Name: Ryuunosuke Gin (竜之介 ギン, noble dragon, silver)
Age: 11
Physical Description:
Despite still being a young child, Gin is incredibly physically fit. Though not seeming to be all that muscular, his lean and wiry body belies a formidable strength beneath the surface. As far as height and weight are concerned he is about average, measuring in at 146.3 centimeters tall and 37 kilograms heavy. What stands out most about Gin are his vibrant hair and eyes, both a brilliant green in color. His hair is spiky and untamed with much of it covering the upper right side of his face, hiding his right eye from view. Gin's eyes are fierce and seem to denote a world-weariness unnatural for his age. His outfit isn't particularly flamboyant, but there are some odd aspects to it. With only his left hand being covered in a glove and his sleeveless green leather tunic's collar resembling that of the Aburame clan's signature outfit. Lastly, around Gin's neck is a white scarf inherited from his mother long enough for its ends to reach the backs of his knees.
Mental Description: After what happened to his parents it should be of no surprise Gin is a somewhat troubled child. Tragedy has led him to become resentful of those around him, and his clan as a whole, and world-weary beyond his years. Though this hasn't caused him much trouble this far, it can manifest itself in the form of aggressive outbursts during emotionally charged situations. Despite this, Gin is largely a calm individual on the surface and rarely lashes out at his peers. Preferring not to speak much at all unless necessary, Gin's quietness and family history can give him a bit of a disturbing emanation to those in-the-know. Generally speaking, Gin's thoughts are calm but incredibly judgmental. He is prone to thinking the worst of those he meets, damning them for their words and actions regardless of how much information he has about either. Even his friends aren't safe from this silent condemnation.
History: Gin was born to Aimi and Hayate Ryuunosuke, a well-liked pair of Jounin ninja in Sunagakure. While not particularly famous, both were known as stalwart defenders of the Village having put their lives on the line repeatedly throughout their lives to protect it and its interests. During Gin’s infancy and young childhood both his parents tried their best to instill these values into the youngster, succeeding for the most part. However, tragedy struck when, in the course of Suna’s conflict with the Cabal, Aimi and Hayate were killed in battle, orphaning Gin. While he did inherit his father’s Ancestral Weapon and Nanjirou bloodline, little else remained with the boy. Now being raised by his much less kind uncle on his father’s side, Gin grew cold and distant. His childhood was rife with misbehavior as he lashed out at his uncle and other children, until within a few years he transformed into a quiet and reserved individual. This was due to his legal guardian’s strict discipline, molding Gin into what he believed would be a great shinobi. However, despite his best efforts he could not change the boy’s thoughts. Now he has entered Sunagakure's Academy, the first step to becoming a great shinobi like his parents before him.
Nanjirou Writeup:
The day started as any other. While the village as a whole was constantly on edge due to their ongoing conflict with the Cabal, a warm sun and decent weather disguised this harsh reality. For a young Ryuunosuke Gin, playing hide and go seek with his friends was enough to pass the time. “Ready or not, here I come!” he shouted as his search for the other Sunagakure children began. Dashing from corner to corner, he made his way through the nearby alleyways and found his friends one after another. “Gotcha!” His exclamations and laughter rang out, painting a picture of a happy child with no worries in the world.
With only one hider left, Gin redoubled his efforts to find him. Sprinting out of an alley and into the street, he ran face-first into the bottom half of a stern-looking shinobi. This man was flanked on either side by similar looking hard faced individuals, all of whom looked down at Gin with a cold glare. However, after realizing who he was their gazes immediately softened into what could only be described as looks of pity. The head shinobi spoke to the boy as his hand reached down and pressed against Gin’s shoulder. “Come with us.”
After a span of five or so minutes of complete and utter silence, the group of four reached Gin’s home and entered the clay building. Once all were seated, the leader of the shinobi spoke out again with a gravelly voice which tried its best to be comforting to the boy. “Today at 0600 hours Aimi and Hayate Ryuunosuke died fighting valiantly.” From within his robes the shinobi took out a long cloth-wrapped object and a dirty white scarf Gin knew to be his mother’s. “These were the only effects recovered. They’re yours now. Your uncle has already been informed and will be along shortly. Aimi and Hayate were great shinobi, and you are their legacy. Remember this no matter what.”
After waiting a few minutes to comfort the young child they’d just was now an orphan, all three shinobi men stood and left the silent tan home. Minute by minute passed and no tears passed over Gin’s cheeks. Just silence. Once a few moments passed by, Gin gripped his mother’s scarf tightly in one hand as he unraveled the other object he’d received. With the cloth tossed to the side, he was greeted by a katana in a beautiful red sheath. And for just a second Gin thought he could hear the sound of spectral whispers coming from the sheathed blade...
