Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Physical Description: Juri is an athletically built and toned woman, standing at an impressive six feet and four inches with long, straight, black hair that reaches her shoulder blades. She is more often than not seen wearing varying degrees of black and grey clothes, though she always makes sure that her midriff is on display, being quite proud of her abs, and who wouldn't be? Alongside that is her studded, black leather jacket that she is rarely seen without. Her skin is like marble, in both color and texture, unusual given her life in the desert but her body just can't seem to hold a tan to save its life. Her emerald green eyes stand out against the black hair and white skin however giving her a very piercing look. The one other thing that stands out about Juro is something she tends to keep hidden until absolutely necessary, this being the four metal blades that she can release from her fists, two blades in each hand.

Mental Description: Juri is a boisterous girl and very physical in the way she communicates with others. She is often seen as the laid back, calm and collected type but this is just a facade she puts up to conceal her true nature, she is always up for a fight and can fall into arguments over small things quite easily though she is as quick to make-up as blow up in those situations and is usually quick to apologize if she takes things too far but, that isn't often. She isn't one to shy away from a conversation, especially when it comes to the subjects of training and animals, she loves animals and has two dogs of her own at home who she loves to show off pictures of. Some might call Juri a training addict, she is always finding a way to train some part of her body or another even when just sitting around with friends and chatting or in the middle of class, back in the day at least, but at least this has had very visible results. She never learned the lessons of moderation or personal space so she has quite an addictive personality and is overly friendly with people, especially when she's happy, often clinging to them and being overly familiar.

History / Kyoujouran Application: Juris life begins as being born into a poor family and living in the slums of the Sand village. They had little to nothing, but they managed to scrape by and were happy. They were also the last of a long lineage of Kyoujourans that had existed for many generations in the Wind country, even owning a piece of it themselves at one point. Those glory days are obviously long behind them now but her father would often regale her with the stories of the great warriors of their clan, their feats, and victories among the great battles and wars of the past. Juri grew up wanting to relieve some of these stories, wishing that they were a rich and respected clan once more, and though she had the best of intentions she wasn't the most physically gifted, nor mentally, still, she had determination.

In her younger days, the girl would do what little physical training she could, her father liked to stay in shape so she would do her best to imitate him. By mimicking him and with a lot of effort, cuts, scrapes, and bruises she actually started to become quite a little monster, in her mother's words. Given her hard work and determination, her parents would soon enroll the now eight-year-old girl into the shinobi academy, it was the place they believed she would truly find herself and the first step to perhaps making her dreams come true, even if they didn't believe it fully themselves they encouraged her with all their hearts. Now Juri wasn't a shy kid, far from it but she'd never really had to interact with all that many people so far in her life, she was quite sheltered and suddenly having all these new people in her life was a bit of an overload of her brain. This is where she would begin acting out here and there, she was hardly a bad student but it just seemed to be every other day she was being scolded for fighting and making quite a name for herself among the students, teachers, and other parents.

It would be during her third and final year of the academy that she would become infamous among her teachers and peers. Suddenly growing over a foot in height and being taller than even some of those teaching her. Her skin which had once been tan started to rapidly fade and become much more like her parents but, even more so. Her parents had a somewhat grey complexion but she would become like marble, even the touch of her skin was cold and hard like stone. The Kyoujouran blood surfacing as she was beginning to enter puberty and Juri couldn't be happier about it. She beat the hell out of anyone who'd previously been a rival of hers and was feared throughout the student body as she just continued to grow. Eventually, all good things come to an end and she would graduate that year and become a Genin proper though this is where life threw an unseen curveball right at her.

She'd been learning under a few Chuunin and Jounin teachers, going out on missions but their reports on here were never good. She found it difficult to work with others because they were usually so scared of her size and it honestly just pissed her off and they'd end up having to be broken apart by whoever was mentoring them. It was at the point where the mission offers just stopped coming in or if she applied for solo missions she was knocked back for the more experienced Genin who continued to go out on team missions. It was about this time that a man would approach the girl and her parents, under the cover of night, and make a strange offer. He was a medical-nin who had strong ties with the academy and had been watching Juris progression over the past years and learned much about her and her aspirations to bring her clan back to the glory days but obviously this wasn't going to happen if she couldn't even find work and the girl was very against going rogue to accomplish this goal. The man however offered her something that could change her life for the better and even earn her family a lot of money at the same time. She would come and work under him for a time, not as a medic-in-training though, but as a test subject. You see he had been looking for a strong body like hers for some advanced ideas he had been brewing up and he swore they would make her stronger but she would need to leave her parents for the better part of five years for it to happen. The small fortune offered for her participation was near impossible to ignore and after a couple of days of deliberation, Juri convinced her parents to let her do it, reminding them that she'd be back eventually and strong enough to bring their name back to where it belonged.

The next five years of her life are a bit of a blur, she spent a lot of time in hospital beds having all manner of procedures performed on her and she found herself slipping in and out of consciousness and conversations like some strange, lucid dream. There are periods of time she remembers being awake for long periods. These times they would be testing her brain functions, muscle memory, and other things beyond her grasp but one thing was for sure, she was capable of doing things she couldn't when she first got here, it was explained to her as hypnotherapy and they were using it to teach her physical activities and it was going swimmingly. They were turning her into a walking, talking tank, a veritable tank that would be able to stand against any enemies of the village. The next of her procedures was to be the most experimental and dangerous of her time here and the culmination of everything they'd been doing to her since she'd come here. They would be attempting to coat her entire skeleton in some sort of nigh-indestructible metal, obviously, this became dangerous even more so when you consider the spine and skull and she would likely be out of commission for over a year just for the recovery phase, but she was eager and they liked that.

Yuri would wake up and upon opening her eyes would find herself suspended in some sort of liquid, it felt warm and pleasant on her skin though her head was faint and her vision couldn't see beyond the nose on her face. as she began to come more aware of her surroundings she would notice all manner of tubes and wires connected to her body along with a mask that was feeding her oxygen but she couldn't see anything outside of the container she was in, just a darkened room with faint flickers of red and green lights, perhaps it was night time? She did feel quite sleepy herself despite having just woken up from who knows how long being asleep. Who knows how long she was asleep at this point but she would wake up once more but it was different, cold, hard, and uncomfortable. She opened her eyes and looked around only to find she was still in darkness and laying in a puddle of slick liquid and glass. Getting to her feet she would start to explore the room, fumbling around for some form of light or a way out, and miraculously she did find a switch of some sort but it didn't do exactly what she expected. One of the monitors near the switch would suddenly switch on and a familiar face would pop up, the man who'd brought her here in the first place though he looked... older? She couldn't quite put her finger on it as her memories were still very fuzzy. He would begin speaking before she could distract herself with random thoughts, telling her everything they'd done and explaining why she now found herself alone and that they wished they could have stayed to see her wake up but, extenuating circumstances prevented them from doing so. This was a lot to take in but they assured her that she was complete and ready to make a name for herself and her clan just like she'd always dreamed.

As the recorded message ended, the lights in the room would flash on, stinging her eyes like hell for a few moments before she could start to see once again, it was unclear how long it had been but the room was dusty and clearly hadn't been used in a while as a message had explained. Hung up on a nearby wall were some old medical gowns and given her current lack of clothes she opted to put one on till something better came along. The next problem would be leaving, because as she looked around she would become very aware of the lack of a door, she started to feel her way around the walls in a panic, had whatever scared the scientists or whatever they were away also sealed her off? The man seemed confident that she was safe in there whilst she recovered so probably not. Then she noticed something on one of the walls, an exit sign sitting in the middle with an obvious red shape painted around it to resemble a door. She approached it and did many things, pushing, shoving, punching, kicking, and though she did manage to leave some dents on what was clearly a thick, metal wall it would take a lifetime to get out this way something crept into the back of her mind, a memory that both was and wasn't her own and it would prompt her to take a step back and sure enough, a set of blades shot out from her fists and as much as she wanted to freak ut it just felt so natural and normal to her and they cut open the exit wall like a hot knife through butter. Beyond the wall was a steep, dark staircase that climbed upwards for a good quarter mile or so before she came across a second similar wall with an exit sign on it. Without hesitation, she cut through it and found herself in some kind of weird room with large metal doors on the walls and quickly she realized she was in a morgue? Underneath the hospital hopefully and she quickly made her way toward the nearest door, as she did a series of explosions could be heard coming from the hole she'd just emerged from, she smiled and went back to leave wherever she was and getting her life back on track.

It's now two years later and things have not gone the way Juri would have wanted. Her five-year absence from the shinobi world had meant she needed to start from the bottom again, though it didn't take long to get her Genin title back she just lost all motivation. This was because of the things that had happened during her time in the lab, most notably of these things were her parents, they'd upped and left the village at some point and no one knew when or where, just that they'd taken the money that was supposed to help them live the life they deserved and ran, that was the story she managed to piece together at least, and it simply took the wind out of her sails. She was poor and just having trouble finding something to do with herself, taking the odd job here and there just for living's sake and having a roof over her head and food in her belly... also plenty of alcohol and smokes which she'd fallen into quite heavily. She hadn't realized it herself but she was spiraling into a pit of depression that she would struggle to drag herself out of at the rate she was going. The odd jobs she'd often do weren't part of the shinobi world but rather she found herself being a "heavy" for a young kind called Hato, he seemed to be a bit of an odd one but he was giving the work that she could do and paying her for it so there wasn't much to complain about, young for a gangster though.
