Character's Physical Description: Hakuren is 146 centimeters tall and weighs 39 kilograms. He has short blue hair and bright blue eyes. He wears glasses not because he has any problems with his vision, but for the effect of making him look more distinguished. He even wears formal attire rather than normal shinobi gear. Can always be seen holding a book. People like to joke around, calling him a mage with his book of spell. Surprisingly they are not far off and he tends to take the mocking title with pride.
Character's Mental Description: Both he and his twin sister are bookworms; very knowledgeable but a bit anti-social. He tries really hard to sound mature despite his actual age. To kids his own age Hakuren comes of as a know it all as he has learned much from his research. When it comes to self expression he does have one outlet; when he is not noes deep in books he is playing the violin. He reads mostly non-fiction as he enjoys learning fun facts. His sister is the opposite as she loves works of fiction. She enjoys getting lost into a story and imagining herself as a main character. Quite a few times they would have a debate on how likely such stories could happen in real life.
Character History: Hakuren is your classic bookworm; he does very well in written exams but absolutely flunks anything physical. Hakuren seems to only care about learning stuff for the sake of learning it and his parents were starting to worry. His father really did not like the failing grades of his two kids latest report cards. As punishment they were sent to clean the attic. The place was really dusty and unorganized but between the two of them they made the place nice and neat. Hakuren even finds an old tomb filled with various runes used for seals. The tomb even describes how each seal were to be used. By transcribing the runes onto separate slips of papers he could create traps such as exploding notes.
During one class Hakuren was called to have a duel with another student. Hakuren had watched this person fought before. She likes to confuse her opponent with the uses of clones both real and illusionary. Hakuren knew exactly which seals would shut this girl down. Opening his book he activates a few of them, which he was using at bookmarks, before even walking onto the battlefield. Preparing traps before the battle starts may be a little dirty but is often quite effective. When the teacher declares the start of the fight and the girl starts of with an illusionary clone jutsu. Hakuren’s Chakra Gauging Seal is triggered and he was able to resist it on the reroll.
Before She could even summon a ninjutsu clone Hakuren activates his Heartseek Seal. For reasons unknown to the girl, he always seems to know which one was the clone and which one was her. She decides it had to be the book and has her clone go to knock it out of her hand. However that only triggers his Chakra Restrictive Seal and her clone instantly disperses. Eventually the battle ends with a big explosion.
