Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Rookies and Teams [Surutameni, Tenrousei]

Back here, on business this time! Naoki was on the hunt for teammates. Two in particular.

It was Tenrousei and Surutameni right? Maybe something'll turn up if I ask that lady about them... She spotted someone near the entrance of the Complex who seemed to be redirecting people to the different areas contained within its walls.

Coming up from behind her, Naoki asked the short lady with a ponytail, "Excuse me, um, do you know who Tenrousei and Surutameni are? I'm supposed to look for them for the mission I'm going on."

Chitose Habara

"Tenrousei and Takeshi Surutameni? They're registered students here, but you need to be a genin on higher to take them on a missi..." Habara trailed off as she turned and saw Naoki's headband, and drew her conclusions. "I'll see what I can do about finding them, please wait a few minutes!" Habara replied with a perfectly professional tone and generically cheery smile, and began chattering into her headset. What would likely happen is the two students would be escorted to the entrance of the Shinobi Foundation Complex to meet with Naoki, and they would begin discussions about the mission there, but if one or both of them happened to be passing by, Habara would speak a few more words into her headset before pointing them out to Naoki.

Surutameni looked up at the Complex ahead of him, he sighed heavily. It was one of those days for him, long, boring, with nothing to do. Unmei was no where to be found as of late, and his training was going rather slowly on his own. He practiced the skills he knew but hadn't had a chance to learn more in, what seemed like to him as, forever. He had also made a few friends, but he wasn't sure how much time he would really be able to spend with them. The new knowledge he had received from his Sensei about his lineage recently weighed on his mind more than he honestly though it would, and caused him to doubt the chances of actually spending time with anyone.

The young boy huffed and proceeded towards the buildings ahead, glancing at random students and waving less than halfheartedly, with his opposing hand jammed in his pocket. He kicked a rock and it flew into the foot of a woman ahead, she was rather short, and had her hair up in a ponytail. She was also wearing a headset and chattering away with a young girl. He grimaced, he always hated interrupting people when they were mid-conversation, but he knew it wouldn't be right if he didn't at least apologize.

Surutameni ran a hand through his black hair and scratched the back of his head as he approached the two females. "Hey... I'm sorry I kicked that rock into you." He was staring at the ground embarrassed that he hadn't been paying any attention and had actually kicked a rock into someone, let alone someone who actually seemed to run things at the Shinobi Complex.

Chitose Habara

Feeling a slight tap on her foot, she turned instinctively towards the source of the rock and saw the boy she was looking for, paying no mind to the rock and just hurrying on with the introduction. "Oh! This is Takeshi Surutameni, one of the students you were looking for. Please wait a few more minutes for Tenrousei, we're having problems reaching her..." Habara returned to her efforts to locate the other student.

Naoki bowed politely and smiled. I haven't thought of how to greet my new teammates yet! Calm down, they're going to be about your age anyway... For now, umm... Introductions! Introduce yourself... "Hi, n-nice to meet you... I'm Samejima Naoki, genin of Sunagakure. Umm..." Now what? Now... uh... She noticed that Habara was writing something down in a ledger she'd brought out. "Ohh umm, we'll be going on a mission together! Y-yeah..."

I'm pretty sure there was something else... It had gotten a little awkward, as Naoki had no other things to talk about, and the boy seemed noticeably intimidating, even without her sight. If she'd seen that he was clothed in such serious colours, she would no doubt have been too nervous to speak at all. She pulled her headband down a little more, as if she wanted to hide herself from the current scene, and finally remembered to stick out her hand for a handshake. "Let's... get along well, Takeshi-san."

Checklist, checklist... 'name, shake, get along'. That should do for the next one, I hope she isn't scary...

Upon being announced to the younger girl next to her, Surutameni turned his attention there and nodded, unbeknownst to him that she couldn't actually see. He stood there for a moment, before tucking both of his hands into his pockets, he really wasn't too amused with having to wait for someone else, even if it was Tenrousei, who he considered as his best friend. Waiting just wasn't his style, it was do it now or never do it at all.

"Hi, n-nice to meet you... I'm Samejima Naoki, genin of Sunagakure. Umm..." She paused and the black-haired boy stood there with an eyebrow raised, sure he wasn't the most talkative one, but introductions seemed to be a rather important thing from what he gathered. "Ohh umm, we'll be going on a mission together! Y-yeah..." Surutameni was rather taken aback by the last bit of information. A mission..? Finally! His thoughts raced with excitement and anticipation, although it wasn't apparent on his face or in the way he held himself. Be cool... Yeah, this is just what I need. He mentally fist pumped and smiled genuinely in the directions of Naoki.

"Oh? This will be my first mission I have been on." As he responded the girl held out her hand. Surutameni looked at it questioningly before realizing that she was being incredibly formal, hand-shake and all. He took her hand and shook it gently, even though it wasn't his particular favorite way of greeting he figured he would humor her and play along with it. He watched her fiddle with her headband for a brief moment. "Let's... get along well, Takeshi-san." Takeshi-san...? Boy this girl is formal. He rolled his eyes. This is going to be interesting...

"I think I can manage that, Samejima-sama. Though, as this is my first mission, I hope I don't trip you up." Suru idly ran his left hand through his hair. Now to wait for Ten... Though I haven't seen her, in what feels, like forever...

Whoa wait no "S-sama- I'm still a genin, so you don't have to use 'sama' there Takeshi-san..." Gosh, is he super formal or something? Maybe he was raised by one of those families where you had to address everyone with 'sama'? Ducking her head, Naoki tried presenting a reasonable alternative. "Umm... you look older than I am, so just call me Samejima, or if you want, Naoki."

Chitose Habara

Habara sighed, mumbled a few words of 'thanks' and 'good work' into her headset, and informed the two of the situation she'd found them in. "Samejima-san, no one could locate Tenrousei. Did you want to try and find another student instead?"

Naoki tried to think of the best course of action at this point in time. Kuro-dono told me to go find those two... Maybe I should look around myself for a while? But that might take a long time, and this guy looks plenty strong already... Should I try just heading back to Kuro-dono and asking him if we could take this mission on our own?

She tilted her head back up to face him. "Takeshi-san, would it be alright if we went back to report for now? Toraono Kuro-dono sent me out to find you two, and he's a Sennin so we shouldn't keep him waiting... Besides, if no one else could locate her, I doubt we could do much on our own."

"Umm... you look older than I am, so just call me Samejima, or if you want, Naoki."

Surutameni chuckled to himself while he nodded and idly kicked at the ground. Naoki... Okay. Maybe I should allow her to call me by my first name too. The boy's thoughts swept through his mind with a rather slow amount of speed. He wasn't all here that's for sure but regardless, a mission was just what he needed to clear his mind. He looked around as they waited for what seemed like forever before the woman with the headset finally addressed them once more. She told them that Tenrousei wasn't able to be located and then proceeded to ask if they would like another student. Suru groaned at the prospect, he wasn't really good with other kids and he always had a hard time meeting them. Thankfully his female comrade didn't seem to be interested in getting anyone else for the moment.

"Takeshi-san, would it be alright if we went back to report for now? Toraono Kuro-dono sent me out to find you two, and he's a Sennin so we shouldn't keep him waiting... Besides, if no one else could locate her, I doubt we could do much on our own." She was looking at him now, awaiting his response. He scratched the back of his head before responding. "I think that will work. I've only met him twice before, but I agree... We shouldn't keep him waiting too long." He paused and tapped his chin with one finger. "Also! You may call me Surutameni, or Suru if you wish. 'Takeshi-san' sounds far too formal."

"Oh, um, okay then... Suru-kun." Naoki smiled, and gave a big nod. "I'll take you to him then, please follow me." She started walking off, before remembering her manners and rushing back to shake Habara's hands. "Thanks for the help Habara-san!" The lady in question smiled apologetically and gave a short bow before returning to her other business.

A bit of an awkward silence started up as she walked ahead, and Naoki saw fit to comment about something she heard about her new kinda scary but pretty friendly teammate.

Walking backwards, "Ah, so you're a swordsman? That sounds cool, I'm looking forward to seeing you in action Suru-kun!" A short pause as what she just said ran through her mind again. "Well, sort of." Chuckling, she walked on while trying to make small talk from time to time.
