three long yet very thin horizontal scars stretching from the left side burn, across both his eyelids and the bridge of his nose to the other side burn. Unlike Daisuke, Daigo followed the customary tradition in the Kaguyan bloodline to preserve his family lineage through a marking ritual without being compelled by the death of his parents. Daigo’s forearms have been marked extensively, from wrist to elbow, in an intricate tribal tattoo design using the primate, canine, and a mystery beast symbol to represent strength, honor, and courage respectively. Other tribal tattoos include the following: none so far, but he will gain a few more. When working, he maintains a professional appearance by wrapping his arms, from his knuckles to his elbows, in bandages. The image below is the closest visual representation of the marking that could be found.

Character's Mental Description:
At a very early age, Daigo was diagnosed with a form of antisocial personality disorder known as psychopathy, however his symptoms conflicted with the illness. Upon asking for more clarification, the doctor stated that a person suffering from antisocial personality disorder, or more specifically psychopathy, can understand emotions like love, pain, empathy and so on, but they can’t feel these emotions at all. The doctor went on to state that it didn’t necessarily mean that a person with this illness is violent. It just meant that this person was without a conscience. Lacking normal emotion, they tend to manipulate everyone around them, lie pathologically, and are rather promiscuous. Psychopathy is just genetic in general. There is really nothing that can be done about it. While he possessed the traits of a textbook psychopath, he lacked the violent outbursts and the complete absence of emotion. It was for this reason that he was classified as a “high functioning” sociopath instead. Highly valuing the importance of education and an occupation, Daigo was well educated and remained gainfully employed whilst beginning to commit various crimes for the thrill of it. He easily remained calm in situations deemed very stress worthy and most everything he did was meticulously premeditated and planned. He was capable of emotional attachment although it was difficult to achieve and despite his capacity for emotions, he seemed to disregard social mores as a whole when he was younger.
He has since learned to fit in and behave himself, tricking people into believing he was a normal person by using what he believed to be superior intellect and superficial charm to display an appreciative, kind hearted, and selfless facade. In a long term attempt to be normal, he tends to humble himself and prefers not to fight. However, it should be noted that he has no moral, spiritual, psychological, or emotional issue with either taking a life or exploiting others for personal profit and pleasure. He has made this tremendous effort all these years to avoid being a crazed stereotype and as such, he has developed a sense of self loathing over time, believing himself to be a fake person who constantly hides his true nature and intentions just to be liked and accepted by everyone around himself. The worst part is that he doesn’t even care about other people’s views towards him, but he tries to seem approachable as having a good relationship with others means he can manipulate them much easier. Knowing deep in his heart that he’s instinctively nice to others solely to use them later makes him dislike himself even more.
Despite his bad upbringing and his mental illness, Daigo has a strong desire to be just like everyone which is why he seeks psychological treatment on a regular basis. For all his efforts, Daigo still has a darker side within himself. He learned to manage his darker urges so that it does not spill over into his social life or affect his work. As a result, Daigo participates in risky behavior like occasionally attending events at the black lotus resort, and recently becoming a career criminal where he commits both blue and white collar crimes outside kumogakure. It should be noted that he only targets and commits crimes against other known criminals as this makes him seem morally justified. Daigo has fears just like anyone else. In fact it was his fear of being locked away like a stereotypical psychopath that drove him to attempt to be normal. Daigo is afraid of death, only because he doesn’t know what is on the other side assuming that there even is an other side. That being said, the kaguya clan holds no grudges and thus Daigo has no problem dying so long as it serves a purpose or as long as he dies for what he believes in.

Kaguya Bloodline App: WC: 500
Since childhood, Daigo and Daisuke were trained by their uncle, Kaguya Dashi who would later on become a future anbu of cloud, in the kaguya clan's ways. Not every kaguya could perform these techniques so easily due to the initial pain one would feel, but both youngsters knew the power of their bloodline and desired the power all the same. Their first task in training was simple enough; sparring. Not only did it help the boys familiarize their selves with basic combat skills, but it also helped them build up a necessary tolerance for pain. No doubt a skill they would need later on in their training. Daigo would normally start off his training session by sparring with his older cousin, Daisuke. Of course, he would always lose, but that never stopped him from trying. After months of training in hand to hand combat, weapon based sparring would take place. Single handed, heavy, long ranged, projectile, and ranged weapons were all used until Daigo found a type of weapon that worked best for him.
The painful strikes were worth it in the end. It taught Daigo not to rush his attack and to constantly maintain his defenses which keep his senses sharp. Over time it became evident that the training was working. Daigo realized that normal attacks did not harm him as much as it should have. Things like crates falling on his feet left only minor bruising, which would heal in just a few hours rather than weeks or days. His skeletal structure was becoming more dense, his strength increased with every passing day, and his natural healing abilities were quite impressive. Months later, Dashi began to teach his nephews the clan’s distinctive dance. The next step in their training was to learn how to dance. As silly as it seems, the kaguya clan were graceful fighters to say the least. They prided themselves on not wasting movements during battle. In this way, others might have attempted to compare kaguya's dance to the movements of a hyuuga's gentle fist fighting style. Sadly Daigo had two right feet, but even he learned the dead bone pulse fighting style after a while. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months before Daigo finally learning to be a bit more graceful.
Dashi taught Daigo the basics about being a kaguya. He taught him about the clan’s dance, the natural healing ability and the bone density that all helped shape the kaguyas into warriors, but there was one last thing Dashi decided to teach him before he left for cloud permanently. It was the clan’s most basic and fundamental technique known as the willow dance technique, which allowed the clan to harness the membrane in their brain to manipulate their calcium levels and control their bone structure to make weapons. The process was painful, but well worth it. The sparring had served to jump start the rapid healing process within his body so that these technique would not end up killing him as a youth.

Character History: It's a bit long, just sayin'
Birth to early childhood: Ages (0-10yrs)
Originally born in Port Cirrus, the famous port city to the southwest of Kumogakure, Daigo grew up in an extended family. He lived with his parents, aunts, and uncles in a decent sized home which was slowly falling into disrepair despite their best efforts. Daigo grew up with his cousins among whom was Daisuke, the future medical sennin, in a comfortable lower middle class society. While Daigo’s aunt and uncle occupied the jobs of upstart merchants, his parents simply helped where they could to support them. They provided the goods through their own illicit means while Daisuke’s parents sold it to pay the bills, completely unaware of how their goods were obtained. While the adults saw to supporting their family, Daisuke and Daigo’s much older cousin sought to train them in the ways of the kaguya clan, though it was less savage in nature.
The family made efforts to chat up the tourists and gather new information about a plethora of subjects. They made it their mission to gather intel on what their customers desired so that they could be prepared for the demand by stocking their home with said items. For all their efforts, money was still tight in their home; Tighter than the virgin Mary, before she gave birth. Daigo’s parents even went so far as to start making backroom deals with low life smugglers. In exchange for storing contraband in their basement unbeknownst to the rest of the family, they would be rewarded handsomely for their services. Initially, his parents actions could be deemed as simply reckless and blame it on their desperation and naivety. After all, it was all done to ensure their family’s financial security. Unfortunately over time, it began to corrupt them even more so than what they were already. His relative’s business eventually flourished into a very successful merchant company after many years of hard work, dedication, sleepless nights, careful planning, and trust in one another. Thanks only in a small part his the illicit activities of Daigo's parents.
The business, now known as The ‘Supernova’ Merchant Company or S.M.C. for short, grew to such a proportion that Daigo’s parents were put in charge of managing a second business. They were sent to expand and operate out of Port Cirrus’ sister city, Kelmura, which was located further south. Believing strongly in education, the older generation went on to send their youth to the best schools where they collectively remained a B average on their studies. Where Daisuke’s parents excelled in street smarts, they made sure that the young generations excelled in book-smarts. While that was once true for Daigo’s parents, their seedy deals made them value hard labor and street smarts more so than academics. As a result, whenever Daisuke visited Kelmura, he was put to work like Daigo, but when Daigo visited Port Cirrus, he was made to study. It was around this time that Dashi left for what he believed to be a good school only to realize he had been sent to a ninja village. Dealing with the daily stresses of a life in the Anbu branch while attempting to manage a misdiagnosed and untreated mental illness over an extend period of time would take its toll on Dashi. Eventually, he would succumb to the pressure and lose his life during an interrogation.
The Kaguya clan, or at least this branch of the clan, believed in not holding grudges against anyone so long as their family member or close friend was given a glorious death. After a month or so of mourning the death of their relative, the families continued on with their lives as such was the way of life. The sad fact was that the world would not stop spinning just because a relative had passed. The world was not that merciful. From Daigo's perspective, they still had a successful business on their hands. Now was the time to secure their place in the higher social class rather than watch their slowly rising empire crumble because of a single person. He loved his uncle dearly since Dashi was one of the few people Daigo ever really connected with, but they had to get back to business. They would do not only for financial means, but because this for the sake of their future generations. It was around this time that Daigo’s behavior caused concern for his folks. After being examined, he was diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder due to his lack of regard for other people’s rights, the violent outbursts against bullies, the lack of an emotional connection to his family or friends, and his lack of conforming to social norms. Upon further examination, he would later be deemed as a “high functioning sociopath” rather than a psychopathy. Regular psychotherapy would have helped Daigo better manage his illness, but the illicit activities his parents would force him to do over the next few years would only make things worse. It would be a long time before Daigo received the help he needed today.
Blacksmith apprentice: Ages (10-12yrs)
While Daisuke and Dashi before him both had been sent to kumogakure to attend school by accident, Daigo had decided to go in another direction. Caution was a family trait, it seemed, as Daigo only thought about securing his financial future in case the merchant business ran dry. From that point onward, visits to Port Cirrus stopped all together and Daigo's education consisted of subjects related to the occupation of a merchant. While he searched for a decent career path, his parents were approached by their smuggler contact. The smuggler was a man who had originally made contact with them in Port Cirrus, no doubt with another scheme in mind. Apparently, he heard about how well his southern friends were doing and decided to pay them a visit in hopes of making another business proposal. Sure enough, a request was made to store larger quantities of contraband in false bottom crates which would be stored in the S.M.C.'s warehouses throughout Kelmura. Business grew extensively after that, which led to the parents buying up more warehouses to store their products, both legal and illegal. In order to support trade overseas, they went so far as to buy a colonial style ship known as a frigate to act as a naval convoy with great offensive and defensive capabilities. Only two small crews of men were recommended by the smuggler contact and stationed for the ship’s crew while the others worked as the warehouse’s security guards.
Indeed, they were making big investments in the Supernova Merchant Company their in-laws created. Though he was a man of insignificance, the smuggler was in need of a large quantity of raw materials as well as rare materials, which were used for making weapons. His intention was to sell them overseas for a hefty fee. Lightning country was known for its minerals and the like. Upon hearing that they would get a huge kick back, Daigo’s parents developed a scheme where they’d use their son to infiltrate the armory of the imperial army and steal their goods while learning their services. After all, who would suspect a kid? Lots of people, that’s who, but they didn’t care. Money had blinded them and their desperation to remain in a higher social class rather than revert back into poverty would cause them to sacrifice Daigo to a life of crime. They sold him on the idea of following in Dashi’s and Daisuke’s footsteps by having a military career. Seeing as Daigo was just a kid and didn’t really have a choice in the matter, he was shipped off to the nearest imperial army base where he began basic training. Normally, children were not allowed to join the ranks so young, but his kekkei genkai was taken into account and he was made into a special exception. What base commander did not want a strong young man, from a great clan and who was destined to be a killing machine, in their ranks? The fact that Daigo was made to work in the blacksmiths unit only eased the commander’s mind about child soldiers issue.
Just a few months prior to Daigo's arrival, the smuggler had reached out to gain contacts within the blacksmith unit of the army. The blacksmiths were willing to offer their services if the stockpilers (Daigo’s parents) could supply a member of their own to help minimize the risk. In order for the scheme to work, the smiths required an additional member who had exceptional knowledge about ledgers, trade routes, land and naval convoys along with other related subjects. Despite being a young preteen, Daigo met the requirements of the smiths. The family business was all he was taught after Daisuke left. He knew how to stockpile goods from other artisans and gather raw materials and craft new makeshift items. His father taught him to be acutely aware of estimated convoy travel times, the level of risk associated with certain trade routes, and which merchant's or smuggler's tax percentage would be most opportune. He was made to properly manage, prepare, and send out both land and naval convoys to earn money. All the while, smuggling out small amounts of rare materials to help make a secret profit. Unfortunately, Daigo had been groomed all too well for this position. Helping his family run the S.M.C. while possessing a near perfect combination of book and street smarts did not do him any favors.
Although he was starting to dislike his parents because of their neglectful actions, Daigo could not help but feel a bit sad that he would not be with them anymore as the transport pulled up. Upon first glance, Daigo could tell that the transport seemed to be filled with future soldiers. All of whom boarded with noble intentions of serving their country. Daigo, knowing that he did not deserve to be in such fine company, boarded hesitantly. He kept his chin up, however, for he knew that he'd become stronger for having taken this journey. He did this not only for his parent's sake, but for his as well. They reached the Capital City of the nation, Raiden’s eye, after a few hours of travel and dismounted from the transport before falling in line at the behest of the drill instructor. Apparently, a little more basic training was needed before Daigo managed to join the imperial army’s blacksmith unit and after such a long travel as well. He wasn't thrilled as one might imagine, but he endured it. It was his duty to do so. To be in a new place was rather strange for him. All he ever knew were Kelmura and Port Cirrus, but now the city was his new house. The barracks became his bedroom, the mess hall become his kitchen, the training grounds become his playground, and the smithy or as Daigo liked to call it, the forge, became one of his many classroom.
No one suspected a thing really. He joined easily enough as an apprentice and fell under the tutelage of the blacksmiths. Masters of metal and as corrupt as they came. Upon his arrival, he delivered a letter to the head blacksmith which assured him that Daigo could be trusted. The young man was then taught the ways of the blacksmiths; taught how to bend metal to his will; taught how to properly store his tools and materials; taught how to memorize his lies; taught how to skim off the top; taught how to plan ahead. During his time as an apprentice, he found his role in the entire situation to be less than honorable and so after a while...he demanded a bigger cut for such a risk, seeing as informing the higher ups could result in everyone’s imprisonment. The way he saw it, he was property of the army until he was of age. If he told anyone what he was doing or if he kept quiet but got caught, he’d be jailed or put to death. There was no chance of seeing his parents anytime soon and frankly he did not want them around, so payment was his only demand. He received nasty looks for a while, but he didn’t care about the opinions of his co-workers. All he had to do was not be himself; to play the role of a greedy immoral blacksmith just like the rest of them.
Blacksmith: Ages (12-14yrs)
After a few years of both legal and illegal service, Daigo had finally attained the position he desired as a master blacksmith. This ultimately meant that he had no higher station to fulfill in his life. One might have thought that he had truly taken on his role to heart, but he was still the same deep down. He found it all immoral and he wanted to tell others, both for the sake of honesty as well as for the sake as being viewed in a positive light. No one would trust a theft but everyone could trust an honest man. An honest man, it was the role he needed to manipulate others to his advantage. One night, Daigo bothered to ask myself "how can I imagine being an honest man when I had such immoral parents who convinced me at an early age to commit crimes to earn extra money?". It was true that his role models were criminals and the way Daigo saw it, he was lucky to have learned a trade which would act as a fallback option if or when things went sour with his current business. Daigo was frustrated by this thought at first, but learned to adapt and evolve into something more...for his own sake. Luckily, Daigo's name would never show up on any official or unofficial ledger or document. He was brought in to advise the smiths on trade routes, convoys, warehouses, and smugglers with which they were unfamiliar. Daigo made sure to cover his tracks to the best of his ability.
At this point in his career, his weapon quality and the quantity in which he produced it were higher than most of the other blacksmiths. Perhaps it was his kaguya roots that gave him a leg up or maybe it was from him reading books on weapon forgery to get the best mixture of materials. Either way, he was making a decent wage and earning respect from many while continuing to smuggle small yet highly valuable materials out of the city using the convoys. On his days off, he began exploring the other units and attempted to form reliable networks of his own. In exchange for a fee, these people would go on to instruct him in their professions unofficially. He made connections in the following units: military police, elite soldiers, and the scouts. From the military police, he was taught how to investigate a crime scene thoroughly. The elite soldiers taught him how to fight while the scouts who taught him how to survey a large area and survive in various terrains. These would prove to be valuable skills necessary for Daigo's survival. A few tips here and there during mealtimes in the mess hall, during shower time, during the holidays, whenever he could do it really. He would learn a plethora of subjects in those few years, all of which he'd take to heart. He acted the role of a inquisitive youth and people bought it.
As the years went by, he grew in intelligence and muscle mass. The late hours he spent handling materials made him stronger and his training from the elite soldiers proved very useful. In combination with his clan’s dead bone pulse fighting style, he found himself enjoying the powers with which he was blessed. The whispers of an upcoming war between two countries traveled across the land, wetting the appetite of the blacksmiths. War meant money and they could always use more of that. It also meant a boost in profits, assuming that they could smuggle goods to the supposed countries in exchange for a hefty fee. Even Daigo’s parent’s supported it through their letters. Although he grew tired of the social facade he had elected, he knew he had to play the role for his own sake. Starting up the flames, he continued his work both within his unit and outside his unit to be well rounded as it was his goal.
During this chapter of Daigo's life, he went to visit his cousin, Daisuke, along with his aunt and uncle with special permission. During their return home, Daigo became sidetracked while assisting a small animal. It would turn out to be a rather eye opening experience for him. (leads to canine contract app)
Medical apprentice in the Imperial army : Ages (14-17yrs)
Over the next few years, Daigo and Daisuke would start to write each other every now and again, informing each other of their worries and of their current business. Soon the content of their letters became solely about the upcoming war and the possible aftermath that would come of it. While Daisuke expressed concern for the people, Daigo expressed concern for his business and for his family, leaving the people out of it. Soon after that, Daisuke wrote about what he had witnessed while he was there. His letters were detailed with his medical ninja duties and that touch Daigo’s heart just a tiny bit. After receiving Daisuke’s letters for so long and feeling partly responsible for his cousin’s woes, Daigo could not help but question his own actions. Smuggling weapons, pocketing leftover funds, stockpiling raw and rare materials to be sold elsewhere, etc. The Bear Marsh war affected his world views as well. He, along with the other blacksmiths, were responsible for creating the weapons used to slay so many lives across two countries. He wondered if he was on the right path. With Daisuke’s encouragement, Daigo began looking into changing fields. The blacksmiths, his parents, and the smugglers didn’t care if Daigo left the unit and the simply found another to take his place. The routine was already set up. They had brought him in to advise the smiths on unfamiliar subjects, but after so many years, they knew the information well enough without Daigo's assistance. From that point onward Daigo was now just another worker, something that made him rather happy. There was no need in threatening him to keep his mouth shut since he’d die too if anyone ever found out. He later transferred to the medical unit within the imperial army. The application process was hard to qualify for, but given the war and the thousands wounded, they were practically begging for new members.
For the next three years of his life, Daigo would be doing grunt work for the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff. Taking medical classes most mornings, cleaning bedpans, giving sponge baths to the elderly patients, cleaning up the laboratories, running errands for the staff, learning how to treat wounds, and of course making the rounds where he would follow around a doctor who would describe a patient’s ailment then ask Daigo his opinion on how to treat it. It was damn near torture for Daigo to be so...helpful to others, but that was part of the act. He had to make others believe that he was a normal person with a genuinely compassionate side for his fellow man. Daisuke’s letters helped out as well. Daisuke was thrilled that Daigo had decided to join his ranks and offered a plethora of letters with great advice and excellent study notes to use. Daigo’s studying and Daisuke’s notes helped to make him a star within the medical unit. His superiors began to take notice to Daigo’s detail and precision when he was treating patients while supervised. His test scores began to reflect the same thing. After busting his back working hard for a good cause, he was finally promoted to become a general practitioner.
During this chapter of Daigo's life, he was sent to accompany a land convoy with special permission from the higher ups. This was due to there possibly of the escorts being injured by the local wildlife. One night during the return home, Daigo became sidetracked while assisting a small animal in retaking a large ruin. It would turn out to be a rather eye opening experience for him. (leads to feline contract app)
General practitioner in the army: Ages (17-20yrs)
Over the next three years of his life, Daigo busted his butt even harder as a general practitioner than he did as a medic in training. In prior years, it was just grunt work, but now he had to treat people more frequently and fill out a lot more paperwork than ever before. He really wanted to curse out Daisuke for tricking him into joining his profession, but ultimately it was a great disguise. Who would suspect a doctor to be damn near emotionless and possess a lack of compassion? Not many people, he thought. Daigo simply had to grin and bare it. He have to play the role of a compassionate doctor to better manipulate those around him into doing his bidding. His illness had crippled him in a way, but seeking help now would get him outed as abnormal. For the next few years, he would keep his true nature hidden away until the right person came along.
It was around this time that Daisuke began to write letters in which he gave detailed notes on chakra, jutsus, curse seals, kinjutsus, and various medical techniques. Being a ninja in Kumogakure had its advantages and Daigo wanted a small piece of that. Daisuke would go on to mail off common literature regarding the physical (agility, stamina, and taijutsu) aspects as well as the mental (ninjutsu, genjutsu, and chakra control) aspects of being a shinobi. Soon after that, Daisuke would send out packages containing instruction scrolls for various elemental jutsus. His goal was to ensure that one day, Daigo might join him permanently as a member of kumogakure. It seemed to be turning into a family tradition after all. Once Daigo picked up the literature, he could barely put them down again. All the while, he was practicing medicine. At nights or on his days off he would find an isolated place to train his body and his mind accordingly. He quickly realized that Daisuke’s training regiment was nothing like the elite warrior’s regiment. Daisuke’s letters focused on the mind and body with heavy intensity. Making the proper hand signs, matching physical effort and chakra control to perform jutsus, training each shinobi aspect everyday for hours upon hours at a time. It was difficult work, but Daigo was a natural. What took students many years to learn, Daigo managed to do in a slightly shorter amount of time. Still the friend located in a low place, he continued to perform seedy deeds for his contacts in exchange for their tutoring. His deeds would ultimately lead to their superiors recognizing them as the best choice for a promotion. It was that simply really. Daigo helped to make their careers in exchange for unofficial basic training in their unit's notable skills and responsibilities. They were getting the better end of the deal by far.
It was also during that time that Daisuke managed to inform Daigo that he would become his benefactor should be die. Those years were the most emotional for Daisuke having lost his parents and Daigo’s parents were later arrested for their crimes. Apparently, the smuggler contact got careless while conducting his business and too stingy when it was time to pay his employees, one of which was with the authorities. This lead to him falling under surveillance of the authorities. During his most recent meeting with Daisuke's parents, the authorities learned where the smuggler had been storing the contraband and subsequently had them all arrested on the spot. Having no desire to spend the rest of their lives in jail or face death, many people involved in the operation began ratting out the rest; the smuggler most of all. It stretched from the dirty security guards who patrolled the warehouses to the various merchants who knowingly purchased the contraband. Nearly everyone tried to make a deal, but there were a few who remained steadfast.
While it was a small operation, the entire ring was busted wide open. Questions regarding the origins of the raw materials and rare materials brought the military police into action. All of this was thanks to the blacksmiths who could not keep their paperwork documented correctly, the smugglers who tried to drive up prices for their own greed, the lazy employees who became careless in their work, and his moronic parents for storing the contraband in the first place. The company might have needed that income at one point in time, but the company's legit business is what made it into a prospering establishment. Now everything was falling apart. If everyone had just been happy with their cut, everything would have been fine, but people just had to be greedy and attempt to snitch to save their own skin. Thankful, Daigo was already out of that line of work for years, but he was still questioned by his officials as he was a former member of the blacksmiths. Having performed shady deeds in the past, which subsequently got all of his contacts receiving promotions, Daigo knew he could count on glowing character references from his friends. They did not do this because Daigo had managed to gather incriminating evidence against all of them. They were all unaware that Daigo even had such damning evidence in his possession. His contacts helped him because of their friendship with him. The investigation ended after months of questioning and fact checking, which was a relief to him. It was at that time that Daigo decided it was time to leave this military career behind, but there was just one time thing he had to do. He had to ensure that this situation never happen again. He called upon the contacts he originally made while in the blacksmiths one last time and asked for them to pull a few favors so that his transfer to the military police was assured. It was without a doubt unusual to have bounced around so many units in his lifetime, but seeing as he was constantly being down played as a lowly smith with ambitions of higher station, the higher-ups allowed it.
Military police or equivalent: Ages (20-21yrs)
After pulling a large amount of strings, Daigo managed to finish out his career as an entry level military police officer. In actuality, the higher ups couldn’t prove that Daigo had anything to do with illegal smuggling of goods from the blacksmith unit and thus they placed him in military police so that they could spy on him more easily. While they could have just killed him there and then, it would only spark more negative press. Questions involving the level of competence possessed by the higher-ups would be made and that just could not happen. Daigo knew full well that was the case and knew it was time to leave this all behind. It was a miracle that he managed to get out of this with his life. Daigo would spend his last year receiving secret security clearance, learn the purpose of the military police, which was to maintain law, order, and discipline by enforcing military laws and regulations, prevent crime, and respond to all emergencies. They reluctantly trained him in basic warrior skills, use of firearms/weapons, Military/civil laws and jurisdiction, investigation and evidence collection techniques, crowd control skills, arrest and restraint of suspects.
By the end of the year, Daigo was by the grace of Raiden honorable discharged and gladly left the imperial army. With the smuggler’s operation ruined, his parent’s arrest, and his military career over, Daigo felt as though he had no purpose. Since the arrest, their branch of the merchant business was being investigated for suspicious activity so Daigo could not find work there. Thankfully, he possessed a few things which could earn him a decent living. First, he had his skills as a blacksmith and all the knowledge that came with it. Second, he had his medical skills and all the knowledge that came with it. Third, he managed to regain the merchant business’s frigate style ship which was normally used to transport goods to other ports. The frigate was considered the backbone of any naval force. It was a well rounded vessel that combined good speed and agility with impressive offensive and defensive capabilities. A proud ship indeed. Daigo would make this his own ship and the captain’s quarters his home.
From Blacksmith & Privateer: Ages (21-22yrs)
Over the next three months, Daigo worked as a blacksmith in a few small towns of little importance. He made mostly hoes, metal rakes, machetes and scythes for cutting down their crops, horseshoes, etc. Barely ever was he asked to make a weapon. Realizing that he wasn’t going to make a decent living in these small towns, he spent the next three months at sea as a privateer, all the while sending letters of his woes to Daisuke. Being a sennin at the time, Daisuke managed to offer Daigo a legitimate cloud citizenship opportunity. This meant that upon arrival, he could become a full fledged cloudie. Given that he had financial struggles, the merchant company in Kelmura was still under investigation, and his military career was at an end, Daigo accepted rather quickly. If anything, cloud possessed fine minerals which he could use to help him build up a decent career as a blacksmith. Creating unique weapon could be his game and if all else failed, he could become a mednin. His options were laid out before him and his path was set once again. Well Daigo could admit that it would be good to see his cousin again, he was not thrilled about meeting new people, then developing a more sociable persona with which he would use to manipulate others around him.
And thus began his trek to kumogakure. He followed every instruction written down in his letters and upon his arrival he was greeted by his cousin. Daigo informed his relative about the investigation and of his parent’s crimes, which was not surprising to Daisuke. His relatives were always sneaky in one way or another. The bonehead did his cousin the courtesy of allowing him to room with him briefly, just until the court hearings were over. As such, Daigo had to work off his debt by working part time at Daisuke’s free clinic. Moving to cloud and joining the hospital as a general practitioner was nice, but rather brief. Soon however, he had grown to love cloud just as much as Daisuke did, though Daigo usually had to make frequent trips out of the village to court hearing held in the Capital city. As such, Daigo never really got to explore kumogakure all that well. He was only familiar with the hospital and Daisuke’s home.
Present: Ages (22-24yrs)
After several years under investigation, Daigo’s Kelmura merchant branch was finally cleared of all charges. Relieved that the whole mess was cleared up, Daigo made his way back towards cloud when he met a group of strange individuals to this day he has kept a secret. After two years as a low level medic during Shinrya Kitsune's absence, Daigo found the job dissatisfying and requested to leave the branch. He took with him everything Daisuke taught him about medicine that he did not learn while in the army. Now he resides in cloud as a ninja, but seeks something better.
During this chapter of his life, he met a woman who would go on to tutor him in the arts of ninjutsu. For a single year, Daigo would have a teacher. The woman would not reveal the origins of her knowledge or what her intentions were, but she would state that she was from cloud village. (Leads into Kinjutsu app)

Daigo’s face felt the crisp air washed over it as he traveled on horseback. It was nearly nightfall and the convoy was only a few meters away from its destination. At this time in his life, Daigo had already transferred from a blacksmith to a medical apprentice within the army in hopes of following in his cousin’s footsteps. It was a rough transition, but one worthwhile as he’d soon realize. His current position was the very reason he was traveling with the convoy. Located in Solum de Asphodelus was the Heartland of Kaminari no Kuni, an underdeveloped part of lightning country. This region was known for its earth mostly untouched by man. While the occasional farm and ruin might be found here, it was no place for towns and their sheriffs, cities and their guards, nor the army and their military police. This was the reason the weapons trade had to take place in this location, off the books. He had been brought along to ensure that the injuries were kept to a minimum due to the lack of hospitals and law enforcement in this area. Daigo continued to ride alongside the land convoy until the lead merchant commanded that they make camp for the night. Slowing down his horse along with the rest of the men, Daigo dismounted and walked his horse over to the others. The group was small and insignificant really. Each man was their to act as a guard over the shipment and were being pay well for it. Soon after the tents were set up and the horses were tied to their posts, the sky was dyed a dark blue tint and had shining stars sprinkled over the blanket of night.
Once the camp had in established and a bonfire was roaring, the distrustful merchant asked that all newcomers be placed on watch duty in their campsite while the familiar faces travel with him to the rendezvous for the exchange. It was a clever tactic. He didn’t know the new guys personally nor did he know who was trustworthy so he thought it best that they stay and guard their belongings instead. The majority of the men accompanied the merchant in the convoy while Daigo and two others were left behind at camp. Almost immediately after the merchant and his men had left, Daigo’s peers elected him for the night’s watch alone while they each planned to get some sleep. The kaguya reluctantly served his watch for two hours before the heard the sound of galloping hooves in the distance. He prepared a few lanterns before warning the others that their boss had returned. Holding his lantern out in front of him, the young medic in training began to feel a strange sense of dread as the wagon slowly approached the site. Daigo noticed two details which were quite clear even from a distance: First, the merchant who was steering the convoy was wounded on his right side. Second, the guards who accompanied him were found in the bed of the convoy in place of the weapons. When they returned with a purse hungry for coin and a wagon filled with injured guards in place of weapons, Daigo knew that the deal had gone down without any trouble. It was an ambush clearly. The merchant and the corrupt guards had been doubled crossed by the murderous and dishonest bandits to which they sold weapons. It should also be mentioned that the merchant was aware that the bandits had robbed their last contact before making a contact in the current merchant. How shocking and completely unexpected was that?
"You! Help me get them off the wagon and You! Grab my supplies and bring them to now!" Daigo shouted as he began unloading the wagon and lying the injured guards around the fire. He did this to provide warmth for the men and light for himself as he was going to treat these men. Off in the distance, covered by thick foliage and the blanket of night, a predator lurked and watched the men intensely. It observed its prey and chose the most capable man. Soon its sights was set solely on Daigo. The predator moved closer and closer still without anyone being the wiser, especially the apprentice. About half an hour had passed and with Daigo’s instruction, everyone was patched up nicely. The only thing to do then was wait until morning for their wounds to heal before heading back in disgrace. Daigo sat silently for a few minutes while the other two men he was partnered with began to speculate on whether or not the bandits were coming for them as well. They were worried about saving their own skin and Daigo was more concerned about massive amount of yen the bandits might not have even had. This group of people were unbelieveable. It was not long before he suggested that the trio go and reclaim the weapons, but as he suspected he was met with complete rejection. Anger washed over him just then, but he would not display this emotion. In Daigo’s mind, the two men were not worth wasting another breath on. Instead, he tasked the two remaining guards with keeping watch for the rest of the night while he searched the wilderness for herbs. And like that he left without any further discussion. In truth, he did intend to search for herbs but the thought of letting the bandits get away with what they had done made his skin crawl. He trekked for about fifty feet before he realized that he was being watched.
"Hello? I know you’re out there! Reveal yourself and let your intentions be known!" he demanded. He turned around quickly upon hearing a bush shake briefly and did so again in the opposite direction when he heard the noise once more. His breaths became shallow as he backed up slowly towards a tree. Turning his head to the right, he saw glowing yellow eyes and sharp white teeth staring back at him from the foliage. Daigo froze for a moment, preparing his bone armour underneath his skin as he waited.
"Hey there. Daigo-san, wasn’t it? I saw your work back there and I must say that I was impressed. Tell me, what’s a medic doing in a place like this?", the predator asked. His voice was mature, but had a lingering sense of smugness behind it. Daigo repeated his earlier demand for the creature to reveal itself. The creature let out an evil sounding chuckle before insisting that Daigo answer him first. As confident as this creature was, he knew that he could not complete his goals without assistance. Still, he had to put on a brave face...for the sake of his duty.
"I never gave you my name nor my profession. I take it that you were spying and eavesdropping, then? Very well. I’m here to ensure that things go smoothly. The bandits double crossed us and I intend to make it right. The bastards and the cowards from camp won’t see a single yen.", Daigo replied as the bone amour grew steadily under his skin. He was cautious of course given his circumstances and he would not allow a creature to derail him from his path. The air was intense just then. Both parties stared at each other unsure if they could trust one another, but they both had duties to perform that night and having a pissing contest was only a waste of time.
Sano
"Really, well what a coincidence. I, too, have beef with the bandits in this area. We both want the bandits dead and we each have something to retrieve from their ruin fortress. Perhaps we could be of use to each other. I’m in need of a good and trustworthy man like yourself and you need a creature’s familiar with the area to help guide you to those bastards. I’ll even provide you with a gesture of good faith. Catch! Now, I take it we have an agreement. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m called Sano. ", he said as he jumped down from the tree to reveal a black panther. What he had tossed Daigo were various herbs which grew in the area. Seeing as how Daigo had been relieved of his prior task, he saw no reason not to assist the panther. Under normal circumstances, Daigo would have been freaking out about witnessing a talking animal. His encounter with Hoan, a previous contract animal, changed how he saw the world. Even though that event occurred about two years ago, the apprentice never told a single soul about what he had witnessed then and he assured Sano that he would never reveal his secret either.
"Sano-san, You are aware of my intentions once we reach the fortress, but what are your motivations if you don’t mind my asking?" he asked. Daigo had a hard enough time trusting people and now to partner himself with a feline that he had never met before and work together to kill an enemy was really strange. For all he knew, Sano might have been leading him into a trap and yes that thought had crossed Daigo’s mind frequently, but Sano had no problem revealing his reason.
"My brother tasked me with watching over his family while he was away on urgent business with our lord and leader, Hidega. While I was out hunting, the bandits ambushed me with their ranged weapons and high quality blades. I managed to take out about ten of them, before I fled to safety. I did this so that if I were followed, Kami and her mother would still be safe in my absence...or so thought. When I was certain that I had not been tailed, I returned to them only to find signs of a struggle. The smell of blood was strong and the air thick with ill intent. I tracked them back to a ruined fortress and attacked it single handedly only to be met with defeat. Still, I managed to take down around ten men before I fled once more. From a far I observed them for days. I memorized guard shift changes, their patrol routes, and their habitual hunting habits, all for their sake. I even saw merciless attack on your team, which lead me to track down your camp and search for motivated warriors. I will not lose this time. I’ll gladly forfeit my life if it meant to save them both!", Sano stated proudly. Daigo didn’t mind the panther’s monologue so long as he got what he believed was owed to him. Just as he had with his other comrades, Daigo was simply playing a role. Sano was using him just as he was using Sano so Daigo felt no guilt in what he was doing. This was the way of the world.
For an hour, the duo sat in a nearby tree located just outside the fortress and strategized on how they planned to attack and take over the fortress once and for all. While Sano suggested a full on assault, Daigo preached patience and ultimately won. The apprentice observed three key points for taking over the fortress and would execute it near flawlessly. They split up in order to get the job done.
The first part was to kill the leader and second in command through stealth to provide confusion amongst the rest. Infiltrating the fortress was simple given that it was a ruin. There were literally large holes in the walls. Daigo snuck into the fortress under the cover of night and crept up the stairs while Sano waited to ambush the returning patrol unit. They struck quickly and quietly. While Sano mauled the bandits from outside, Daigo managed to sneak up to the leader’s quarters and kicked in the door to find the men playing cards. Before they could move, Daigo’s bone bullets were already wedged in their skulls. He ran in and looted the bodies for the keys to the cage holding Sano’s family in the distance as well as the storage house. The second part was to cause a distraction. Daigo took a lit lantern when he left the commander’s room. As he left, he could see Sano finishing off the last of the patrol unit.
He ducked down as he descended down the stairwell and leaped through a large hole in the wall. With the last of the ten man patrol unit defeated, the apprentice had no trouble running half way around the fortress as the bandits slept, and reentered through, you guessed it, another hole in the wall near the store house. Using the key he obtained, he opened the storage house to find his weapon shipment, the payment, and various other supplies including a few barrels of flammable alcohol. The apprentice grinned when he held the lantern close to the barrel in order to properly read the sign. He looked back only to see Sano approaching quietly. Daigo put down the lantern, then dug into his weapon holster and pulled out a summoning scroll with his left hand while he handed the key to his family’s cage with his right hand. Sano gave a look of appreciation before taking the key and running back to get his family. Daigo rolled out the scroll on the floor and used what he had learned from his cousin to activate the seals. A blue cloud bubbled up from the sections of the scroll, absorbed the shipment and the payment respectively, then sucked it into the seals. He sat there astonished at what he saw then thought how much more gifted Daisuke was than him. Meanwhile, Sano rushed over to release his family, Kami and her mother.
Kami and her mother - Sano’s sister in law
"Kami! Sister! I’m here!", he shouted as he inserted the key and turned it with his mouth. At long last, his family was free. His family went to hug him intensely and a small tear could be seen falling from his eye from a distance. Daigo could not feel what he desired to feel, which was happiness and sympathy, but that came with his mental illness. Being a high functioning sociopath was not something he would wish on anyone for any reason. In fact, it was his mental illness that allowed him such little remorse in what he was about to do. He took the barrels of alcohol, uncorked it, then began pouring it on the ground from the entrance of the barracks to the huge bonfire in the center of the ruined fortress. It only took a single spark the ignite the highly flammable alcohol and send a burning trail towards the barracks, which by this time had been doused the the other barrels of alcohol. It was a twisted sight to behold. The sleeping men awaking to flames in their rooms and running out of the building only to die from severe third degree burns or by Daigo’s bone blade. Was it a horrible way to die? Yes, it was. Did those murderous, traitorous bastards desire this kind of death? Daigo believed so. Meanwhile, Sano and his family were preparing to leave. They made their way out of the fortress while Daigo trailed not too far behind. He wanted to give Sano some distance and time with his family after all. Before long, Sano had stopped and instructed his family to continue onward while he finished his business with the human.
Kami
"Daigo, that’s far enough. My family saw what you did and they feel a bit uncomfortable around you. The bandits have been wiped out of this region and you got back your weapons and compensation. Lastly, my brother will be meeting us here and he isn’t fond of strangers. I thank you for your help, but this is as far as we go. ", Sano said. Daigo looked past the panther and noticed that it was solely the niece, Kami, who was truly afraid of him. Understanding the situation, he backed off a bit.
contract holder: Akira
"Why hello there. Sano filled us in on everything and we thank you for your services. Such assistance could certainly be used again. We’d like to make you an that you’d be wise not to refuse.", she said before Sano’s brother bit Daigo’s hand without a warning. He was told that the mark would reveal itself when the time was right and just like that the felines were gone. The sun began to rise as Daigo turned around and headed back for camp. He wouldn’t tell them of what had occurred and instead would keep the weapons and the compensation for himself. It was only fair.
