Physical description: 5'10", 154lbs. Of Miyako heritage, and therefore has dark skin and formerly dark brown eyes, as well as black hair that she has allowed to grow out at her bosslady's behest since she didn't care either way how she looked; even if it resulted in tangles. She usually wears a loose dark blue hoodie and rolled-up sweatpants concealing about 200 pounds of training weights on her at all times. 400 if she's feeling particularly energetic. When these are taken off, she is able to move much faster than the average human sprinter and be able to honestly call it "just a jog." Her old standard-issue sandals had been grown out of by now, and she has since been able to snag a new pair off some poor guy in a gladiator arena.
Mental description: Playful disposition. Is more shrewd about her surroundings than she used to be. Worries quite a bit about how people view her, but not enough to change her ways whenever she wants something done. Smarter than she lets on. Is fond of speed training in particular, as well as the kokyuu she carries around. Despite her name, she isn't a fan of seafood, but is definitely a vicious carnivore. Can be seen brooding about certain past actions in the arena.
History Up To Enrolment: Naoki was found by a relatively poor couple, who traveled as nomads along a coastline, in a basket by an old fishing shed stocked full of tools and instructions. Beside her was a kokyuu, a bowed instrument. They ended up settling near that shed, and managed to give the girl a decent upbringing.
This family was caught in a particularly nasty duel amongst shinobi when she was five, but instead of looking at it as a traumatizing experience, she looked up at the fighting figures and quietly whispered to her mother, once they were all safe, "I want to do that too." Her mother, Kishino, consulted with her husband and he said he would wait and see if this fantasy ever went away. It didn't, rather, it increased to include being a kokyuu player on the side, after witnessing a visiting nomad play and learning she had one with her when her parents found her.
With her height and build at eight, a result of her experience helping her father fish, her parents agreed to make preparations to send her to Sunagakure in hopes that she will carve a better life out for herself. Pulling a few strings with her relative already living in the village, Kishino wished her the best and sent her on her way a year later, with a large tuna in tow.
Story So Far
After practically lucking her way through the Diamond Maelstrom and encountering Jingo, a member of the Toraono clan, Naoki was taken to the Toraono Dojo where she was given training and much hospitality.
Following her training, her dormant Hashigaki bloodline awakened and she lost her sight. Since then, she's used her headband to cover her eyes as a gesture of her determination to keep improving with her current situation.
Quickly adapting to the changes happening to her, Naoki exhibited quite a bit of mental and physical development, though still has a slight aversion to others her age, and has gained the will to survive as a shinobi after passing the genin exam.
She has contributed a little help in the efforts to re-enter Sunagakure, and is currently overwhelmed by the sheer power of those she's met, days after entering the shinobi world.
Assigned a mission to help the people of Sunagakure recover stragglers of the Cabal, Naoki conducted the interrogative part of the mission and gained information about those behind the Cabal.
Shortly after the mission, with guidance and patience from the Main Branch Sennin Toraono Kuro, she regained use of her eyes for short concentrated periods of time as well as the ability to open her inner chakra gates: Hachimon.
She managed to stumble upon the relative she was sent to meet, and goes to live with her for the duration of her time as a Sunan shinobi.
Completed a mission that had her rescue an odd new friend.
Some emotional exploration was done in regards to one of her friends leaving the village, though to her supposed knowledge it wouldn't be for long.
Put to work as a gladiator in an illegal ring after washing up on unknown shores, Naoki is now trying to find her way back into her old groove in Suna.
