Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Duelist said:
A master of card battles and dice games, the user is undefeatable so long as they believe in the heart of the cards. A duel is an age old custom, extending back to the beginnings of modern combat. Those skilled in the exchange are well suited to fighting in one on one combat.

Information
Prerequisites: C Rank

Effect:
- +2 Accuracy/DC and +10% damage towards a single target. User must choose target at beginning of battle. Should the target be KO, or no longer in the battle, the user may choose another target. Targeting any other opponent (excluding clones) from the initial target will nullify this ability for the remainder of the battle.
- +10% chance to auto-dodge the targets attacks
- -2 Dodge/Save to any other opponents targeting the user

Notes:
- When choosing a target, the user must declare what type of Accuracy or DC buff they wish to receive. Either Melee, Ranged, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, or Puppet. The type of buff remains constant as long as this ability is active.
- Clones are considered an extension of their owner and all above effects will still apply.

Arashi had never been one to care for fighting, but as a Shinobi it was pretty much second nature. At a young age, she was never really pushed to her limits, but her grandfather still taught her many tips, tricks, and skills. One of those skills was the ability to analyze her opponent, focus in combat, and keep track of them. So, dedicating herself to truly mastering this skill set, she pushed herself to the limits and focused on analyzing everyone and everything around it. It took quite some time for her to master these specific set of skills, but she never gave up. Before she knew it, she could 'duel' with the best of them.

Free Ability Slot #1: Shinobi 101; Kinetic Genjutsu uses Ninjutsu Accuracy

In the world of a Shinobi everything can change in just a blink of an eye. Majority of the time, the same can be said for combat. For ages, there has been dozens of fighting styles that came about and brought a significant change to the way Shnobi do battle. One of those in particular happened to be the art of Genjutsu. Knowing how essential Genjutsu was to survival and turning a fight around, Arashi made it her goal to learn as much as she possibly could. Unfortunately, she was inacurate in her ability to cast Genjutsu onto a target. It seemed as if it was nearly impossible, until one day she stumbled on a new training tactic. Many people had learned how to cast different types of jutsu, as if it weren't what it was originally intended to be. Taking a closer look at this training method, she devised a plan to use Kinetic Genjutsu she already learned with the same form of accuracy she would cast her Ninjutsu with. This ability took some time, but with weeks of practice, she eventually mastered this technique.

Ability #2: Elemental Illusion
Roleplay for Elemental Illusion said:
After mastering the ability to use Kinetic Genjutsu with her ninjutsu accuracy, she decided to convert the genjutsu into more of an elemental form. One way to do that was to infuse the genjutsu with elemental chakra, which was somewhat of a specialty of hers. Being born a Santaru, she was already capable of using advanced elemental ninjutsu and had the ability to convert more basic forms of elemental ninjutsu into an advanced elemental type. Using the same principles of turning eletric of water based ninjutsu into the storm element, she eventually developed a technique to give her Genjutsu somewhat of a lingering elemental side effect. Unfortunately, she was unable to adapt her advanced elemental chakra into the genjutsu, but this was oe hell of a step for her as a Shinobi.

Ability #4: Jutsu Expansion

Even though she had recently been training herself with the Art of Genjutsu, it was time for a change in pace when it came down to it. Ninjutsu had always been her specialty, so focusing on her strongest aspect was the obvious choice. As of right now, really about the only thing she wanted to do with Ninjutsu was learn how to increase the strength of her lower level Ninjutsu techniques. And honestly, that wouldn't be an easy task. In fact, throughout her trials and attempts, she ended up doing more harm than good. Sometimes, her jutsu would explode in her face and kick her backwards. Knowing she couldn't do this on her own, she took time to speak with stronger members of the village and strangely enough, each and everyone of them seemed to give her the same advise regarding what she wanted to do. Taking their advise into consideration, she focused on controlling her chakra and reassessing her jutsu. With time, she learned how to break the limitations of not only her basic ninjutsu, but as well as taijutsu and genjutsu. This honestly seemed like one of the greatest accomplishments she had ever achieved.

Considering she was only a Chuunin, Arashi knew she had a lot to learn. For that very reason, she tried her best to only train with people who she could learn a lot from. Majority of those people were extremely experienced, and of a much higher rank than she was. But, because of that, there was always a lot for them to teach her. One thing in particular would be that she was unfortunately wasting a lot of time in combat and not properly utilizing many of the opportunities she had. Of course they had to explain this to her multiple times, but she soon learned the importance of a well timed counter attack. Though, being able to properly utilize it came with more practice than she really even realized. But, with time and effort, she eventually managed to make countering her opponents at every opportunity second nature.

Ability #6: Initiative
Roleplay for Initiative said:
Taking the initiative was something that Arashi didn't exactly feel comfortable in doing. She was the type of person who wanted to assist every situation she was involved in, but unfortunately that bad habit had it's downfalls. Sometimes, she would be hit first in combat; causing significant problems later on in the fight. Growing tired of giving all of her opponents the ability to strike first, she had to keep in mind that her life was on the line. Not only her life, but her career and who knows, one day even the village's security would be on the line. With that as motivation, she began to do whatever she could to take the initiative in combat by striking first, poisoning her enemies before they could poison her, and causing as much chaos as she could right from the beginning. After a few combat experiences, she found that shit was a much more suitable fighting style for her. Interestingly enough, she still found a way to thoroughly assess the situations she found herself in.

Ability #7: Elementalist

In the Shinobi world, there happened to be a word to describe people who were capable of performing some of the most outstanding ninjutsu feats and that was "An Elementalist". They were capable of altering the shapes and forms of their jutsu, just to fit whatever their needs were at that time. Arashi wanted to be classified as an elementalist, but that was easier said than done. But, she knew that. Learning from others and the fact that she already had a good idea on where to start, she focused all of her time on learning how to manipulate her chakra and Ninjutsu to that extent. Of course, as with any new ability, there was a lot of trial and error. Though, through everything she managed to overcome those challenges and develop this technique.

  • Metal [Major Earth + Minor Non-Elemental] - Perhaps the 'strongest' form of all elements; Metal is a chakra nature emphasizing sheer strength and durability through chakra vastly hardened into powerful metals. Metal is renown for creating both the strongest attacks, and most durable of defenses.

At an early age, Arashi was blessed with not only a bloodline limit, but a unique and powerful talent for Ninjutsu. Quickly, she mastered the basic elements one by one, until there was nothing left to learn except seemingly new techniques known as "Advanced Elements". Arashi stumbled upon these during one of her many nights spent at the village's library. Oddly enough, there were dozens of them and each one of them seemed more unique than the last. intrigued, she decided that in order to set herself apart from the average chuunin, she needed to not only learn, but master as many of these as she possibly could.

For now, her main focus was "Metal" based ninjutsu, which was a combination of both earth Ninjutsu and Non-elemental Ninjutsu. Having mastered over a dozen Earth Ninjutsu, and having a natural affinity towards Non-elemental, Arashi figured this would be an easy task. But, it proved to be esier said than done. The books she read on mentioned these advanced elements, but never went into indepth details on how to use them. In this aspect, she was on her own; which meant, she had to figure it out without any help.

Fortunately enough, she had plenty ideas on how to go about doing this. Focusing her chakra, she analyzed how it reacted when she performed both an earth based ninjutsu, and a non-elemental ninjutsu. Once she noticed it's differences, she began to take note of their similarities; something she figured would be repetitive once she went to learn other types. After that, it wasn't long until she came up with the bright idea of using her chakra to pull the minerals out of dirt, and form metal. For her, this seemed to be an easy task, but it was was a challenging one.

Before long, she was capable of performing a basic metal Ninjutsu known as "Steel Clone", which would create a clone of her made out of steel; capable of performing basic earth, non-elemental, and metal ninjutsu. While she had not perfected this new art, she had definitely gotten acquainted with it enough to make it worth using.

Roleplay for Advanced Element Gravity said:
  • Gravity [Major Lightning + Minor Earth] - Gravity happens to be another particularly unique element; it takes the force around us and alters it with chakra. This allows gravity users to multiply this power or shift its focus, crushing or outright tossing around their enemies.
  • I already have these Gravity Jutsu Mastered from rebirth; they're mentioned in my training and profile.
Gravity Distortion[Master], Anti-Gravity[Master], Orbital Strike[Master], Gravitational Pull[Master], Graviton[Master], Clutch of the Giant [Master], Forced Polarity [Master], Inertial Control [Master], Shinra Tensei [Master], Chibaku Tensei[Master], Newton's APPLE [Master]

After learning how to use metal ninjutsu, Arashi found herself studying a new type of Ninjutsu which focused heavily on combining lighting and earth based ninjutsu, to defy gravity in her favor. Taking time, she decided that since she already knew how earth based chakra reacted, she now needed to study lighting based chakra to the same degree. She needed to know all of its properties, which was something she initially neglected because of how natural her abilities were. Watching her chakra flow wildly, while forming lighting based chakra, she noticed on how it moved along pathways that offered the least resistance.

Not only that, but the less resistance meant stronger chakra, while more resistance meant weaker chakra. Lighting, in itself, was simply amazing to her and probably far beyond her comprehension, but this didn't deter her efforts. After thinking about it, she finally found some similarities between both earth and lighting, and felt it was time for her to start training to learn how to manipulate the gravity based element.

Stupidly, she performed hand seals and reached out to a book across the room. With her chakra focused, she attempted to move the book from one spot to another. This didn't work and in fact, she simply wasted a small amount of her chakra. Failed attempt, after failed attempt, after failed attempt; she began to become hopeless at learning this new type of Ninjutsu. Taking a few days break, she began searching all over the library in an attempt to learn a little more. Eventually she came across a small book, detailing someone else's thoughts and ideas on how to perform gravity based ninjutsu. The person mentioned using the electromagnetic fields around objects, while giving it a more solid form to forcefully propel objects in other directions.

Studying this book, from cover to cover, she went right back to work attempting to move a simple book. It took hours, but eventually she managed to pull the book off the table. While she was a long way away from perfecting this new art, she was now capable of manipulating her chakra to perform gravity based ninjutsu.
