Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Maru carrying the man to Dragon Tooth Pass, the rogue had a smug smile on his face since he was the one doing the Anbu's job. For the man he was holding in his arms as like he was a bride was a Uchiha that had been wanted, the dreaded Uchiha Anatsu. The ruthless uchiha who killed a lot of Anbu, who kicked a few cloudies butts, who made false accusations about leaf and other wicked crimes! “On yer feet we are at the gates.” He stood the bounded Uchiha on his feet, looking at his face to make sure those eyes weren't showing and he pushed the scratched forehead protector down a bit then with a extra jump in his step Maru's kimono flew in behind him like a cape since his belt was used to bind the man exposing that underneath his kimono he was wearing nothing but pink women's panties, socks, and a pair of getta. “Behold my fellow kumokagure shinobi's for today we can write off a man from the bingo book!” He announced, then the demon gestured his hand to the man. “This man is a missing nin! The one and only Uchiha Anatsu! The man who beat up a few of our own and attempted to seduce me by offering up favors!”

Maru spun then held both his hands out as he continued. "This handsome, red eyed monster almost had me but I saw through his deception! Though we would make a pretty good couple he and I this man is wanted!” He pointed his hand to the sky then struck another pose. "And he has been brought to justice by the kumokagures very own Princess Of Heart and Protector of Love.” When he finished his dramatic announcement. Had to make it look like he come onto him before he started telling that Maru didn't leave him many options. It was either he went away, but if he came back his first stop would be Maru's cave where he lives so he could dress him up as a magical girl and with the secluded environment do god knows what to him. Plus he had to make sure he'd be an to guard him so he could get those snapshots. A dangerous S Rank criminal in a magical girl outfit was something he wanted to see and was pretty sure it's legal if it is a form of punishment. Besides the under prison didn't have that many guards so Maru could sneak in if he really wanted to.

Grabbing the man's wrist again, he pressed his mask then began to announce on his headset.“Hey there's a Sennin or a Kage on the other end of this? Got a wanted ninja, alive, indeed to go to that dungeon you guys have.” he stopped talking, putting his hands on his hips then waited with his tongue sticking out of his mouth. "Should be here any minute now....."

Despite having lived most of his rogue life in Cloud Country, the altitude of Kumogakure was always distinguishable. What the nameless chunin did not know, is that Anatsu was no stranger to these lands. His poor attempt to cover Anatsu's eyes accomplished nothing other than creating a deceptive barrier between Anatsu's eyes and his sharingan. When the Chunin finally lowered his headband, Anatsu's eyes were still closed. By the time he opened them, he had already lost interest in the Chunin. He was standing on his two feet, facing the greatest collection of rocks ever manifested by mankind, the Dragon Tooth Path. Anatsu gazed at the infrastructure with his big black eyes. Despite seeing it countless times, its beauty never failed to mesmerize Anatsu.

Anatsu's analysis of Yamamoto Maru
By his oddness, Anatsu could tell he was not sane. If he had to guess, the nameless chunin was probably not well liked either. However, his charade did not fool Anatsu. He was not as much of a fool as he let off. For starters, he did his homework. He noticed Anatsu from distance. In addition to that, he knew that Anatsu was an Uchiha, despite not showing him his sharingan. He took the extra measure of covering his eyes. In addition to that, he did not use a rope to tie Anatsu. He used a much more effective belt. Lastly, his attire was selected to make shinobi around him uncomfortable. This horned chunin took pleasure in every unorthodox advantage he could find.

However, he was no member of Kumogakure's Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai.

Having been an ANBU captain himself, Anatsu was well acquainted with the ANBU protocol. Anatsu was still breathing instead of being erased. In addition to that, he did not call ahead nor did he have the authority to bring Anatsu in himself. After a basic analysis, Anatsu reached the conclusion that he was arrested by a Chunin.

A measly Chunin.

There was no chance in hell that a Sennin would believe that the nameless Chunin was able to capture Anatsu; especially unscathed. Should they choose to allow Anatsu to live, it would not be without having to endure incredible pain and probably humiliation. However, Anatsu still did not regret his decision. There was a chance that Kumogakure itself would find use of Anatsu. Perhaps they'd hire him to assassinate someone.

Perhaps, this was the end for the Uchiha.

With his forehead protector now around his neck, Anatsu awaited his fate in his black travelers' cloack and his hands tied in a belt.

<FONTFACE fontface="georgia">A scrutinizing eye resembling smoothed garnet swept over the ancient forest from on high as a falcon came with its wings beating hard and fast. The raptor, grey like the clouds, was an obedient operator, moving with haste, scanning for his target— not for a mouse for a meal but a man for a mission. It let out frustrated screes which echoed far into the dense forestry below.

That sound penetrated a serene yard behind an old yellow bungalow enclosed by the wilderness. None other than Kaji Okada noticed the sound, who was busy filling a troth with oats at the time. His lithe form arose from his task, and he let out a fingered whistle to signal the messenger. The old chocolate-hued mare behind him nuzzled her face against his back, pushing him softly to go. Kukki the horse dove her head into the troth, more than happy to eat in peace. Kaji slid on a leather handling glove that had collected dust on a rack by the stable. He whistled again and held the arm outstretched, making a perch for the great bird to swoop down on suddenly. Kaji knew the message was the result of him being off-duty, notoriously with his headset turned off in search of a moment’s reprieve at home. However, as the Grand Commander, moments of urgency usurped his privacy, and he would always answer faithfully. Kaji was less than curious, but there was a change in his demeanor when he read whatever the falcon’s scroll contained. His melancholy changed into a cocky smirk, then a shit-eating grin, and finally a resounding cackle. “Really now?” He was speaking to the bird but it merely cocked its head in response, so Kaji set it free and hurried into the house— this would require a change to some business attire.

Not long after, the sound of thunder rolling would betray the peaceful skies over Dragontooth Pass. There was no storm coming, at least not the literal sort as it was merely the trampling of powerful hooves enchanted with runes of speeding. Chances for Kaji to ride his mount within the very vertical city on clouds were rare and often unnecessary, but today he had come speeding with dusting rising in his stead. “Who’s this ninja up on that nag?” Those words were from some hapless gate guard who hadn’t stood watch long enough to witness The Rider of Kumogakure before. “That’s Kaji Okada, the King of the North” answered another guard with a spear who forgot which show he was on. The pair watched Kaji dismount with his long raven hair tossing in the action, recognizing his rare qualities as an exotic native of the Earth Nation. Only then did the mare suddenly vanish into an ethereal mist, returning to her stable and leaving a knight’s chess piece on the ground, which Kaji collected. He came looking stoic and donned in ANBU regalia, sleek yet strong, haze gray with trims in flat blacks and bloody reds. Notably, he wore no mask and never did, keeping his name synonymous with his duty.

Anatsu would see that familiar scowl and emeraldine eyes bold enough to drive out old memories of their first encounter, one which warned him to never return. The utter disdain Kaji had for Anatsu, or really any Uchiha man like him could be read in the intensity of his smoldering. Without much regard for Maru, Kaji retrieved a heavy satchel of gold-standard yen pieces and tossed it to him. The toss was aimed low so it would hit him in his exposed bean-bag if he wasn’t dexterous enough to catch it, though Kaji expected him to manage that if he could apprehend a filthy Uchiha on the run. “You’ve done a service to the hidden cloud and all that jazz, Maru Yamamoto. Nice catch.” Kaji was focused but not too much to notice the absent clothing on Maru, adding “That’s the bounty paid in full, extra for bringing him back alive… Maybe you can use it to buy some clothing; that little tallywhacker is gonna freeze off when winter comes again.” See there, that was a dick joke.

“Anatsu Uchiha, nuke-nin of the Hidden Leaf,” said Kaji with his vocal tones emboldened. “You are being taken into custody as a detainee of the Hidden Cloud, to face trial for crimes you’ve committed in this land. I suggest you take a good look at the sun because this is likely the last time you will ever see it unless fortune continues to favor the foolish.”

Perhaps the slightest bit interested in what rebuttal Anatsu might manage, Kaji paused for a beat. But then came the theatrics as he spoke a single command: “Cierres.” On came a storm of white as three shinobi in starch-white robes emerged, seemingly from nothing as their concentrations on masked presences fell. All four wore porcelain masks with swirls of runes engraved, each with single eye slots so perfectly round, and white hoods draped over them. Three pairs of hands covered in white leather began flurries of motions in a practiced unison, molding chakra for a powerful jutsu. The force was enough to cripple a normal man, perhaps even suffocate them— but it was simply adequate for a criminal deemed heinous to the hidden cloud. Washing over Anatsu was a binding technique, which would lift him into levitation and prevent all movement, except for his curses if he screamed hard enough. The time for justice against the man with the pinwheel eyes had come.

“Normally I don’t care much for this stuff... incarceration isn't real justice to ninja,” Kaji said with a scoff. “But I’d be a lying dog if I said that I’m not enjoying this a little. To be honest, I’m pushing for a trial by combat... but whether that’ll happen mostly depends on you. Until then, enjoy the feeling of having no hope, Uchiha scum.”

While Maru waited, he looked at his wrist like he was looking at an invisible watch then looked at the uchiha then began to shake his fist at the restrained missing ninja. "Should have never come here!” He exclaimed since waiting was boring him, then in the distance he could see someone coming. A dark haired scary looking guy who looked anything but friendly, Maru didn't know who the guy was so he decided to ear hustle the whispering guards who announced the man as Kaji King of the North. Judging by the title, the guy seemed to be one of those scary high rank chimps, the kind of chimp like that scary buff dude who was about to kill kids because he got insulted. The rogue raised his hand then began to greet the man with a hardy "Hello there head Chim-” Maru only got that far before the man tossed him a bag of standard-gold yen right at the royal youkai jewels and Maru caught it right when the gold struck him as he went to clutch the gold and his devil jewels. “FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-!!!” Maru was in too much pain to even cuss, the masked man hunched over trying to rejuvenate from the dirty sneak attack he raised a hand while still clutching himself when the man gave him praise saying he did a good service for kumo. “T-Thank you! All in a days work.” The rogue squealed thanking him for the gold and for the beautiful pain that he was experiencing right now. He couldn't be more happier.

When the pain began to dull, the man told him the gold he had was the full bounty plus extra for bringing him back alive. Besides the gold and the pain Kaji also joked about him by calling his tallywhacker little, stressing the word little tallywhacker. “Pain, humiliation, and gold for my services? If I didn't know better I'd think you really like me Mr. Mustache Chimp.” he said, blushing a bit as he stood upright. Maru decided to stick around to simply watch as the uchiha was carried off to prison since it was almost like a public execution, Maru stood off to the side to allow the mask men to do their job at binding the man, while they did that the Youkai sage went into the bag then began to bite on a gold piece to make sure it wasn't fake gold or holy gold. The gold didn't bend when he bit it so that was a good sign, he placed the gold inside of a hidden pocket inside of his kimono.

When the man proceeded to take him away, Maru was surprised when the man called the missing nin a filthy uchiha. 'Now that's racist.’ the rogue thought, while he does do his fair share of discrimination he didn't think the uchiha was all bad since his best student is a Uchiha. He's gonna have to tell him there's a chimp cop who's racist against uchiha walking around so he should maybe… like… run if he sees him, or submit. Regardless seeing the missing nin off Maru raised his hand then waved bye to the man who wanted to be imprisoned. “Say hi to the rats for me, don't worry you're lucky because you get to see the inside of kumogakures dungeon! I heard they have some fun down there!” he rubbed his hands then began to giggle to himself, beginning to drool just thinking about the fun tortures he's read about from a different kind of dungeon that he was thinking of, it would be a paradise for someone like him even if it was one of those real dungeons. “Oh be careful! Don't look into his eyes or you'll get pox! Or be trapped in that funhouse genjustu where you get sadistically tormented for 72 hours.”

“You are being taken into custody as a detainee of the Hidden Cloud, to face trial for crimes you’ve committed in this land. I suggest you take a good look at the sun because this is likely the last time you will ever see it unless fortune continues to favor the foolish.”

It was only then that the Cloud shinobi had Anatsu's attention. He was deep in his thoughts. Great chess players analyzed their opponents' moves and remained several steps ahead. Anatsu was already planning several steps ahead of the arrogance of the Kumogakure ANBU. Anatsu would not look him in the eyes, nor would he turn to look at the sun. He remained calm, disinterested, and focused on the ground. It would appear that Kumogakure had no intention of returning Anatsu to Konohagakure. He would be tried in this village.

“But I’d be a lying dog if I said that I’m not enjoying this a little. To be honest, I’m pushing for a trial by combat... but whether that’ll happen mostly depends on you. Until then, enjoy the feeling of having no hope, Uchiha scum.”

Anatsu smirked as the ANBU captain finished and his men showed up. Their jutsu was powerful, and familiar to Anatsu. Without his sharingan, there was no escaping this trap. However, since Anatsu had no intentions of escaping, he knew he needed to relax, breathe slowly, and not mold any chakra in order to endure it. He let his body levitate as he prepared to head to prison.

Anatsu would then chuckle for a brief moment, in his thoughts,

"Maru Yamamoto huh?

The ANBU captain, like Maru, had not introduced himself. However, the ANBU captain did reveal the Chunin's identity. Anatsu would remember his name. “Say hi to the rats for me, don't worry you're lucky because you get to see the inside of kumogakures dungeon! I heard they have some fun down there!”

Thanks to the information provided to him by the nameless Sennin and Maru, Anatsu was beginning to devise his plan. There was no sunlight, which meant darkness and unmotivated prison guards. It was very likely that they relied on the underground security advantages rather than employing high skilled shinobi. In addition to that, the place had rats. Unless they kept Anatsu bound and suppressed his chakra at all times, Kumogakure would have to keep an eye on their rat problem. All Anatsu needed was for one guard to slip up. One eager guard to do something stupid. One guard to leave a door unlocked. Maybe, an odd chunin with a wardrobe fetish, sneaking in to untie Anatsu in order to dress him was the opportunity he needed...

"That or I could just arrest you then dress you in it while you are all chained up in the under prison. I mean no guards is down there and no missing have rights so I guess it's legal.”

"Yamamoto Maru..." began Anatsu out loud. "Good job."

As Anatsu finished congratulating Maru on a job well done, he closed his eyes and was ready to be sent to jail.

He now knew his name. The game just got a little more interesting.

<FONTFACE fontface="georgia">Just as quickly as the triune of ivory-clad shinobi had emerged, they vanished, erased from sight with Anatsu disappearing in the same veil. They were among a few chosen shinobi, each specially trained for the containment of duplicitous ninja like Anatsu. Watching them vanish, Kaji seemed confident in their abilities. He was sure that even if Anatsu attempted the Tsukiyomi that Maru warned him of, only one of the three specialists might falter. Any acts of illusionary subterfuge would likely be voided by their enchanted Masks of Clarity in short order. Once delivered into the belly of the Tarterian Specus, Anatsu’s abilities would likely be rendered null by the counter-measures in store. Recent events had forced improved security measures; that being the escape of Kaen Shinku, and subsequently, the so-called Queen of Monsters, Muii. Kaji’s eyes narrowed as he remembered those systematic failures for a brief moment; a simmering continued until he recognized time passing by. The shinobi working the Specus were hurting to prove how fierce of a force they could be— gods have mercy on Anatsu.

“Before you go,” Kaji said, addressing the Princess of Heart. “There will be a deposition for our edgy new friend within the week; or as long as it takes for him to start singing.” One long week of all the depravity one would expect, or so Kaji left up for assumption. “Given you were the one to find him, we’ll likely call on you for some fact-checking during the interview. I sincerely doubt that Anatsu understands what kind of position he’s been put in— actually, I’m pretty sure he’s lost his damned mind.” He remembered his past encounter with Anatsu, and how the cracked man attempted incredibly bold lies. “I’ll arrange for you to have access and call on you when the time comes if you’ll have it, Maru.”

Kaji waited a moment, courteous enough to respect a reply before stepping back six paces and revealing the chess-piece carved from bone once more. He set it onto the pavement and called for his steeds return, “Tonight we ride, Kukki.” The chess token vanished, and on came the sound of steel-toed hooves drumming from beyond the ether. With practiced timing, the mare emerged and Kaji leaped upwards to climb upon her saddle. Silvery fog trailed behind them as the beast swept in a swinging turn.
“And I’m serious about what I said before” Kaji added, grinning from the challenge of trying to hold onto his excited mount in her wild pacing. “What you did here was of real help, not just to the ANBU but the village proper. A lot of ninja couldn’t manage to bring in someone like that guy without someone dying over it. Your methods might seem unconventional but to me, it's all normal…” Kukki caught Kaji off guard with a slight buck, apparently ornery due to the sudden re-summoning. “... the ANBU could use some help from ninja like you, Maru. I’m sure you have commitments already, so I’m not expecting an answer right away!” On the word away his horse, with her attitude and understanding making a dangerous mix, took the accidental cue and began a gallop into the village. “Just throwing the offer out there--” he shouted before speeding off after the party who left with Anatsu in tow.
