Character's Physical Description:
Arata is of an average height and weight for his age except for the fact he has a bit more muscle packed on the a normal person. This is due to his training of course to become a Ninja. Arata has black hair and matching eyes. For his fashion he generally wears the colors black, red, white, and a dark/navy blue. These colors are associated with the Uchiha clan so those are what he commonly wears so he can represent the clan.
For the style of clothing Arata doesn't have a sort of set preference. However he often wears clothes with a small collar on them which is kind of like a trademark of the Uchiha. However Arata will wear different clothes for the situation, a lot of times he mixes things up though mainly for casual wear. Arata attempts to have the Uchiha crest visible at all times. He takes pride in his clan despite what other people may think of it.
Character's Mental Description:
Arata generally has a calm demeanor and is what you would call happy. Basically meaning that he has a good vibe around him and isn't negative that often. There's a saying that one who walks with his head down will hit his head, one who walks with his head up will lose his footing. However one who walks their with their head forward will adjust their path accordingly. This represents an Optimist, pessimist, and realist.
Arata is a realist. He tries to see a situation for what it is though he will speak optimistically so he doesn't off put anybody else or cause a loss in morale or spirit. Arata overall values lives, especially of his teammates, over anything. Whether it's a mission or even his own, he values the lives of others and will do what he can to keep as many people alive as possible. This is why he will try to see situations in a more neutral way, finding the most realistic situation to get everybody out alive.
At times Arata will be sarcastic in a more humorous manner and enjoys jokes despite not necessarily being an outgoing and energetic guy. Rather he stays quiet a lot but doesn't mind intervening in conversations if it is something he is interested in or has an input for.
Character History:
Arata's birth was just as exciting as anybody else's. His parents were both of the Uchiha clan and were expecting their first child. The birth went as smoothly as you'd expect and out popped a baby boy. Arata was then raised and spent most of his time at home until he was old enough to go to school at the age of 7. By this point there was another child than just him, his family gave birth to another, a boy. Arata didn't give is baby brother much thought though. For now he focused on school, which would consist of both classes and training. Arata's training wasn't the same as everybody else's though. Sure he received the same training in the Academy, however at home his was different. Being an Uchiha gave Arata a natural affinity for fire which was the first thing he noticed. While taijutsu was important Arata also wanted to get a head start on his ninjutsu training. Arata mainly learned from his father who originally showed him the fireball jutsu.
Arata was determined to learn the fireball jutsu as soon as he could. His first attempt wasn't very successful, only being able to spit out some small flames. This caused Arata to furrow his brows and try again. Failure. Failure. Failure. No matter how many times Arata failed he would continue to try again. Finally he got it right, though Arata still kept trying, even after dark. He didn't practice until he got it right, he practiced until he couldn't get it wrong. However Arata wasn't satisfied with one jutsu, he wanted to learn more. His father was a busy man though who worked to put food on his family's table. So the obvious thing to do was go to the library and study.
Arata wanted to make his family proud. He wanted to become a great ninja for his parents and to become a role model for his younger brother so he studied hard and trained hard. He did his best to become the best ninja he could be. This was how Arata's life was for a while. At the age of 10 Arata learned a few more jutsu ranging from Fire to non elemental jutsu. He worked hard on developing a strong foundation so that meant focusing on the basics of taijutsu and ninjutsu. Being a Ninja didn't mean having the strongest most awesome ninjutsu, it also meant being flexible. He learned how to do different kinds of ninjutsu like transformation.
By the age of 13 Arata graduated from the Academy and became a Genin. This was the first step to becoming a great Ninja. However the next step was more like a plunge off a cliff. Arata's father had some connections with the anbu and was able to get them to take Arata along on a C rank mission so he could get some experience early. It wasn't something too difficult, especially for a group of trained and experienced Anbu. Normally a C rank mission was a walk in the park for them. Normally.
The boy brought basic supplies with him for the mission and met up with the group of seven Anbu. It was a bit of a large group Burbank with the mission to take out a small group of bandits holed up in a nearby cave, seven was enough to ensure no casualties and that nothing would go wrong, no chances. As the group got close to the mission objective it all just happened so fast. Arata tripped on a wire which triggered a trap, two chakra bombs falling from a tree which blew up in their faces.
As Arata was deafened and disoriented by the chakra bomb he laid on the ground, looking about. What he saw was a bit disturbing. He saw kunai soaring through the air to sink themselves into a bandit, dropping him as he then shifted his gaze over to seeing a dismembered Anbu corpse next to him, probably due to the chakra bomb. It was then Arata noticed the Anbu's blood splattered all over himself. His breathing quickened and his eyes went wide in shock. Everything was simply a blur. All around him people were dying, whether bandit or Anbu, the surprise ambush caught them flat footed and it was all his fault he triggered the wire. This man wouldn't be dead next to him if he didn't trip on the wire. Arata's eyes began to water up before suddenly he was grabbed, a hand on each of his shoulders as he was turned to look at somebody, an Anbu.
"You trained for this. This is what you have spent half your life training for. Coming out on this battlefield, risking your life and your comrades lives for the sake of the village. This isn't your fault, we would have been ambushed either way. So snap out of it and focus! ... this isn't a C rank mission anymore, this is B rank. Do you know what that means? It means you gotta shape up and get your shit together! We can't babysit you anymore, if you don't get up and fight, you're going to die. Defend yourself and eliminate the enemy with your life on the line, go out with the intent to kill. If you don't, then you're gonna die here." The anbu grabbed one of Arata's hands and pulled him up to his feet. Then he simply nodded and ran off to cut a bandit down with his short sword.
For Arata the world was still spinning. But as he thought about the anbu's words for a moment, he couldn't help it, he was just frozen..
"MOVE!" The Anbu screamed at him which caused Arata to snap to his senses and fall down to the ground, only being able to hear the sound of the kunai launch by over his head, surely it would have killed him. Arata quickly got back up to his feet, looking for whoever targeted him only to soon spot the bandit. The bandit couldn't help but chuckle, "Ready to die, boy?" He then threw another Kunai at him.
Arata wiped his eyes and looked up at him, this time the Kunai moving much slower than last time, he could see it. He spun out of the way of the Kunai and pulled out his own and threw it at the bandit as a counter. To his luck the kunai struck him in the stomach and caused him to topple over. Arata paused for a moment before running over to him and sliding into the ground, getting on his knees next to the man and pulling the kunai out of his stomach. Arata then gripped the kunai with both hands, holding it above the bandits head. He was shaking.
"Do it, Brat.."
The bandit was only able to sputter out those three words as the rest of whatever he would want to say got choked up by the blood he proceeded to cough up. Arata sunk the blade into his head silently while closing his eyes, biting his lower lip. He quickly pulled the Kunai out and looked over, seeing a bandit tackling an Anbu and was about to finish him. With quick thinking Arata charged over and drived the Kunai into the side of his head. The bandit slumped over as the Anbu got up and nodded to Arata before running off again.
What was supposed to be a few bandits turned out to be a much larger group. However after everything went down, the last ones standing were three Anbu and a Genin. The anbu that talked to Arata earlier came up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "You did good kid. And would you look at this, so you're really an Uchiha after all, eh?" The Anbu all looked at each other and nodded, all agreeing on the conclusion based on one simple observation. Arata's eyes had changed from their usual coal black color and instead to a crimson blood red with a single black tomoe within each eye. "Alright alright, that's enough of this. Let's just get the kid home. He's seen enough."
Arata never forgot what happened but wasn't affected too much. Instead of letting it change who he is, he used this event as a learning experience. Be prepared for anything. Not everything goes as planned. He wouldn't forget this experience. With some experience under his belt Arata took a week to recover both mentally and physically. He took this time to study more, reading whatever books he could get his hands on whether it was about Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, or anything really. However one of the main things he wanted to study up on was traps and weapons. He figured this knowledge would come in handy so learning about poisons, traps, and a multitude of weapons was one thing he studied up on during this brief period of recovery. After his recovery Arata returned to his normal training routine. If he learned anything from that mission it was that he had much to learn.
Through his studies Arata learned that it is possible to have more than one chakra nature and a lot of people did. The boy wanted to learn what his was as it would open up a lot more possibilities for Ninjutsu he could learn. Arata went through the procedure written in the book and figured out he could do lightning style jutsu. With this newfound knowledge Arata began spending a lot of his time working on lightning style jutsu. Whether it was teaching himself new jutsu or mastering jutsu he knew, he had a newfound liking to the style and began to spend more time practicing it. By this point Arata had begun to acquire a fair amount of jutsu under his belt and became more experienced by the day.
Now Arata is fifteen, he has grown a bit more as he works towards being a Chuunin. This is the next step in becoming a better ninja. Though now it is really important for him to better himself. His brother is now eight years old and has been in the Academy for a year. His younger brother looks up to him and Arata wants to protect him. This is what pushed Arata to continue to work his hardest. He needed to protect his family, his friends, his village. However it was baby steps first, and the next was getting himself ready for the next stage, to be a Chuunin.
