Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It had been just like any other day for him now. Things didn’t make much sense to him out in this world, but he knew how to survive and how to walk just about anywhere. It didn’t matter what destiny had in store for him because he would tackle it head on, but truthfully he was feeling rather lazy today. In fact he just wanted to go somewhere, grab a nice beer and relax to some second class music for a while. There wasn’t much anyone or anything had to do to please him or to help him relax. As he walked to the Cloud Village he wondered exactly what would happen at their gates. There wasn’t too much to worry about though because surely they had heard that the mist village really didn’t exist anymore. He was no longer an enemy to the hidden cloud and was more so just there to relax and unwind.

”I never thought I’d see sights like these out here in this country. It’s pretty cool when you compare the differences but the water country has this… had this place beat back in the day anyway.” He thought to himself right before stopping at the midst of the gates. ”Hey cloudies! Olly olly oxin free! Where you guys at, I need some assistance!” He called out to the villages gate. He wasn’t really trying to make a scene but he was doing so. Waiting for them to come to him he thought about what it was like the last time he was at a villages gates. ”Those Anbu weren’t too happy with me then and there, I nearly went to jail. I was just trying to help someone out but yeah, screw missions. Hopefully these guys will be kinder.” He thought to himself, only before looking around.

Akkuma had been lazing about when he heard a newcomer calling out to the cloud shinobi. The eighteen year old was legitimately surprised that no one had appeared to deal with the arrival. Waiting for a couple minutes to pass he smiled 'May as we'll entertain myself...' he thought to himself before disappearing in his dark void of chakra. Stepping through Enma's realm he reappeared in front of the newcomer. The air before the shinobi would ripple with energy as Akkuma stepped out of a black void, nightmarish spectres visible just within the void. Out stepped the red eyed half demon who smiled a truly sinister grin as he bowed to the newcomer.

"Miroku Akkuma, Demon Sage of Mist...apparently the Cloud shinobi are busy at the moment. But I'm here now. So do you have any identification? What is your reason for coming to Kumogakure? And would you like a refreshment?" he said withdrawing two bottles of sake popping the top off the first, taking a sip as he held out the other to the man.

"So tell me what are your plans?" he asked with a devilish grin. Mischief was in those red orbs of his. What did he have planned for this encounter.

OOC: look forward to role playing with you

The man who started it all and installed fear into Sairasu’s very heart from the moment he could walk, had just arrived at the Cloud village’s gates. He was dressed in his usually clothing; a tarp thrown over a sleeveless T-shirt, and some jeans and combat boots. His long white locks hung down his back side, as his snow white beard just simply hung there. He’d appear as your normal, average, everyday drunk, except for the large sword he carried slung over his shoulder.

With each step, he drew closer and closer to the village’s gates without any sort of fear of being stopped. He wasn’t going to enter without permission of course, but he was certain things would be rather calm today. After a few minutes, he stopped and just stood there. He knew he didn’t need to say much. The sight of a man with his physical appearance and age, and sword, would surely draw enough attention to himself. "Hello there!" He shouted, in a calm manor as he noticed the two others near him. Slowly he approached the two of them, with a huge smile on his face. "Young men such as yourselves should be able to help me, no?" He asked, only before giving a slight chuckle and pushing his glasses back into place with his free hand. Anyone with any sense of sense’s could feel the overwhelming amount of natural energy circulating through this man’s body. For an old man, he still somewhat had a bit of his strength from back in the day.

[Requesting Entrance] [INPC- Taishou Gin; Sairasu's Grandpa]

The hidden cloud village was proving to be just the type of relaxation he needed. The women at the hot springs were very talkative and friendly, while the alcohol and food only seemed to touch his heart. Regardless, he was wondering if any visitors from the hidden mist had reached the gates recently. Deciding to head that way to ask if such has happened, he gathered all his equipment and went directly to where he once was. But, he did so as slowly and carelessly as he possibly could; stopping for food and drinks along the way. Hell, by the time he had gotten there he was already half way through a fifth of whiskey. "An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. I want someone to hurt you, make you die the way I do. I don't think that I could be so Cold hearted!" He sang on his way there.

Surprisingly, he wasn't anywhere near drunk yet. He could hold it very well and maintain his sense of well, his senses. But upon approaching the gates, he saw two people standing out in the distance. Stopping, he noticed neither one looked like Anbu and one was offering a “peace” offering, of some sorts after seemingly appearing out of nowhere. The other was a man who he once had a rather stupid argument with back within the hidden mist. ”Hmm, wonder what this is about? At least I know one of them is a misty, so I might as well stick around and have a chat with him once everything's said and done.” He said, as he tucked stepped to the side, hiding from plain view. Glancing back, he noticed a third figure approaching the gates. His eyes widened, and his heart sank to the very depths of his soul. Fear and a nervous feeling once again fell upon him by the appearance of this man alone. His grandfather had arrived; another member of the Taishou clan, the head of the clan at that, was alive and well. He hadn't decided rather or not this would be a blessing or a curse. ”Good to see ya, paw paw....”<i></i> He whispered under his breathe.

The three eyes Anbu patrolled the perimeter in full combat gear in order to be prepared for any type of situation he would have to handle. Although truth be told he had not been very focused on his duties as of late. There were many other things swimming through his mind. One of the larger topics was the Ancient Soul within the Primordial Realm he had met. An apparition named Uza, a creature who sought revenge against his former comrades. It was something that normally he'd have never accepted but due to the change in circumstances as a protector of the Masaru Clan he was fully obliged.

While on his patrol it wouldn't take long for Yuuto to notice two mean at the bottom of the gates, although it was hard to make out what they were saying from his vantage point. Moving closer the Anbu slowly began to pick up on notes about each man before deciding to take any further steps in the matter. One fellow had deep crimson hair and a rather plain look to his face. He seemed about average as they came, but the other guy was his complete opposite. He had a sinister look and presence about himself something that made the Anbu feel slightly nauseous. This sinking feeling was something he had been exposed to recently, to think it would be so strong out in the open.

Before moving in to make his appearance a third man showed up on the scene. He had the disposition of an experienced war vet and for a seemingly old man he was built well. The only notable features beyond his white hair that Yuuto could take note of was his silver hair and blade. So far none of them was brandishing Kumogakure headbands or paraphernalia. One more action was to be made before he went down into the depths. Yuuto would activate his doujutsu to get a clearer view of the three men's energy or whatever the readings could offer. He was still adjusting to his eye and the damn thing wasn't perfect but at the very least it had helped him identify abnormal sources of life energy.
[spoilername="CRPJ"]Would be nice if you guys described any abnormalities about their "Life/Spiritual Energy".
Name of Jutsu: Dojutsu: Jinsei no me
Yuuto_s_Eye.jpg

CRPJ Effect: Allows Yuuto to view "Life Energy" to tell if a target is alive or dead. As a Necromancer [Dark Sage] he has the uncanny ability to communicate with spirits. His third eye the "Jinsei no me" can view spiritual or life energy. This does not mean he can view a target's chakra or their chakra system for that matter. His vision is limited to what's in front of him, but he can sense nearby energies though they will only give him a vague reading. It is basically a scan in his general vision for signs of life energies or spirits and other readings. Chakra Dampening techniques may block this skill, and if his vision is obscured he cannot see. Especially if his third eye is harmed or sealed, then he cannot even activate this as it requires using the Third eye as a balancing medium.

Reason why it can't be used in battle: This jutsu requires Yuuto to be in concentration, and completely changes the way he views things. It's a constant flow of life energy and chakra running through his dojutsu which render other techniques useless. While in battle his chakra system would leave this balance until he is done fighting.
[/spoilername]

After he had got his reading he'd deactivate the eye and readjust his Anbu mask. It had changed in design recently becoming something more manageable and less obvious. For today it was a simple fox mask, something that was common among other Anbu. Yuuto would jump down to the ground floor and quicken his pace as he approached the three strangers. "We have quite a crowd here today I see. I'm Zenku Anbu guard of Kumogakure, I will need passports to verify identities and reasons for coming here." His words were simple and straight to the point. At the very least they could appreciate his genuine tone about his work not trying to give off a false air of superiority.

Smiling as he listened to the new man introduce himself, he nodded at him and reached out for the other bottle of sake. "Thanks for the sake and it's good to see a fellow Mist nin here, but I don't have much identification. I was rushed out of the mist during the natural disaster and didn't have much time to gather the proper documents." He said, as he looked down into the bottle and slightly sniffed it to reassure himself that he wouldn't be drinking anything shady. Taking a ship, he closed one eyed and swallowed. "Much stronger than I thought, but I'm just here to relax a little bit. I'm Hikaru Masuru, formerly of the Mist. It's nice to meet you Miroku Akkuma. " He said, before turning the bottle up and glancing at someone else approaching them. This time, it was an old man who asked if they could help him. Shaking his head again, he coughed and looked to the rather large geezer.

"I'm sorry old man, but I'm trying to get in the gates myself. I'm not from here." He told him, before holding the bottle down to his side and refocusing his attention to Akkuma. "So Akkuma, are you like a gate guard or something and how'd you do that cool little entrance trick?" He asked the guy only before one more person arrived and asked for information about getting inside the village. "Oh, okay so you're the gate guard? I don't have a passport, but I was in mist before a natural disaster and there wasn't much time for anyone to get any documents without being flash frozen...." He told the guy as he wondered what in the world was going on with this weird crowd. A demon, a man, and an old guy walk into a bar and ask the anbu for a drink. Am I right?

What a damn mess. Fuu had just been finishing his patrol when a call went out, announcing the arrival of yet another refugee. His patrol had brought him around the perimeter of the village, and as luck would have it his assignment had ended only a short distance from the gates. So with newfound haste the long legged ANBU flew to his perch, sprinting up the side of the wall on the way to the top. The gates were colossal, but familiarity facilitated an easy climb. By now the man new every nook and cranny of the massive structure, and he took comfort every time he reached the top.

Upon arriving at his perch today however, his heart sank. Down below on the outside of the gate, was a gathering of people. Only one could be indentified as a cloud nin, the rest were all strange. ‘Zenku, probably.’ He speculated from above, his heavy robes rustling in the wind. Near the familiar ANBU, but separate from the group was another recognizable figure, the hulking form of Taishou Sairasu, the former Kiri-nin who had been searching for his comrades. “Fantastic.” Fuu growled, clenching his teeth and balling his hands into fists. “The damn foreigners have all found each other.” In the ANBU’s paranoid mind, this marked the beginning of the end.

The refugees from Mist had just kept coming, filling his days with hassles and his nights with dread. Crime had spiked, vagrants were beginning to spread out of the containment slums and into the streets with the decent folk. The recent influx hadn’t helped Kumogakure, it was strangling it, and Fuu felt he was the only one to notice. The idea infuriated him, his malice growing each time he watched another foreign agent step into his land, welcomed with open arms and smiles.

Reaching a gloved hand up, he pulled the slide on his mask open, exposing his lips and chin to the chill mountain wind. Reaching into his tin, the ANBU pulled out a cigarette and sparked it quickly, inhaling the pungent mix deeply. His blood was boiling, and it took all his willpower to keep from jumping down and telling the whole group to leave and never return. “Go back to your frozen hellhole.” He spat into the open air, his words lost to the wind long before they could reach the foreign ears below.

[Sairasu, I took the liberty of assuming Fuu could see you from up top. I don't really plan on getting involved in this, I'm just character building, but PM if you'd like me to change it.]

Akkuma smiled as the man told him he had come from Mist. The half demon bowed deeply once more "How good it is to see another comrade, what are your plans? I'm recruiting if your interested. A deal has been brokered with Shin you should not find much trou..." he said stopping short as there was a new arrival. "I have no authority over these Gates but I had noticed that the guards were slacking...I simply decided to keep the peace till then." he said with a deep bow to the newcomer retrieving a third bottle of sake and handing it to the other guest.

"Miroku Akkuma, Demon Sage of Mist." he said with a large grin before taking a swig. "Well Masaru I use a Jutsu of my own creation to move through the demonic realm, I can even take other beings through the portal." he said with a wide grin how he did love people complimenting his techniques. When an anbu arrived asking for identification, turning to the shadow Akkuma reached into his robes once more withdrawing a fourth bottle of sake. Holding it out expectantly to the anbu before him.

"Well you see mister Shadow, our friend Hikaru Masuru is a Mist shinobi seeking a brief respite. As per the agreement myself and your Raikage his wishes for brief refuge should be no problem. And if you doubt your Raikage has a deal with me there is also one in place between Masa and Hayate Shin." he said in that devilishly charming tone of his, that sinister grin spread wide upon his face. Akkuma's tainted spiritual presence easily covered the area surrounding the parties as he grinned. "Zenku he is a former Shinobi of Mist, as an ex-Anbu of Mist I can confirm Masuru's story. And our friend here is a new acquaintance I haven't had the pleasure of meeting before this." he said calmly. With a deep bow he introduced himself once more this time to Zenku "Miroku Akkuma, Demon Sage of Mist and ally to Kumogakure along with Hayate Shin. Also Head of the Miroku Clan..." he said in a serious businesslike tone. Before smiling and awaiting for the anbu to do his thing. Was the eighteen year old crazy or had really brokered such a deal, even if so what was he doing at their gates?

Extending his hand, he grabbed a bottle of sake from the man and held it down to his side.”Thank you, youngin.” He said as he looked around and listened to everything happening around him. Truthfully, he wasn’t very interested in the situation and he was keen as to this familiar presence he sensed. With a smile on his face, he watched as an Anbu finally arrived and introduced himself. Nodding, he lifted his blade and thrust it into the ground before hm. Reaching over his shoulder, under his cloak, he pulled his bag out from behind him and began rummaging within it. ”Zenka, my name is Taishou Gin; leader of the Taishou clan.” He stated, as he pulled out a small black book and handed it towards him. ”You’ll find the last passport I had before my village fell victim to nature’s cruelty.” He said, with a kind smile. ”If possible, I’d like to rest and relax within your village for a couple days.” He told him, just to make his intentions clear.

Looking up to the gate, as the visitors and his grandpa talked to a familiar Anbu, he noticed the one who seemed to have an issue with him last time he was here. Climbing the gates, as fast as he possibly could, he stood next to the Anbu for a brief second. ”Anbu, it's nice to see you again. I don't mean to disturb, I came to see if any former mist shinobi had come to the gates since I hadn't heard anything since coming in. Anyway, you see that old guy with the sword? As a kid, he beat the holy living hell out of me…” He stated, before continuing. ”That man’s got strength the likes of which a heard of wild ox's couldn't compare to.” He told fuu, letting him know what this man possessed. ”I’m surprised he’s alive though, I thought I was the only one in my clan to survive. He’s my grandpa; though he’s harmless to anyone else. He just likes busting my balls in a sarcastic and training type of way.” He told the anbu, before crossing his arms.

Sairasu was trying to talk to fuu like he was a friend, even though they weren’t. He wanted to be friendly with everyone within this village, which meant making small talk while watching things unfold was essentially. Though, he knew the anbu would probably tell him to get lost. ”The other one, with the red hair is an Uchiha from the Mist village as well. I fought with him a long time ago and he’s harmless as well. But the other guy, I don’t recall him at all. I’m not even sure if he was with mist for sure, but I didn't know everyone and I can sense something dark. Stay on guard around him, but I’ll lend cloud my support if needed even though I know the village is strong enough to handle itself.” He told him, try to let him know what side he stood on if things went sour.

Glancing up towards the gate, he noticed who’s presence he had sensed just a few moments ago. ”Sairasu is alive? I guess mother nature showed a little mercy after all.” Said Gin, with a big smile on his face. Noticing the differences in him now, he made note that his grandson had grown up entirely. His figure was similar to gins, and his silver hair was just as present within Sairasu as it was he. ”What a stunning young man he’s become.” He thought to himself, with nothing but a happy feeling. His clan wasn’t gone yet.

When the bottle of Sake was offered Yuuto would shake his head and raise a hand. "I do not partake while on duty." He then continued to listen to the demon sage. His words were twisted in cockiness and false superiority. Did he believe the Raikage had a hold on the village this tight? It was clear that Shin's behavior was causing Reckless things on the rise and for every decision he made, there seemed to be a trend of the village becoming harder to protect. He'd sigh at this talk of a deal with the Raikage. This did not mean Akkuma held some type over them but he sure thought so from that grin.

The red headed man did not have a passport which was too much hassle, but the old man did which was good for something at least. Yuuto slightly sighed, once more for this was yet another hassle. "You know what funny thing is I shouldn't have to man these gates. It should mainly be the main branch doing this not the Anbu. Oh well my concerns are not yours. Look, um red-haired guy I did't get your name. I can't let you in normally but I can give you a form to fill out under a few stipulations. I'll need a name, past village of origin considering Mist was downed, I'll need someone to vouch for you. We have a few Mist Nin here. We'll need a possession of yours, and a sample of your DNA." Yuuto would look up around and scratch his neck before getting forward in the discussion.

"So here's what I'm going to do. I'll let you in under the condition that you head to the Kage Tower. Taishou Gin I think you'll find another of your kin in our village. I have to go for now but I'll allow the Gate Guards to let you in, and enjoy your time in Cloud. Please no trouble, no issues otherwise we'll have to come down on you. Thank you for your compliance." Before leaving he would stare at Masaru using the "Snapshot" Jutsu to gain an image of him. He didn't' have time for this shit, but if possible he could at the very least be tracked down and taken in but the guy seemed to be friendly just out of place. Yuuto would signal for the gates to be opened as we walked in allowing the three entry.

[OOC: Akkuma this takes place before you left, but as you know you're not really back in the village]

Looking up at the gate he smiled while the Anbu continued to talk about how this whole entrance thing would go down. Nodding at him, he looked him in the eyes as he finished. ”That big fella on the gates gramps here was talking about could vouch for me. He’s my rival but yeah I can do anything you need me to do. It’s no hassle.” He told him before walking into the village. "But my name is Hikaru Masuru and I wasn't an Anbu like that Akkuma guy said, I was only a chuunin. But yea, i'll head to this tower." He told him, making it clear that this Akkuma guy was just filling the Anbu ears for of crap.

Waving at them, he smiled and went fourth into the cloud village.

Fuu whirled around as he heard the noises of an ascent, diverting his attention from the scene below to discern just who was climbing his gate. To his displeasure, he found it to be Taishou Sairasu, one of the hundreds of refuges of the water country that had been granted access into Kumogakure. Stifling a sigh, the ANBU met the foreigners gaze coldly from behind his spider mask, assessing the large man in a quick, calculated glance. Ignoring the man’s ‘pleasantries’, Fuu listened intently to what he had to say. He had no reason to trust the man, but so far he nod been given cause to distrust the man either. So, keeping his eyes focused on Sairasu, he allowed the man to speak uninterrupted. "You see that old guy with the sword? As a kid, he beat the holy living hell out of me… That man’s got strength the likes of which a herd of wild ox's couldn't compare to.”

Turning his head slightly, the ANBU regarded the old man from above and made a mental note. According to the Merc, his grandfather would be of no threat. Fuu was inclined to believe him, considering how spotless the foreigner’s record was so far, but he would still be checking in on the old man during his stay.

After a similar assessment of the red haired stranger below, Sairasu began to caution Fuu about the third foreigner present. “Stay on guard around him, but I’ll lend cloud my support if needed even though I know the village is strong enough to handle itself.” Grimacing, the man turned his face back the bulky foreigner in front of him. ‘How ironic.’ Fuu noted, pausing for a moment before speaking.

“Thanks.” The ANBU said curtly, nodding his head once at the foreigner. It wasn’t in his nature to thank anybody, let alone a refugee, but Fuu felt oddly obligated to express his gratitude. Taishou Sairasu was still on his list of names to watch, but the man was proving to be true to his word, something Fuu could not refute. “Refrain from climbing the gates in the future.” He warned, almost as an afterthought, gesturing for the man to leave the way he came. Trusting the man would do as he was instructed, the ANBU turned back around to continue his watch. He was just in time to watch as group made their way into the gates. ‘Another batch past the screening. Something needs to be done about this.’

Akkuma stood there smiling it seemed everything was going smoothly "Well it seems you no longer require me to entertain you..." he said with a grin of mischief bowing to the group. "It was a pleasure to meet you all...may the Old Ones watch over you." with those words a void a dark demonic energy would open up beneath the demon. That foul chakra rising up to engulf his form with a shark-like grin he would give them one more parting message. "Seek me out if you need assistance..." as his words were finished the chakra disappeared along with the demon taken further away back to his brother. They had matters to attend to and he had some personal matters that he wished to attend to.

Splendid! Said Gin with a smile on his face; while simultaneously lifting his blade out of the ground and slinging it over his shoulder. ”Youngin, get down from there!” He called out, as he went walking into the village. ”It’s been a while since I last saw you boy.” He yelled out, towards Sairasu. Waving towards the group at the gate, he waited for his grandson to come to his side.

As everything played out, he heard the Anbu thank him and ask him not to climb the gates in the future. Giving a playful laugh, he nodded back at him. ”Understood, Anbu.”<i></i> He said, as he looked down to the group again. Suddenly, he heard his grandpa call out to him. ”Youngin, get down from there! It’s been a while since I last saw you boy.” He yelled out to him. Gritting his teeth, he walked to the edge of the gates and looked down. Glancing back, he said a few final words to the Anbu. ”Your loyalty and sense of duty to your village is clear as day. In fact, it’s astonishing. Those are qualities in a man I can respect, and perhaps one day we will be friends. It would have been a pleasure to fight beside a man of your qualities. Till next time.”<i></i> He said to the Anbu as he leaped off the side of the gate.

Landing down on the ground, feet away from his grandfather, he stood there and extended his hand. His grandfather did the same, but pulled him into him and gave him a hug. ”I feared the ice claimed you.” Said Gin, as Sairasu pulled back. ”It would have taken much worse than that to kill me then, even more now. There’s a lot I want to talk with you about.”<i></i> Said Sairasu, as his grandfather immediately replied. ”Yes, there is much to discuss, but there are some problems you and I need to handle.” Said Gin, as Sairasu looked at him with a puzzled look on his face. ”The Twins have survived and have gone into the world on their own." He told Sairasu, as he watched his face go blank with expression.

”If the twins survived, who else did? They were chained, sealed, and locked away for a reason. Those shit heads can't be let loose on this world too long.”<i></i> He asked and said. ”Your father, your uncle, your brother, and the twins sister.” He stated, in a serious manor. The Taishou clan was full of farmers, but among them were very few people with potential. Honestly, the only one who was capable of controlling their chakra was Sairasu and Gin, but the twins, Sairasu’s father, his uncles, and the twins sisters also possessed chakra, but they lacked control. It ran lose and caused destruction; most of them were locked or sealed away from the world, but now they ran free. ”Each of them are monsters in their own wright, but I can’t believe out of our entire clan, they managed to survive. I understand you and I; we have control and purposes. They had nothing but deranged thoughts and bloodlust, and now they roam free; threatening the lives of innocents.”<i></i> He said, as anger filled his face. He began to grind his teeth and closed his eyes while his face around his nose and upper lip began to twitch. Them being alive was probably the worst possible thing he could have imagined. They were his family and he loved them, but they were insane and dangerous. ”Sairasu, calm yourself.” Stated Gin, as he began to walk with him while his hand was on his shoulder. ”Together, we will subdue them.” He stated in a calm manor, knowing that in doing so, he would have to slay his very kin once everything was said and done. ”But, there is something I want you to do in the mean time while I search for leads on their location.” He stated, with a smile on his face. "Whats that, paw?"<i></i> He asked. ”Start rebuilding our clan; welcome anyone you feel is worthy into it. Also, start building your own family. You’re not getting any younger my boy, and it’s about time you experience the love of a family again.” He told him, with a slight chuckle. ”I appreciate you wanting to help me, bu–“<i></i> He said, as he was cut off by his grandpa. ”Just shut up and think about it at least.” He told him, as the two walked off into the village together. Biting his tongue and refraining from finishing saying what was on his mind, he replied softly. ”Okay paw.”<i></i>

With that, the two were out of sight from the gates.
