Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Sousuke surveyed his series of targets. There were several caravans now going into Sora. To the Kazekage it seemed quite dire to send multiple caravans out at the same time. It was unlikely that the Daimyo was sending several slave caravans into the capital. Yet the movement was something Sousuke could not just ignore. Sora needed to be put in 'ice' one way or another. He wasn't sure why it had to be ice considering ice was slippery. It would be grand if all the caravans that were empty slid into each other while in Sora and did massive property damage. The slaves were something he had yet to figure out what they were used for yet. He had only intercepted caravans going into Sora, not the caravans going out of Sora. The capital was the hub of several things. The center to so many things. He who controlled the palace, controlled Sora. He who controlled Sorta controlled Wind Country. He who controlled Wind Country could do terrible things to those within Wind.

Sousuke took to the first caravan. Simple enough. The mercenary guard was not well trained. Surprising, but the Kazekage knew that the Sovereign were not going to be tasked to such a menial task. With the guard dispatched, Sousuke would begin to open up the crate to reveal -- food supplies. This was indeed a bust. Did Sousuke intend to starve Sora? He thought about it. To his success so far, no word has came out from the media about these strikes. No one would publicize a slave trade, most of it was kept 'mum'. No one in Soon's knew about this. Sousuke shook his head. Resources were resources. 'War was hell' it was a phrase his grandmother used. Sousuke was not a thief. He thought hard about the subject. Most things he tried to do were within the realm of what he thought Katuso thought was appropriate. Considering one of his meetings with him, it seemed that maybe Katuso was of a different mind when it came to over throwing the Daimyo. The ends justify the means was something that did not ring with Katuso. The Kazekage considered something. Sungakure had been giving homes lately to people who were displaced from all sorts of lands. Some of them were foreign ninja, others were the slaves who he gave a home to. Was it stealing when you were re purposing a good? ... ... ... Maybe? No. The true crime was to destroy these goods while there were at risk people. Sousuke would summon Ken to take the caravan in the dead of night back to Sungakure.

The next two caravans were intercepted. Again, Sousuke dispatched the escort with ease. This time there were soldiers of Sora present, and more importantly no one of the Sovereign. Again the Kazekage re purposed them, and this time gave instructions that these were to go to the people of Grand Palasis. Sousuke would move to the next caravan.

He watched as the caravan traveled and got into position. He was watching and waiting. He was preparing to strike when the caravan was lit up. Sousuke opened up headset comms, who else was acting in this operation?

"Communications. This is the Kazekage. Reporting from 56,81. Who authorized an explosive device on the intercept?"<i></i> He asked.

"Communications reporting. This is Specter. There was no authorization. You requested to be the only active unit in the area." Communications answered.

That did not seemed right. It was an annoying habit lately of his orders being misinterpreted, or something going above and beyond him. "Confirm active--"<i></i> He was cut short as the sound of firearms were at work. It was not a sound Sousuke was accustomed to. He knew the sound, he tried a firearm himself at one point. He didn't like the impersonal feel of it. He activated his stealth device and made his way to the explosion sight. He came across bodies of the Daimyo's men or perhaps the city guard? They were riddled with bullets and shards of broken glass. Each of them were put down rather violently and it seemed like whoever was at work had a score to settle here, a big one at that too.

Sousuke caught a glimpse of the attacker. He was an armoured man. He wore black armour reminiscent of some of the designs that Sousuke wore, but on the face there was a section of it painted white. Sousuke focused and came to realize that it was a skull design. The chest design too had a skull on it. The Kazekage and the stranger exchanged glances. For a brief moment, Sousuke considered the old saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend. The display though was reminiscent to something Shouki would have liked. The difference was the dead was not mocked in a display, no the dead were simply over killed to the point of not being recognized. Before Sousuke could go further, another explosion rocked the area. It rocked Sousuke off his feet. He was caught off guard. The Kazekage was then fired upon by the stranger and set off another explosion collapsing debris on him.

By the time Sousuke was able to remove the debris and get out he was alone. The Stranger who attacked the caravan retreated. In the short amount of time Sousuke had, he was able to draw conclusions, or at least have some ideas. One. The Stranger hated Sorta. Two. The Stranger left no survivors save for himself or perhaps he was unaware that Sousuke had survived. He did not bear markings of Suna, but he it was entirely possible he was merely operating out of bounds.

A mystery indeed to solve, but for the time being Sousuke had to return to Sungakure and see to redistribution.
